George Condo, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy Alt Cover

In 2010 George Condo received a call from Kanye West to collaborate for his upcoming album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. After meeting in person and listening to the album George created five different covers, this being one I always thought was really fitting. Using contrasting styles of cubism and classicism he was able to paint a scene that feels out of a Shakespearean drama that perfectly incapsulates the story being told in the album. One of a man who reaches a level of power that inevitably leads to his demise, such as the king who loses his head. It also poses the king with his eyes open symbolizing Kanye surviving the self imposed exile after receiving wide spread criticism following the infamous Taylor Swift VMA's moment.

I've always loved the color palette chosen as well as the ability to use contrasting styles to create the image. Kanye has made a career of weaving musical styles together in his music, so it is was in my opinion genius to also use this approach in the albums artwork.

The last of the power macs before they went to intel's and became just another PC wearing a convincing mask.

The G5's design is iconic as it is heavy, this machine weighs 50 lbs (22.6 kg)

It's also surprising how much of the machine is just heatsink. The entire design is around a simplified air flow, air in the front and out the back.

Dual G5 chips with 4 8 GB of RAM puts it solidly above most PC's of the era unless you were running a Intel core2 or AMD Athlon. (I know the photo shows 4, but I installed more RAM.)

But the question I want to know, can it game and can it beat the XP gaming rig I ran?

Left work early because of a snowstorm. Thankfully now I have more time to study. 

Last nights study session was awful. I got tired way too quickly and just could not focus. Tonight will be different. My goal is to finish all my weekly readings tonight so that tomorrow I can start my assignments that are due Friday night. **Correction, there is no way I will be able to finish my readings tonight because they are way too damn long. I will finish the reading on cost of capital and NPV, and quickly skim through the assignments to see what topics they focus on and study those.  These assignments take up way too much time! Unless if you remember every single thing from university it is impossible to complete them in an hour! I spend way too much time looking up pointless stuff for the assignments I barely have any time to go over the competency map and study what I actually need to know for the exam. Let’s see what I can accomplish tonight. 

I feel like my problem is that I am used to getting 7.5 hours of sleep every night. I am used to going to bed at 10:30, 11pm latest. So if I study past that my body automatically shuts down and its impossible for me to study late. I just have to get motivated to stay up late and not look at the time.
