Kasus menarik nih. Pasien wanita usia 23 tahun datang untuk menambalkan gigi kiri bawah yang berlubang. Gigi berlubang sejak 2 tahun lalu, namun tidak pernah menimbulkan keluhan dan belum pernah dilakukan perawatan. Sekilas dari oklusal tampak giginya baik- baik saja, dan hanya tampak karies di sisi proksimal (mesial). Setelah saya ambil jaringan kariesnya,ternyata lubangnya lumayan dalam. pengambilan dari oklusal sudah langsung mudah sekali tembus ke dinding proksimal.. Ternyata kariesnya juga sudah menjalar menuju distal. Preparasi dilakukan sampai seluruh jaringan kariesnya terambil, dan dibentuk seperti umumnya preparasi klas II (isthmus, channel, dovetail). Kemudian dilakukan pemasangan matrix band (saya pakai merk Omni Matrix, bahannya seperti celluloid strip) untuk membentuk dinding proksimal. Kemudian dilakukan penumpatan dengan bahan komposit dengan sandwich/layering technique dimulai dari pembentukan dinding proksimal.Setelah itu hasilnya dikurangi dengan finishing bur dan dipulas dengan rubber stone. Aiih, walau susah, tapi alhamdulillah puas deh sama hasilnya. Pasiennya super koopeatif, thank you!
