Bridgerton: Season 3 Lookbook

Season 3 of Netflix's Bridgerton continues to take place in the competitive world of Regency era London's ton during the season when debutantes are presented at court. Season 1 focused on Daphne Bridgerton, Season 2 focused on Anthony Bridgerton, and this season, Francesca Bridgerton debuts on the ton.  However, the season really focuses on friends-to-lovers Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington.

The Duchess of Feldsbury's wardrobe has changed much since the 1920s. It is still very fashionable and elegant, but some changes to her hair and style reflect her changing role as a mother and as a duchess, which she has taken a larger role in. It also reflects a more modest look as 1930s fashion took more of a feminine and conservative style, reacting to the flappers of the 20s, and wealthy women emphasized luxury in light of a global depression. I know this is my first lookbook of the 1930s, but hey it's one of my favorites.

Doyle Legacy 1890s - 1900s LOOKBOOK

Helena Doyle Harrington 1890s - 1900s

Babies first Lookbook!😀

Helena's upbringing was marked by poverty, stemming from the loss of her mother. This hardship led her to turn to prostitution for survival. However, her future husband Eddy, rescued her from a dangerous encounter with a violent client, allowing her to leave that life behind.

Together, they transformed an abandoned hunting shed into a functioning farm for their family.

Known affectionately as "Dove," Which is a pet name given to her since she worked as a painted lady. The color red became symbol for Helena since she adopted it as her signature, using the color to accentuate her vibrant hair and attract clientele during her time in the sex work industry.

Even after transitioning from a sex worker to a devoted wife I kept that color in mind each time she got an updated wardrobe.

The Harringtons lived poorly which is also why some of Helena's outfits seem out of date for time, she utilized her knowledge of previous decades sewing patterns to make clothes for herself.

I used up every outfit slot in CAS and I'd rather not overwhelm myself so instead I chose my favorites to share!

Young Miss Cassandra Goth really ought to be courted soon – as the most eligible lady in Willow Creek, she practically has suitors lining up outside her window! But she prefers to lounge in her Mama's old dressing gowns and work on her musical compositions. Little Mister Alexander is a right young genius – why, he's already mastered Latin and is a genius at mathematics, just like his Papa. Ringing in the golden age of the roaring twenties is our heiress Miss Zelda Darlington. There is some continuity with her older lookbooks, mostly in her silhouette and color choices. As hemlines reach their shortest in the mid 20s, Zelda’s dresses still remain relatively conservative given her career as a nightclub singer and her free-spirited lifestyle. She still prefers blues and warm tones of yellow and orange, but the hues of these colors have grown brighter and bolder, as she herself becomes more confident.

Of course the biggest difference to her earlier lookbooks is her hair. Symbolic of her deeper anxieties toward life, Zelda’s long hair has been cut into a classic 20s bob. She usually styles it in simple waves, but it is often also seen unkempt when she spends her days at home with Antoine.

There is also much more ornamentation and flashiness than any of her earlier lookbooks. We see this particularly in her headbands, which she wears to highlight her short hair. However, her jewelry of choice still remains a string of pearls, harkening back to her innocence. With some outfits, she even continues to wear her sister Rosella’s ring, signifying that no matter how much she has changed, Zelda still remains deeply tied to her past.

1910s Deco Sims

The female one was originally a commission that I did, which then kind of fell through because the blog deactivated. So, a lot of time later, I want to share them with you all. They come in tons of swatches (which I normally wouldn't do anymore today), but i did it for the male, so that they match.

If you remember, the idea was to do a big dump of deco sims for Christmas, and then for January. The project however kind of got out of control, as did my time management. So I decided to aim for two uploads per month for this year instead: One that is either a dress, other clothing or hair, and the other one is deco sims from different eras.

When it came to brainstorming inspiration for a time travelling Don there was one and only inevitability - history's most certified lover boy, Casanova. Giacomo Casanova was an 18th century adventurer, author and notorious womaniser, so it was the perfect fit!

Free Palestine: Lookbook & Donation Links

I've been losing my mind watching western media and governments ignore, spread propaganda and worst of all: sponsor the genocide of Palestinians the last eight months; I can't even fathom what it must be like to live in Gaza or the West Bank. I am ashamed to admit I was ignorant to a lot of the world's atrocities until October 2023. Since then,  I've learned so much about Palestine and the apartheid settler-colony that is "Israel". The myth that Israel is essential to Jewish safety is so embedded in western culture that for 76 years the world has continued to turn a blind eye to (or finance) so many horrors inflicted by Israeli settlers on the Palestinian people. I've lost track of the amount of burnt and/or dismembered bodies I've seen from bombs my taxes pay for. I cannot understand how people are not radicalized by all this barbarity. 

I've been contributing to people in Gaza's GoFundMe campaigns when I can and I want to include some donation links here, please contribute if you are able. Even a little goes a long way towards food and hopefully, eventually, safe passage to Egypt.

Help Ahmad & His Family Evacuate Gaza | Palestine Children's Relief Fund | Operation Olive Branch

This lookbook is inspired by Palestinian people. I tried to include both traditional attire with the closest thing I could find to Palestinian thobes with tatreez embroidery, along with turbans and hijabs, as well as those who dress more modern/not hijabi. I also tried to include as many keffiyehs as I could, and obviously, some watermelons. 🍉 I would have rather used a more pleasant background, but thought an image of the destruction of Khan Yunis would be more impactful. 💔

Anyway, free Palestine until it's backwards and viva la resistance!

While Giselle does not wear her most extravagant designs, she takes great care in her appearance, both bright and feminine. She has managed to save her fashion house in light of the Great Depression and has begun her foray into costume design for theater and film, her wealthy clientele shifting from aristocrats and heiresses to actresses, singers, and socialites from industrial businesses. She keeps her styles to the latest fashions and what she believes will be fashionable.

It wasn’t too big of a surprise when Miss Myra Beckett left her Papa’s tobacco farm following her twenty-fourth birthday. Mister Myron Beckett always said his daughter was an independent spirit, and her Mama — may God rest her soul — always said she was too much trouble to ever marry. Nowadays, Myra lives in New York with her closest companion, an up-and-coming artist called Rosetta Nelson. Postcards sent to the remaining Beckett children say that Myra acts now, and has found more solid employment in a library.
