I understand why people tend to draw Luke a bit more tan because he's outside a lot for missions and just in general, but canonically he's pale (and Rosa jokes around about his paleness in the 1st chapter of the main story). I had this thought that pale people burn really easily and need lots of sunscreen. So my brain told me that the first time Aaron saw Luke as red as a lobster because he got sunburnt even though Luke said that "he doesn't need sunscreen", Aaron goes full on parent mode and starts making sure that Luke always puts on sunscreen (against his will).

THIS IS SO CUTE UEHHH i am endlessly endeared by luke pearce, Rugged Man Extraordinaire, being vulnerable by the common inconvenience of sunburn

of course he says he doesnt need sunscreen. sunscreen is in one way or another a form of self care and luke??? caring about HIMSELF?? AND HIS WELL BEING???? unthinkable. KLBSDKJFBDJS

The cafe event has gotten me into a polynxx mood lately... Just them getting along together, them praising Vyn for his desserts, Marius who keeps asking for Artem's meals, Vyn & Luke making their dishes match eachother like dear god and them just making sure that Rosa is alright while she's walking all over the place as a waitress!!! Your honor, this is my silly polyamorous investigation group!!!

I'm just finding sm comfort in thinking about them right now spending lots of time together and I can't help but get a stupidly big grin on my face.

Bc they're together a lot (not only in the event but as a team in general) I wonder whether they start noticing eachother's weird or silly little habits (i.e. pretending that they're interrogating and waterboarding someone while pushing dirty dishes down into some soapy water). Or even nice little things they do for eachother (i.e. something like peeling an orange for someone while they're on break).

hi hi creckar!!! and gosh mood about this whole event, im enjoying it so much and it's definitely giving me polyam nxx vibes too hHHHHHHHHH. the entire intro scene was so lighthearted entertaining but also so sweet (im never getting over marius calling the others his friends, THEYRE FRIENDS, YOUR HONOR!!!!) and that bit with artem openly praising vyn's cooking and vyn responding by laughing oh my gosh my heart fluttered, THESE PEOPLE ENJOY EACH OTHER'S COMPANY I LOVE THEM AND THEY ALL LOVE EACH OTHER AND //puts on shipping goggles, ARE ALSO IN LOVE WITH EACH OTHER

speaking of being in love with stuff, im in love with ur hc in this ask. they so totally would notice each other's habits because 1) aforementioned THEY CARE ABT EACH OTHER SO MUCH and 2) theyre all just naturally very perceptive people, in regards to how much they can realize and note about others.

little things like how mc writes down orders in a certain manner on her notepad, or how luke hums to himself when hes making drinks, or how artem gets this focused glint in his eyes whenever hes in the zone cooking, or how vyn uses his lunch break to take a nap first and foremost before having a munch, or the irony of marius loving ice cream but being very susceptible to brainfreezes. all these little details compound and are noticed, but in a very casual way. it's like getting to know more about each other without even having to speak or talk. im sure once this cafe thing is over, they both know more than they realize about the other team members

i also like to think that some habits get Adopted. like yknow how when people are close, they adopt some habits or quirks of the ones theyre close with? yeah now everybodys little quirks are The NXX Team's Collective Quirks. our quirks now. so sometimes you'll find vyn humming when hes working, or artem trying out mc's notetaking system. sadly, nobody can take the burden of marius' brainfreezes for him though

all in all, im super loving this event, it's so cozy and cute and fun!!! now if only luke's SR card would reveal itself to me early, thatd really make this event perfect.....LHSVFLSD

Sorry to bring up a semi-old topic, but I've been thinking abt the ages a lot since we confirmed Luke's date of birth. Which led me to think that if it is july/august of 2030 when we meet him again, his age at the time would actually only be 23 and not 24 yet. Which leads me to think that the ages that they were introduced as in character introductions on the Tears of Themis site or in the Big Data Lab are just the ages they'd be at the end of the year. Even though it wouldn't really make a lot of sense for the Big Data Lab to use the age he'd be at the end of the year, I really can't imagine another plausible reason for the ages being what they are in the while keeping his december 2006 birthday (unless they start counting from being 1 year old at birth).

If we apply the prior theory of the ages in introductions being what they would be at the end of the year, then Artem and Marius would still be 29 and 21 respectively when we "met"/were introduced to them. Meanwhile Vyn and Luke would be 26 and 23.

oh i am once again exposed for not doing any mental math and just accepting the numbers as it is kJBKLJSFBJKDSF. this makes sense though, given luke's canonical DOB!!

I'm Luke Pearce core. (I wear ugly clothing and convince myself it looks good, will keep on wearing clothes that are falling apart and have holes in them purely because I still like the clothes, am madly in love with Rosa, call my cat a fat boy (even though for Luke it's peanut), keep on biting on anything and everything like pens and bottle caps, once made pudding and proceeded to accidentally spill part of it on the floor which gave me the realization that it looked more like v0mit than pudding, have not missed a single day of secondary school even when sick because I refuse to be weak, and have walked into doors, people, etc. several times like a girlfailure because I'm too busy thinking about my special interests to look around at my surroundings)

I am currently very obsessed with Orchidshine Friends (a name my friend came up with for the lil Marius friendgroup aka Marius, Giann, Ailine and Kenji). I need to spread the word about them. I've got tons of content of them in my head but I'm just so damn busy that I can't make any content and it's killing me.

There's just something about childhood sweethearts + their thirdwheeling best friend + the annoyingly cute and bratty younger brother (affectionate). I just love the idea of them playing together so much.

Of course we'd have the Von Hagen brothers being the best but also stuff like little Marius telling Ailine all of Giann's secrets. Or Kenji just being an older brother figure to Marius. Kenji and Giann being best friends. Also the unlikely friendship between Ailine and Kenji. I just know they'd be the cutest little squad.

I'm a big fan of the ftm trans Luke hc and I wondered when you'd think he found out and when he actually transitioned?

Personally, I love the idea of Luke confiding in Rosa about his identity when they were teens and Rosa trying her best to help him by doing small things to help him affirm his gender. (Like give him a boyish haircut or something along those lines)

But I also really like the idea of Luke going undercover as a man for an NSB mission and suddenly realizing like "Wait a minute..."

trans!luke is especially dear to me because 50% because i myself projecting heavily onto him in this hc, and 50% because his canon arc of self hatred slowly changing and leading him to eventual self love and affirmation for his own joys is something i believe to also be a beautiful trans experience

i actually wrote a whole trans!luke fic on ao3 you can read it here, "but little do we know, the stars welcome him with open arms"

and in this fic, i wrote most of my fuller hcs on trans!luke. so here, wrote him finding out he was trans and transitioned while he was at university in central. so, he found out when he was away and also during a period of life which classically is one of individual self discovery. but he found out when he was away from mc, away from his closest friend and confidant. and he doesnt tell her. he doesnt tell her because shortly after, he gets caught up in the nsb and suddenly all the things he hasnt told her start piling up and up and up. and while i dont go into detail of how he found out, i put more focus on how he internalizes his transness as another one of those secrets to keep from her, but of course, he cant keep them forever, because he returns to stellis and meets her again, as who he is...

...and i wrote it this way because i wanted their reunion of "oh youre the you i know but different but still very much the you i know and love" i wanted mc to both re-meet luke pearce yet accept and recognize him as the luke pearce he is now

(recognize is in italics because recognition is a big theme in the fic. im explaining it badly but shdfvsdfdsfljb just read the fic, itll make more sense there i promise)

him finding out on a mission like that is so top tier though. i'd love to read a fic about luke, still an egg, being like "hey why does being undercover as a guy not only feel immensely natural but also like im finally being myself after years.............WAIT A SECOND" HVSDFLFSJD

Kind of spoilers for the 2nd log of the lukeout fire event

This log was peak male performance. Just a hungry guy being silly with his fiancée. I love it when any of the characters are being needy or whiny bc it's like yeah!!! You deserve to be pampered and loved!!! And you are!!! Especially with Luke that theme hits rlly hard to me. It's also part of why I love polynxx so much. The idea of being loved even when you're not perfect is just so dear to me. Like being a bit needy or imperfect or even being flawed isn't something to make them not love you anymore. Because in the end everyone is just human. I'm like totally going off topic rn I'm so sorry whenever I talk about something, my brain defaults to going back to polynxx.

I was talking to someone abt how my cat always meows in front of my bedroom door because he wants to be let inside (even when I'm not in my room). i definitely have not forgotten about "how to care for your dear friend who is currently stuck in his magical serpent form", this WIP is very dear to me and ive mumbled a bit on twitter abt how i wanna turn marius back into a human and finish that fic once and for all with its 4th chapter before 2022 ends (an entire year-wait for probably de-noodle-ification and soul repair jahvsfkjahsfa) but...im very...Very Very hesitant....to make any promises whatsoever on my fic writing progress and schedule. like ajhsvfkajhsfvaks at this point, i just dont talk abt what im writing anymore bc i never stick to schedule anyway so. it will be as much as a surprise to me as it is to readers when my WIPs will update!!
