Elevate Your Interior with UPVC: A Contemporary Approach to Interior Design in varanasi
In the ancient city of Varanasi, where tradition meets modernity, interior design trends are constantly evolving to blend heritage with contemporary aesthetics. Amidst this dynamic cultural backdrop, UPVC interior design has emerged as a revolutionary choice for homeowners seeking durability, style, and sustainability.
UPVC, or unplasticized polyvinyl chloride, is a versatile material known for its exceptional performance in various applications. In interior design, UPVC offers a myriad of benefits that cater perfectly to the unique requirements of Varanasi's homes.
One of the primary advantages of UPVC in interior design is its unmatched durability. Varanasi's climate, with its hot summers and humid monsoons, can take a toll on traditional materials like wood or metal. UPVC, however, is highly resistant to moisture, corrosion, and termites, making it an ideal choice for doors, windows, and furniture that withstand the test of time.
Moreover, UPVC's thermal insulation properties contribute to energy efficiency, helping homeowners maintain comfortable indoor temperatures year-round while reducing reliance on artificial cooling or heating systems. This not only enhances living comfort but also promotes sustainability by lowering energy consumption and carbon footprint.
In terms of design flexibility, UPVC offers endless possibilities. Whether you prefer a classic, heritage-inspired interior or a sleek, modern look, UPVC can be customized to complement any style. With a wide range of colors, finishes, and textures available, homeowners in Varanasi can express their unique taste while ensuring coherence with the city's architectural heritage.
Furthermore, UPVC's low maintenance requirements make it an attractive choice for busy homeowners in Varanasi. Unlike traditional materials that require regular polishing, painting, or varnishing, UPVC surfaces are easy to clean and maintain, saving both time and effort in household upkeep.
From a sustainability perspective, UPVC interior design aligns with Varanasi's cultural ethos of reverence for nature. As a recyclable material with a long lifespan, UPVC contributes to reducing environmental impact and conserving natural resources, reflecting a responsible approach to interior design that resonates with the city's ethos.
In conclusion, UPVC interior design presents a compelling solution for homeowners in Varanasi seeking a blend of tradition and modernity in their living spaces. With its durability, energy efficiency, design versatility, and sustainability credentials, UPVC stands out as a material of choice for elevating interiors in this ancient city.

A review of Alice G. Guillermo's Philippine Contemporary Aesthetics
In today's world, art has evolved. Every nation and tribes have their own signature style that when you see an art, you will be like "Oh! That's from *toot* back in *toot*" or maybe "ooohhh.. I haven't heard that before, but I think it's from *toot*." The texture, technique, material, instruments, etc. could determine the origin of an art. By 'art', we have songs, poems, dances, paintings, sculptures, and a lot more which an individual expresses herself/himself. BUT! It does not just define one's self, hence, it defines and reflects the society where and when the artist/creator belong. According to Alice Guillermo, "Art is socially and historically situated and is shaped by the materialconditions of society." And here's where aesthetics come into the picture for it is the philosophy of art. Guillermo defined aesthetics as "[a branch of philosophy that] has something to do with conserns of content, as well as of form, with the nature of art and its place vis-a-vis society."
The real condition of Philippine culture was revealed in the text-and that condition is cultural identity crisis. The reason why we - Filipinos, have an unstable cultural identity is because of our history of colonization. This crisis is the one that our Filipino artists are striving to resolve and give justice. The foundation of our culture identity is weak - as well as the foundation of the Filipino language. If our Filipino artists' and scholars' goal is to eradicate culture alienation from its own, then why don't they just focus on developing it - making works that truly defines the Philippines, instead of making accounts that states the problem of Philippine culture vis-a-vis its society. In the sense, it does not help, and it's just making things complicated in the idea that it does not end the problem - just acknowledging it. Anyone who would be reading this kind of texts may be inspired and may decide to write something that also involves Filipino culture alienation. It will just go round and round not resolving the problem at all.
With the realization, in contrary with the latter, that Guillermo's text, Philippine Contemporary Aesthetics is also an art - in correspondence with our society. She wrote in the third premise given that:
"aesthetics itself, like art, is socially and historically situated and shaped by the social conditions of a particular time and place. This implies that aesthetics is not universal nor true for all men and for all time, and neither should there be a dominant aesthetics that imposes its standards on different cultures, but it differs from one place and time to another, from one culture to another."
Therefore, the account is not making anything worse, hence, it is the reflection of the status quo of Filipino culture, in the span of its evolution through history. Aesthetics is not something that has an imposition of a constant standard which will dictate if an art is beautiful and creative or not. With whatever condition a place may have at a certain time, and an art was made in reflection to its status qou, it is an art - a genius' art. Thus, she further explained, "Only a process of reeducation will from centuries of miseducation will heal this alienation from our deepest sources."
Also, with regards to the idea that artists should be the one to preserve Filipino cultural signature would be a bit restricting to some. For they will be locked up with following the patterns available in Filipino art ONLY. This approach of preservation is condemning the growth of our Filipino artists, Guillermo explained.
Furthermore, Guillermo created an art that corresponded with the modern problem of Filipino culture. She created it with aesthetics.

“Retaso ni Nanay”
Tumblr media
It’s that time of the year again: wherein the country is well aware of, and is hyped up for any art related events which only happens during the whole month of February. The university, in the light of the recent event and celebration of art, has set up a gallery in the 4th floor of the Main Building; and shown above is a picture of an art work created by Ms. Rica Dela Cruz, an artist who depicted the struggle of our indigenous people in contemporary times through her medium of mixed media art, entitled “Retaso ni Nanay.”
The artist herself wanted to unfold the story of our indigenous people fighting for their ancestral land against the abusive and opportunistic system of the government. The title itself already implies the materials that are used in creating the artwork: the fragments or remnants of different pieces of cloth, that was made and collected by her mother, in different colors, shapes, and sizes which signify the unity of people, especially the unified struggle of our indigenous people fighting against the unjust treatment of the state upon them. From the picture, we can see that the painted indigenous is covered, dressed, and surrounded by different pieces of cloth that looks native and ancestral, which indicates and should persuade us to support their battle to help them preserve and protect their land, culture, and identity, as well as their only source of livelihood.
The creator has also mentioned that her inspiration in doing this art was the on-going Laiban dam (Kaliwa dam) project in General Nakar, Quezon, which proposes that it will provide water “security, reliability, and additional” supply for Metro Manila; but, this begs the question: is a progress in one place at the expense of the human rights of other people, a progress at all? The arrows on both sides of the person can obviously represent that their idea of development is not parallel to theirs; that moving forward or the so-called “development” should not come at their expense of what is theirs. You might have also noticed as to why there is a painting of a Chinese dragon and an American eagle above the diverse woven pieces of cloth; the aforesaid dam project is now funded by the Chinese government, which the Chinese dragon symbolizes, instead of making it a Public-Private Property/Partnership (beforehand, the San Miguel Corporation has set an eyes in making a contract with the government in this project): this itself signifies the willingness of our own government to sell our land to countries who would most probably take advantage of these contracts. The American eagle, on the other hand, is most likely signifying the continuous connection and chains of our country to the US; but, how could we ever be free from it if the economic development of this country has been wholly dependent on foreign investors and companies? In addition to this, the symbols above could also denote the fact these are the countries fighting each other to determine who will the government allow to exploit our natural resources and public utilities. (Notice: NO FOREIGN COUNTRY WOULD EVER PUT OUR COUNTRY’S INTERESTS ABOVE THEIRS.)
In analyzing the title, it could speak for itself when the word “Nanay” could somehow be interpreted to our “Mother Nature” who is now in grave danger in our fast-paced globalizing, capitalistic world; in the world wherein as if profit is the only thing that would keep us alive, and as if the environment’s existence is for our unethical consumption only. The fight against development aggression could also be beyond the political, cultural, and social struggles that our indigenous people have to face, over time, we should also put into consideration the environmental damage these projects would wreak.
Overall, the art was indeed creative, evocative, and compelling; it did not fail to show us the vital role of art which is to enlighten and provoke the resting consciousness of the masses, that is: the immediate action of the people to support our indigenous tribes in their fight against development aggression. The development of today may not always mean security of the future. With this being said, it shows how the state has failed to do its duty to protect and to provide for the people, and I do hope that these are enough evidences to send out the message that even our own government endorses the system of exploitation by letting private and foreign sectors make their profit out of our human rights; that the people seated in authority do not represent the struggle and do not serve the interest of the masses, especially of those who are in the marginalized sector of our society. After all, we are a nation of diverse culture and tradition, which I believe should be mutually supported, equally served, and correctly represented.
