CONCEPT

Step 2/3 is the second part of Gemi’s multi-part project, THREE. While strong vocals were anticipated, we couldn’t image the all-star list of features for this release. Seojun of CO:HRT, Bin of OK:GO, E:JEI and Cosmo of UTOPIA, as well as Basick, Bang, and Saint, all contributed to vocals and raps, as well as gave a helping hand in production. Step 2/3 focuses on the aspects of both love and loss within a relationship. From a love that has reached it’s climax, to love that only continues to blossom despite looking into the face of adversity, Step 2/3 conveys it all in four tracks. Gemi’s strong vocals are well matched with each featuring artist on this project. Each song seems to be just right for each artist, and no track is worth a skip.

She moved to lead the way keeping Cosmo close to her. “I might not look it but I am not afraid to hit someone.” She huffed and continued to walk. “Fuck them, it doesn’t matter what they think. Hyde had been on the down low for a little now but that didn’t stop the younger from visiting one of her favorite seniors in the company. The two would regularly text as she considered her friendship with him to be a pretty good one, but despite their close bond it was hard to meet due to the other’s busy schedule. Now finally the two were able to hang out, though it required her to visit the elder’s dorm which she had no trouble with. She wasn’t particularly close to all members of Utopia but had talked to a few of them occasionally, enough to not feel uncomfortable around them. A few knocks on the door echoed as she awaited for one of them to open the door.

“Sunbae” the vocalist let the word ring out as it was weird to say when it was just the two of them together, but it was more of a habit thing ever since she debuted. Lynx just let out a laugh at her choice of words maybe it would have gotten his attention a little better considering since he was just a few steps from running into the nearest light pole. “Watch your step... or should I say watch your face?”

my strength comes from the confidence i have in myself and the way i can carry myself with pride. even when people criticize my singing, i perform on stage with unwavering charisma. even when they find some other way to judge me, i don’t let that hold me back. but i suppose my weakness is also from the same place. i know it’s just the haters talking but i’ve been called out for being kinda fake and self absorbed. society says you should be yourself, but you can’t really be yourself, right?

Maybe, just maybe, she lied to him and text him there were fries in the company when in reality, there was a small buffet full of different salad choices. Knowing everyone was busy, either spending their time in the company or practicing somewhere else, she decided to send the same message to a couple of people; tell them there was fries and other fast food ingredients and she needed a company to eat them. Unfortunately, it seemed like Cosmo believed her and she couldn't hide the proud smile from her lips. ❛Taddah! Nope, no fries but salad instead and now that you're here, you're gonna eat with me. Or at least, watch me eat it.❜ Chaeyeong didn't even wait for his answer when she was already tugging from his sleeve to get a closer look from the healthy foods. ❛I swear, after this, we will get fries to you.❜

it feels like it's been forever since the two met. Jinkyu hyung in the eyes of Gishun was someone he truly admires he was passionate in music and was a driven person that always had to do things right. It never bothered him one bit, however, what bothered him was the fact that he had never debuted with the elder. Someone he looked up to for months during the survival show both individuals were in. Jinkyu was the person he would go to especially when things would be tough, it was sad. 

Biting his lower tier as their eyes meet he smiles brightly at him as if all his worries were gone. Jinkyu had that effect, it was easy. "Hyung!" He wanted to run up to him and hug him tightly but being the closed-off type of man he is, he gave him a slight wave a smile prominent on his lips as he hums. "I missed you hyung!" He says after the two met halfway. "Thank you for showing up-- are you busy preparing for the concert?"

Since he’d been accepted into the company as a trainee, he’d started growing more and more interest in actually becoming an idol. Earlier in the year, he’d been scouted by a representative of the label who had encouraged him to audition for the newest batch of trainees. Not quite aware of what his life goal was, he decided to take a shot and surprisingly got accepted into the label as a promising dancer with looks that weren’t too bad. Ever since, he’d been trying to figure out what it was that he wanted to do, what his true colors were but the more he was surrounded by idols and saw their hard work and the way they enjoyed it, the more he became interested in becoming an idol as well. Dance however, would always be his main interest.

The elder in front of him, was one of the many reasons he’d gotten interested. The male- who had a surprisingly open character, seemed excited no matter what he did and was kind with his approaches, he seemed the kind of social person everyone enjoyed being around and despite his lack of Korean, he communicated well with the elder. So much he found himself leaning towards him, he found it hard making new friends yet with Jinkyu there to guide him, it was easier. Hence he often stuck to his side, just like their current lunch in which he’d followed the other behind much like a lost puppy would.
