went through some of my twitter archive today looking for something, didn't find it but I did find all of these which I'm pretty sure I didn't post here?? 🤔🤔🤔
I can just walk into my kitchen/dining room whenever I want and look at this little guy and listen to the soft music playing and it makes me laugh out loud randomly for the rest of the day just by remembering it.
I’m slowly easing back into playing Animal Crossing New Horizons every now and then, here’s my dearly beloved AC home! Hasn’t really changed in years but it clearly doesn’t need to, as you’ll see :D
The main room! Mostly meant to be a shallow reef-like area of the seafloor, though I wanted to have some hydrothermal vent inspiration with the hot bath. Don’t ask me why the vents would be in the shallows shhh. Marine Song 2001 plays here!
The upstairs, the surface of the water! Changes with the seasons, here’s the cold season and warm season variants. Comrade K.K. plays here!
The basement! Naturally the deep sea. K.K. Swing plays here. Added some Crumploids in the mix because I wanted some eerie crunching sounds too, like there’s a whale carcass being devoured somewhere in the dark.
To the left from the main room, a sunken city with lost treasure (perhaps this room could use the blue lighting too, hmm..)! Cafe K.K plays here.
Finally, the room at the back of the main room. I call this “fish birthday” room, it started out as an ominous room you could only access through the Mario pipes when they were added (my sister had pipes as a shortcut and I wanted to prank her a bit) but now the room is always accessible. This is where I put all my fish models I don’t know where else to place. Naturally, K.K. Birthday plays here.
What's your favorite soap appearance/colors/design-wise? Alternatively, if you had to pick your top 3 to showcase, which 3 would you choose?
OOFA DOOFA that's hard. I'm very fond of soaps that use the technique 'one pot wonder'?? (some examples include wind master and Izzy hands (shown below.) also the secret feather swirl (see: nie huaisang) but also! soaps that just have a silly lil face in 'em HAHAHA (crumploid)
For the record, I tried putting this little dude in a couple of different fireplaces. I think that the Turkey Day one is funniest, though, because it looks like they're more solidly amongst the flaming pieces of wood, though the heavy iron bars locking them into the regular fireplace are pretty good.
The trick, if you want to roast any gyroids yourself, is that I'm placing the gyroid as a wall item (you can see the little shelf they're on in the second picture, clipping through the firewood, another reason why I don't like that one as much), then putting the fireplace on the floor up against the wall.
Still, I like to think that they can, and do, feel pain. INCREDIBLE pain.
