by Corey Walker
Arguing that anti-Zionist activists are part of a long tradition of “freedom fighters” and “liberators,” Hill implored the US federal government to revoke all economic and diplomatic assistance to Israel, including support at the United Nations Security Council. He also argued that defeating Zionism is a necessary stepping stone on the path to ultimately dismantling capitalism.
“Stop it! Tell the truth! Stand up for freedom!” he said. “Do the work of liberation! Until Palestine is free, until Sudan is free, until Congo is free, until Haiti is free, not one single one of us free! Free Palestine, from the river to the Motherf—king sea!” Hill said, triumphantly pumping a balled fist in the air.
“From the River to the Sea, Palestine shall be free” — a popular slogan among anti-Israel activists — has been widely interpreted as a call for the destruction of the Jewish state, which is located between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea.
The Algemeiner asked the panelists why there was no mention of Oct. 7 or Hamas when discussing the causes of the ongoing war in Gaza. The outlet also asked whether the panelists believe Hamas should surrender in exchange for the sake of preserving Palestinian life.
“I feel like we have this reflexive take in American media politics where we have to say, ‘What about Hamas?'” Hill said in response in a mocking tone, adding that invoking the terrorist group is “unnecessary” and “excessive.”
“Hamas hasn’t surrendered because they’re still under brutal occupation. Hamas hasn’t surrendered because Israel has never given the Palestinian people one minute, one moment of self-determination, freedom, or liberation,” Hill said.
“And so, when you talk about Hamas, when you talk about Oct. 7, you [should] also talk about Oct. 6. Because, history didn’t start on Oct. 7,” he continued.
Hill went on to say that although it is against his “moral code” to maim, rape, and slaughter thousands innocent civilians or abduct hundreds of innocent bystanders, as Hamas-led Palestinian terrorists did on Oct. 7, he believes that it is not his “job to tell people how to liberate themselves.”
“The question presumes, and it is undergirded by a kind of orientalist, white supremacist idea that Palestinians are these unyielding, barbaric, uncivilized, premodern people that are incapable of negotiation.”
The academic then defended Hamas as a “democratically-elected organization that has been systematically undermined.” He urged the audience not to talk about Hamas “like they’re some irrational crazy people,” arguing that the Islamist group’s actions are motivated by a “backdrop of Israeli settler-states that sexually abuse people, that steal land, that kill people.”
“Let’s have a real conversation about Hamas, not the neoliberal, dishonest, orientalist conversation about Hamas,” Hill concluded.
Hill has a long history of peddling anti-Israel narratives and calling for explicit violence against the Jewish state. In 2018, Hill was fired from his position as a CNN contributor for calling for “free Palestine from the river to the sea,” a phrase which according to critics implies a genocide or mass expulsion of Jews from Israel. He has also voiced support for the boycott, divestment, and sanctions movement (BDS), an initiative which seeks to isolate Israel from the international community as the first step toward its eventual destruction. The pundit additionally praised antisemitic Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan — a hate preacher who has referred to Jews as “termites” and called Nazi leader Adolph Hitler “a very great man.” In 2019, Hill skewered mainstream media outlets as “Zionist” organizations, a nod to the antisemitic conspiracy theory notion that Jews control the media. The progressive activist also pushed an unsubstantiated claim that Israel is “poisoning” Palestinian drinking water.
Following the panel, The Algemeiner was pulled aside by a pair of individuals connected to the event and grilled about the publication’s position on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and whether it supported “black solidarity with the Palestinian community.”

( The Haunting Presence by Giles Corey ; im giving a WARNING with this one the ending is. a lot. especially with the context of it [that being it's basically a recording of the song artist's attempted suicide] anything beyond the six minute mark be aware! it's very jarring and loud but this song immediately comes to mind when i think of s4 zam and. i think this says a lot about my perception of him. 👍 consider this my warning i love this album & song in particular but it is NOT for everyone )
( Hierophant by King Woman ; you'll notice both of these songs are LONG [both around 7 minutes if my memory is right] and that's something that just. it's the thing i associate with s4 zam. it's long and drawn out until it collapses. )

Let's Hear It for the Boy: Finn Wolfhard
from STATUS Magazine August 2017 feat. Finn Wolfhard and Noah Schnapp
by STATUS Magazine
Tumblr media Tumblr media
While some kids hide underneath their blankets once they discover the monsters underneath their beds, Finn Wolfhard didn't need a lot of growing up before he decided to face them himself. Sure, the underground creatures he takes on are a bit fictional, but the young actor is braving the real world with promise and precision.
It’s not that hard to be smitten with Finn Wolfhard.
Just like the characters that he portrays, he’s a charming young boy who views the world with eyes of wonder and excitement. At 14 years old, he’s already been in two huge thriller franchises that most kids his age wouldn’t even dare to watch. He first hit our frequencies last year starring in Stranger Things as the determined leader of the pack, Mike Wheeler. The series might’ve catapulted his career, but his love for the craft has been keeping him grounded. “The only thing that’s different now is that I get stopped on the street for pictures and have a lot followers on social media, but that never changed my personality or anything. I’m just happy to be an actor in general,” he adds. Making his way from Hawkins, Indiana to Derry, Maine, he’s also set to star in the upcoming movie adaptation of Stephen King’s horror classic It as the buck-toothed goon Richie “Trashmouth” Tozier. While both involve a plot where children mysteriously go missing, we’ve found ourselves a star in Finn Wolfhard. He’s definitely got the “It” factor, and there’s nothing strange about that.
Despite being a middle-schooler, Finn is wasting no time kidding around. Although it seems like he’s shaping up to be sci-fi’s It-boy, he’s been gradually showing different sides of himself. When he’s not busy slaying strange creatures and dancing clowns, Finn can be seen shredding his bass and guitar, and he’s got an impeccable taste to match the skill he’s been refining. His covers of Mac DeMarco and Nirvana have been circulating across the Internet, in addition to the buzz he’s been creating with his band Calpurnia–and it doesn’t stop there. He recently hosted and performed at Sweet Relief’s benefit concert called Strange ‘80s alongside Sarah Silverman, “Weird Al” Yankovic, Tenacious D, and Slipknot’s Corey Taylor. And now, he’s stepping behind the camera with his latest project, co-directing a crowdfunded music video for Spendtime Palace’s Western rock tune “Sonara” with former Viner Josh Ovalle. With It premiering this September and the second season of Stranger Things streaming this October on top of his personal ventures, Finn might’ve seemingly bitten off more than he can chew, but never underestimate a small kid with a big appetite.
: You recently dabbled into the world of filmmaking, co-directing a Westernthemed music video for Spendtime Palace with Josh Ovalle. Can you tell us some of the directors that inspire your vision as a director?
A: I think my favorite directors would be Spike Jonze and Edgar Wright. I like Spike Jonze because he’s so versatile in a way that he can make skateboarding videos but also win an Oscar for Best Screenplay. That really gives me faith that I can be an actor and still be a director. And Edgar Wright’s incredible because he just knows how to create something visually. He has perfect vision. Oh, also Sofia Coppola! That’s another director that I admire a lot.
Q: We’ve also been seeing a lot of your band Calpurnia online. Can we expect any music release from you guys soon?
A: Yeah, it all depends on my schedule, but I think we’ll be doing an EP that’ll be out in the next couple of months. Hopefully next year, we’ll do some shows. We want to do as many shows as we can ‘cause we love performing so much. We want to do shows in Vancouver and a tour maybe next summer.
Q: Going into your upcoming projects, you’ve been into a lot of scifi and supernatural stuff so far. Was this a conscious choice or a mere coincidence?
A: It’s a weird coincidence for sure. ‘Cause when I auditioned for Stranger Things, I was auditioning for everything. That was just the right thing for me to do at that time. Same thing with It, and I’m glad that they were. It’s just complete coincidence. Acting is my favorite thing to do, so whatever comes to me, I’d do it as long as the script is good.
Q: Both Stranger Things and It are set in the glorious decade of the ‘80s. How were you able to play a character from a time period you have no memory of?
A: The cool thing about playing a character in general is you have to add yourself to it, so I try to put as much of myself into every character that I play as possible. Like in Stranger Things, I read the lines like how I would say them in real life. I think the only thing that really has to do with the ‘80s is that it’s set in a different time. If you know enough about it, it’s easy enough to do.
Q: You got the chance to work with Sean Astin for this season. How was it like working with him?
A: He’s so amazing. He was open to anything. I asked him every question I had about The Goonies and The Lord of the Rings. He just gave me so much knowledge and told me to enjoy being a kid but at the same time, be comfortable with what you’re doing as well as the projects that I’m in.
Q: How different would this season of Stranger Things be from the first one?
A: The second season is just like the first season, but better. It has the same sense of wonder and adventure, but adding more horror and drama aspects to it. I even think it’s funnier than the first. It’s taking everything that the first season did and just improving it.
Q: Moving forward into your career, what kind of projects are you interested in doing next?
A: For acting, I’d love to do a comedy or a drama. I don’t want to do too many sci-fi and horror stuff ‘cause I would just get typecasted. Obviously, I enjoy doing Stranger Things, but the genre in general isn’t always my favorite. And I’d also want to continue directing anything that’s written by me. I don’t want to misquote Matt and Ross [Duffer], but they told me, “If you want to be a director, you have to write your own stuff.” And I really like that ‘cause you have full control of everything.
Q: Being a kid yourself, do you have any tips for other kids who want to follow the same path that you thread on?
A: I think anyone my age who’s into acting should go to open casting call websites like Craigslist and just find whatever they can find. If you want to do acting classes, that’s fine, but acting classes never worked for me. I’ve learned to access my emotions way more as I went along. But it depends. If you want to study it, that’s a different thing. I only advise that you go to school for it if you don’t know anything about acting. But if you already know enough about it, then I think that you should just do your own thing.

Love ya Bun! <333)
Sorry for how long it took to answer this!!! I’ve been busy too >w<
Tw for gore, because Corey DEFINITELY didn’t get away unscathed!!!
Cory’s story isn’t super complex, they mostly just wanted to provide for their family!
Corey was an adventurer for hire, in simplest terms. He would go and join other adventuring teams for short quests. They never really stuck with a single group for longer than one or two quests, always on the move, and only taking a fairly small cut of the reward as compensation. Corey’s mentality is that others have families they need to feed too, he doesn’t need as much for his small family than others may need for theirs. His family consists of his mother and his little sister. he loves them dearly. Corey knows the work they do is dangerous, but he genuinely enjoys what he does, and is the main breadwinner of his family.
When Corey was betrayed and left for dead in Dread Caverns, everyone thought they died. His mother and sister were distraught. They tried to murder him so they could have just that little bit more of the money. It was their greed that pushed them to commit murder. Obviously, they told the guild it was an accident in the cave that lead to his death.
Though nobody knew, Corey WAS still alive, technically. He tried for months to find a way to get out, but with his limited range of movement, it proved too difficult to climb out of the caves on his own. Though there was ONE good outcome from his being betrayed: now having no heartbeat, he was basically invisible to the beasts that roamed the cave system. The same beasts that feed off of the fear of their prey. The first person to find him came soon after they realized this. Some random adventurer, trying to collect minerals and resources from the cave in order to study it’s properties. Corey tried approaching this person to ask for help, but as soon as he stepped closer, they freaked out. Corey is, quite literally, walking death. He has his head smashed in, cuts all over him, his lip split in half, dried blood running down his face, and even the limping walk of a zombie. To be completely fair, seeing him come at you in a dark cave like that, I don’t really blame the guy for practically pissing his pants! It doesn’t really help that Corey is partially mute, only really able to get out short sentences at a time, so on top of it all, he was completely silent walking forward XD
The adventurer practically bolted out of the cave after that, and told the guild. Thus birthed the rumor of the “King of Fear”, believed to be behind the properties of Dread Caverns.
Many would come over the next few years, none of them willing to listen to reason. They tried to kill Corey. Out of self defense, Corey ended up killing them.
He would rack up quite the kill count before Brook came along. Corey hates what he’s had to do, and hates that he’s begun to kind of like it in a twisted weird way. They hate themself because of this. They feel evil. They think they’ve started going insane. Being isolated in the dark for years with only the occasional battle, it was akin to torture.
Brook, even while terrified out of her mind, was the first one to actually stop and listen to him. She helped him to escape and finally see the light of day after years underground.
Tumblr media
Here’s the boy!!!
To answer your last question, yeah I’m mostly working on schoolwork right now haha! But I’m also working on a new profile picture since the one I have currently was originally made for Halloween XD I’ll finish it soon and post it for you guys to see when it’s done!

THE 2022 AARONS - Worst Film
I could make a long, elaborate joke here about needlessly bad movies, but I’d rather get right to the category than Babylon. Here are The Aarons for Worst Film:
Tumblr media
#10. Texas Chainsaw Massacre
Tumblr media
A Final Girl spends decades preparing for a rematch with the masked killer who murdered all her friends? You’d be forgiven for thinking you saw this film before. Billed (once again) as the one-true sequel to the seminal 1974 horror film, 2022’s Texas Chainsaw Massacre (once again) butchers the franchise. Linking a lazy approximation of the ‘legacy-quel’ format popularized by 2018’s Halloween to generational trauma, gun culture, and gentrification, the film’s skin-deep themes are even more meaningless than the original’s nihilism. No amount of gore can mask the fact that this franchise has clearly run out of gas.
Tumblr media
#9. Firestarter
Tumblr media
With Stephen King setting movie-goers on fire in the wake of It, there was every reason to think returning to his other early works would yield similar results. The problem is that the 2022 adaptation of his 1980 novel doesn’t know where to start with updating the story to present day. Following a pyrokinetic girl and her father on the run from government forces, the movie makes no mention of modern expansions to the surveillance state, and its simplistic tale of gifted individuals feels helplessly quaint in a culture dominated by superhero cinema. The music, composed by the legendary John Carpenter, is admittedly straight fire, but the movie’s murky cinematography snuffs out any other remaining appeal.
Tumblr media
#8. Choose or Die
Tumblr media
Choose or Die has a clear survival instinct, opting to throw anything and everything at the screen to keep its thin premise alive. The only real winner in the film about a cursed 1980s video-game contest is horror icon Robert Englund, cashing in on his clout with a few minutes of voiceover work. Everyone else struggles to jump through the hoops of its inconsistent rule-set and inadequate budget (The on-the-fly filmmaking has all the visual-flair of the text-based adventures it’s inspired by). The prize for powering-through is the offer of a prospective franchise; Netflix browsers would be better off choosing any number of the streamer’s other options.
Tumblr media
#7. Halloween Ends
Tumblr media
Heavily promoted as the final confrontation between Michael Myers and Laurie Strode, the thirteenth Halloween ends not with a bang but with a wimp named Corey Cunningham oddly hogging the spotlight. Spending the majority of its runtime on a coming-of-age Romeo-and-Juliet romance, the film’s shake-up of franchise formula is a smug trick on the audience that never turns into a treat. Hypothesizing on why evil endures, Ends is undone by an inability to express its ideas intelligibly, and by robbing agency from its most important character. Despite its definitive title, the latest installment will almost certainly not be the last, but it does leave the franchise in bad shape yet again.
Tumblr media
#6. Margaux
Tumblr media
Margaux is a smart house; Margaux is a dumb film. To be fair, even a regular brick-and-mortar building would seem intelligent compared to the group of college students lured into the titular deathtrap. Not even self-aware jokes at their expense can turn the characters, played by a collection of CW stars, into tolerable company. The only other expense not spared by Margaux is the budget for its nauseating white goo, the sickly sustenance of a house-wide 3-D printer, that swamps every frame of the film. The oozing substance is reflective of Margaux’s unsound foundation: an utterly illogical series of events is what brings down the house.
Tumblr media
#5. Mr. Harrigan’s Phone
Tumblr media
It was always going to take an inspired touch to bring Mr. Harrigan’s Phone to life, and John Lee Hancock couldn’t answer the call. The Blind Side director delivers a dreadfully faithful adaptation of Steven King’s short story, a hodgepodge of the author’s familiar hang-ups including a decade-late technophobia around iPhone applications. The script does no service to stars Donald Sutherland and Jaeden Martell, both doing their best to sell an undying connection between a rich, cranky old man and the young boy who reads to him. In a clear-cut generational divide, King’s son undisputedly took the crown for phone-based horror last year; curious parties should just call up Joe Hill’s Black Phone instead.
Tumblr media
#4. Umma
Tumblr media
Umma isn’t the mother of all bad films but is highly-derivative of far better ones. The horror film manages to be only the third-best film from 2022 about an Asian-Immigrant mother overcoming generation trauma to become less overbearing to her daughter (The others being Aarons-Winner Everything Everywhere All at Once and Pixar’s Turning Red). This familiarity doesn’t stop at just one medium either: the mother’s self-induced electro-phobia also invites unfavorable comparisons to the TV show Better Call Saul. This all might be more forgivable if Umma wasn’t so neglectful of its jump scares, putting in only the minimal effort needed to raise the film up to feature length.
Tumblr media
#3. Grimcutty
Tumblr media
The Hulu-Original horror film starts off looking especially grim but is ultimately a cut above those worse fears: the meme-based movie is merely incompetent, rather than incompetent and ignorant. Writer/director John Ross is well-aware that the bygone Momo Challenge his concept is based on was a hoax but that seems to be the extent of his comprehension, especially when it comes to the basics of filmmaking. His laughable script and languid pacing spread thin the legend of the Grimcutty, a lopsided monstrosity that’s meme-material for all the wrong reasons. The film is successful in at least one regard: it will unquestionably convince viewers that cutting back on screen-time isn’t always a bad thing.
Tumblr media
#2. Morbius
Tumblr media
Yes, it’s Morbin’ time. The maladroit movie Morbius turns The Living Vampire into a lifeless vestigial entry in Sony’s speciously-named Spider-Man Universe. Despite decades of comic history to draw from and even more years of tragic movie monsters, the anti-hero’s origin offers viewers absolutely nothing to sink their teeth into. The dramatic tension is as hollow as the character’s bones, as the story constantly shies away from any moral complexities to receive a wide-appeal PG-13 rating (which didn’t stop the movie from bombing… twice). If there was any remaining doubt, the desperate post-credits scene makes it obvious: this is the work of vultures scavenging their IP for everything they can get.
Tumblr media
AND THE WORST FILM OF 2022 IS...
#1. After Ever Happy
Tumblr media
One after another, the adaptations of Anna Todd’s Wattpad novels have lowered the bar for romantic movies and romantic partners everywhere; the fourth film doesn’t break that cycle. Encompassing everything from arson to overdoses, After Ever Happy untethers the unceasing ups-and-downs of Tessa Young and Hardin Scott’s relationship from any semblance of structure. Starting with a sensible climax for the last entry and hanging up its hat without resolving any of its new plot threads, the franchise’s footage seems to now spill over from entry to entry with no rhyme or reason. As such, the fifth film is now mandatory viewing, if only because one can never be happy before confirming this story is over for good.

MVP’s super middleweight powerhouse Shadasia Green earns unanimous decision win over Natasha Spence in prelim headliner
TAMPA, FL – July 21, 2024 – In front of a sold-out crowd of 17,500 at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida, MVP’s Jake “El Gallo” Paul (10-1, 7 KOs) put on an electrifying show as he demolished the King of Violence, “Platinum” Mike Perry (5-0, 3 KOs BKFC, 0-2 boxing), with a sixth round TKO. Paul, who came out on a gladiator’s chariot, put on a clinic from the opening bell of the bout on MVP’s Fear No Man. In Paul’s longest bout in nearly a year, he showcased his rapid development and growth as a boxer on the path to becoming cruiserweight champion. Paul dominated the fight by flooring Perry three times before the referee halted the bout at 1:12 of Round 6. He showcased his signature power and controlled the fight from the start with a knockdown in the opening round and flashed a strong left jab throughout the fight. Perry managed to open a cut over Paul’s left eye in the third round, but by round four, Paul delivered several combinations that rocked Perry into the ropes, before the 6th round TKO. After the fight, Perry acknowledged Paul's speed and skill, while Paul credited Perry’s toughness and willingness to keep coming at him before turning his attention to his next fight against Mike Tyson on Friday, November 15th. Paul also called out MMA light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira for an upcoming bout.
MVP’s Fear No Man: Paul vs. Perry, presented by CELSIUS Live Fit Essential Energy, was produced and marketed by MVP with Boxlab Promotions serving as the official licensed promoter and was distributed by DAZN pay-per–view. CELSIUS Live Fit Essential Energy, maker of lifestyle energy drink, is the exclusive energy drink sponsor of MVP.
Boxing trailblazer and unified featherweight champion Amanda “The Real Deal” Serrano (47-2-1, 31 KOs) showed the world her power at super lightweight and overwhelmed Tampa’s own Stevie “Sledgehammer” Morgan (14-2, 13 KOs) with a flurry of non-stop punches, earning her 31st stoppage victory of her career just 38 seconds in the second round. Following the fight, Amanda noted that female fighters are mistaking her kindness for weakness, and said that if fighters weren’t on her level, she would show them exactly who she was. In a final message for Katie Taylor ahead of the pair’s most highly anticipated women’s boxing rematch in modern history on Friday, November 15, Serrano warned, “We’re going to show that women can fight, put on a show, and sell. But this time, [the result of our fight] is going to be a lot different.”
In a spectacular upset, top-ranked IBF and WBA Lucas “Prince” Bahdi (17-0, 15 KOs) delivered a devastating KO over MVP’s H2O Sylve (11-1, 9 KOs) in a lightweight battle of two of boxing’s top contenders. Sylve owned the scores in the early rounds, dominating from the start, but in the 6th round, Bahdi shocked the world with two stunning two right crosses followed by a huge left hook that dropped H2O to the mat in a KO of the year contender. Following the bout, Bahdi thanked MVP and DAZN for the opportunity to compete on such a massive stage. As a precaution, H20 was taken to a local hospital and cleared by doctors.
After an exciting split draw on MVP’s Most Valuable Prospects 5, Tony Aguilar (12-1-1, 4 KOs) and Corey “2SMoove” Marksman (10-0-1, 7 KOs) brought the energy in their pay-per-view debuts in a 8-round lightweight bout to settle the rivalry between the two. Crescent City, FL’s Aguilar was aggressive from the opening bell and brought the crowd to its feet as he delivered a relentless barrage against Marksman. The pair traded blows throughout eight rounds, with Marksman raising the intensity as the fight went on. The decision went to the cards and Orlando’s Marksman took home the majority decision victory over Aguilar (76-76, 77-75, 78-74). After the bout, Marksman shared an emotional moment about his long-awaited victory and that he hopes to see his professional career skyrocket from here.
Mexican cruiserweight and former WBC world champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (54-6-1, 34 KOs) took on MMA star Uriah Hall (1-1 Boxing, 18-11, 14 KOs UFC) over 6 rounds at cruiserweight in the pay-per-view main card opener. Chavez Jr, son of former three-division world boxing champion Julio César Chávez, “El Gran Campeón Mexicano,” kept the pressure on Hall the entire fight, despite several power-packed combos from Hall. The bout resulted in a unanimous decision (59-55 x2, 58-56) victory in favor of Chavez Jr. After the bout, in-ring reporter and famed combat sports journalist Ariel Helwani asked Chavez Jr. if he would look to take on Jake Paul next, which Chavez Jr. accepted.
In the preliminary card headliner, MVP’s super middleweight powerhouse Shadasia “The Sweet Terminator” Green (14-1, 11 KOs) made her first appearance of 2024 as she returned to the ring to prove her path back to title contender. The Paterson, NJ native faced Cambridge, Ontario, Canada’s Natasha “Nightmare” Spence (8-5-2, 6 KOs) across a tense 8 rounds before the decision went to the cards, earning Green an impressive unanimous decision win (78-73, 77-74 x2). Following the bout, Green spoke in-ring about coming back from a loss on her record to emerge victorious again, and thanked her team, family, and MVP for standing behind her throughout her journey.
Stunning the crowd with a vicious combo, Amanda Serrano’s signee Alexis “Chop Chop” Chaparro (2-0, 2 KOs) scored a sensational second round knockout over Kevin Hill (1-2, 1 KO). In a hard fought back and forth six-round battle, 21-year-old Angel Barrientes (12-1, 7 KOs) defeated Edwin Rodriguez (12-9-2, 5 KOs) by majority decision (57-57, 60-54 x2). In the opening fight of the evening, Tampa’s own Ariel “Golden Hulk” Perez (4-0, 3 KOs) wowed the crowd with a third round knockout over Dane Guerrero (0-1-1).
