In any case, let me first say that you've got one hell of a handsome octopus over there! Did you follow a tutorial, or is it something you do often? The parts are merged together smoothly, and the surface is also polished very well. Really high quality work.

I'd ask what your own preference is: would you go for a more realistic outcome? In that case, I could suggest some dark blues or copper reds, with some stippling for a texture effect. If you planned something more abstract, I could definitely see this in a pastel color with funky patterns of your choice. On the name front, I'm rather terrible. I immediately thought of 'My Octopus Teacher', perhaps a small tribute to the documentary. So I came up with False, after False Bay, the location of the underwater kelp forest where Craig Foster found the octopus. No idea if it's silly or not. You decide.

Lastly, I'm very glad you could find something helpful in my works! I hope you had a lot of fun modelling the cutie, and I'd recommend this to anyone reading and in need of a recreational activity.

How Invincible fight girl spoke to me as an artist. (A Heavily personal post)

Look. This might be explained how it dose pretty badly and I'm a bit biased because I really like this show so bear with me.

Yes I know the show isn't really about being an artist and the strangles of it. It's a show about a girl who wants to be a wrestler. Not the BEST wrestler . Just A wrestler and fallowing her dream and finding friends along the way who are interested in sat dream but for different reasons.

But I feel like behind the cool wrestling curtains. There is also a story about following your dreams and for me personally . Wanting to be a artist . And yah I can hear it a mile away. "but isn't that what mha also did" probably idk I didn't watch it to say yes or no. But this isn't about "who did what first"

it's about how this show showed up in the right time in my life and how it feels more of a personal journey of an artist than just a wrestling show . Aka my interpretation of this show.

So how did I get through this conclusion. Well it was a moment from the fifth episode " the perfect streak". And I can't really put it in to words so just going to show it to you

And that when I started to look at this show in a different light. Instead of it just being a cool action show about wrestling. It's really about someone who wants to be something they see as cool and they want to be like set cool thing. And they'll do anything to be it. Even if it starts to hurt you. It's all going to be worth it.

And as an artist. I relate to this more than any other show, movie, character about it

I see the perfect streak it salf as a metaphor of things artists struggle to draw. Like hands,autonomy,poses,perspective stuff like that.

And the wooden doll Andy used to punch as a kid is also a metaphor of things artists used to struggle with as kids . Like a a basic body or hair or whatever you struggled with back then.

And when you remembered how it falt when you started out. When all you really had was a pencil and a pepper and some tutorials on YouTube. And that thing that inspired you in the first place. And when you did finally succeeded in drawing it. To everyone else you peaked. But to you. It was only the beginning of a journey that might last a bit longer than you thought.

And as you still going. All of this. Is just the beginning. So don't gave up.

But if you do. Then Cool it's not going to be the end of the world. Because your not living for the world. You're living for you. And yes that is a line from the busters. People who falled to achieve their own dream and gave up on it. And they seemed pretty comfortable and happy with it. I like that.

And I like how Mikey and Craig are in like a different spectrum of what they see in wrestling. Like what different people see in art.

Mikey likes wrestling. He likes learning it. Analyzing it writtening about it. But not Doing it. Say like an art critic or an art journalist. He loves it and wants to learn more about it but doesn't want to it or can't do it.

Craig on the other hand is someone who sees Andy's skills as a way to making him Rich and probably famous. Now he the side that sees value in art in like how rich is is going to be if he shows it to the world. But ill gave him credit that. He genuinely sees something in her. Instead of seeing what she can do to make him Rich and just being a shittie person to her.

And andy her salf. Yeah I like her. She's a pretty good protagonist. I like how shes detriment to be a wrestler. Even if she was supposed to be a accountnat but desided that she wants to be wrestler. Pushing her salf to the limit. Yah I see her as a pretty good role model for anyone who wants to be something in life .

And I might be salf projecting a little bit. But I can go on and on of why she is bast girl but I might go on for an hour and I've been writing this for 4 hours . Sooo yah.. I don't want to go on longer than I do.

Any way. What did I mean when I said "this show showed up in the right time in my life" well.. It's a long story. Also this is SUPER porsonl so if you don't want to read then skip it there OK :3

Alright where do I start from that mess..

You back in July. I falled 3 classes. Physics,math, and chemistry and oh boy it was nightmare. And when I repeat it the final exams. I falled at math and.... It was the darkest part of my life so far. I couldn't eat. Couldn't sleep. I couldn't even have the strength to get up and study some time. And especially couldn't draw. And even if I did it looked bad. Or ugly. And sometimes I was thinking of dark things that I don't want to go deep in to here. And when I finally did repeat it by some miracle I did it. It's over 9th grade is finally done and I can go to art school now. And it falt like a dream I was so happy about it I literally screamed. I tried burning the math book but my brother needed it so I didn't.

But a few months later I tried attending to art school.. And I still don't understand why but they didn't expect me. There reason was I was to shy. To smell. To fragile that putting me in a school with people like them might result in a lot of bullying. So they said no. And my parents weren't happy about it. They cept blaming me for what happened. It only made me feel even more terrible about my salf.

And one faithful day the same day I wasn't expected in art school.

I was in my room looking for something to make me happy for onets and I saw that this new show that I was waiting for in 2022..oh cob I'm old.. Had Finley eraed. And it first episode was on YouTube. So I decided to watch it and when I did. It was good. I really liked it. Tho the animation was kinda off it still pretty good. And I tried finding the other episodes but couldn't. So I kinda forget about it. But I tried watching it. But a month later a friend of mine said " you're going to love Invincible fight girl" and I was like " I already do. I just don't know where to watch it." And they gave me a way to watch it. W.c.o it was only 7 episodes in at the time I came back to it. I binged it in one siting. And to say I was obsessed would be an understandment of the decade.

It was everything I ever wanted from a show. it was GREAT IT WAS FUN IT WAS IT WAS SAD IT Was...Inspirational and I was in need of it at that time and I love it for that alone. It basically changed my life.

I started seeing my self in these silly quirky characters. Like how Mikey is seen for who he could be and not what he wants to be by his family. How no matter what bertie dose. Her parents will never gave her the time of day. And if they do. It was only for them to call her something mean for doing it.

But I saw my self in Andy the most. Her journey speaks volumes to me. How even if everything was against her and no supported her (at the time) she still did it. And that was only the beginning of the journey. And I can't wait to she's up to in the next few years. If Invincible fight girl doesn't get a season two right now. I will fly to the US and buy a chainsaw and go to David zaslv's office AND-- okay that was a bit to far.

So TLDR Invincible fight girl is a story about following your dreams but also the dangers of set dreams that it can caus to you. Like being an artist

And at times like this one . We need this tip of show.

Genesis

Good morning everyone I slept like hell. BUT. I'm ready to actually write water world(when my didn't-sleep-enough migraine goes away). Also y'all are starting to catch onto my lil secrets without me telling you.

Gonna have to start hiding more in different places. LMFAO. Anyways stay tuned updates are here today.

7:45: Chapter 13 is done and I can actually say I have put more work into this chapter than I have in probably any chapter I've ever written. The coding alone seriously took me two hours to figure out (and it is not perfect, but whatever. If anyone knows html pls lmk bc all of the YouTube tutorials and calls to the void have left me with nothing.) Anyways, we're at 43.2k. Also Tammy's almost done. Yippie.

8:26: In a fun update, I may very well be making not one, but TWO ship tags for this fic. At what point to I become the owner of rare pairs?

9:39: Y'all is this gay? (The weather forecast is starting to look like doomed yuri may roll in.)

Here’s Tam. I gotta fix her bc I’m not too fond of her face but HERE WE GO

It's 6:35. I am not shutting down but I did just realize I broke 50k. I am currently on chapter 15. Which means a new player is introduced!! And I'm losing my shit! She was supposed to get introduced in 17, but I cut two chapters because they were honestly very filler-ish and whereas I do enjoy me a good filler chap, they'd probably be incredibly short and not very good at all. So there are little bits of filler and fluff sprinkled around. I might go back and phone in a filler chapter or two because I do love the ups and downs, but I am officially at the point of no return in this story. No more fun filler potential after this chapter. Like, I am writing Craig solo fight an angel as filler. I was originally gonna skip over it but chapter 15 is only 2.6k so far and that's just like disrespectful to its 3-5k brethren.

Also the angels I started concepting last night and finished tonight for chapter 14 fucking ATE!!!!!!! I love them so much oh my god their entire concept is fucking great. I also fear chapter 14 may be like one of the most well written fights/realms I've written and it's all downhill from here. God bless.

Okay it's 6:58. Chapter 15 is done. It's 3.6k. I can live with that. I'm closing up shop at 51.3k tonight. Goodnight.<3

BB20: Friday 13 October

Live Eviction 1: Farida V Kerry

The biggest change so far to the ITV flavour of Big Brother is that no episode so far has ended with "who goes? you decide".

The housemates nominated on Thursday 12 October, meaninging the nominations aren't shown until eviction night. This feels so strange!

The housemates facing eviction were revealed in companion show Big Brother: Late & Live. I will not be watching that show, no matter how often my mother asks me to.

Nominations are my favourite part of the show, so I'm not going to talk about who's up for eviction yet. I'm going to live in the moment, and enjoy the unfolding story.

OH! One nomination each!! That's new. It's always been two each, hasn't it?

Channelle nominates Kerry, for being blunt and rude towards Farida.

Non-alphabetical order to nominate too. I don't approve. My charts will be alphabetical for certain.

Hallie nominates Farida because she talks over people, and hasn't put in the effort to get to know others.

This really highlights the difference between what's broadcast and the vibe in the house. Footage really makes it look like Farida's bonded nicely with Hallie. But then, the main occasion where we saw Farida ask Hallie questions, it was "is it gay for men to fancy trans women" innit. Not ideal.

Henry nominates Farida because, when Zak asked Henry what boarding school was like, Farida interrupted to explain boarding schools (incorrectly, to Henry's experience).

Matty nominates Kerry because her loud voice goes through him, and also because she moaned about her meal. "It annoys me when people aren't grateful" - here, grateful to Big Brother!

Trish nominates Paul! She doesn't find him deep.

Horrifying thought - these housemates ARE in alphabetical order. Are we skipping housemates?? We've skipped Dylan, Farida, Jenkin, Jordan, Kerry, Noky, Olivia, Paul and Tom so far. Yinrun and Zak left to go too. Am I missing some Nominations Uncut show or something? Dear dear. How very disturbing.

Okay, Marcus Bentley claims only five nominations have been cast so far. Maybe it is just a weird order.

Zak nominates Henry! For not speaking to everyone in the house, and for giving up immediately in the staying-in-bed task. Teamwork, and a positive attitude to tasks, are really important to Zak.

Yinrun becomes the first housemate to nominate out of alphabetical order. This is a relief to me, since it suggests we WILL see everyone's nominations. As if Yinrun didn't already bring me enough joy.

Yinrun nominates Kerry, because she's hurt by Kerry seeming uninterested in her.

Hallie powerfully representing the trans experience of talking with great pride about the vagina and breasts she'll have in the future. I love her.

Jordan nominates Paul because of his bodily fluid-based humour.

"I know they have this phrase, Big Brother, 'gives me the ick'. And that phrase itself gives me the ick."

Dylan nominates Farida, since she still doesn't know people's names after nearly a week. She gets his, Kerry's and Chanelle's names wrong.

Paul nominates Farida for being inconsistent in her aims from the show! Does she want to spread the word of Islam, or does she want other outcomes [presumably promoting her makeup tutorial YouTube]? Paul is here to "have a good time" and "be meself", and nominates Farida for being "fake".

How consciously is Paul casting himself as foundational winner Craig from BB1 here? Ever since that first series, Big Brother has struggled to move past the idea that good winners are direct, consistent salt-of-the-earth types, and villains are inconsistent and manipulative.

This bothers me, since I don't think directness IS a fundamental moral good at all times. I think it's FINE to have a moan about someone, while still being able to be friendly to the person in question. Where is the line between being two-faced and being tactful?

Olivia nominates Farida for helping herself to Olivia's salmon.

Noky nominates Kerry for negativity, both to people's faces and behind their backs.

Tom nominates Farida for talking AT him rather than conversing WITH him. He feels spoken over because of his age.

Jordan talks to Trish about sex and emotional connection, and I WISH we had a longer, less edited version of this conversation. We've only been left with Jordan's punchlines. Which are very funny, but I'd love to know what point he was making.

Tom speaks to Chanelle and Jenkin when he returns from the diary room, claiming that the process is "'eavy".

Fariday nominates Kerry for gossiping and having tantrums.

Jenkin is wearing a shirt with a pattern of birds, because his mam likes birds.

Jenkin nominates Farida because he thinks she's only here for money and fame, and is therefore taking the place of someone who wants to enjoy themselves and learn about themselves.

Kerry nominates Farida, for being hard work, selfish, and hard to like.

Kerry goes to have a lil cry after nominating.

I suspect Farida will go tonight. Both she and Kerry have done stuff the pulblic would find annoying, but we've also seen loads of Kerry's vulnerability.

Voting is free this year. Maybe that's why ITV is less bothered about getting nominations out early. Or maybe it's so the housemates spend less time tortured by the knowledge they face eviction? Bet it's that one, actually.

Since this version of the show is a lot nicer, it's really striking how intense the lights and music are when nominations are announced. Noky shakes with adrenaline.

Jenkin expected to be nominated because of his snoring.

Farida reckons youngsters have turned turned against the older members of the house. A bit rich given she nominated Kerry herself.

Interesting seeing Farida and Kerry bond over facing eviction, given that they nominated each other.

Farida tells Olivia off for smirking. Olivia is offended, because "I wasn't laughing at YOU!" But ... yes she was. Olivia's surprised to be told off not because she wasn't smirking at Farida, but because she didn't intend for Farida to notice. She was just smirking across the room at Paul.

She complains about this later to Paul, Jordan and Henry. And she comes so close to noticing that Farida was right - but she can't move past, "I didn't deserve to be criticised".

Just noticed there's a non-binary person in the sponsorship ads. Marcus Bentley using the word "themself", woo!

Ahh, you can vote for free, but only 5 times each.

Kerry speaks to Olivia about the issue with Farida. Kerry's basically on Olivia's side here. Hallie's attention is drawn, and she comes over to agree with Olivia. They're joined by Trish and Chanelle (neither of whom actually nominated Fariday), and we have the largest-scale bitching session we've seen so far.

This isn't really about Olivia. This is an excuse to vent. Maybe the nomination results have given people permission to talk openly about being annoyed by Farida.

Yinrun teaches Hallie some Chinese. She's shocked by Hallie's excellent pronunciation.

"We've got it on our profile we've been in the Big Brother house", says Farida. This show is primarily about boosting the profiles of influencers.

Kerry tries having a bonding conversation with Farida, and it ends up being a bit of an argument. Farida says, "I'm still the same person I came in here as" - an identity statement.

But Kerry takes it as an implied criticism. That Farida's saying "I'm the same UNLIKE YOU KERRY". But Farida's doing nothing of the sort. She's just making a statement about herself.

This is a common problem in conversation. You're talking to a friend, your partner, and they say something about themselves. This causes you to say something about YOURself - and now it sounds like you're claiming they're the opposite.

"I'm terrible at making new friends at parties," they might say.

And this inspires you to reflect on your own experience in parties.

"I love parties," you say, as you think of parties you've attended. "I always go expecting to have a good time, and end up talking to random people in the kitchen."

"I'm not saying I don't expect to have a good time," they say defensively.

Because in context, it sounds like you offered your personal experience as advice. Not merely, "this is what I do, "but "this is what YOU should do."

Farida tells Zak she doesn't blame him for protecting his friends. The implication here is that Zak nominated her or Kerry because they're older. In fact, Zak nominated Henry.

In any case, Kerry disagrees with the idea that it's young vs old in the house. "Callie's my mate, and she's the youngest!"

Farida's annoyed that Kerry isn't hearing her. "You're like, 'Callies my friend, Callie's my friend'."

"Her name's Hallie, and she is my friend."

Just a bit of fun here. Farida gets people's names wrong all the time. That's a thing. But Kerry did accidentally call her Callie first. An honest mistake, of course.

Argh, Farida brings up stories from her day job, where parents just want to be their children's friends, forgetting that they're the child.

Kerry's offended here, and - well, she's right to be! I don't think Farida realises how offensive that is to say, but it's clear she DOES see 18-year-old Hallie as a child, and 40-year-old Kerry as a sad case that wants to be friends with her.

Kerry: She's just said to me that the reason you lot like me is because you think I'm your mum! I'm shaking. I'm angry.

Olivia: I don't think of you as my mum. You just tell me when I'm out of order.

Kerry: Which is often.

Kerry thinks she's fated to go because Farida has her social media followers.

"No, cause just because someone follows you on social media doesn't mean they actually like you," says Olivia. Horrifying thought.

JJ2 update + event dialogue

The new update changed some things that I think were interesting, like the bot brain fights you in, changing from red to green. Just a couple of observations, plus event stuff, some of the conversations are unfinished because I only screenshoted what I thought was interesting.

Brains’s bot

The machine brains fights Barry at the end of Legitimate Research changed color, along with the legitimate logo being added. It was originally red, a better contrast to brains hair. But I think the color change happened because Red Photon’s final fight is also a red bot. Just to differentiate the boss fights.

The sticker album still has the red version, interestingly enough.

Big Stomper background

Before this update, the background for Stomper would be wherever you were before getting the vehicle token. Just the base background for whatever level you were in. This was the only vehicle without a distinct background, the Galaxy Ship had a space background, the Gravity Suit had a vapor wave background and Wild Wild Rex had a desert. After the update, the background is a trash yard outside of Legitimate Research.

I don’t know why, this really hit me how different this is to what we’ve seen of LR so far. It’s so gray and foggy in the background, looks like they’re burning coal and releasing the fumes. It just looks so sad to me, Barry crashing through their walls everyday hasn’t stopped the progress and destruction of LR. I’m thinking too far into this, but still just shocked me went I saw it the first time

Sometimes Rory will appear on one of the trash piles, just hanging out.

Sometimes SAM will appear behind the trash piles, broken and thrown away. I know every time Barry uses it, it eventually breaks, but this is telling us he’s not coming back this time.

Event Dialogue

This is the second piece of dialogue, the first being Craig telling Barry he’s gonna tell him some JJ facts and Barry asking if it’s to him or the player. These screenshots are missing Barry’s response to Craig, but it was similar to Betty’s.

There is a response from Robo-Barry that he wasn’t listening because he was on power saving mode.

I think this is all the dialogue for this. Also in the main game, the crying brains sprite is never used. I’d love if there was an event where we went to Betty’s universe, seems like it would be fun.

Craig says you can play JJ with one finger. Barry responds we’ve all done the tutorial, Craig.

Barry being Barry, what else do I have to say.

This is interesting because there is no Robo-Betty, unless she hasn’t been made yet or the talking toaster is Robo-Betty. If the former is true, this means their universes have more variation then just gender-bent characters.

He couldn’t have invented his money at before that time unless he is much older. This would also match up with Otto because it would be when he was a kid when he would start ripping his sleeves. He would have to be born in 1979 to be at least 18 during that year. Another option for this is his father invested the money and the gramophone business that his father was working at/already invested in, took Barry’s inheritance and invested it and told Barry they would be rich. This would make him being around 35 and we know Barry’s father isn’t the best dad.

•while they leave the park Kirby runs into Palkia's dimension and it says something about the wish park situation and that Kirby can do something about it

•Kirby and Bandee go to back to Cove Town to warn the other areas of Wish Park/keep investigating

•but the gates are locked because of the missing pokemon reports and they need to get the gatekeepers (Pon and Con) to open the Arbor Area gate

•Pon and Con challenge them to a battle, they win, and are let into the Arbor Area

•they find a poster portal but it's ripped, and Gooey is standing in front of it

•Gooey says that his friend (Dark Matter Swordsman (I'll call it Swordsman for now)) was leading pokemon into Wish Park but went back after realizing that Wish Park keeps the pokemon there forever and hasn't returned

•they go looking for the missing poster piece and run into Taranza in Verdent Court who had the missing piece and was using it as a paper for a area keeper meeting invite(?), he got desperate cuz it's an emergency meeting (Joronia (the Arbor Area Keeper) got kidnapped and taken to wish park but he doesn't know that yet)

•but he dropped it/the wind blew it out of his pedipalps (I don't know if galvanltulas can hold things like that) and it landed on a very small Island in the lake

•none of them can swim so they go back to Seasong Beach and ask Dedede if he can help

•he agrees to help (after a gormet race) and gets the piece from the island

•they put the piece back on the poster and open it, Dedede decides to go/stay with them

•they go to Wish Park (the Dance Zone) and find Swordsman, who's being mind controlled

•they battle it so it can snap out of it and go challenge the dance attraction run by Joronia who somehow became Sectonia (then Miracle Matter runs it after Sectonia's battle)

•then she blocks the way, they battle her, and run into Francisca, Flamberge and Zan

•they almost battle but the mage sisters decide that battling isn't worth it and lave so they ring the wish bell and dip

•Kirby runs into Dialga's dimension while leaving and drops some lore about the Dark Vortex/Void Termina/Hyness

•they go to the Craig Area and meet Elfilin (I should probably mention that by they I mean Kirby, Bandee, and Dedede, starting to get confused myself) he gives a hint to the password to get past Landia and into the fort

•they get it right (Courage and Kindness, same as cannon, for now, maybe) and are let in

•they meet Meta Knight at some point and ask to enter the tournament (he runs it)

•he says that they can if they get the Bravery Beard (I keep calling it the Braviary Beard help) so they do that

•they get to the Colosseum and the Beast Pack is competing in the tournament

•halfway through the tournament someone exposes the Beast Pack for leading pokemon into Wish Park

•then Leongar (the Crag Area's Keeper), shows up with Elfilin (in a cage) and reveal the poster portal in the areana

•one of them knocks out Meta Knight and the Beast Pack all leave through the portal

•Meta Knight joins the party, how? why? idk (maybe he joins (officially) after? idk)

•they go through the portal (after getting some pokémon together to help open it, happens with all poster portals)

•Zan, Leon, and Carol are there and Zan orders them to battle the Star Pals(?)

•they lose, Hyness shows up and asks if they want to join the Wish Park crew

•they say no and Hyness orders Zan to challenge the Star Pals to beat the power zone attraction

•they beat the attraction, and Forgo absorbs Elfilin and the star pals fight Elfilis to get Elfilin back, they win and get him back, ring the bell, and leave

•they do that, the bridge gets fixed, and after some talking they're let into the Unawarehouse

•they go in, find the Scientourion and see Star Dream escaping the Scientourium but they need it to power the elevator so they go after it

•they catch up to it and ask it to come back to elevator and it does

•they go into the Scientourium, run into Susie and Halttmann again and everybody starts asking questions ("You two again ?" "What did you think you were gonna find? The ultimate life form?" (idk where I was going joke, Elfilis/Lab Discovera ref?))

•Halttmann says something about him and Susie making the portals but not knowing what the Wish Park pokemon were doing with them ("Why would I destroy Poképark!? I live here!" (/ref)) and someone mentions something about the bells and if they don't ring constantly all dark energies/magics/ect can't be held back and that includes the void in the sky

•they try to get back to Wish Park but the wip portal is missing a piece so they go look for it, get it, and go to to Wish Park

•they walk up to the flight attraction (Zero runs it), they challenge it and win, Zero challenges them to a battle, they win and ring the wish bell (Zero might have a seccond stage (0², it absorbs light from Ripple Queen (a Diancie+Ribombee hybrid(?) ))

•then all the wish park pieces come together and the Wish Plalace portal shows up

•they go to Wish Palace, confront Hyness and the Mage Sisters, Bandee, Dedede, and Meta get their memories wiped, and Hyness knocks Kirby out (he uses hypnosis or something) and puts him in a nightmare where he's completely alone

•then someone (idk who cuz I don't have a Piplup role(yet)) gets Kirby to snap out of it

•he does and runs of to go bring the Star Pals back together

•He challenges Bandee to a battle, Dedede to a gourmet race, and does a tournament refight (feat. the Meta-Knights) to get Meta back (or a battle)

•they go back to the palace, battle Hyness, and win

Stick Truth in Southern Parks

Since I had to purchase a PSN Premium subscription, I noticed it included Ubisoft games.

I've grown negative feelings for Ubisoft for a variety of reasons ranging from their business practices to issues with their games and even their blatant abandonment of ips they decided wasn't profitable enough. Oh but they'll release another Assassin's Creed or reskin Far Cry for a 7th time.

Anyhow, I figured I'd attempt to stream a Ubisoft game and chose South Park the Stick of Truth.

Unfortunately, I over estimated the "service" and found the game stream would glitch over far too often to count. This in turn caused my playthough to not read numerous actions I put in. Which would cause my party to lose large chunks of health.

It wasn't bad enough to make the game unplayable but it did cause the trophies to not register.

I managed to collect all the ending trophies in a couple playthoughs. I had Kenny die 10 times in the first one after accidentally forgetting to revive Butters once. I had also forgotten to do the "Inside Joke" trophy so I had to accomplish that in the second playthough.

You'd think two playthroughs would be enough, and you'd normally be correct. However, I ended up missing a few collectables that could not be retraced so I had to go back and restart everything from the beginning. Mainly to make sure the stream registered Clyde (or was it Craig?) as a friend because he's apparently essential even though he's on the friend list only for the tutorial.

So I had to playthough the game two more times because I kept missing *something* that was missable.

Eventually, I got everything. All the weapons and armor and boot leg pokemon and all 120 friends including Clyde.

The collectable were pretty bad when you miss them but the stream constantly breaking made it much worse. If it wasn't in combat, it'd do it when I talk to people (which is how you get friends) or when I pickup a collectable. My time in South Park was excruciating.

I think if I ever dare to attempt to play another Ubisoft game with PSN, I am going to ensure that it as downloaded and avoid streaming because it clearly does not work.

Results - Partial Success

Before tackling the average drying time, I decided to see if there was a better way to get the cinnamon on the apples than just sprinkling them on. The sprinkling hurt my wrist if I did it for too long, so there had to have been a better option. I stayed with the same Cosmic Crisp apples and Medium size slice (1/8in or .32cm), as well as deciding to stick to a drying time of around 7.5 hours.

I had generally no idea where to begin with this experiment. Obviously I would try the sprinkled over cinnamon and no cinnamon, but other than that I was mostly stumped.

I ended up settling on sprinkling and rubbing it in, finding a sieve and sprinkling it on that way, and basting the apples. I had no idea if these were going to work, but I thought it was worth a try.

I made sure to set Craig to the correct temperature this time, and let my apples go. For the 7.5 hours it took for Craig to dry them, I sat nearby and thought about basting some of the apples and the decisions in my life that led me to the point where I would be doing that.

Sprinkled Cinnamon Over - Same as it always was. Decent amount of coverage and not overwhelming texture. Seems to be better the higher up I held my wrist, but had the side effect of blowing away a little bit with the air from the AC unit. 5/10

No Cinnamon - Surprisingly good. Hard to go wrong with dried apples, but I've done it. Did only taste of apples and didn't have the familiar brown dusting to it. Very easy to keep consistent because I didn't have to do anything to them. Good to know how it ended up but will not be moving forward with them. 4/10

Sprinkled Cinnamon Over and Rubbed in - This was a textural nightmare. The apples started getting brown before I had finished all the rubbing. Also, rubbing apples? Bad! Decent amount of coverage and not overwhelming texture (when eating), but only because they are basically the Sprinkled Cinnamon Over option! 3/10

Sieve'd - The holes on the sieve were too big, which basically made it look like I had accidentally spilled the entire container of cinnamon on an apple slice and wiped off what I could. Unfortunately, that is almost exactly what happened. The texture was bad. The texture was very bad. I couldn't taste the apple at all. Has the potential to be better, if I find a sieve with smaller holes. 1/10

Basted - Why did I do this. This wasn't a worse experience than the lemon demon from Log #00001, but oh god, the feeling of basting an apple, one 1/8 inch (.32cm) slice at a time really makes you question some things. What was I doing here? What led me to this point? Why am I basting an apple? The simple reason lies in the fact that when I searched "how to put stuff on things" in my favorite searchbar, all I got was Minecraft tutorials and lyrics from a They Might Be Giants song from 2013, so I had to lean on my imagination. Distribution was incredibly varied and the apples didn't dry all the way through. Probably because I basted them. Potentially could be better if I let them dry for longer. 1/10

If it ain't broke, don't fix it, I guess. I'll be sticking with the Sprinkled Over option for the foreseeable future.

Supplemental: What is Stuff Is Way even about? It's just a bunch of nonsense. Is it supposed to be? Whatever the case, the song is in my head now. Also, I'm never basting a fuckin apple again. Eugh.

as a sewist, i feel inclined to weigh in.

sewing can definitely be a cost-prohibitive hobby in some respects, but there are ways to make clothes and repair clothes on the cheap.

if you're looking for a machine, i would tell you to check thrift stores and Craig's List (or other equivalent). There are great machines being sold in both places that usually are less than $100 if you're not looking for a fancy industrial/historical machine.

it's highly recommended that you get your machine serviced if you're buying it used (unless the person selling it has recently had it serviced), because sewing machines do need to be serviced regularly to run well. if you're sewing less than a few hours per week, you can probably go 2 years in btwn each service. if you're sewing a lot, once a year is recommended. here in phoenix, the average cost of getting your machine serviced is ~$80-150, depending on what needs to be done and where you go.

that being said, i ran my old plastic brother machine for over a decade without getting it serviced. you can do it, but it's nto recommended if you want the machine to last.

whatever machine you get, odds are you can find videos of someone teaching you how to use that machine, how to sew different stitches with the machine, how to do basic maintenance on it, etc.

fabric is by far the most expensive part of sewing. new off-the-bolt fabric can run anywhere from $6/yard for reeally thin cheap stuff, all the way up to $60/yard for better quality/nicer prints. however, i've spent most of my sewing years buying fabric from thrift stores. almost every thrift store has remnants that you can buy for way less than a fabric store. you can also buy sheets or table cloths or other larger pieces of fabric from a thrift store to save even more money.

i bought a long-staple sheet set from a Savers a few months back (so pillow cases, flat sheet, fitted sheet) and was able to get about 5 pairs of pants out of them (and i'm not super small).

you can also find a lot of sewing accessories/notions at thrift stores. i came across a bag of zippers a few years ago, and i'm still working through the zippers that i purchased (for like.. $7).

as for patterns, you can find patterns for cheap at a lot of thrift stores. downside is that they are often cut into already, but you can find tutorials online on how to size a pattern up or down to fit your needs. there are soooooooo many videos/tutorials online about how to change the fit of a garment, how to make it fit particular body types, etc. and there is always the library, because sewing books do exist and they can be a great resource if you can get ahold of them.

when i started, i made very simple clothes that i could take some measurements from myself to get the general size of what i needed, and i still wear many of those clothes today. don't be afraid of making your own patterns, there are resources online to do so.

as OP has stated, you can definitely sew by hand. it's a good skill to have, esp because you can repair and modify clothes that you already have to fit your body better, or help them to last longer.

but definitely remember that if you're getting into this hobby: thrift stores and secondhand are your friends! you don't need higher end stuff unless you're doing this for a living.

Maybe it's less "no one knows how to hem" and more not everyone has access to a thousand dollar machine that requires a significant knowledge just to set up and operate without injuring yourself.
