☆ paradox live as stray kids songs!

i've always thought that stray kids had some sort of paralive style attached to them, considering all the genres they've covered over the years. so since me and @paixarina have been talking a lot about it lately here's one of my good bad old music analysis posts :D you can take these as recommendations! stan paralive, stan skz <3

— BAE ; MIROH

honorable mentions: give me your tmi, boxer, super board

bae's style has always been very edm oriented, with a hint of pop. especially songs like we are the future and bermuda triangle are very hard-hitting and energetic, so i couldn't help but think about miroh.

— THE CAT'S WHISKERS ; MUDDY WATER

honorable mentions: scene stealers (3racha)

tcw's unique jazz style made me immediately think of muddy water. this old-style, shallow sound perfectly fits with them! even the rap style is similar to tcw's, imo.

— COZMEZ ; EASY

honorable mentions: double knot, zone (3racha), 19

i'm pretty sure stray kids fits cozmez the most in general. i thought of so many songs that reminded me of them, i can't mention them all lmao. young, angsty vibes, expressed through raging trap music? that's peak cozmez style!

do you want akyr's festival-ish sound, mixed with traditional sound? ta is the answer! it reminds me of wanted vibes a lot. i think skz's boisterous but cheerful music fits them the most.

i admit it was hard to pick a more cutesy song that could remind me of visty 😭 but in the end i settled on probably the cutest and poppiest song skz has ever made. it encompasses visty's refreshing sound well :P

we got it! at least one song! wolfgang has that dramatic and goth-ish vibe that defines amprule as well. the violins on the dark instrumental are soooo amprule coded.

1nm8's experimental sound is so hard to find anywhere else tbh. skz are also pretty experimental themselves and i decided including some of their "weirdest" songs in this section... they give me the same ethereal feeling of 1nm8.

do you want some good old rage? early skz was so edgy, even beware's title is so perfectly in sync with goku luck's concept (i mean... they're criminals. makes sense). battle ground isn't an old song but!! they went back to their old rock-ish sound and it just reminds of goku luck SO MUCH!!

OK BACK FOR THE PARALIVE RAMBLE.

I think actually reading the voice dramas (again just ask me if wanted and i can send the site where i read them all) does a better job on explaining like. Exactly the plot but ok let's go on a small tldr about what happens

So! Battle 1! Battle 1 happened only between the 4 initial ones (b∆e, tcw, czmz, akyr) and here's how it generally worked by then:

Two units were given a theme, they had to make a song, they sang the song. Along the song, came a voice drama with the two units who received the theme and it gave us some info on them/their dynamics. The themes for the first one and the battles were as following, with the winners being old

Round 1 — Desire (b∆e x czmz), Justice (tcw x akyr)

Round 2 — Pride (b∆e x tcw), Family (czmz x akyr)

Round 3 — Love (tcw x czmz), Vibes (b∆e x akyr)

Something fun to note is that yes, since the beginning there was a heavy b∆e + czmz bias from the fans and the tcw victory in the pride battle was fully accidental. B∆e fans are insane and ALWAYS calculate their votes so they can win... But on the pride battle, they miscalculated and ended up missing a little under 100k points for the final victory

After the round 1 battle, we got the shuffle songs! Aka we got

new & classic (yohei, neoakira, hajun, allen)

club candy (iori, zen, satsuki, anne)

rooftop friends (shiki, nayuta)

lollipop*universe (anne, ryu, nayuta, reo)

suzaku & kanata (can you fucking guess)

beauty & beast (anne, satsuki)

48 & cozmez (again can you fucking guess)

double trouble (yohei, iori)

hokusai with akancatsura (ryu, shiki, hokusai, reo)

After the shuffles, we got to the end of the competition. The major battle for the finals was between cozmez and bae (both were at 12 million with a difference of 400k points for the finals, while akyr and tcw were at 8m/7m respectively), but cozmez ended up winning! And with that they also got the chance to go against buraikan in a battle... And then the fucking place FELL DOWN. and i wish i was kidding on that one but nope. The fucking place FELL. alas hey yk what would be funny. YEAH. SURPRISE NEW UNITS DROP.

And alas. We finish the original paradox live competition and get into the part 2 and the one we are currently one: road to legend. We got voice tracks to introduce us to the newest units (visty, amprule, 1nm8 and gokuluck)

The road to legend works a bit differently: aka a single theme is giving to FOUR (not two) units but they will go on two to two battles, aka we have two themes per round as usual but it's a bit shuffled around so all 8 can participate. We only had one round until now but it went as following

Round 1 — Fate (b∆e x amprule • tcw x 1nm8), Rage (czmz x visty • akyr x gklk)

Aka yeah. As you can see, the original 4 won them all. Because of that we got something known as the consolation match! All 4 new units got new songs (which were all BANGERS) and got to go against each other. They had no theme and could just make w cool sounding song which is what happened. The main battle was between visty and gokuluck fans but gklk still had a easy victory, with 8m compared to vistys 6m (1nm8 had 5m and amprule around 4m)

And this leaves us where we are currently! We just got the road to legend round 2 first two songs (b∆e x tcw again) with the theme of Will, and alas we got No Matter What (tcw) and G∆L∆XY (b∆e) <3 thanks for letting me be autistic and ask me abt anything else i have too much info abt this franchise

Reasons why you should give your points to VISTY:

Even though they lost their center member, they're fighting so so so hard to stay alive. And on their Twitters (I think it was Toma's), they were talking about no matter how the voting goes, they'll still keeping fighting for Stella 🥺🥺🥺 dude

All of their songs have been absolute bangers. Look, Endless Dream was the strongest song out of the four competing songs on Showdown. VISTY has been stepping it up every single one of their songs.

Personally, I think it was a little eh that they were given the rage theme for the first round of Road To Legend and then having to compete against cozmez. I love Nayuta and Kanata a lot please don't get me wrong 🥺 and I do think VISTY can hold a candle to cozmez, but I just feel like rage is something way out of left field for VISTY but totally within the comfort zone for cozmez (and in the comfort zone for GokuLuck and AKYR).

HAVE YOU SEEN THE DOPE SHOW CLIPS ON YOUTUBE??? VISTY killed their performance of For My Stella. Granted Aoi couldn't make it for the performance, but the hype was so real, and they sounded so good. They were having a great time, the crowd was having a great time, and I may have bought Toma's ring light but we don't talk about that

Also they are so so so pretty 🥺 unbelievably visually appealing. I'm holding them gently in my hands

Ok so ANY bae song is a banger.some personal faves include ambitious (BLA BLA BLAST IT OFF THE WORLD.) and emblem and freakout. Bermuda triangle also a banger

I'm a BIG tcw fan so i am absolutely biased on this but listen to all their songs. It isn't everyone's thing but oh my GODDDD it goes so fucking hard and i love their songs from the slower ones like mercy on me to shooting arrows.

Also on the "listen to all" go hear all 1nm8 and gokuluck. Hoooooly shit 1nm8 songs. They have this sort of ethereal quality to them and they're so floaty and the flow is so good and soft. Gokuluck has a rougher sounding type of music and it scratches my brain SO WELL. Visty and amprule r also easy hear all songs since also fall into the 3 songs only

Also a big AKYR fan so ok uh. First to come to my brain is license to kill because hoooly shit, the akyr x gklk rage only had bangers. Wanted vibes is also straight up fire

For cozmez their sound is usually deeper and angrier so a lot of the times i have to be in a very specific mood for most of them, but some of the ones i always enjoy are hit em up, runnin and aint no love!

For the mixed ones, sound of voltage is insane and they're gay and the lyrics are so fucking funny with Kanata almost murdering the guy while Allen just goes suzaku + kanata boom chemistry 🥺. Jumping into my world is a MUST and I'm also insane about candy night and why do you like me.
