Help I don't know how to draw feathers

Coryn from Guardians of Ga'hoole for my QPP, because he's her son apparently.

Also a trans icon from what she's told me

Spoilers ahead for the Guardians of Ga’hoole.

A piece done a while ago of lord Coryn surveying the midnight landscape, perched above the peninsula of the spirit woods. I like to think that after death, he would often leave the heavens to visit his mortal world, guide lost scrooms, and perhaps living owls who have fallen astray. Once a king, always a king.

Something like a piece of the second part of the movie from the neural network, if Coryn was there…

The cold was biting into his bones. His legs refused to obey, just like his wings, tired from the long flight. He landed beside a river, trying to find shelter from the wind and cold. The river was small, but the water seemed black and deep.

He looked at his reflection in the water. A graceful silhouette, white feathers, like snow, shone dazzlingly against the dark water. His eyes, bright blue, the kind that barn owls don't have, like two drops of sky - a legacy from his mother. But they held no warmth, only icy despair.

He realized he hated this beauty. Because it was his curse.

nearly twenty years—two whole decades, since I read that fuck ass owl series and it's still embedded in my brain. I am never going to be free of the fighting the owl nazis book series, Kathryn Lasky needs to start paying rent for it having lived in my head for this long. i immigrated to a new country, finished elementary school, middle school, high school, graduated university, got a job, and I'm still here. blorbos come and go, but coryn remains.

Sketch of my old Ga'Hoole oc, Phoenix the tufted barn owl.(she's half barn owl half great horned)

She was captured by the pure ones as a chick but when they gount out her blood was tainted she was used for doing jobs that other pure owls couldn't (very bad jobs) she also had her feathers forcibly dyed red and white to hide her natural firey red/brown colors.

Until she was inspired by Coryn. And fled, she had a minor crush on him, and akso shared the similar fire sight ability, but not to the extent of him. When she ended up with the Huardians of Ga'hoole she quickly became a star in her chaw and showed great prowess in handling fire and sword.
