Night of Fear - Nexus

Based on Night of Fear.

Mandarin has decided to attack the Cinermonos team, using his nightmares with the help of Valeena's amulet, which has her trapped.

Nexus meets him, however it is not to help him defeat the team, as Nexus believes that this would not be the fair way to finish off the Chosen One.

However, the heir of the Skeleton King has other intentions, because he still wants to know more about that mysterious power, and he knows that he cannot let Chiro die at the hands of Mandarin.

So he tries to help them, absorbing the remains of black magic that are in the cybermonkeys, however, he discovers that the more magic he absorbs, the more he will be affected, not to mention that he still has a touch of Primate Power inside him, for so having two types of energies is very heavy for him.

Despite his intentions, there is no way for the cybermonkeys to let their guard down with him, since he is with the followers of the Skeleton King, and so far, the only one who has been able to hurt him is Antauri, so it is very likely that Nexus will do everything do everything possible to get away from him, or at least be out of his attack zone.

In this world, two factions have emerged, both vying for ultimate control of what is left of the world. The first faction is led by Bjork, a former pop star and now a powerful and ruthless warlord. The other faction is known as Ice Spice, led by a mysterious and shadowy figure.

Bjork has assembled a formidable army of cybermonkeys, genetically modified primates that are fiercely loyal to their leader. She has been using them to seize territory and resources from other factions, steadily expanding her power and influence.

Ice Spice, on the other hand, has developed a deadly bioterror weapon using the Bella Hadid juice, a rare and powerful substance that can trigger devastating effects on those who ingest it. They have been using this weapon to infect and weaken their enemies, slowly but surely undermining their strength and power.

As the conflict between Bjork and Ice Spice intensifies, the world grows ever more chaotic and dangerous. The two factions engage in fierce battles, with both sides taking heavy casualties.

But despite the odds against her, Bjork refuses to give up. She is determined to emerge victorious and rule the world. And with the help of her loyal cybermonkeys, she launches a massive assault against Ice Spice.

The battle is brutal and intense, with both sides fighting tooth and nail for control. But in the end, it is Bjork who emerges victorious. Her cybermonkeys prove to be too much for the bioterror attacks of Ice Spice, and her army overwhelms her enemy's defenses.

Hasbro put the original Transformers cartoon on YouTube…the animation is laughably bad with a lot of color flashing and limbs disappearing and voices coming out of the wrong characters. Love the worldbuilding, though, like how geothermal energy is apparently created by huge green crystals like the one worshiped in the Aztec temples in Peru (?) and how the Decepticons are constantly low on energy and materials but somehow keep building giant death rays and magnetosphere-harvesting orbital power stations and a giant robot griffon

The dialog is usually pretty generic but with amazing uses of euphemisms—I know they do it in the modern stuff but I didn’t remember them doing it on the original, back when “kids show characters nearly cursing” was far rarer. These guys are constantly telling each other “go blow a circuit” and “time to kick some afterburner” and “cold enough to freeze the bearings off a titanium cybermonkey”

"Megatron Begone" sounds like something sparklings do after the war ends. Maybe like how middle school kids put their fingers together and chant "shame"? Like someone asks to play on the cybermonkey bars and the school bully's like "no, cause yo momma's a Decepticon" and then their entire clique makes something vaguely like the Decepticon symbol with their hands and chants "Megatron Begone! Megatron Begone!" until the kid runs away crying. It sounds like that.

....i was just gonna be basic and made a "begone, THOT" joke, but this is kinda funny.

Nightmares

Doesn't it happen to you that you want to capture an idea, but you realize that you can't transport that idea to paper? This is what happened to me these days xD But I finally got around to making this little comic about a little moment in the life of cybermonkeys shortly after taking Jasper.

During the first few years, Jasper has had nightmares but the fact is that they are actually memories (not so clear) of what Chiro's last moments were like, the baby has no idea what is happening or because he feels too afraid, he only believes that those he sees in his dreams are the ones who will keep him protected.

(Yes, the first page is in English and the others in Spanish xD, the languages got mixed up)

Gibson: What happened!?

Nova: I don't know! He just... He had never cried like that!

Gibson: Hmm... He has high stress levels, it must have been a nightmare.

Nova: Nightmare? Can babies have nightmares?

Gibson: Until a certain age. For now we have to keep it relaxed. (...)

Nova: Looks like he wants you to carry him.

Based on his one-off figure created for Animation-Comic Hong Kong 2007—and now part of a fully-developed storyline, War in the West: Time Wars. Brass mask with mirror-like eyes, staff made from 2 swords, fire sword, big gun, extra hands (with and without gloves), a sword hilt to stick in his backpack—and a stand that is a character in itself. Unbelievable detail. A work of art. I have no room to put this!
