first of all please don't look at me weird just because the trailer showed suzume kissing a chair lmao i promise it's actually cute trust me

secomd of all i wasn't lying about the graphics and cinematography. that part where suzume and souta closes the first door? then it cuts to the title screen with the main theme echoing? goosebumps. i regretted talking during that part.

and that last part in the ever-after? yk this is good when it reminds you to howl and sophie under the stars. and souta hugging suzume saying, "i'll meet you again"? then suzume and souta meets again in the exact manner they first met? i see the makoto shinkai has a style and im loving it lmao.

another personal favorite, suzume saying, "i want to try too!" and souta going, "suzume wa dame da!" man's nervous getting sat on by a girl, i mean valid man💀 but you're a chair so that's that /lh

also i love how theres a lot of theme going on: found family, lost family, grievance, acceptance, serendipity, sacrifice, love, compassion, the cycle of life. i didn't exactly cry but i have a feeling i will if i try hard enough lmaoo suzume and souta are so dear to me, and serizawa and tamaki and everyone, they're good ppl :')

some things i'm still mulling about though,

didn't suzume said, "mr. good-looking man, i feel like we've before?" then went, "oh shoot, i sound like i'm shooting my shot." this makes me wonder if suzume is really having that sense of deja-vu bevause otherwise, why would she ditch school and go look for some handsome man who asked her for directions? what i'm curious about is what suzume is actually feeling that time. deja-vu? deja-vu from where? either i'm trippin here or i was just not paying attention loll

mortals won't be able to cross the door to the ever-after. but smol-suzume can do that, and the big-suzume can do that via the same door. is it because her desire to find the person on the other side of the door so strong?

all in all it was a good movie. if someone makes an AU out of this i'm gonna eat that up 😩 lol imagine chuuya or kunikida being cursed to a chair by an ability or the like, and they're just frantically pattering around as we (or dazai, obvsly) get ourselves in danger 24/7 in trying to lift the curse.

Found a super cute manhwa on Twitter which unfortunately has no translation yet but it's free every 3 hours on Kakao Webtoon

The name is "내 침대 밑에 괴물 남주가 산다" or a rough translation would be "𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐞 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐔𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐲 𝐁𝐞𝐝"

I've only read 3 chapters so far and this is basically the story:

The fl transmigrated into the body of Irina Sordie, the daughter of the main villain of the R19 novel she was reading. The novel was a dark romance thriller where the male lead, Alexei Ruslan, is a psycho yandere (this is so hilarious later) where he imprisons the og female lead as a way of love etc, they get together in the end. Our fl gets killed by her psycho bro and I think she was briefly engaged to the ml in the novel, idk the mtl was weird at times. Our girl is neglected in the house by the maids and her family. Her brother gives her monster corpses as gifts (not even clean ones, just the bloody freshly killed ones that get blood all over the floor and make a mess of the room smh) and she's doing her best not to make him mad or he'll make her head literally pop (edit: correction the brother is just an awkward bro con who doesn't know what he's doing lol. He jut gives her everything because he doesn't know what she likes and even sent her jewels but they were stolen by the maids so fl had no idea). One of the monsters happens to be alive and it's a cute little slime that can understand human speech. The truth is, the slime is actually the ml but Idk yet why he's a slime. The fl becomes friends with the slime ml while also plotting how to escape. One of the plans is to get in a contract marriage with the ml and divorce him later when he finds og fl (because obviously). She keeps talking about how she wants to marry the ml and how hot he is and how she really wants to kiss him and stuff in front of the slime without knowing the slime is the ml and he just keeps blushing so hard.

It's cute as sh!t

The artstyle is super cute, the ml is super cute, their relationship is super cute, it's just so cute!

The fl is actually smart and hilarious

She does her best to survive in her household, she's treated horribly by everyone yet knows how to control her emotions and to say the right thing at the right time or improvise when she slips up. And she talks about the male lead like most of us readers talk about our blorbos and it's hilarious (and always leaves a little bright red slime)

The slime is a better male lead than most of the male leads out there

Know how in the og novel the male lead was an obsessive psycho yandere? Yeah throw all that in the trash because this little slime dude is THE BEST™!! Like I have examples and pics to prove it.

He's super cute look at him!! And he's having non of it for the neglect fl is facing! This is him asking for praise right after decking a rude ass maid who wouldn't let fl eat!

When he saw fl starving due to not being fed all day, he sneaked a big meal in her room in his little slime body AND HE ALSO GOT DESSERT!

And when fl asked him to be friends, he wanted to answer her in a way that she would definitely understand, so he wrote it down on a paper even tho he could barely hold the pen due to his slime form

It's a really cute story and I definitely recommend. I really hope it gets translated soon because I need a good translation so bad the mtl is so hard to understand at times

yu junghyeok and prince cedric have like practically the same design (+v similar personality) but listen the Vibes they have r diff... idk if this makes sense but u know charas w tired dilf energy... YJH has that but not cedric.. hes like a baby.. the way I describe it is YJH is babygirl but cedric is just my baby🫂🔥🔥🔥*gets incinerated* SKJDJ idk if it's noticeable at all but I try to capture diff vibes when I draw them....

when i draw cedric i try to go full shoujo... he is a romance novel male lead... sparkly eyes bright colors 90s anime blush... goes full squish mode when drawing him chibi MFNSKJ🤭

but when i draw yjh im like... no i have to convey the Angst and Depression.... *gives him dark circles and takes the light from his eyes*😇🖤

idk if it's noticeable but I also try to differentiate their designs in subtle ways (besides eye color etc),,, I give them diff eyebrow shapes!! I like YJH with triangle brows(thicker at the ends) and cedric w tapered brows(thicker toward the middle) like the webtoon... I also try to make cedric's hair a bit curlier than YJH🥹

Episodes 7 & 8 The Finale

Not the best KBL Finale or the best KBL. No real kiss. Not even a hearty hug. A lot of jealousy and indecision. A lot of family turmoil for both guys.

But the positive. Two good performances (imo) Not some confession and immediate love so that's more realistic in many ways. But there was a happy ending because these boys more or less committed to one another. And Yoo Jae (ZUHO) realized he loves his friend. And Han Joon (KIM IN SUNG) finally got his hearts desire.

A Happy Ending Achieved. The End.
