We're celebrating (or mourning, depending on who you are) our crusties moving on to greener pastures and meeting up in our current forms one last time! Bring your crustiest outfit and horse - or mask your character's crustiness as best you can. Dress for the party of a lifetime - or dress for a funeral. Embrace the crust one last time - or look towards the bright, high-poly-count future.

Part 2: Hello, New Me! (...because something this historical simply must be celebrated with a little more extravagance than a single meetup can offer.)

Eden Headcanons because Eden good

Eden likes stuffed crust pizza.

Eden knows how to count in Roman numerals.

Eden uses embarrassing secrets as blackmail to get people to do things with her (not FOR her), like with Teruko in Ch2E3. They’re never anything too bad or personal, and she never does it for her own gain.

Eden is a big fan of the Kirby franchise. She just loves all the cute designs for the characters and the surprising lore behind the games. 

She has plushies of Kirby, Bandana Waddle Dee, Magolor, and Susie.

She’s considering making a clock based off the NOVA.

She was absolutely heartbroken by Kirby’s Return to Dream Land’s Final Boss.

Eden is also a fan the The Owl House.

She wants an outfit like Luz’s season 2b clothes. Or Vee’s clothes. 

Eden has a TeeTurtle™ reversible octopus plushie. It has a happy yellow side and an angry red side. She loves it.

Eden has considered making wristwatches.

It took Eden a long time to perfect her bowtie hairstyle. Some of her classmates suspected it was a clip-on, and were promptly surprised one day when Eden had her long hair down (she was lazy that day).

Eden owns a tuxedo and absolutely ROCKS it.

Eden has no problem with swearing— Her speech habits just don’t incorporate it often.

This first time she swore in front of her classmates was just a casual F-Bomb during breakfast. She was confused as to why they were giving her horrified stares.

Eden saying she has a good sense of time is an understatement. She is ALWAYS on time for everything— assignment due dates, meetups with friends, nothing will see her running late.

For example, if she goes to take a two hour nap, she will close her eyes and open them EXACTLY 7200 seconds later. It’s like she has a clock ticking in her head.

Eden likes to talk about stories about her time in high school, especially if they involve her childhood friends.

This is the complete opposite case for middle school… She doesn’t like to talk about middle school for some reason, especially if it involves her childhood friends.

Eden has an utterly terrifying angry face. Someone has to push her buttons real hard to get her to make that face, but once she does, they’ll try to get back on her good side as quickly as possible.

Eden has made clocks that represent the hobbies and personalities of different people she cares about. She gives these clocks out to these people as presents, and is considering making clocks for her classmates. (And by considering, I mean she’s already made one for Min, Teruko, Hu, and |\/|/-\|)

Happy new year all. I just want to thank all of you here for being so welcoming and accepting, it truly was the highlight of my year meeting you all at the crust meetup and un-crust meetup. I look forward to what next year holds for the ssoblr community.

unfortunately as I've mentioned my computer is having a hard time with sso currently, so i couldn't participate in some bits. but where I was able to join it was absolutely incredible! so many people - members of ssoblr or not - joined in :D

And I believe we got some new people to join the community as well, which was awesome. we had to much fun that others just had to see what the hellsite community had to offer >:) one of us one of us.......... a warm welcome to ssoblr for you guys

I look forward to seeing you all again for pt.2 of the meetup and meeting all your shiny new characters !!! thank you for such a lovely experience <33 I love you ssoblr

I used to enjoy posting about food, and I really enjoy food, so why not give it another go.

Let’s take a journey through my recent* culinary adventures in the United States, at a work meet up in Denver.

First up the best one, vegan Mac n Cheese with buffalo seitan in a wrap. Decadent.

Hotel room back up supplies. Snack life stops for no meetup.

I pride myself on my scrambled eggs. These did not compete. And while the ramekin is cute, sadly this frittata was equally lacklustre, and the potatoes underdone. Star of this breakfast was the poppyseed muffin. I must grow more of them next year so I have enough to eat!

Let’s not forget my favourite American delicacy, Hot Brown. It would be remiss to call it coffee, yet I had multiple cups per day. When in Rome…

This was quite good actually. The dim sum selection was reasonable, the Barramundi was well cooked and the salads tasty.

Another winner, the Mediterranean themed selection. Sea bass, chickpea and artichoke casserole, pita with hummus, olives… delicious.

Baba would be horrified. Why did they not form their deruni? Look, they were tasty enough, and without toast I get pretty carb-hangry so they were a welcome addition. The bacon was unexpectedly spicy, with a peppered crust.

Turkey wrap, pasta salad. This was fine. I dunno. Catering is a weird thing.

B: Any of your stories inspired by personal experience?

Oh goodness yea. So much of my dialogue and interaction is literally things that happen often between me and my husband xD also a lot of the queer longing i put into these fics is rooted very firmly in reality lbr.

F: Share a snippet from one of your favorite dialogue scenes you’ve written and explain why you’re proud of it.

I'd have to go with this bit from the Youth Pastor/Bad Boy reverse omens au that I've been working on where they're just settling into their burgeoning friendship and go out for pizza:

“But, if I can wax poetic about this ‘basic pepperoni’, you have to try my ridiculous concoction of a pizza.” Gadriel smiled mischievously at him, continuing to finish his slice, “I was already going to do that, but deal.” Ezra took a bite of the pepperoni, enjoying it the same way he had enjoyed his own slice. “The crust still stands, the semolina flour giving a smooth finish while the cornmeal makes for a nice crunch. The inclusion of cheddar-jack along with the mozzarella makes for a lovely combination of sharp and mild that dances along the palate. The pepperonis are perfectly cupped, holding just enough grease to cut through the acidity of the marinara, which given the rustic texture of the tomatoes and the garlic clove I believe must be made in house, rather than purchased and used from a can. Incredible, five stars.” Gadriel chuckled. “I can’t believe you just did that, has anyone told you that you are incredibly pretentious?” “I’m not pretentious, I just know good food when I taste it,” Ezra said with a huff. “I dunno,” Gadriel drawled sarcastically, “I think maybe someone isn’t quite as down to earth as they want everyone to think.” “Says the man who drinks beer for the first time just to look cool?” “Ehh… point taken.”

M: Got any premises on the back burner that you’d care to share?

Oh man there are so many that I have sitting in me and Ouida's server xD. A few that I'm very excited about:

A human au where Crowley is a repressed incel who doesn't realize he's gay and wanders into a queer kink bar by mistake on his way to an alpha male grindset meetup at a different bar and meets leather daddy Aziraphale who gives him a new lease on what being a man is about.

A book canon fic where Aziraphale and Crowley's corporations are damaged to the point where they have to discorporate in a battle back in celtic times, but their bodies are in a ravine and they are slowly decomposing because no one knows they're there and they can't off themselves (obviously no one actually dies, I just want the imagery of bodies decomposing together because I listen to too much Hozier).

Another human au where Crowley works at a truckstop and Aziraphale is the big quiet bear of a trucker who frequents the establishment and Crowley is Big Time Horny for him.

Reverse omens Beauty and the Beast fusion but it's specifically The Tiger's Bride by Angela Carter inspired.
