Portabella Mushroom Pizza Sliders. This is my last food meal for the next 3 days bc I'm starting a (no added sugar) juice cleanse tomorrow morning with one of my BFFs...I LOVE eating so this is definitely going to be a challenge! Here's the recipe for the pizza sliders: 1. Place washed portabella mushroom caps in a shallow pan and bake at 345 for approx 6 minutes 2. While mushroom caps bake, mix the following in a bowl: 1 cup chopped grape tomatoes with 1 Tbsp olive oil, 2 dashes of salt, 2 dashes of black pepper, 2 dashes of thyme, 2 dashes of garlic powder, 2 dashes of oregano, 1 Tbsp of chopped green onion, 1 clove of minced garlic 3. Remove mushroom caps and drain excess water. Lightly blot caps with a towel to remove any remaining moisture. 4. Add tomato mixture to each of the caps and top with small pieces of fresh mozzarella and feta cheese. 5. Return topped caps to the oven for 10 more minutes or until cheese begins to brown. As a child I absolutely detested Brussels sprouts and refused to eat them. It wasn't until I had my son and wanted to model healthier eating habits that I decided to give them another try. It took a while but they've really grown on me, to the point that they are now one of my favorite vegetables! Evidence shows that children need to try a food up to 16 times before they know whether they truly dislike a food...my guess is that this probably goes for adults as well. Sometimes all it takes is the right preparation technique and spices to make a food much more palatable...the sprouts shown were roasted with olive oil, salt, pepper, oregano, fresh rosemary and shredded parmesan cheese - they were delish!! #noaddedsugar #30daychallenge #healthyrecipes #wholefoods #paleo #glutenfree #fitspo #fitfam #ctatenutrition

Day 9 of the no added sugar challenge. I can't believe how easily I walked past my FAVORITE bakery today without any hesitation! I have a supreme sweet tooth and their cakes and cupcakes hit the perfect note of super sublimely sweet and buttery rich. But I'm determined to make it to day 30 and possibly beyond bc 1. I set a goal 2. my cravings have decreased tremendously 3. I was in a pinch this morning and decided to make this quick & super satiating fix: Mayo-free Avocado Deviled Eggs! To make I took out some hard boiled eggs I made the night before, scooped out the yolk, mashed it with 1/4 avocado, salt & pepper, stuffed the egg whites and just like that breakfast was done! It was so yummy!
