My associate (Eugene) and the critic didn't like my first band very much, I dropped all the talented gyroids I know and just used Tockoids, because I am obsessed with them-
Okay, I think I've Got This Gyroid Thing Figured Out
So, I think gyroids are split into 3 groups (and 1 subgroup):
Rhythmic: Follows the rhythm/percussion of a song. Will not play over any other gyroid in this group, including itself (sorry, you can’t make the wallopoids fight each other).
Aluminoid
Dootoid
Drummoid
Wallopoid
Whirroid
Harmonic: Will harmonize with the song, seemingly singing along with it. Will also harmonize with each other.
Arfoid
Babbloid
Bubbloid
Bwongoid
Crumploid
Laseroid
Oinkoid
Petaloid
Ringoind
Rumbloid
Squeakoid
Squeezoid
Tockoid
Tremoloid
Twangoid
Whistloid
Xylophoid
Noisemakers: They're following a pattern, but I can't tell what it is. Their purpose seems to be to just make noise. Will harmonize with each other.
Boioingoid
Brewstoid
Jingloid
Rattleoid
Stelloid
Pseudo Noisemakers: They follow the same pattern as the harmonic gyroids, but their minimal tone/pitch change makes them come across as noisemakers. Could reasonably be called, “active noisemakers.”
Put on Marine Song 2001 aka Kapp’n’s Song in this room with a Tockoid, Bwongoid and Clatteroid and really, really liked the effect? I sat here for like 5 minutes just listening.
