Hi! I’m Bug, I’m a mentally ill emo artist and fic author. This is where I put my nonsense for you internet ppl to look at.

I’m transmasc, currently identifying as xenogender, and I use he/xey/it/they pronouns. Mutuals, and only mutuals, can use my other neos, blood/bleed and gore/gory. I’m solian/mspec veldian, fictoromantic, and fictosexual. Please respect that!!

Currently, I’m into Hollow Knight, the Kirby series, A Hat in Time, Bug Fables, Cult of the Lamb, Rain World, and Fate/Zero. Do be warned, though, I can fall out of these fandoms at any time — my interests are almost always fluctuating.

Rules & Guidelines

The goal of this event is sharing and enjoying trans headcanons, so, to participate, you should create content of trans carryonverse / World of Mages characters!

Tag your posts with #transmagesweek and, if you want to make sure we see your entry, tag us (@transmagesweek) in your post! Also, add any fanfiction works you create on Ao3 to our official Ao3 Collection!

Create as much or as little as you want! You can participate every day or post only once or twice – it’s completely up to you! And you don’t need to follow the prompts, they’re just suggestions!

All kinds of fan creations (art, writing, songs, edits, cosplay, etc) are allowed! No restrictions! Create whatever you want, however you want! Be creative!

FAQ

“Can I make content for ‘X Character’ as trans?” Yes! This is exactly what we want for this week! But you can also share general headcanons about trans people in the World of Mages universe, however you want to!

“Do my headcanons have to be about binary trans characters only?” Not at all! We accept all trans / non-cis identities here, binary or nonbinary! Any and all headcanons are encouraged! And xenogender headcanons are also included :D

“Can I make canonically female characters transmasculine / canonically male characters transfeminine?” Yes, you can! Just please don’t fall into simply genderbending, as genderbents are not allowed in this event! Also, if you don’t mind, tag these accordingly (eg: #transfem simon snow, #transmasc agatha wellbelove, etc), as they could be misinterpreted as genderswaps and as a general concept might make some people uncomfortable! And, please, it would be best if the creators try their best to avoid erasing any canon representativity.

“Can I create ship content?” Definitely! Transcentered ship headcanons also deserve to shine on this event! And you can also create platonic / queerplatonic content for pairings, of course, not only romantic!

“Can I make content based on crossovers/AUs?” Go for it!

“Can I participate if I’m cis?” If you’re cis and would like to contribute to this event, feel free to! However, please also be aware of harmful stereotypes in depicting trans individuals, and consider talking to trans people you know about your ideas and depictions. Our DMs are also always open if you need someone to evaluate your content or beta anything!

Please respect other people's headcanons! If you don’t like a headcanon, just ignore it or mute it.

We’ll be asking everyone to tag your specific headcanons (eg: #transmasc simon snow, #nonbinary penelope bunce, #transfem baz pitch, etc), so if anybody wants to mute a headcanon, they won’t come across it in the transmages week tag or in our reblogs!

This is a SFW challenge. We won’t be accepting any sexual content, and other heavy themes must be tagged (and generally avoided, if possible!)

Don’t participate if you’re a transphobe. (Duh!)

Even though our focus is positive content, we understand that people may find it relevant to create content with some experiences that may be negative or triggering. With that in mind:

Please be aware that some trans experiences (eg: transphobia, body dysphoria, misgendering, etc) may be very triggering for others. You’re free to create works with difficult themes, but please be considerate and always put trigger warnings and content warnings on the post itself and its tags! We won’t be reblogging such sensitive content without the proper warnings. Also, please tag violence, blood, and other general triggers.

We won’t be accepting any kind of content that shares the character’s deadname or has scenes where someone openly deadnames them mentioning their deadname explicitly. If you wish to include deadnaming in your work, please refrain from mentioning the deadname itself, and tag it accordingly.

We reserve the right not to reblog any works that we feel contradict these guidelines, as we want to make this event welcoming for as many people as possible.
