quick redesigns for some old ocs today, i still plan on playing around w their designs more, especially gadgets cuz im not very committed to the markings, but im happy with the general directions so <3

while not the OLDEST designs bcuz gadget started out as a gray wolf, the left is still from years ago, and theyre characters who always had very basic designs since they werent major ocs and i just didnt mess w them much or have a lot of ideas for them. maybe drawn when i was in high school or something? regardless fun for me to see

i only realized i had old art of them moved over from my last laptop onto this one after i had drawn the new dirk design and was pleased to see that my memory of ‘i think he was plain red and yellow? or something?’ was correct

So heres some options:

Chuuya transitions while with the Sheep, that funky gang of gender kiddos. He'd be accepted at least in that way.

Chuuya transitions after joining the mafia. A swift departure from canon but could be fun to think about if you're ready to fudge with BSD.

Alt timeline where chuuya wanted to be a Boy since a little kid and N just decided "that works" when faking his death and creating a new identity for him. This implies that N is not transphobic no he is anyways bc N has no redeeming qualities </3 Chuuya's just legally a male now.

Lets talk about timeline 2 ok.

Chuuya had the title of "King of Sheep" back when He was still a She. He always had his hair cropped short to make his gender relatively unknown.

Brief encounter during Fifteen, Dazai's like "huh your actually a girl? Thats not very King of Sheep of you" and Chuuya kicks him again

Getting assigned to Kouyou meant that fashion was Important. Kouyou tried to encourage dress in very pretty feminine clothes like she did with Kyouka, after a lot of kicking and screaming she let him have his way with clothes of his choosing but only if it was very expensive and fit.

Generic teen skk fic set up, daz and chuu needed to attend this extremely fancy gala type event, and chuuya's stuck wearing a dress. Till Dazai's master psychoanalysis skill kicks in and he's like 'i gotchu bro' leads chuuya to his closet of identical looking generic black suits. They're a little big for chuuya but he was happy, AND Dazai got a swell view of chuuya in his clothes so it was a win-win.

I think Kouyou was the first one to start referring to him like a "boy" (she knows whats up with the transfemme swag) Dazai also started going like. " dude" "bro" "man" you know, guy terms. And the Flags were the firat people he was like, asking if they could use different pronouns, and Lippman called him a "he" and that zinged something in his brain.

After he came out, Mori changed his bribe "If you get to executive, i'll get you your top surgery" Mori was gonna pay for his surgery anyways. Happened sometime after Dark Era around 20ish

He did get started on T like as soon as the Boss found out. Mori might be a bad person but he's the trans rights president!! ^v^

Chuuya got kinda lucky being naturally flat but during some low points you Know my bro was still up in the unsafe binding business. At least until Dazai found out where his missing bandage rolls started going and Kouyou and him staged an intervention.

He messed up his ribs pretty bad a couple of times

Chuuya's never conformed to the gender binaries by default. but once he got out of his "i need to fit in" mindset, presenting "traditionally masculine" stopped being the biggest concern. So now lets himself have *fun* with his hair and clothes.

Poor guy is still really insecure. Low key always in a state of worried about his looks. Like Yes he may seem confident in his gender but bro still got the Thoughts plauging him. Dysphoria king 😔

When he reunited with Dazai in the dungeon, he was subtly going like. "Heeeyy. Hey notice anything different about me?? :3" and Dazai annoyingly misses "nope same old chuuya as he's always been"

Dazai does recognize that chuuya was trying to show off that he finished transitioning. Right b4 leaving (and the rich girl impression) he surpise attacks with a good ol "yeah lol jk. Congrats on the transition btw you're looking very handsome these days" bonus points if there's an unxpected behind hug.

Chuuya and Daz get together sometime after s3. Dazai become a borderline annoying cheerleader whenever chuuya takes off his shirt

The choker thing is so facisnating to me as well because if you look at chuuya’s concept designs one of them has a choker but the one that doesn’t has bandages on chest (they may be scars idk I could be stretching since he doesn’t even have the gloves) (congrats on your top surgery king) so it’s probably something meant to tie his design back to dazai???

They do tend to mirror their outfits. Particularly their current outfits with Dazai's beige outfit and Chuuya's mafia outfit. However in general Dazai and Chuuya's necks are always wrapped.

Maka - being some variation of bi/pan makes sense, but it would also be funny if she was just straight and heterophobic. She probably had a phase where she just said something like, “I don’t like to LABEL myself!” but got better.

Soul - Straight, probably the straightest main character. Maybe ftm, but really that’s his own personal business and we shouldn’t pry. Congrats on the top surgery, hope you get over the horror of seeing your own blood, King.

This is a picture of Nick Cave and his wife leaving the inquest into their son’s death. Their 15 year old boy fell from a cliff after taking acid and becoming disoriented. 

I cannot even conceive of how terrible it must be to lose a child. The drugs and the cliff make it an episode of Skins (or Euphoria for the zoomers) but that’s your little boy. It was a stupid accident and now you never get to see him again. A teenaged tragedy. Unendingly unfair. 

Ghosteen, the 2019 album from Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, is a complex, existential album in conversation with the death of Nick’s son and his feelings of loss and grief. Brad Pitt has been a cultural fixture for decades - after all this time, people still find him fascinating. And they expect him to date someone who is equally compelling. The new sugar baby angle which has emerged in the last week (late October 2020) is basically calling her a whore. This is the level of suspicion and derision directed at a model dating a public fixture like Brad Pitt. The notion that Brad Pitt would pay for female company or sex is patently absurd. 

If our assumptions about models are correct, why do so many models end up with artistic geniuses? I don’t care about the Victoria’s Secret models who hooked up with the bassist from Kings of Leon. I’m talking about beautiful women who made it with icons, the premier humans of the past century:

Huge congrats to all the models with more than one entry on the list. You’ll note that there is a dearth of female icon/male model pairings - this is kind of interesting but not something I feel like getting into.

To some extent, the prevalence of the artist and model pairing makes sense. Men like good looking women. Rich, powerful men are high status and have access to good looking women. Plus, an artist needs a muse.

Many of the models in the list above are actually iconic in their own right. Like, when someone is having a great day on RuPaul’s Drag Race and looking sleek and skinny and flawless RuPaul might compare them to Iman. People pay $10,000 USD for handbags named after Jane Birkin. 

Conversely, in the case of Amber Rose, she became the most desired woman in the hip hop industry c. 2010 because she was with Kanye. And most especially because she broke Kanye’s heart. Everyone wanted the girl from “Hell of a Life”. People point to that song as being about Kim - it was prophetic, yes, but not written about her.

Anyway. Could an icon, a legend, a genius, make it work with someone who had nothing to offer but a fast metabolism and a beautiful face? Do poreless skin and puffy lips make up for never finishing high school? 

Wouldn’t being with someone superficial or unserious mean the artist was fundamentally boring in some way too? This is increasingly the assumption about Leonardo DiCaprio - seen above photographing his 23 year old model gf for her Instagram. Even Reddit mocks him for his age gap relationships with models.

And here’s where I try to make my point: 

Kate Moss’ daughter, Lila, recently had her modelling debut during Paris Fashion Week. It was big news because she’s celebrity spawn - and of course her mother is one of the most iconic models ever. She was eviscerated. 

On The Daily Mail, the comparisons to her mother flowed. What’s interesting is that Daily Mail readers do not like Kate Moss but they will defend her 90s modelling career with their life. They laud her bone structure, her waifish figure. An irresistible, undeniable face. 

It seems silly to praise someone for the shape of their head and the way their skin fits over it... it’s not a talent, is it? Maybe it is! There is no shortage of hot girls in the world - but there may be a shortage of girls with preternatural charismatic beauty. Lila Moss (left above) is attractive - she even looks quite a bit like her mum. Perhaps in the pic above she even looks hotter than her mum (right above). But Kate Moss is more interesting: less perfect - half her eyebrow is missing, she’s less manicured. She exudes some kind of darkness, newness. Lottie Moss, Kate’s younger half-sister, is a similar story. Obviously attractive, obviously interested in modelling - but she’s lacking something. 

Bella Hadid came from a similar-ish background to Lila Moss (Bravoleb parents, frequent appearances on Real Housewives of Beverley Hills in her teen years, groomed by her ex-model mother) but Bella Hadid has it. She may have risen through the ranks due to nepotism and cosmetic surgery but she is someone people want to look at. She is sought after - not foisted upon us. Again, it’s not because she’s the hottest woman on the planet. She is gorgeous, but on top of that, there’s something beguiling about the angles of her face.

What’s this thing that clicks in your head telling you that Kate Moss’s face is more interesting than her daughter’s? It’s an intrusive thought: her skull shape is pleasing, let your eyes linger. A command: you will not forget that face. 

Iman has it. Look at her. On meeting Iman, Bowie said: "I was naming the children the night we met... it was absolutely immediate." How many beautiful women had Bowie met in his life? How many had this effect?

Can you imagine trying to keep David Bowie or Bob Dylan interested in what you’re saying? Or Madonna? Or Michael Jordan? Most of us do not have a single thought in our head which would be of interest to these people. The models I listed earlier transfixed them. Mick Jagger could have romanced every woman on the planet - but he only wanted Jerry Hall (pls disregard affairs so I can make my point). 

When a model hooks up with an artistic genius, it’s illogical to assume she’s vapid or that the icon is with her for shallow reasons. What we should assume is that she is the most interesting woman that icon has crossed paths with in a long time - which would make her very interesting indeed.

MUMBAI: It hasn’t been an easy ride for Tushar Deshpande, who made an impressive IPL debut in Dubai on Wednesday night, taking two for 37, including the prize wicket of Ben Stokes, to star in Rajasthan Royals’ 13-run win over the Delhi Capitals. In the beginning of 2017, the talented Mumbai pacer, who had begun to impress with his pace and control in the city’s maidans while playing for Parsee Gymkhana in local cricket, went through tremendous personal strife. “In January, I suffered ankle posterior impingement, which required a surgery, and hamstring tear one after other. The injuries were going to keep me out the game for about a year. In March, I learnt that mother was suffering from (ovarian) cancer,” Deshpande told TOI from Dubai on Wednesday.

At a stage in his career where his sole focus had to be on cricket, Deshpande did well to cope with the massive personal blow, which ultimately saw his mother succumb to the deadly disease last year. “Her whole treatment period was tough, because it’s not just the cancer patient, but his/her family members too who too suffer, seeing the patient in so much pain. However, my father was a pillar of support for me at that time. Since I was injured in 2017, that one-and a-half-year period was very tough for me as I was not playing cricket, and my mom was suffering from cancer. Through that year, I just kept my hope, and focused on getting better with my rehab and fitness,” recalled the 25-year-old. On Wednesday night, Deshpande, bowling yorkers consistently, gave away just eight, when the Royals needed 22 off the final over, with Rahul Tewatia and Shreyas Gopal at the crease. After the game, his Capitals’ teammate and South African pace ace Kagiso Rabada praised the youngster’s ability to fire in yorkers at will in practice, and even called him a “future India prospect.” “I felt really good after making my team win and bowling in a crunch situation. It was something which I did not expect in my first game. I was just focusing on my death bowling whenever I was practicing, and just tried to execute what I had practiced. I was not trying anything new, as it was ‘game time’ and current situation. I’m now looking forward to do much better in the next game,” said Deshpande. A few tips from ‘KG’ in the nets about handling pressure helped the Mumbaikar cope with IPL arc-lights for the first time. “In the match, he didn’t say much. Last week, the young turk, who was still awaiting his IPL debut at that time, sought tips from South African pace great Dale Steyn after a game between the Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bangalore in Dubai. Deshpande sought Steyn’s advice on how to work on his fitness as a fast bowler. “Since he was the No 1 Test bowler for eight years, I asked him what exactly is the recipe for fitness for a fast bowler at the international level. I’ve managed to remain fit for first-class cricket, but I wanted to know how he remained fit for international cricket. He just said: ‘Its repetitive, good work, over and over again. It’s a simple thing, but you tend to miss it. It was important for me that Steyn told me this. I felt very good after listening to him,” Deshpande had said in a video tweeted by the Capitals.

Like any budding pacer, he was in awe of Steyn, who picked up 439 wickets in 93 Tests@22.95. “I was just watching his eyes for a while. I’ve seen them on television, but this was the first time I saw those ‘crazy eyes’ in person. It’s an unbelievable feeling. I still can’t believe that I spoke to him, because speaking to your idol is a surreal feeling,” said Deshpande. Deshpande’s willingness to learn seemed to have left a mark with Steyn too. “Nothing better than meeting people who are enthusiastic and excited about becoming better players. “Despite the fact that his mother who was suffering from cancer, which was in stage four, he never changed his schedule. He was either in the gym, hospital, practicing or playing matches,” said veteran journalist Makarand Waingankar, who’s the youngster’s mentor. A couple of years back, Deshpande had impressed West Indies pacer-turned commentator Ian Bishop with his pace and accuracy in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. On Wednesday night, Bishop praised Deshpande’s impressive start in the big league. “Congrats to @DelhiCapitals again. They are a formidable team. That was some of the most exciting fast bowling on show in one game. Nortje, Archer, Rabada and don’t forget Tushar Deshpande were brilliant. Oh, and Ravi Ashwin too very good,” tweeted Bishop.

In 2016, Deshpande was amongst the four fast bowlers chosen by the IDBI Federal Life Insurance Bowling Foundation for a training stint at the Centre of Cricketing Excellence in Queensland in Australia, under former Australian pace great Jeff Thomson. “From the time he came under ‘Thommo’ in that Bowling foundation till now, I have been impressed with his work ethic. He proved that yoga, especially pranayam is useful to a cricketer,” said Waingankar. Deshpande plays for Parsee Gymkhana in Mumbai’s local cricket. “It was an absolutely brilliant performance by him on debut. I’m really happy for him and his father. Unfortunately, he lost his mother last year to cancer. However, he stayed mentally strong, worked very hard on his fitness and waited for his chance. I always used to tell him just one thing, do all the things that are within your control and leave the uncontrollable, and he did that,” Khodadad S Yazdegardi, who’s the Vice-President and cricket secretary Parsee Gymkhana, told TOI on Wednesday. Yazdegardi is also a member of the Mumbai Cricket Association‘s (MCA) Apex Council. “I feel proud, and felt even more proud when the Capitals’ bowling coach (Ryan) Harris praised him a lot about his attitude and said he is a very good death overs bowler. He proved him right by conceding just eight in the last over. His biggest plus point is that he is a very good student of the game and a fast learner. In short, he has a very strong character and always gives his 200%, even while playing for our club in the local tournaments,” praised Yazdegardi. Interestingly, the IPL hasn’t been amongst Deshpande’s top priorities. The talented pacer wants to play for India in Test cricket. A couple of years back, he was asked by Kings XI Punjab to appear for a trial at Mohali, but he stunningly, he preferred to skip what some would term as the ‘chance of a lifetime,’ deciding instead to turn out for his club Parsee Gymkhana in a Purshottam Shield second round match against CCI scheduled at the same time at Parsee Gymkhana. Last year, a big furore took place in Mumbai cricket when Deshpande was dropped from the Mumbai team for the Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy. After much hue and cry, he was eventually included in the squad, and proved his worth with some good spells.

Thoughts on June 16th 2017

I set my alarm to wake up for the finale of “Produce 101″, but I was so tired , so I went back to sleep.

*insert voice* WHAT ARE Y’ALL MAD ABOUT TODAY? When I woke up I was happy for some trainees debuting,yet confused about others as well

First of all, I’m so happy for Jaehwan, because the fans slept on his potential, but he rose to the occasion and I’m so proud of him. His vocals is the best in this competition. Also happy for Sungwoon, cuz he really deserved to debut (TAEHYUN’S SUPPORT FOR HIM MADE ME CRY!!!!!  HOTSHOT LIVES)

I also wish the other trainees who made it in the top 11 the best of luck. (the group name “WANNA ONE” is UGLY PERIOD. Y’ALL COULDN’T THINK OF SOMETHING ELSE “MNET”)

I’m shocked that Daniel was able to still maintain his number 1 spot (I’M SO HAPPY FOR HIM, CUZ HE WAS ONE OF THE MAIN REASONS WHY I CONTINUED TO WATCH THIS SHOW) 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 . I wonder if he will be the leader of the group?

I’m really happy for Daehwi (I DON’T KNOW WHY HE GOT SO MUCH HATE, BUT HE IS SO TALENTED AND I WISH THAT SAMUEL DEBUTED WITH HIM). Congrats to Seongwoo, Minhyun, Jisung (THE MEME KING). I was not shocked by Jihoon, his fan base is no joke !!!(HE WAS GOING TO DEBUT THE MOMENT HE DID HIS POWERFUL WINK AND FAN GIRLS WENT CRAZY AND LOST THEIR SHIT)  😂😂😂

Now I’m really upset for the following trainees who I’ve been rooting for since day 1:  

1. Jonghyun- I can’t believe y’all could not get the one trainee who’s leadership skills pushed the confidence of your faves to step it up and debut in top 11 (I NEED ANSWERS KFANS, CUZ Y’ALL WHERE THE ONES THAT COINED THE TERM “OUR NATION’S LEADER” BUT HE NOT IN THE “NATIONS TEAM”???) WHAT KIND OF LOGIC IS THAT 😭😭😭. I kept calling him that every time he popped up on the screen, now I’m mad. He’s a good rapper 😭😭😭 . HOW DID HE RANK #14???

2. Samuel - I basically got into this show because of him. He is a young multi-talented and hardworking individual and he deserves better. He can do it all and as a trainee, he probably has largest international fan base (THIS IS WHY I WISH THE INTERNATIONAL FANS COULD VOTE). Samuel not making it into the top 11 is the biggest joke I’ve heard today! As for some Knetz who continued to bring him down by making racist and xenophobic comments and continued to bully this kid talking about he is not a VISUAL and he needs plastic surgery (SHAME ON YOU). I’M JUST SO UPSET. HE WENT FROM #5 TO #18 REAL QUICK, LIKE REALLY. I NEED ANSWERS TODAY. #JUSTICE FOR SAMUEL 😭😭😭 . I will continue to support your journey no matter what. (SOME KFANS STAY PRAISING ONLY HALF WHITE IDOLS) 

3. Dongho- This man can FUCKING sing and his voice is so smooth. I’m pissed. A part of me was prepared to see him not debut because he didn’t get a lot of attention, but leading up to the final weeks he started to shine and I was like yes he might be lucky (BITCH I WAS DEAD WRONG, WHY DID KNETZ GIVE HIM THE NICKNAME “SEXY BANDIT” AND NOT LET HIM PROSPER.” Y’ALL DID HIM AND JONGHYUN DIRTY 😭😭😭)

THANK YOU NU’EST MEMBERS FOR YOUR HARD WORK AND TALENT, YOU HAVE GAINED A NEW FAN 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾. Y’ALL GOT THE FANS SHOOK BECAUSE YOUR SONGS ARE RISING ON THE CHARTS  AGAIN👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

I’m not ready yet to watch the finale after reading international fans reactions on Twitter (CUZ THIS SHOW GOT ME FEELING SO MANY DIFFERENT EMOTIONS).
