Hey, seiyuu fans especially to #seiyuufansph! Remember about Waccha's radio show program called 'Hatanorururu' with Kouchan as their guest and they talk about their fun trip here in the Philippines!!
Problem is, I can't watch it on niconico because of payment issues on that site (curse the JP privilege sometimes) but someone on twitter was able to watch it and we asked her permission if we can use it as highlights on what they talked about *O* And she said yes 😊😊 And that person is @glagratan on twitter, and she's actually Waccha's translator from the Cosmania 2017 seiyuu panel ^^
Before we start the highlights!! Try to look closely at Waccha's sweater and Kouchan's hat >w< It's the same when we saw them at Cosmania 2017 seiyuu panel 😉😉
Now, it's time to point out what they talked about when they were in the Philippines 👏👏
You see the Panda stuff toy that Waccha is holding? Turns out that's one of the prizes that Kouchan won from MOA's peryahan (fair games).
They took a lot of Sto. Nino photos.
They have a photo holding hands as they ride MOA's ferris wheel which seems they're in a date 😅 with Jollibee (a statue) and some thin Filipino mythical god-like creatures.
They even said that the Filipino mythical god-like creatures resembles Eguchi Takuya so they called him 'Filipino God'.
They showed other photos of them eating at Jollibee around 4PM (after the seiyuu panel maybe? so merienda time?), walking around by MOA bay (which Kouchan won the panda stuff toy), going around Manila cathedral, drinking San Mig beer and eating halo-halo.
They also showed some photos from the seiyuu panel where they were waving at the crowd and the moment they had a selfie with the audience during the seiyuu panel.
They also showed a photo of them holding Kouchan's surprise birthday cake.
They can't forget the word 'bababa ba?' 'mahal ko kayo' and 'ulam' and they forgot about 'salamat po'.
Waccha said 'mahal kita' with his ikemen voice and then they imitated how we reacted with 'KYAA~' to that.
Waccha was getting excited over the word 'ulam' which in our country we use it as a term for 'ikemen' and started pointing at himself 'ore wa ulam (I'm ikemen)'.
They also talked about the rehearsal that morning. They first tried appearing with Waccha on the left and Kouchan on the right like the one in the cosmania 2017 promotion poster, but the plan to surprise Kouchan with the birthday cake coming from the left side, they had to change positions and they're like why? They tried to follow the position on the poster and the cosmania staff were like 'we'll switch the photos' and the staff were signaling the manager to make them switch (otherwise the surprise won't work) and manager-san took over and they switched 😂 and the surprise went well.
For Kouchan, he said 'the rehearsal went well' but for the rest of the staff they were in a bit of a panic mode 😅😅
Also they were so amazed with the LCD panel splitting in half 🤣🤣 But let's be honest, the sets during the seiyuu events in Japan are way more awesome but it's nice that he appreciated it.
And in the end, Waccha sang Happy Birthday to Kouchan and gave him a cake again which they also feed each other for a bit of fanservice.
And that concludes all the highlights from Waccha's radio show 〆(・∀・@)

EVENT REPORT ~Cosplay Mania Panel featuring Koutarou Nishiyama and Wataru Hatano
It's no secret about the freaking long line in Cosplay Mania just to get in. What really fuel us to get in was seeing Koutarou Nishiyama and Wataru Hatano. After 2hrs of long lines, we managed to get inside the venue.
Tumblr media
The panel was scheduled to start at 3pm so my friend and  I prepared ourselves for the battle ahead. Hall SP strictly follows no recording and photo rule. We agreed to do take note of keywords and jot down everything after the session. It took us the whole night to relive everything because we are still hanged up how fun and awesome the panel was. We want to share this with everyone. This transcript is not exact and the English translation is based on the host's and translators' word but we hope that you enjoyed it.
The panel started exactly as scheduled and the host proceeded in advising everyone the house rules. The crowd was really excited to see the guests. After brief introduction of the voice actors' portrayed characters, Koutarou Nishiyama and Wataru Hatano entered the stage with their 2 interpreters. Both seiyuu were surprised with the warm welcome they received. Host asked the audience to keep the noise minimal so everyone can hear their answer for the interview.
1. How is your stay in the Philippines?  Wataru: it's our first time here in the Philippines. We  were brought to a lot of places by the staff and ate a lot of food. They also taught us how to say "Konnichiwa", it's "magandang hapon", also "masarap to". Kou-chan: "Jolibee", I love Jolibee! Wataru: We also ate that sweet pasta. Host: That's the Jolly Spaghetti! Wataru: Also, the chicken. We put the gravy on the rice. Delicious! Kou-chan: yeah it's delicious! Wataru: We also learned what to say in the elevator: "Bababa" (everyone laughs) The accent is pretty much the same in Japanese. We also learned that "baba" is this. (points to chin). It's really interesting! 2. Do you eat other food aside Jolibee? Filipino cuisine, maybe? Wataru: We ate that soup. Host: What soup? Wataru: What's that again? Kou-chan: What's it name again? Hmm Wataru: "SINIGANG"! Host: How was sinigang? Wataru: We ate shrimp sinigang. EBI SINIGANG, DELICIOUS! (everyone laughs) Host: Any other food? What is your favorite? Wataru: "Pansitto" (Pansit) Yakisoba! Kou-chan: Yakisoba! Mecha Mecha masarap, ne? (everyone laughs) 3. What's your mental image of the Philippines before actually coming here? Kou-chan: I believe it's a very warm country where the food is delicious and there are many fruits. Host: What fruits did you try? Wataru: What we ate yesterday. Kou-chan: Mango, Banana Wataru: Banana masarap to. Mecha mecha masarap! Kou-chan: We ate a lot of food for 2 days and it's really delicious. The taste is similar to Japanese dishes. 4. On how they were welcomed here in the Philippines Wataru: It's our first time here and you welcome us like this. We would like to do more event here. Host: Would you comeback here in the Philippines? Wataru: I will come back here. Kou-chan: We will come back here. Salamat po! 5. Why did you chose to be a voice actor? Wataru: I never given it a thought. It similar to anyone who likes cosplay. When I was little, I really like Laputa, the Ghibli movie and I want to be Pazu. So, being a voice actor is really my life goal. Kou-chan: really? (laugh) Wataru: It's your turn now! Kou-chan: My middle school friends invited me to do the voice acting job. I find it so fun so I just continued doing it.  Wataru: We are completely opposites! My reason is very serious and yours is not. (laugh) Kou-chan: That's not true! 6. How did you become a voice actor? Wataru: How was it again? hmmm. I never had any experience until 18 years old. In school, I never joined the theater club because they stand on the ground and did this really weird thing to rehearse the words. I was really embrassed to do that, so I never did any acting. (Wataru queues the translator to do the same shouting reneactment he did. LOL everyone is laughing) Translator: It is really embarassing! Kou-chan: She was traumatized! (laugh) Wataru: I went to Tokyo when I was 18 to study being a voice actor and I had a lot of coaches. I was 21 when I got my first job so it was really a short time to study. Kou-chan: How was it again? hmmm I just smiled and keep everyone smiling and I can't stop being a voice actor right now. I just realized that I was alreay doing a lot of voice acting job, I did all the auditions I can get. Wataru: Koutarou just suddenly appeared! 7. Challenges you have as a voice actor Wataru: There's a lot of challenges for me. For a voice actor, there is this wall of challenges. There is no specific challenges I can say right now, it's all walls in front of me Kou-chan: The challenges are very similar with Wataru-san. But for me, the number one challenge for me is during auditions, where I always want to get everyone's attention to get the role. Wataru: To get a role, we actually have to get into auditions and to get one role, it's not just 1 audition, you have to do a lot of it. It's like the cosplay tournament. Before you get to the national championship, you have to get through the regional championship and do cosplay tournaments all year around.
8. Which character do find most challenging to voice act? Kou-chan: Which one is it? hmm Host: Who do you think, everyone? (Audience shouting different name of the characters they did) Wataru: Idolish 7? I played Gaku in the game. (He did a line in Gaku's voice) Kou-chan: I voiced Minami Natsume in the game (He did a line in Natsume's voice) Wataru: Good. Host: (laughing hard) Did you just understand what he said? He said he just farted! (everyone laughing). Wataru: Every character is difficult. Remember my character in Kuroko no Basuke? When I was in school, I played a lot of basketball when we heard that Philippines like basketball as well, we felt close. In Kuroko no Basuke, you know that in basketball, shooting only takes a few seconds, right? But in the anime, when they shoot, they float and speak their lines. It was very difficult. (Everyone is laughing so hard because Wataru is demonstrating the difference between real life shooting vs anime shooting while the translator is speaking) Kou-chan: For every character I play, they are different and difficult. The most memorable character that I played is, do you guys know Binan Koukou? I played the main character, Atsushi. I was very nervous when I was recording. 9. Advice for those who want to be a voice actor Wataru: Who wants to be a voice actor here? (audience raising hands) In the first voice actor event that I attended, they asked who wants to be a voice actor as well and I raised my hand. Whatever people tell you, as long as you do your best, you can become what ever you want, like what I am today. After the host questions, fan questions were asked. They were asked how being a voice actor changed their life? Wataru-san said that being a voice actor is his life goal and being one is like reaching his dream little by little. As for Koutarou-san, being able to meet a lot of people from different places is very cool. They were also asked what will be their job if they are not voice actors? Someone shouted "idol". Wataru was like: really, idol? But for him, he can't think of another job because he wants to be a voice actor since he was little. For Koutarou-san, everyone is cheering "Actor". Koutarou is like "do you want me to be an idol?". He said that during elementary school he wanted to be a baker and make delicious bread for his mother. The host asked: "Do you want to eat his bread?" (LOL) and everyone is shouting "TABETAI! TABETAI!" (LOL). Both voice actors were asked if they can make an otome game, what would it be? Wataru said that he will make an seiyuu-otome game, in VR and his main character will be Koutarou-san. Kou-chan said that his voice will be Wataru's. Wataru acted out what he called "the Ending" of the game and said "Mahal Kita", then it was Koutarou's turn and said "Bababa ba?" (lol) The host also asked them to read the fansigns and gave out flying kisses to everyone and as expect, everyone went wild! The host also asked if there are fans from other countries. There were fans from Japan, Singapore and Malaysia. They were really surprised that they have fan outside their own country and really thankful about it. Wataru said they have no idea how foreigners receive their characters and they are very grateful for those who went to see them.
After that, the raffle for the 10 winners of shikishi board happened. Both voice actors drawn the 10 winners and we are just glad that the Japanese fan was one of the winner! When the raffle was done, both guests and audience played "Pinoy Henyo". They need to ask the audience if it's yes, no and maybe. What's awesome about this game was it was the way to surprise Koutarou. The last word to be guessed is "cake" and Wataru's clue for him was "you are eating this since you were born". Surprisingly, Kou-chan answered "Blueberry cheese cake" in a cute way and Wataru said it's too specific, so Kou-chan said "cake" and the host announced that a cake was fit for the celebration and since it is October, it is Koutarou's birth month! A staff brought out the cake and everyone sang happy birthday. He was really touched and surprised with the gesture and told everyone "Mahal ko kayo!" The panel ended with a group photo with the audience and fans still screaming for more.
To be short, Wataru was on fire and Kou-chan was laughing so hard and was touched with the surprise. The crowd surely had tons of fun. I hope we get to see more of this voice actor panels in the future.

Best weapon I ever made, 14/10.
Ever since a good friend brought me to an indoor archery range, I’ve never made a bow prop that (1) didn’t bend and (2) didn’t fit with my draw length. Hanzo’s bows are pretty weird though, because the handle is place a little way back than usual. Didn’t matter when making them anyway.

waccha and kouchan @ cosplay mania 2017
just as it says on the tin, originally a twitter thread!!! crossposted from my twitter!!! totally not in order!!! i was not taking notes!!!
→they went to jollibee and loved it. thought jolly spaghetti was nice and sweet and waccha said they put chickenjoy gravy over rice →they also had sinigang sa hipon! they also tried out fruits like philippine mangoes and bananas →their impression of PH before going here was that it was a southern hemisphere country, so rlly hot, also good yummy fruits →can i just knight waccha's translator cuz waccha spoke so so SOOOOO much, kept having to make himself stop to let his translator translate →when asked what theyd wanna be if seiyuu work was off the table, waccha said he always wanted to be seiyuu and couldnt think of ever being anything else, but when audience cried out he could be an idol, he rolled with it lol →audience also said kouchan could be an idol so he rolled with it but actually said he wanted to be a baker, cuz he loves eating bread →was asked what kinda otoge they'd wanna make, waccha: some kinda VR setup where u get to date seiyuu (?) and the main route is kouchan →kouchan went AHHH, ACTUALLY, thats kiiiinda like mine cuz i want ALL my charas to be played by hatano san ("all waccha") →personal note, we were standing cuz no VIP ticket but HOLY SHIT MOM WE WERE SO CLOSE, TOO CLOSE, THEY WERE SHINING SHIMMERING SPLENDID →waccha never rlly thought about how he decided on being seiyuu but he loves anime so much and ended up here →kouchan went along with a friend who said they should try out for seiyuu work together and he thought it was fun so here he is rn →kou: if i never became seiyuu, i wouldnt have ever been able to meet you all like this, and i'd have never been able to go to PH like this! →back to the otoge: waccha went weeeeell i wanna have it in a filipino setting, so like, at the very last scene the MC would be, like, all- →waccha, in The Voice: mahal kita (i love you) →then he goes, ah, but my MC is CV.kouchan, so wont you do the thing too? what thing? ah youre all alone at the beach, you turn to her, say- →kouchan, in The Voice: bababa? (y' going down?) (also he shimmies down into an air chair pose cuz he is extra) →waccha was all like WTF BOI WHAT KINDA ENDING IS THAT EVEN????? →kou and waccha had fun with the fact that "bababa ba?" "bababa" can be a full convo ("are u going down?" "i am going down") →also waccha points out that here "baba" also means "chin" and just like JP the same syllables, same word can mean lots of stuff →i was luckily close enough to see so i am around 40% sure that their surprise bday cake for kouchan was yema cake and now i want yema cake →waccha: the thing is, both kou and i used to play bball, so you know the time before u shoot is like 1sec right??? but in anime the ball FLOATS MID AIR and they talk the ENTIRE TIME →as his translator repeats this he holds a shooting pose in mid air and goes yeppppp it goes like that →kouchan: backwards snapback, checkered shirt, pants, jacket →waccha: black sweater, white shirt, pants (this seems to be a fave outfit) →they both kept on giving heart signs and nama kisses to audience it was unreal →signs they read out from the audience: "notice me kouchan" "notice me waccha" "pls wink" "sing pls" →waccha: i never had acting XP cuz i didnt wanna go to theater club - they went out on school ground screaming weird stuff - →i am TRYING to recall the exact phrase but it was rlly silly, he screamed it, and he made his translator go and scream it out loud too →waccha: and THAT was embarrassing, i never wanted to do it, but here i did it anyway, →kou: u even made her (the translator) do it →kou: now she's REALLY TRAUMATIZED waccha tantou translator: that was rlly embarrassing →they had kou and waccha play filipino/pinoy henyo! they had to guess words by asking us questions and all we could say are yes, no, maybe →waccha's word was jollibee: "wait is this food - its filipino? smth we ate here??? uhhhh sinigang??" (kou: NOO) →kouchan's word was cake: "what is this? some sweet thing?? do i eat it??" (waccha: YOU ALWAYS EAT IT U'VE BEEN EATING IT SINCE U WERE BORN) kouchan: BLUEBERRY CHEESECAKE waccha: BE LESS SPECIFIC →for waccha he finally realized it was jollibee cuz kou said it was a chain with many branches and waccha went DOES IT HAVE A MASCOT CHARA →asked about what was hard about being seiyuu, waccha went well, actually everything is hard, its like a wall of challenge upon challenge, but he'd wanted to be a seiyuu for so so sooooo long that not once did he ever think of giving up on his dream →for kou, he said that actually he and waccha were the same, and he knows he always looks like he's happy and grinning but in fact it's the fans' smiles that give him strength to carry on →this bears repeating SOMEONE GIVE WACCHA TANTOU TRANSLATOR A KNIGHTHOOD, VACATION LEAVE, A RAISE, A HUG,SHE'S SO TIRED WACCHA SAID TOO MUCH →waccha: we're always surprised that we have fans overseas! there's a lot of untranslateable stuff in JP works so we always wonder how overseas audiences would take them, so we're rlly happy rn! →in pinoy henyo we were screaming responses but accompanied it by literally going 🙆 for yes 🙅 for no and shrugging for maybe, and eventually the one of em who wasnt answering the question begun doing the same too LMAO it was cute →i think this wasnt translated onstage, but remember how one of the audience signs was "sing pls?" waccha went, uhh rlly?? just one would - be okay?? rlly?? well then what song should i sing?? birdsong?? OKAY ITS A PITY NO ONE PICKED UP ON THIS CUZ FOR ONE REASON one of waccha's official profile talents on 81pro website is "mimicking bird calls"! WHY DID NO ONE NOTICE WHY DIDNT U LET HIM DO THAT →kouchan voice めちゃめちゃmasarap is goddamned iconic i swear to god →waccha noticed @kujouheaven 's regality album and was happy they actually bought it!! he also said one of his ingame lines and talked about how playing him was, also kou talked about zool and said a ridic af line in his chara's voice (host: WTF U KNOW HE SAID HE FARTED RIGHT) →I REMEMBER NOW the line waccha did when he noticed the regality album was "trigger rlly is the best isn't it?" I CANT BELIEVE I HEARD THAT →they said that there's lots of auditions u take before u go to final audition for a role (waccha: just like the cosplay tournament here!) →they asked who in the audience wanted to try out being seiyuu and almost everyone raised their hands, and waccha goes and says, waccha: in the first event i ever went to, a pro seiyuu asked that question, and only one person raised their hand. and it was me. so i'm very very happy to see this kind of turnout. →general notes: kouchan was surprisingly quiet and kept looking to waccha, waccha was A GODDAMNED MOTORMOUTH, kept looking around and waving →when his translator was repeating one of his (rlly long) answers waccha kept miming walking with heavy steps it looked so funny i stg →WACCHA'S NAMA KISSES CAME WITH リップ音 HOW ARE WE ALL STILL ALIVE →kouchan: its important to have one big goal, like 'i wanna be a seiyuu', but its also important to better urself w/ small goals bit by bit →waccha, after another long speech: uhhh right ive gone for too long kou u can talk now kou: 👀 reaaaally. are you SURE

Cosplay Mania 2017
To be very honest I only decided to attend this convention the monday of the week it was going to be held. I really didn’t plan to attend this year but thanks to @rasennaro  I impulsively decided to drag friends along and bought tickets so I could go merch shopping and get Sayo Yamamoto’s autograph! I was so pressured making a decision if I was going to buy the meet and greet ticket. I was so nervous what if I cause trouble because I had no idea what time it would start and my dad had to pick me up at a specific time. I was still mulling over it that morning of the con.
The con started around 11am but I was already lined up by 8am and the queue was so friggin long already. Heck when I just got out of the cab, there was someone who yelled “STEP ON ME VICTOR!!” and I was concerned what to do lol
. When I got inside, there was an even longer line to exchange the tickets for the entry straps. THEN BECAUSE I WAS PRESSURED TO MAKE THE DECISION BECAUSE A GIRL INVITED ME TO GO LINE UP WITH HER, I STOOD IN ANOTHER LINE FOR THE MEET AND GREET STUB FOR SAYO YAMAMOTO. That’s where I met new friends along the way. 4 TOTAL HOURS OF WAITING = New friends?? Seems plausible. @randomrissarush @zuzusexytiems
I found several YOI cosplayers and well-- most of them found me instead. I had to pause my shopping every once in a while so that other con goers can take a picture with me. AND I WAS SO HAPPY THEY WERE ALL SO NICE AND SO CUTE I JUST COULDN’T HELP THIS BUBBLY FEELS IN ME. We even exchanged instagram accounts so that we could still contact each other after the con.
I totally skipped lunch for this and at the YOI panel, I think I partly lost a bit of my voice screaming at the top of my lungs being up and close with Sayo Yamamoto. UNTIL THAT IS, I WAS FIRST IN LINE TO MEET AND GREET SAYO YAMAMOTO AND TO GET HER AUTOGRAPH OH GOSHAFHDFJAF
IT WAS SO WORTH IT.
The honor of being first in line and the moment I stepped in, she was like “Victor!” and I just instinctively said a line in the anime going “Hi! Victor Nikiforov desu. Kyou kara Yuuri no coach hajimaru yo.” [Hi, I’m Victor Nikiforov and starting today I’m going to be Yuuri’s coach!]
She was all smiles and giggles and I couldn’t help but etch the sight of her so happy to see Victor, the first one to meet her. And then when she handed over the autograph, I received it and thanked her in Russian.
“Spasibo!” we both said. And good lord was it so surreal and a dream come true.
4 hours of waiting? Risking to buy the ticket? Burning cash? HECK IT WAS WORTH IT.

First of all, I just want to say about my CosMania 2017 experience is that WACCHA AND KOUCHAN NOTICED ME!! o(^▽^)o
Here’s how it happen! Me and my friends were at the far left side (of the panel) as we all stand on the ramp as we listen to their interview and then, I thought there’s a way for them to notice us, so I brought out my Seiyuu JUNON magazine from my bag and showed the pages where Kouchan is in it (the one in the photo) with the help of @shirokumaya to hold the other side of the magazine. When their translator is done talking, we shouted ‘Kouchan!’ and Waccha saw the magazine as he points to where we are and said ‘こうちゃん、見って! (Kou-chan, look!)’ and then Kouchan gave us that cute smile of his 😊😊
PS: Kouchan noticed me twice but I’ll explain it on my full fan report soon ^^
Overall, that’s the only one I enjoyed the most. Cause roaming around the main convention was too dragging with so many people, and I’m surprised I only have 1st year Asahi merch from the event 😅

Cosplay Mania 2017, Day 2! Oh man it took about 3 hours to get inside the convention center. Despite the long wait and the massive crowd, we all had fun! Plus, it was the first con my friend (Red Riding Hood), my cousin, and his gf ever attended, so it was definitely an experience for them. It was also my first time to make matching costumes for myself and my brother, all within 1 month! Got separated from him though so we didn't get much pictures together :c But! We found Ash and he was a good sport! Highlight of the day though was getting a picture with the Animax mascots - they were super adorable and playful! Also, the cosplayers were amazing as always. Looking forward to an even better CosMania next year :)
