Could we have more on the Corrupted Jimmy AU please

I haven't thought about that AU in a while haha

But sure:

Scott had been pining after Jimmy for quite a while before getting possessed. But he's an emotionally constipated bastard who was taught by his parents not to show any emotion whatsoever, any time, ever. Things like love and friendship were petty, and should always take a backseat to the wellbeing of Rivendell.

He was raised not to have friends, but to have allies, and heavily internalized that.

In the beginning of the story, he's very distant from the other rulers. He's cordial enough with them, but he hasn't forged any close friendships the way everyone else has. He's kind of known as that weird loner that hangs out in the back of the ballroom during gatherings and doesn't talk to anyone.

Jimmy was the first person to ever try to actually get to know him beyond just the basics of their alliance.

Scott, at first, is polite to him, but slowly starts to warm up to him. This blossoms into them being... not quite friends, but acquaintances, which is better than any other relationship in his life.

But Scott catches himself actually looking forward to going to a gathering, and getting to see Jimmy, and gets scared. He's afraid of getting attached due to how his parents raised him, and so decides he'd cut all contact with Jimmy beyond whatever was absolutely necessary.

Obviously, Jimmy is stung by the change. He tries to keep talking to Scott, since Scott was the only one whose interactions with Jimmy weren't tainted by the reputation of his sister. But Scott keeps pushing him away, despite how guilty he feels about it.

However, try as he might, absence makes the heart grow fonder, and Scott finds that more and more of his mind is being consumed by the thought of Jimmy. Which in turn causes him to berate himself more, be even harsher to Jimmy in hopes that will scare him away for good and maybe then give him some peace of mind, and all in all, it's a vicious cycle.

And then... Xornoth comes. His brother. The antlers. His Destiny. And Jimmy is ensnared by the false promises the demon whispers into his ears.

Now Scott has to come to terms with the feelings he's been repressing for so long, and finally finds he can't do everything on his own. For the first time, he has to actually ask the other emperors for help, and in the process, forge closer bonds with all of them.

On top of all of that, he has to free Jimmy from the demon's manipulation so that he can apologize for how horribly he mistreated him. Then the two of them can part ways, and Jimmy will never have to see him again. Because surely, after everything, Jimmy will want nothing to do with him.

Coral Kindness

So I was thinking about the coral in the Coral IslesTM being a manifestation of the Corruption so have some fucked up Corrupted Martyn

Cw for altered mental states, implied brainwashing, heavily implied manipulation, codependency, some weird semi-romantic undertones(??), hivemind and some light violence

Martyn doesn't think he regrets coming back.

Sure, the spines and the coral are...tight around his body, and the bits that stick deep into his skin are agitated by certain movements, but it's not...unpleasant. It's actually kind of nice.

Maybe a little too nice, really, but nearly stepping on the coral circling and wrapping around the island is a small price to pay for peace. Because this is peace unlike anything Martyn has ever known.

It dulls the urges of being Red, pushes back the stress and aches of the Death Game and he and Scott are embraced by something that loves them both. Their connection is not the one from last season. It is not a connection of pain and a connection of death. It is a connection of emotions, of speaking without words and of embracing without touching.

Speaking of Scott, he feels him down under the ocean floor, idly building and planning and storing and Martyn wants to be close to him again.

 He settles, for now, for the coral at his back. As he sinks to the ground, it connects and it feels like everything he could ever want, not the cold devotion of Red Winter, not the doomed walls of the Southlands, not the rejection of a person who couldn't stand the sight of him. Because he has the coral now, and he has Scott. And it sings sweet in his ears.

And then he's interrupted.

He cracks open his eyes with a scowl, looking up at Joel, who has an axe slung over his shoulder. "Having a nice nap?" he asks, raising an eyebrow. "Looking awful defenseless there."

"Be quiet, Joel," Martyn groans back, shifting against the coral as if in bed. "I'm trying to listen."

 "Listen?" Jimmy's come up behind Joel and Martyn feels a jolt of pain from Scott's end of the connection. "What could you be listening to? The waves?"

"The coral." He stands slowly, the coral rising with him and wrapping around him tighter. Covering his eyes. He doesn't need them with the love and the sensation feeding into him.

 Joel and Jimmy won't join them, the coral whispers. They don't want to join them. They want to continue to suffer at arms-length with each other and their meaningless connections. They abandon people at a whim. They abandoned me, Scott thinks sorrowfully, and Martyn's grip on his sword tightens.

 "Gonna give you thirty seconds to run," Martyn says, breathing in the love and the power that the coral granted him.

They are intruders and Martyn's duty is to defend from intruders. Scott wordlessly wonders if he needs help, but Martyn placates him. He can handle this himself.

Jimmy snorts. "Uh-huh. Thirty seconds, huh? Wonder where you got that from."

"Start running."

 Martyn slashes at Joel without warning, who yelps.

 "I thought we had thirty seconds!" Jimmy cries.

"Start running."

"Yeah, we're not--" Martyn slashes Joel quickly and sharply. "--YEOWCH okay, WE'RE GOING! JEEZ!"

As they swim back to shore, the coral doesn't recede. But Martyn doesn't mind. Instead, he dives below to find Scott. He needs something right now that the coral just can't provide, no matter how much it tries.

He is a ghost, has never met a ghost despite half his town being ghosts possessing mannequins.

They think he's just keeping them safe by telling everyone they're human, no he's just freaked out by old ghost stories and doesn't want people to be scared of him.

Has no clue how ghost work, and unintentionally became an extremely powerful ghost, simply because he is nice and helped souls reach the afterlife.

He has no fucking clue his magic is helping other ghosts find peace by sheer virtue of existing, also he is simply really overly nice, and everyone likes him, but he's mostly a morale booster for the town more then anything, since his help is a 50/50 if it's gonna go well, but he's so positive that it almost doesn't matter. :D

Mycelium Has A Song

Summary: Jimmy wasn’t sure what to make of all of this, though he wasn’t part of the HEP in helping things, he did know a few things about plants. Scott owned a flower farm, and made dyes, and Tango owned a ranch that he helped in. Taking over when Tango wasn’t there to do things. His brother now was connected to a plant like substance know as Mycelium. And his talk with his brother lead no where, yet questions still burned in him. 

Notes: This is based upon @all54321 Father Spore Spy AU idea. And this isn’t apart of it, just me making a scene I wanted to share. 

Warnings: Cult-like themes, Mild Mind Control, Mild Corruption, Mild Body Horror.

Jimmy would say he’s got alot of regrets in life, most people do. He wasn’t always a good person, not until he meet Scott and Tango. He became a better person for them, and learned to live life to be happy and grateful for each morning. It wasn’t easy, but he was working on it. 

He had a loving family, amazing friends, and things were looking up slowly. He spoke to Grian often through voice chats when they could and they played games. He spoke to Pearl the same ways, enjoying how close they were again. He had missed his siblings dearly, and was happy it seemed they were stronger together again. 

Then he got the call from Pearl, and dread filled him as she told him the situation. His older brother was infected by this Mycelium threat stuff. And had been found out to be a traitor working for Father Spore, which Pearl said was actually Scar. Grian was infected, and Jimmy felt worry over take the dread.

They all packed quickly, Scott was ready to jump and go as much as he was. Tango was there too, and they needed to get their now. His brother was gone, missing, and his sister was still there. He didn’t really care if it was dangerous, he left his family once, he won’t do it again. Not when they needed him. 

Pearl scolded him alot for coming out here, but Jimmy still was happy to see her again. Scott was taking care of their luggage and told him to go be with his sister. They needed each other right now, and Jimmy needed to know what was going on with Grian. Was he okay? Was he safe? What was wrong with him? Pearl could only give so many answers, as she wasn’t too sure either of everything. 

Then came the meeting with Grian and Scar, which lead to no where. Though he had let Pearl do most of the talking. He just watched staring at the creature that was now his brother. The deep purplish hue to the parrot wings of his, and the mushrooms that grew on them. 

He didn’t believe there was anything wrong with him, and spoke of how he wanted them to join with him. How he missed them, and he could be connected this way. Pearl was against it, and Jimmy stayed silent through it. Both of them were trying to convince the other was something, and neither were listening. Pearl and Grian were always the two stubborn ones, Jimmy guessed he could be as well. 

But watching Grian leave, with only a sad glance to them, hurt him more than he thought it would. And while he got a good look of what the Mycelium does to someone, he still felt he was back to square one. More questions than answers, and it was frustrating.

Pearl was firm in the idea that they could cure Grian, even if Grian didn’t want to be cured. Jimmy wasn’t sure what to believe himself, Grian hadn’t looked hurt or in pain, he looked rather happy if a bit... plant-y now? He felt like Pearl was very much telling her own bias of things. With thoughts of pushing herself now to cure and save their little brother. Though Cub seemed to disagree from when Jimmy got to talk to him. Expressing that curing int he past has only harmed people more than helped.

The pit of dread was back, would Pearl push so far to harm Grian if it meant to save him? What if it didn’t work? Cub spoke of how death could be a very possible variable in curing those that didn’t want to be cured. And that made Jimmy’s throat close up in fear. 

He didn’t want to think that for long, taking some time to get fresh air outside. To try and hide from his intrusive thoughts. Scott and Tango did their best to alleviate his fears, but they didn’t understand how scared he was. He only had Pearl and Grian left. They knew about as much as he did on this situation, and Tango refused to share too much as they didn’t want to cause mass panic. 

Maybe that’s how he always found himself back here. At the edges of the police tap looking into the infected area and to the forest. It was silent here, though the birds made noise the sound of people was none existence. Just the wind in the trees. Grian was somewhere in there, possibly much deeper in than before. People believed the resistance base was deeper inside, but going on foot was a bad idea as it alerted Father Spore to them being in there.

It alerted Scar of your location, due to how connected the Mycelium was. Which was both impressive and creepy to Jimmy. 

He narrowed his eyes lightly, he wasn’t getting anywhere standing here. And he had a choice to make now. He could go deeper in, and get the answer himself. Or he could trust Pearl knows what she’s doing, and hope Grian came around. Jimmy was a doer not a follower, and he knew what his answer was long before he thought of the choices he has.

Opening his wings he caught the wind and allowed his sunny yellow wings to carry him over top of the trees. Staying at a high enough look point that allowed his eyes to see everything. Flying over to see how the Mycelium seemed to cover over everything like a blanket of greens and purples. 

It seemed to act as a shader of sorts, making flying out harder than going in. It possibly allowed heavy shade and keeping the floor damp, which was something mushrooms liked to grow in. 

His feathers curved to the wind, stumbling a bit as something pushed form under him. A air current from below, which startled him for a moment. Like the forest below was producing an updraft of air. Jimmy carefully lowered himself so not to have that happen again, and decided to perch on top of a rather tall tree. Looking over everything from the branch. He could see the faint movement int he air of spores. Luckily he was high enough he couldn’t breath enough in, but the area had a heavy earthy scent to it. 

For the most part everything looked the same for miles, figures Grian would think to have their base hidden from avian eyes. Jimmy frowned a bit at that, gazing around the pines, leaves, and many colors ahead. His ears twitched trying to pick up on any difference at all. Opening his wings again and taking flight. 

Nothing seemed to change, and Jimmy was starting to think of heading home before anyone noticed he was missing. However it seemed the wind had other plants. Another rush of air from under him had him losing his balance. It pushed up on his wings, and Jimmy was now trying to right himself. His wings however felt stiff, the air making it hard to close the joints. 

He cried out a bit though as he soon was falling, trying to unlock his joint as he fell down. Jimmy twisted in the air, letting out distressed sounds. Normally to the flock, when flying, an avian will let out sounds to let them know something was wrong. When this happened another avian would have to create wind under the falling one so they could right their wings against the strong winds.

But Jimmy was alone, and he was falling fast. Hitting tress wasn’t fun, Jimmy had done it once before, near broke his wings, and he knew that like this he’d hit back first. He closed his eyes tightly and waited for the searing pain. 

Something did slam into him, knocking the breath from him, but... there wasn’t pain with it. As something dug into his sides from where he was gripped by... arms? “You’re such an idiot you know that.” a familiar voice grumbled as Jimmy opened his eyes and looked up to see familiar parrot wings that had slight purple hues to them. 

“Grian!” Jimmy breathed out as relief ran over him at the sight of his siblings, swallowing down the chirps that wanted to come out. They glided over the tree tops easily as Grian was lowering them down easily and dodging the branches easily. 

They were near a river bank of sorts as Grian lowered him down to the ground and landed himself. Bending down and looking at Jimmy’s wings, “So they locked up on you?” he asked as Jimmy nodded trying to rub the joints to help them.

“I was flying over head and a draft hit the locking them in place.” he admits, “The wind knocked me off balance after that.” Jimmy winced a bit as carefully he pushed his wings to fold again. 

A grumbling huff, “It’s dangerous to fly here Tim, if you’re not used to the Mycelium creating it’s own air.” he scolded in a big brother tone, as Jimmy grumbled out something but Grian possibly couldn’t make it out. Sighing heavily though, “I heard your calls nearby, you’re lucky this time. You could have serious injured yourself, and all for what?” he asked his brother with a stern look. “Did one of the HEP members sent you to fly over head?”

taking a moment to try and rub out the soreness in his back, Jimmy shook his head, “I was actually looking for you.” he tells his brother as he sat across from him, “I wanted to talk to you, without Pearl or anyone nearby. Just us.”

A pause from Grian as his brother stared at him for a long moment, then hums with his arms crossed, “You could have just came in by foot to ask for that Timmy, instead of risking flight in an unfamiliar area.” he deadpanned and rose an eyebrow.

Jimmy flushed at that looking away as his feathered ears flicked down. Okay yeah maybe he could have done that, “Wasn’t sure it’d work.” he admits rubbing his arm, “Not after last time with Pearl, I figured you’d...” he trailed off, that Grian would hate him, them, for of the last talk. His ears stayed lowered at these thoughts. 

“Well... I’m here now, what is it?” Grian asked after he stared at Jimmy for a long time. “I’m all ears, and it’s just us.” a familiar smile, when he was forgiving them for doing something dumb. 

Jimmy’s ears perked up again as he felt some tension in his shoulders fade. “I wanted to check on you Grian, wanted to be sure you were okay.” wringing his hands together he shifts, “I... I’ve been so worried for you, the talk a few days ago didn’t do anything for my nerves and with everything going on... I’m afraid of well...” he as never good with feelings, Scott always said he needed to learn to allow himself to be vulnerable. 

Gazing up at Grian he saw the eyes soften as he sat down in the greenish purple grass. Near the edges of the river it wasn’t as thick as it was in the forest itself. “I’m fine Tim, more than just fine. I promise you, I’m doing okay. No injuries or anything of the sorts.” he said in the familiar tone of what made you think I could ever be hurt?

A lapse of silence again as Jimmy as messing with the blades of grass, “I can hear that Grian... you say that but, from everything I’ve been told by the others. I don’t know how I can believe it.” he stressed the word hard, he could see Grian was infected, could see the mushrooms on his skin and the purple in his veins, the way Grian didn’t breath hardly.

Humming in understanding, Grian just nodded to him, “I understand completely, you’ve been told we are infected, we aren’t ourselves. That I’m not your brother, I’m something that has controlled your brother.” at those words Jimmy found himself nodding in agreement, that was about what he was told. Grian’s eyes gazed at him calmly, “But do you believe that?” he asked.

“I...” Jimmy trailed off, gazing at the familiar eyes of his older brother, and sighed deeply as his shoulders and wings sagged, “I don’t know what to believe Gri.” he admits to him, eyes looking away and lost in thought. “Pearl is convinced of a cure, but Cub... well from what he tells me that could kill you.” his voice hitched at the word, the fear near closing up his throat again. 

He could feel the weight of Grian’s gaze on him, and he continued, “I don’t know what to think. You seem happy, you seem okay, even if you look different. And you don’t want to be cured or be a lab rat, not that I blame you on that last part,” he grumbled that ending almost to himself. “But, I... I just don’t know Gri, you talk about connection and acceptance, but I just can’t-” he cut himself off with a distressed chirp that slipped out. 

In return Grian cooed to him which did take away from of the tensions in him. “Are you curious about it?” he asked Jimmy with a head tilt, “About what we are and what I was talking about?”

Jimmy nodded to that instantly, “I am, I wanted to talk to you about that, wanted to hear it from you directly without someone else there to cut you off or say other things. I want to know what you’re talking about.” and that was the truth, he wanted to know what was going on in his brother’s head.

Grian smiled brightly, looking so relieved and happy that Jimmy wanted to know. The smiled looked weird on his face, if only slightly to Jimmy. “We are connected Timmy, what that means if we think and feel together. We are all together as the mycelium, closer than possibly as a human can go.” he said these words in a near whisper, as Jimmy stared.

“We are like a family in a sense, though I suppose there is a deeper meaning to what we could be called. It’s the closest word Scar and I can find.” Grian shrugged passively, the smile still on his face. “It’s something we want to share with everyone, to allow everyone to connect like this. To feel closer than close to someone. People are happier like this, they sing softly sometimes, as hear they are never alone or unsure.”

Jimmy continued to stare for the longest time, then gave a raised eye brow, “Sounds very cult like Grian, not gonna lie.” he said, though his tone was light and humorous. Grian did burst out laughing all the same, the seriousness fading with both their chuckles and laughter. 

Taking a breath, Grian smiled, “Suppose it does in some ways, but it is a wonderful experience all the same. I was unsure at first, but, when Scar showed me, connected me, I wasn’t anymore.” his eyes held a fond look to them, remembering something Jimmy wasn't sure off. 

“It’s something I want to share with you, with Pearl, with everyone. To get them all to join us, to feel this bliss and happiness. Scar is the Father of Spores, he connects us all Tim, and I promise, it’s amazing.” Grian’s tone was almost pleading for Jimmy to understand.

The words sank in the air around them, Jimmy listened to how Grian spoke of this. With reverence and wanting him to understand it. “and you want me to experience this?” he asked finally, “to join with you in this... Mycelium?” 

Nodding to him, Grian reached out but didn’t touch his skin, placing his hand near the grass, as it turned purple under his hand. Jimmy looked back up into his brother’s eyes, “Tim, I want you and Pearl with me, on this side. Helping me and Scar, not against us.” there was a whining sound in his throat, “I hate we are enemies this way, I don’t want that.”

Gripping his own hand, Jimmy rubbed his thumb on his palm, he did this when he was thinking. He was gazing at the ground, thinking over Grian words. Grian continued talking, “You can bring Scott and Tango in too, I’ll help you, so will Scar.” he promised his brother, “Please Tim, join with us.” 

Biting his lower lip, Jimmy thought this over in his head. Pearl would kill him if she knew he was out here talking with Grian. He didn’t know how Scott and tango would take it. He had a choice to make, he knew Grian would let him go if he said no, even if it hurt his feelings. He wanted him to chose, wanted him to be willing. Grian still cared about him, never forcing them, he didn’t seem as mindless as people said. A creature wouldn’t care how he felt, wouldn’t give him a choice, would it..?

Narrowing his eyes slightly, he met Grian’s eyes, pleading, hoping, but there was also worry there. 

“Okay.” Jimmy said in a croaked tone, watching as his brother’s eyes widen a bit. He nodded a few times to himself, “Okay, I’ll... I’ll join you.” his tongue felt heavy, his body near shivered at the words. 

He was still scared, but... he made his choice. 

Grian’s face split into a wide and happy smile as he jumped forward and hugged Jimmy tightly. His wings wrapping around his brother. Some happy chirps were let go, as Jimmy grunted when Grian hugged him. Then he wrapped his arms back around him, careful not to touch or push against the shrooms on the shoulders. He let out chirps back as he was held tightly. If Grian was shaking, Jimmy didn’t say anything about it. 

Pulling back grinning at Jimmy widely, Grian helped him to his feet. “Come on, Scar is nearby, he’ll help you connect faster than I could.” holding his hand and leading him to the forest. 

It was as dense as Jimmy thought, sunlight barely filtered through. “We don’t particularly like sunlight, it’s uncomfortable to be in direct light.” Grian explained as they walked past glowing shrooms on the ground and over the purple ground. Jimmy letting Grian lead him along these twisting paths. The air was earthy in scent, but it wasn’t bad. 

They did come to a small opening area where Scar was, sitting on a stump like area. Honestly man looked like a fae from stories Jimmy had read. Grinning at them as he got up, “Jimmy.” he said back cheerfully, “I’m glad you’ve chosen to do this, you won’t regret it.”  Jimmy nodded faintly to that, not wanting to say much, for fear of chickening out now. 

Placing a hand on his shoulder, Jimmy shifted a bit looking a little scared. Scar gave a calming smile, “It won’t hurt a bit, just breath is all you have to do.” arms pulled him closer and hugged him close. The spore cloud of green around Scar was thick, and Jimmy took a slow breath.  It was... sweet smelling, earthy undertones, it makes Jimmy feel light headed. He’s held upright by Scar and Grian behind him. His mind feel slow, thoughts are hard to come by. But, the fear fades with it, he feels tired.

“Rest Tim, It’ll be okay when you wake up.” Grian tells his brother, as Jimmy hums slightly to that. 

Everything went black after that. 

There was humming, faint humming.

Singing even.

It was soft, gentle, and a choir of people singing in unison. 

Jimmy found himself singing along with them, feeling the tune in him, apart of him.

He felt... everything, it was overwhelming, maybe he was crying, but he sang ever so softly with it.

It was wonderful, amazing, and warm. Everything Grian told him, something Jimmy didn’t know he was missing until now.

Hello everyone. Today i bring you the Space Mining au masterpost ... this is somehting i planned on doing for a while now, as space mining started becoming more and more fleshed out and my answers to your questions started getting more convoluted. Answered one question created 5 more kind of thing. So here is a timeline i made and a lot of links to different asks explaining even different-er things. Its a lot of loredumping but i tried to make it as clear as possible. Normally its the kind of thing youd learn by reading the story but im not planning on making a comic and i will never write a fic so this is how it has to work. average bartek story treatment

Despite humanity spreading all over the universe in post-space colonisation era, the only other life form ever found was a fungi-like, small organism living in giant colonies, which by their appearance resemble earth minerals. it can be found deep below the surface of different, seemingly unrelated moons and planets, desperately hiding from all forms of light; most of it is long dead, found in its rock-like form. commonly known as sculk, it is the newest and most important discovery in recent human history, although very little is actually known about it. Tango is a former HASA engineer, one of the people who revolutionized space mining, renowned for his work on the nature of sculk, and currently a wanted terrorist on the run, after he blew up a chunk of callisto, one of Jupiters moons, durning an illegal sculk mining operation. Completly unfit for the criminal lifestyle, its a miracle he hasnt been caught yet, especially with many bounty hunters and criminals alike on his tail

I tried to include the absolute most important parts. Doesnt look very well but i hope its at least readable

* Everything starts when Tango blows up a part of callisto. He worked there on a practically illegal sculk mining site; everything was meant to be kept secret, obviously, so when it turned out that the sculk is actually alive, parasitic and infecting everyone at a rapid pace, there was little help they could get. The outbreak was catastrophic but with HASA being a govermnent organisation that set up an illegal mining site not only outside of their controled area, but also in the solar system (which was and still is considered something like a buffer state... in space. At the time of the story lots of people from different places live there because its considered peaceful enough) there is no way they would get involved. So the few remaining survivors chose to blow up the mining site to save themselves. It both did and didnt work as intented, destroying a chunk of the moon and succesfully sealing the cave system, but also killing the remaining miners, with Tango being the sole survivor. Despite being a great asset to the company (he is, despite it all, considered the father of modern space mining), everything that happened was swifly pinned on him, with HASA claiming everything happened behind their back. Tango became a wanted terrorist in one day. An important note about the worldbuilding is that everything is corrupted and not good

I caved and made the brothers villains too. i’m thinking they’re corrupt tv show hosts! various things they get up to includes kidnapping animals and making road side zoos and circuses. together, they have show personas that tell the world that they’re doing this for the animals, that they’re teaching the world, but in reality, they’re exploiting animals. So their main crimes include animal neglect, animal cruelty, use of endangered animals, etc. It’s just show biz to them.

Basically my entire Roleswap AU utilizes what makes that character special, and essentially just saying, what if the situation was different? What if they used these skill sets for something else? Thus, you’ve got Villain Kratt Brothers who know stuff about animals, but refuse to take knowledge from others or learn more about animals outside of what benefits them. Theyre exploiting animals for their own gain. Aviva is like canon Zach, bitter and her hubris is her downfall, using her chemistry knowledge for animal testing, creating mind altering substances to control animals to do her bidding. Koki has a robotics company, and uses Aviva’s skills and her own abilities to make animal related technology, so she’s a lot like canon Zach too. Jimmy acts as a servant, like Dabio, he’s just a helping hand, who’s also bitter and terrified of the world around him.

you ever have an AU idea in the shower and come up with a fic summary in your head for a fic you’ll probably never write?

anyway, fic working title “go fish”: in one universe, xornoth sees a very corruptible king with a dysfunctional support network, and chooses his side as the one where he possesses sausage. in this universe, however, he sticks around a little longer before deciding on his pawns, and sees the equally corruptible other side of the conflict, sees his brother apparently has a Thing for said very corruptible other side, and goes. yeah, sure. the codlands seem like equally decent a place to launch an invasion from. what could possibly go wrong?

in hindsight, this was a bad move, but by the time xornoth realizes this, everything has gotten far, far stupider than anyone is prepared to deal with. oh dear. oh deer. oh cod.

that’s right, it would be a corrupted jimmy comedy. presuming I still know how to write long form comedy. featuring an unwilling and unsuspecting xornoth redemption via him accidentally getting attached to the codvengers. do I have time to write this? probably not. do I remember how to write the empires cast well enough for this? hell if I know. is it another idea for my back burner pile of ideas? hell yeah, plus anyone who wants can take this idea (hell I know jimnoth was a thing people wrote sometimes, something similar probably already exists). do I keep conceiving of aus where jimmy is imminently possessable? yes, I don’t know why,

So, if they are in love in the corrupted Jimmy au, how do they get together?

It's a slow process, and it takes them a while to get there. It wouldn't really work in the plot of the main story, since they're both still recovering from seriously traumatizing events in their lives, but they stick with one another.

More than anything, they're there for each other. They're the first person either one thinks to seek out when they have a nightmare about Xornoth. It's a slowburn to end all slowburns, since neither of them are in a good place to have a romantic relationship when the main story ends, but rest assured, they're both madly in love long before they actually get together.

The confession comes from Scott after a particularly bad day. He had a ptsd attack, his sleep was plagued by nightmares, and the little things just kept adding up.

But he comes to Jimmy's door in the middle of the night, seeking comfort. Of course, Jimmy provides it, Scott would do the same for him after all. And in the quiet, surrounded by the dark with only a single candle for light, it just slips out.

Scott confesses everything. He says that he's been in love with Jimmy for a long time but never wanted to say anything, because he knew Jimmy felt guilty about what happened with Xornoth. He was afraid that Jimmy would feel pressured to say yes, to make up for everything he did while possessed.

He said that he doesn't know if he's ready for a relationship right now, but Aeor, he wants it. He wants it so badly.

And Jimmy... well, something in Jimmy crumbles. Truth be told, he's been holding his own feelings back just because of his guilt. And hearing all of that...

The next morning, the two of them make plans for a date.

Hello! I would be more than happy to tell you more! What I have right now is very barebones since I have not had time to really sit and think about it because of school. There will be more in the future, and things may change! I'm going to put a read more because this is more than I thought it would be. There will be doodles and sketches down there as well!

So far: I have Ingo in the place of the Woodsman, constantly searching for Elden Wood to grind into oil to fill his lantern, the lantern that holds his brother's soul; however, unlike the show, it is technically Emmet's soul, but I will explain that more when I get to his part. Having been at this for a while, Ingo is slowly but surely losing energy, and his partner, Chandelure, is doing all she can to keep him alive, as she cannot materialize herself in the Unkown. So Ingo looks a little worse for wear, and Chandelure's features show through on Ingo more and more as time passes, to where eventually half of his body cannot materialize correctly and shows as smoke.

Emmet, on the flip side, is the Beast in this story, having been corrupted by some entity and now feeding on lost souls. He still keeps his tattered coat, but most of his body doesn't materialize anymore and becomes black smoke. The deer skull was more for flavor and to match a little more with the beast design, but I'll think of the meaning later. As far as the lantern goes, it differs from the show in the sense that it is carrying who Ingo believes it is, his brother; however, it carries Emmet's uncorrupted soul, and the entity does not want that getting released, so it chooses to gaslight Emmet, and then Ingo through Emmet, to keep the lantern lit and locked up so the entity remains in control.

As for Akari and Rei, I am replacing Wirt and Greg with Rei being Wirt and Akari being Greg, mostly because I think it's funny. However, their stories do not significantly differ between the show and the story. They fell into one of the frozen lakes in the Alabaster Icelands when attending a Pearl Clan festival, and the story continues in the same way as the show. Greg's frog is replaced with a Crogunk, much like how Beatrice is a Starly.

Gemcyt, but I made Jimmy into a corrupted gem just because I could.

Decided to design the corruption off of 2 particular things. The Canary curse, and the fae from empires season 2 (the plants, not the actual creatures). Ended up making him look extra sad, maybe too sad, but I'm a jimmy angst lover so I really don't care. You can decide if his eyes are open or not.

Some side notes that I randomly came up with.

His feathers fluff up when distressed as seen in the bottom part of the image.

If he sits still long enough, lil glowing blue mushrooms pop up and out the ground. They wither away a few minutes after he moves.

Water wings are mostly used to hide himself to very little success, but he can still fly.

Sits and runs about like a chicken.

Don't insult him, that just makes him sadder and a bit angry.

His oil like tears shimmer like a starlight speckled void.

He just wants a hug, but he doesn't think he deserve one and gets snappy at others for giving him affection he thinks he hasnt earned.

Anyways, that's all I've got on this! I don't know if anyone will ever draw him, but if you want to, feel free to make changes to colours or design elements!

Au belongs to @chrisrin I just wanted to make Jimmy suffer because his angst is delicious.

I will now go hide in a corner to wait and see what happens with this.

the thing you need to understand about Xisuma is that he never meant to start anything of any scale. he made a server for some friends like a decade ago. he didn't know that half of those friends were already gods and the other half would ascend to godhood before long. he has no interest in godhood himself, but like, he kept playing with them, because they're still his friends, y'know?

there's isn't some sort of godhood requirement he enforces. in fact, he intentionally tries to get mostly mortal members, and yet they always end up turning into gods. Jevin, Mumbo, Tango, and Cleo joined in season 2 as mortals, and somehow have STILL all ended up as gods by season 8. Doc and Etho were immortal when they joined in S3, but Impulse was SUPPOSED to be a normal guy! Scar and Cub joined together in S4 and got jealous of the other gods and were somehow immortal by the end of S5. Zed joined as a mortal in S5 but became the new grim reaper in S6. Gem and Pearl were both supposedly normal when they joined in S8 but became gods in S9. there's some people outside the server but close to existing hermits (Jimmy and Martyn, for instance) who literally use "being invited to hermitcraft" as a euphemism for ascending to godhood because any mortals who join dont stay that way for long.

admining a server for 26 gods (give-or-take) is exhausting work, but luckily Tango, Impulse, Doc, and Joe are all able to chip in and keep the server's code from collapsing under the weight of that much conflicting divine power. Xisuma used to be very religious but has renounced worship because "after meeting some gods, it's REALLY gotten quite hard to respect them"

Pearl, as i mentioned, joined as a mortal human woman in season 8. she occasionally joked about fitting in as a god bc she was related to the moon, but it was just that: a joke. at least, until Grian tore open a multiversal portal in S9 and they went through to the Empires universe first, where Pearl learned and, eventually, remembered, that she's a reincarnated goddess!

unfortunately she's also a wounded goddess, having burnt most of her divinity up at the end of ESMP1, and had two different demonic entities (first Xornoth, then Something Wicked) attach themselves to her in order to leech off the divine vitality that a wounded harvest and fertility goddess bled. she hasn't entirely purged herself of their influence, and Xornoth's scarlet Corruption mixes with Something Wicked's dark-blue Sculk inside of her divine gardens alongside the more innocuous fields of wheat and sunflowers. honestly? she's not too fussed about it! she think they're just as pretty as the other plants and fungi, and honestly, it's fun getting to add things like vengeance and blood to her domains. sure, she also needs blood sacrifices now and gets the urge to kill people, but eh, fun's fun!
