Gecko Fact of the Day ✨️
Most geckos don't have eyelids! Instead, we have tiny protective scales that need to be licked off occasionally.
Also! While most geckos are nocturnal, all geckos have vertical pupils that can overlap to a tiny slit, letting in only a pinprick of light.
This protects their eyes from harsh lights, even though they can't close their eyes!

‼️IMPORTANT‼️
Realized the tiny crown from a board game I have would be perfectly Space Cowboy sized. My collection of pics of my pets in hats grows.

Uh oh he misfired!!
For anyone who doesnt get it, crested geckos can change colour by 'firing up' or 'firing down' which makes their colours darker or lighter respectively. Misfiring is when only certain parts of their bodies fire up while the rest of them remains the same. @tailsandco said the term reminded her of a cartoonish shotgun blast and thus this drawing came to be!

Told my friend that I’ve always wanted to get a really good photograph of a lizard licking its eye because it’s one of the cutest things they do and she was like oh my god I have the perfect gecko for that let’s make it happen. The model was a true professional and she obviously understood my vision
