“Tiva” is stepping up to the mic.

TVLine has learned exclusively that Cote de Pablo and Michael Weatherly — NCIS vets and stars of the upcoming NCIS: Tony & Ziva spinoff — are launching a Spotify video podcast titled Off Duty: An NCIS Rewatch.

In each weekly episode of Off Duty: An NCIS Rewatch, de Pablo and Weatherly will invite a special guest to join them as they rewatch iconic NCIS episodes.

Present and past cast and guest stars making appearances include Sean Murray (who since Season 1, Episode 7 has played Special Agent Tim McGee), Brian Dietzen (Dr. Jimmy Palmer since late Season 1), Sasha Alexander (Special Agent Caitlin Todd in Seasons 1 and 2), Eric Christian Olsen and Daniela Ruah (NCIS: Los Angeles‘ Marty Deeks and Special Agent Kensi Blye), Season 13 NCIS guest star Jon Cryer and others, each of whom will join the hosts to reminisce about the long-running and well-watched procedural’s impact on television and pop culture, and reveal exclusive behind-the-scenes moments from making the TV series.

Premiering Tuesday, June 4 (soon!), the Spotify video podcast will also feature recurring and interactive segments that will further connect fans and NCIS loyalists.

Weatherly starred as NCIS‘ Special Agent Tony DiNozzo from the series’ backdoor pilot (as a JAG double episode) through the end of Season 13, and made a surprise cameo in the most recent season’s second episode.

De Pablo played Special Agent Ziva David from Season 3 through 10, surprised viewers with her own cameo in the Season 16 finale, and then appeared in multiple Season 17 episodes.

De Pablo and Weatherly are heading to Budapest this summer to begin filming Paramount+’s Europe-set NCIS: Tony & Ziva series, which finds the title characters “trying to raise their tween daughter and save the world.” John McNamara, whose past TV credits include co-creating Profit  Fastlane and The Magicians, penned the spinoff’s premiere and will serve as showrunner.

Off Duty: An NCIS Rewatch is produced by Spotify Studios in partnership with Rabbit Grin Productions, with Jeph Porter and Rob Holysz as executive producers. Natalie Holysz, Kasper Selvig and Derek Johnson also serve as producers.

Paramount+ Announces ‘NCIS: Tony and Ziva’ Cast as Filming Begins

Cliff Lipson/CBS Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo are bringing back their iconic characters in a new spinoff aptly titled, NCIS: Tony & Ziva. The series was announced by Paramount+ in February 2024, with confirmation that they would be bringing back Weatherly and de Pablo. Weatherly starred on the military drama as Tony DiNozzo from seasons 1 to 13, while de Pablo joined the cast as Ziva David…

Off Duty: NCIS Rewatch Video Podcast Debuts

Rewatch podcasts are almost always a safe investment for a podcast network or indie podcaster. First, you have a built-in audience that loves the TV show, even if it's been off the air for quite a while. Second, the rewatch podcast has several content options, such as reviewing each TV episode on the podcast or having people who worked on the show be interviewed. Or both. The Psychologists Are In with Maggie Lawson and Timothy Omundson is one of the best TV rewatch podcasts around. That rewatch show has the benefit of two of the principal cast members as co-hosts. Even better, Lawson is terrific.

So it's no surprise that Spotify has announced the launch of a new weekly video podcast, Off Duty: An NCIS Rewatch, with hosts and NCIS castmates Cote de Pablo and Michael Weatherly – set to debut on Tuesday, June 4, 2024. The podcast will reunite the fan-favorite actors from the NCISverse as they rewatch, reminisce, and reveal more from the popular TV series. 

 Here's the marketing pitch: "In each weekly podcast episode, Cote and Michael will invite a special guest to join them as they rewatch iconic NCIS episodes. Former franchise cast and guest stars making appearances include Sean Murray, Sasha Alexander, Eric Christian Olsen, Jon Cryer and many more who will join the hosts to reminisce about the show’s undeniable impact in television and pop culture, and reveal exclusive behind-the-scenes moments from making the cherished TV series."

 NCIS co-stars and apparently, lifelong friends, Michael Weatherly and Cote De Pablo, are hosting the quintessential NCIS rewatch podcast. They played two of NCIS's most memorable characters, agents Tony DiNozzo and Ziva David, AKA "TiVa". Each week, they will break down an episode of NCIS and host a special guest, including stars and key behind the scenes folks from across the NCIS universe, to reminisce about the show’s impact and reveal behind-the-scenes, never-before-shared moments from the making of this beloved franchise.

Weatherly was on NCIS for 13 seasons, when he left to star in his own CBS TV series, Bull.  In January 2018, CBS settled for $9.5 million with actress Eliza Dushku after she was fired from a recurring role on Bull after informing producers of Weatherly's inappropriate behavior on the set. According to documents from the official mediation, Weatherly was recorded on video making comments about spanking Dushku over his knee, soliciting a threesome, alluding to sexual assault in his "rape van," and other inappropriate remarks. 

After the settlement was reported, Weatherly publicly apologized for the comments, yet Dushku responded that Weatherly broke the terms of their settlement by speaking to the press and characterized his apology as "more deflection, denial, and spin."

Then in 2021,CBS announced that Bull showrunner Glenn Gordon Caron and costar Freddy Rodriguez would be leaving the series after a workplace investigation was conducted by CBS. A rep for CBS Studios declined to share the findings of the investigation at the time, and they've still not been disclosed.

 Cote de Pablo played former Mossad agent Ziva David from 2006 until 2013 when she left the show for what she later said was dissatisfaction over the direction of her character arc. In the season 13 finale of the series, it was stated that her character had apparently died in an explosion in Israel. Yet three years later, she was miraculously alive (please thank soap operas for character resurrection).

If you're a NCIS fan -- and there are a lot of them -- check out Off Duty: An NCIS Rewatch. You have to give the show credit. In 21 seasons, the show has cycled through a lot of characters -- it just lost Katrina Law as Jessica Knight this month -- andstill garners excellent ratings.

NCIS is celebrating a milestone that not many television shows can brag about! 

On April 15, the hit CBS franchise will air its 1000th episode after more than two decades on air and spawning four spinoffs set in Hawaii, Los Angeles, New Orleans and Sydney. The mothership show aired its first episode in September 2003 and has racked up more than 450 episodes alone, while Los Angeles and New Orleans have contributed 320 and 150, respectively, to the overall total. 

The franchise follow the lives and cases of agents with the Naval Criminal Investigative Service and has kept fans around for years thanks to its heart-stopping storylines, incredible guest stars -- including pre-fame Zac Efron and Millie Bobby Brown -- and tender moments between characters. 

On top of a retrospective element, ET's NCISVerse: The First 1000 hosted by Kevin Frazier will look ahead at the two new shows coming to the franchise, NCIS: Origins and an unnamed series starring fan-favorites Cote de Pablo and Weatherly. The former will be an origin story for Harmon's character, Leroy Jethro Gibbs, while the latter series will see de Pablo and Weatherly reprise their roles as Ziva David and Tony DiNozzo.

ET first reported on de Pablo and Weatherly returning to the franchise in February when Paramount and CBS revealed the official description for the 10-episode first season, slated to film in Europe this year. 

In December, ET spoke with NCIS: Sydney star Olivia Swann, a newcomer to the series, who said that when it comes to joining such an iconic franchise, she couldn't feel more humbled or grateful by the opportunity. 

"It's such an honor being part of a franchise like this," she said. "It kind of hasn't been until now that we're realizing the magnitude of it, which is mind-blowing. We just have the best time and we're just so grateful to be a part of this this world and this universe."

Similarly, Wilmer Valderrama -- who joined NCIS in its 14th season as Special Agent Nicholas Torres -- told ET in January that while the show's 21st season was shortened to 10 episodes -- primarily due to the 2023 WGA strike -- the fans were in for a treat from start to finish. 

"We're gonna try to make sure that every time an episode ends, you know, something in that episode is gonna carry over and we're gonna try because I think it's time for producers to evolve and the future of content and how it's being consumed. I think CBS does it better, they know their audience super well. So, I'm really proud of what we're doing," he shared.

MOZHAN MARNO, THE BLACKLIST. ] THIS IS ME BANGING MY POTS AND PANS BC I'VE BEEN PITCHING MOZHAN AS A NAT FC FOR LITERAL YEARS. she's flawless and incredibly underused in the rpc, which is SUCH a shame. my fave action girlie from this show, and she's in it for 5 seasons if i remember correctly so you'll have a TONNE of scenes to work with. i pitch her ( persian if i'm not mistaken ) to you and basically everyone reading this WITH MY WHOLE ENTIRE CHEST.

** i also want to point out that none of these actresses are russian,  or at least to my knowledge.    that might affect your decision bc it would also mean you’d have to change up nat’s backstory if you ever did want to use them.

What kind of weapons and badassery are you thinking of? Because I can think of a few that fit that category. If it's guns and that stuff Priyanka Chopra could be an option for her role in quantico, tho hollow art doesn't seem to have anything. Other options include: Sarah Shahi (I use her myself for an oc and there's a fair amount of icons, stuff on hollowart, and a ton of gifsets, her person of interest stuff especially for guns and hand to hand.)
