Let's be honest with ourselves that Transformers Earthspark has its issues. It isn't uncommon for the series to have a few messy iterations throughout the years. However those at least have something going for them.

Bayverse is a junk pile yet there's a lot of material you can build off on and some pretty interesting concepts. RiD15 is an awful sequel to Prime but does decently well as a standalone although there are much needed changes to be had. Earthspark... Well, it's just there.

I can be lenient with the plot holes and poor pacing as Nickelodeon is notorious for interfering with any show that isn't SpongeBob to the point of cancellation. The issues truly land on the characters themselves. I'm gonna try to simplify it without devolving into a rant like the previous draft.

Edit: Gonna add some further edits as I wrote this in the middle of the night. Plus my simplified version skipped some key details.

Robby. Somehow they made a human character I actually dislike instead of be neutral about. In the official Transformers wiki, he's labeled as a big brother who cares for his siblings but his actions so far say otherwise. Robby literally ran away in the first episode because they moved then decided to try and hide the Terrans from his parents.

Yet he rarely gets enough consequences for his actions. I think we don't just need less Emberstone saves not just because of plot armor but force actual character growth on him. Like a life changing to one of his siblings as consequences for his actions and strained relationship until he gets his head outta his ass.

Edit: Yes, I know Robby is a teenager but that isn't a decent enough excuse for his behavior. Seen the trope about big brothers who do act closed off or at some points rude but they haven't done shit that put their family in serious danger. No, I didn't try to purposely forget the times he was injured badly.

There honestly needs to be less of those and his consequences be adjusted to it affects someone else badly. *

Next issue is lacking confrontation with Optimus choices alongside the obvious misplaced trust in the 13 Primes. Quintus Prime literally emotionally manipulated and scarred Mo through a fake bad ending reality because she doubted herself. No good person would do that, much less an actual ally. Even moreso on a child.

I seen this shit in Trollhunters but at least Jim, the main character, was a teenager. (It still was wrong though.) We also got remember that Liege Maximo and Megatronus/The Fallen are Primes. Yet somehow it is best to trust them.

Don't get me started with some of Optimus' choices when it comes to GHOST. He probably did it to protect his Autobots but what about the Decepticons who are locked away? Why are there so little of his companions with him especially since Bumblebee had fucking went into hiding before the show began.

There needs to be tension between Optimus with his Autobots. Someone is bound to snap and Bumblebee would have the biggest impact. The man clearly isn't okay as he's doing things that even Megatron admits ain't like him.

Mandroid needs to be written differently. He has the making of a sympathetic villain but oh boy. First off it is clear that his depiction is ableist aligned since the reason he doesn't like Cybertronians is because he lost his arm. Major thing to change right there.

Give him a narrative where his interest been genuine but slowly declines as the Autobot/Decepticon war increases the number of destroyed lives. Let him become a victim to this than just 'I lost my arm so death alongside experimentation to all Cybertronians'. Also don't make Mandroid ignore the obvious fact that the Transformers parts he puts into his body is slowly poisoning and instead come up with ways to fight the infection. Kinda like in Ironman 2 where Tony's arc reactor began to do the same thing.

Edit: Mandroid's negative views on Cybertronians are about the war and he's aware of the Energon poisoning. It is just that it is poorly portrayed to the point you rarely see it over his Arachnamechs/his ruined life.

Have the man present various evidence of destruction the war caused by both sides at the Malto children or anonymously spread such info around town to sew discontent with the townsfolk. 'These are the people who you consider heroes. Who you see as family and friends. Or should these tragedies be forgotten?'

Do a Baxter Stockman where you frequently see him try to fix the Energon poisoning than just simple dialogue. Even have testing on organic subjects to see how they react and find ways to counter it. Don't keep these key points as simple dialogue. *

I don't think Karen needs much changes either. 'But her taking over Cybertron doesn't make sense!' It actually does for one reason: hubris. Have you ever seen what happens when you give a control freak power? Their behavior becomes more erratic as they begin to think they deserve more. She is xenophobic in nature so imprisoning Decepticons and ordering around the Autobots is a drug to her.

Karen wants to treat them like slaves so the next step in her mind is Cybertron. Her death is well deserved and well played. Just like Icarus, the bitch flew too close to the sun.

I think the last major issue, other than out of character racist Shockwave, is the Terrans. No offense but they need a bit less screentime so the rest of the cast can shine. We barely see Alex and there's unclarified issues involving Bumblebee with Arcee if he's uncomfortable around her.

I also want their flaws to be at the forefront. Thrash is the only one who gotten such character development from his encounter with Swindle. We need more of that! Like Hashtag's overreliance on the Internet biting her back as she is forced to use real world skills.

Edit: I accidentally put in Terrans when I really meant Twitch. The screentime for everyone needs to be balanced mainly for the Malto family. Alex alongside the three younger Terrans rarely get involved or their characters further build upon. Twitch needs to get benched more.

Also the Dad Number 2 should really be addressed. Wheeljack was clearly uncomfortable when it been brought up. Plus it is way too fast to even consider such ideas unless you plan to have it addressed properly. Like 'Kid. We barely know each other yet somehow I became a father figure in an instant? It's best not to do that until you truly certain "Dad Number 2" doesn't mean harm or feels comfortable with it.' *

Earthspark clearly has potential but these problems need to be handled better. Addong the deleted scenes help add some clarification but canon needs to present it. We are supposed to get a second season so hopefully some of these are addressed.

OK- so earlier I was having a little scenario in my head, making crossovers and stuff and I decided to have a crossover for TFP and TOA and BY GOD did it get good!!

At first it was “What should happen? How would the Jasper trio meet the Arcadia trio?” And then I started thinking about their similarities

Jack&Jim: obviously they look the same, lanky kid with black hair swooped to the side and pretty average styled clothes. But thinking about how both of their family lives include a mother who is in the medical field, and a father that’s not present. They both have blue mentors/people-they-consider-close-family: Jim = Blinky, Jack = Arcee. They were both given things that are VERY important: Jim = the amulet, Jack = the key to sector sigma(albeit briefly). And they act quite similarly, they seem like the voice of reason but can rush into situations without thinking and will not hesitate to deal with people they think are the problem (there’s more but I’m tired and haven’t watched TOA in a while)

Claire&Miko: in looks they both have dark hair with streaks of color styles in cool ways and their clothes seem alternative (idk the style honestly) and more with cool colors like purples and blues. They both like metal music and are from non white families: Claire = Hispanic, Miko = Japanese (idk if I should add this but I wanted to) and are very outspoken people who will throw themselves into situations (Miko very more so both figuratively and literally)

Toby&Raf: they both have a lighter brown hair with a yellow shirt underneath a vest (nerd fit fr). There’s not many similarities with them other than big interests: Toby and rocks, Raf and technology. But they have both dealt with crazy situations without the other two: Toby = getting eaten by a troll, Raf = shot with dark energon. I don’t know if there’s similarities in personality but there maybe.

WHICH HAS LED TO ME MAKING AN ENTIRE AU IN MY MIND MIXING TOA AND TFP BECAUSE THERES SO MUCH YOU CAN MIX TOGETHER AND STUFF!! Also thought I had that the Akkiriddions, (idk if I spelled that right) do not like the Cybertronians because of their civil war that might have impacted their planet.

Also these two look similar and I hate/love it. I don’t remember much about Gunmars backstory but I do remember him being created out of hate and that manifesting inside of a heartstone (ANOTHER THOUGHT I HAD IS THAT HEARTSTONES ARE A WEIRD EARTH MODIFIED VERSION OF ENERGON) and thats how Gunnar came to be (idk if that’s fully true so don’t take my word for it) BUT IN MY LITTLE AU THAT I CREATED IM HAVING IT SO THAT GUNMAR IS A CONSCIOUS MANIFESTATION OF UNICRON AND AKHDKDBDKDHSSKVDJDHDDKHDID

My Disney Animation Agent

James Pleiades "Jim" Hawkins, also known as the "Rogue Warrior of Montressor", is the only son of Sarah Hawkins, the proprietor of the Benbow Inn, and one of the first off-world members of the Autobot Resistance. Jim is a very adventurous, rebellious, and caring young lad. At first, Jim is stoic and guarded, but as time goes on, he begins to open up, and in the end, he becomes a much more open, confident and happier young man, bearing a side that is very brave, selfless, strong-willed, independent, and loyal to his allies. He is also friendly and willing to help strangers, especially if they are injured or lost, showing that he's kind and compassionate towards animals. He is also shown to be fun-loving, a jokester, sarcastic, mischievous, charismatic, and a bit of a dreamer. He is also usually honest, yet quite private, and hardly ever lies; he only lies if he feels that he really has to, but can also be very sweet, innocent and polite, and cares greatly for his allies and will protect and defend them from anything and anyone. Jim is also very forgiving, shown when he forgave Silver for his antagonistic actions, particularly when Silver chose to save Jim's life instead of Flint's treasure, also allowing Silver to sneak away in lieu of outing him, showing that Jim has completely forgiven Silver and accepted him as his friend and father-figure again. Ultimately, even with his few flaws and his bad-boy exterior, Jim has got a heart of gold and refuses to embrace the typical greedy and ruthless pirate life like his pirate enemies. He's also very intelligent for a lad of his age (as in so intelligent that he is very skilled in mechanical engineering, showing this when he was able to build his own solar surfer all by himself at age 8 and he was able to fix up the late Captain Flint's spaceship in just a few minutes, come age 15). He is also pragmatic and logical, more than people give him credit for. Despite his great intelligence and pragmatism, he can do very stupid and reckless things, but regardless of his reckless side, Jim can be very cautious and serious if the situation presented itself. He likes playing around with Morph, but he can get annoyed by the little floating pink blob of mischief sometimes, and the same can be said for B.E.N., who gets on Jim's nerves fairly often, especially when B.E.N. talks too much or touches Jim too much. Nevertheless, Jim does consider B.E.N. a good friend and a useful sidekick (also, Jim learned to accept B.E.N.'s hysterical and annoying habits somewhat and even enthusiastically hugs B.E.N. back when B.E.N. hugs him for saving everyone from Treasure Planet's destruction). Divergence: After Jim saved everyone, they landed on another world: Cybertron. Dr. Doppler mentioned that most of the Cybertronians died out after the Earth War of 2006, but Jim always wanted to see it. They make planetfall, but Jim and Silver realize that they crossed into another reality, upon being fired at by the Decepticons. It wasn't until an unlikely alliance of characters brought Jim and the others to Nova-Terria, an amalgamation of worlds, using Montressor's technology to operate as computers, phones, everything. The others make themselves at home, with Jim using a Solar Surfer he created out of junked-out parts and a Crystallic Fusion Power-Cell, which he realized was just a giant battery. He often runs into a spot of trouble with the Decepticons, so much so that Team Epsilon, with Pursuit in command, saves him, but Jim does take some Decepticon tech and repurposing it for the Autobots, because he knows now: the war's still going on...and he's just been drafted into it, to save ALL realities. (Note: This is my sort of AU, and I'd not like anyone stealing ideas from me.)

I think they'd view it as a challenge - they've accomplished so much with (comparatively) so little, I can only imagine they'd salivate at the prospect of new ideas brought forth by a glimpse into the Kverse's present. And from our side, I think they would be incredibly impressive for their achievement in making tech out of magic - not something that's really a thing in the Kverse, to the point that it's one of Doctor Doom's greatest dreams

Yes, the premise of Sentinel creating a low class for Cybertronian citizens by secretly taking their T-Cogs during fabrication is a part of the Kverse's lore, though a few things about it (motivations, timeline implications, etc.) are different to account for the rest of established Cybertronian history - like, for example, the fact that the Quintessons were gone by the time he came into power. I'll put something up about it when I've nailed down all the details

I'd say Jim considers himself straight but has no qualms about recognizing when a man's attractive. Aja is definitely pan, and Krel gives me nothin' but aroace vibes, tbh

They do. When it became clear that Jim wouldn't be coming back anytime soon, Claire came clean about it. They don't necessarily love NotEnrique, but at least they don't hate him, either (as long as there's still hope that Enrique will come back someday, of course). They have to keep up appearances when they're out and about, but they don't interact often when they're home. It's just...a bit too painful for them, unfortunately (and, I'd say, understandably).

Reactions As I Read: ● reading the Marvel UK Transformers gives me the chance to a) prepare to listen to my friend Jon’s podcast, and b) refresh my memory on what happened in Transformers since many will be reprints of the U.S. version, because my memory is shite ● the Seekers will always have a soft spot in my heart

● I grew up hearing sonic booms over my house almost every weekend. I think that’s why Thundercracker is my favorite of the Seekers ● 👏👏👏

Synopsis: The Decepticons have learned that the Earth has an abundant amount of fuel and decide that in order to win their battle against the Autobots they should capitalize on these resources. They first send Ravage to spy and collect data on the Harrison Nuclear Power Plant. Finding its atomic energy resources a boon to their cause, Megatron orders his troops to attack the power plant. The Decepticon's firepower easily sends the plant workers running for cover and they have no opposition in stealing the components that they have come to take.

Meanwhile at the mechanic shop of Sparkplug Witwicky, his son Buster pleads to his father to help him save the Autobot Bumblebee from bleeding out his fuel following his clash with the Decepticons. Explaining what happened to his father, Sparkplug finds the story of robots fighting a war at the drive-in a little hard to swallow but agrees to help fix the car. When Sparkplug succeeds in repairing Bumblebee, he is shocked when the VW Beetle transforms into a robot and confirms Buster's story, and explains that he is from the planet Cybertron. When he explains their plight of needing fuel Sparkplug suggests trying to find a way to convert Earth fuel sources into the kind that the Autobots can use. Liking the idea Bumblebee transforms and takes Buster with him (despite protests from Sparkplug) to propose the idea to Optimus Prime.

As Buster drives through the city, Bumblebee explains to him how the Transformers came to be on Earth and why they are there. The Decepticon Ravage is prowling the city and recognizes Buster's friends Jessie and "O" as the ones from the theater and transforms into his cassette mode and hides in "O"'s boombox. When Buster spots them, they tell him about reports of robots attacking the Harrison Nuclear Plant, leading Bumblebee to theorize that the Decepticons are after the same thing as they are, a means of converting Earth's fuels into a source that the Transformers can use. During their conversation, Ravage overhears Buster explain to his friends that his father is making an attempt to crack the secret, leading the stealthy Decepticon to report back to his master Megatron.

While deep inside Mount Saint Hillary, inside the Ark the Autobots take inventory of their fuel supplies and realize that they are running low. Optimus Prime is convinced that they need to make an alliance with the people of Earth and offer them Cybertronian technology in exchange for the resources to convert Earth's fuels. They are then contacted by Bumblebee who reports back about Sparkplug's offer to make fuel. Accepting the offer Optimus leaves the base with a number of the Autobots.

Meanwhile, the Decepticons have constructed a base out of the materials they salvaged from the Harrison Nuclear Plant, he is told by Ravage about Sparkplug's offer to convert Earth's fuels into fuel that is usable by Transformers and sends his Starscream, Thundercracker, Skywarp, Buzzsaw and Laserbeak to collect Witwicky and bring him back to their base.

When the Autobots arrive at the Witwicky Garage, Optimus Prime introduces himself to the Witwicky family. Festivities are soon cut short when they are attacked by the Decepticons, led by Megatron and a fight over Sparkplug begins. As Optimus Prime and Megatron battle it out, Starscream manages to nab Sparkplug while the other Autobots are occupied battling the Decepticons. With Sparkplug their prisoner, the Decepticons retreat.

When Buster begs the Autobots to go after the Decepticons they all begin to collapse due to low energy levels, leaving Buster to wonder what is going to have to be done to rescue his father.

When her son was unjustly killed she turned her back against the humans and became the evil Decepticon known as Skrilla. But years later the Legion convinced her to turn a new leaf and she became Kargo once more.

He is highly intelligent, with an ever expanding mind he is ventures, inventive and with a thirst for knowledge.

Origins: The 9th member to be created. Farasi was quite difficult to obtain due to how rare limousines are in public spaces. But with encouragement from the Legion Sam stole a Limousine and gifted it with both a name and life. Farasi is a kind old humble gentleman who also a person pleaser.

However in Age of Extinction he met his end at the hands of Skrilla, when his team tried to bring Kargo back from the dark side.

at first when I drew Sari’s robot form’s head, it was originally just gonna be for the drawing at the bottom of Sari’s blog....

but then I got the idea to use the drawing for a type of “blog” idea....

even if it is more of a Ficto-Blog that is suppose to be Sari writing her feelings down about how she feels about being Techno-Organic and finding out that her Mom is technically Megatron.

so I am posting both works in this and since this is also a Crossover as well, I also added FNAF Fanart for one of the tags, as well as the Crossover fanart tag.

and since Breakdown and Knockout from Transformers Prime are mention in this as well, I added their names into the tags as well.

oh and in Sari’s blog, her timeline’s Prowl never stayed offline for long.

because Sari’s key still had lots of power in it, and when this version of Sari upgraded herself, she still looked the same age, so when she transformed into robot form during her childhood, she looked like a 8 year old robot.

one of the things that did change was her eye color, which like her counterpart that used all the allspark-key to not just upgrade herself but become much older...

but this version of Sari who goes by the username “AutobotSariSumdac2023″

she only used a little of the allspark-key’s power to only upgrade herself a little, and still stayed the same age she was before she upgraded herself.

this version of Sari didn’t end up hurting Bumblebee after the upgrade.

The Transformers Reaction Force aren’t my favorite and I view them as being dirty shisno (Thank You Red Vs Blue for starting the “Shisno Word”)

I don’t know which group is the biggest Shisno in the Bayformers Universe, Sector Seven or The Transformers Reaction Force....

who tries to pass herself off as Sari, he might end up screaming “THAT’S NOT MY BABY” while hugging on to Safeguard (who is more like a platonic fusion like Steven & Greg’s fusion, only instead it being a Father & Son Fusion, it’s a Sibling Fusion, because Safeguard is made up of the twins Jetfire & Jetstorm.)

as for who would be the Amethyst, I would pick Wreck-Gar.

if Knockout ever ended up having a crush on Wreck-Gar, would it be viewed as him being Moronsexual....?  

well in the canon timeline of TFP, Breakdown does end up you know....

I have spent the last 4 hours slowly scrolling through the witches heretics and outcasts Au tag and I have fallen in love with it. It is so fleshed out and everything new I discover makes it even more fascinating.

I came across a post about Jack and Lockdown but couldn't find anything else about them and their dynamic, how did they meet? I can't imagine it being in good terms since Jack is an autobot 'pet' and Lockdown is a Decepticon. When do they become friends? So many questions!

It was a vague idea I was still working on at the time. I was thinking it takes place very early on with Jack still getting accustomed to giant alien robots and having just come to understand there are neutral party factions staying out of the conflict.

I was thinking of Lockdown pretending to be one of those neutral parties and when meeting Jack by chance alone, actually makes it believable that Lockdown is a neutral party ready to leave planet soon as he found out the Autobots and Decepticons are here. But Jack, trying to reassure the neutral that it’s fine, he won’t tell the Autobots he’s here and to please talk to him. He wants to know more that Arcee, Ratchet, and everyone else is not revealing about this 5 million year old conflicts.

There are certain details missing due to keeping the humans in the dark.

And Jack, still being a foolish teenage boy, does buy into Lockdown’s acting believing he convinced a neutral to stay and learn more from him. In time, coming to trust and view him as a figure Jack refuses to admit he sought for in life.

It’s supposed to be a sort of view of Jack viewing various Cybertronians as parental figures. Two of whom would be influential father figures to him.

Optimus Prime and Lockdown.

With Lockdown and Jack, I was influenced by Treasure Planet and the relationship between John Silver and Jim.

I even had ideas of Jack having a character arc based on growing pains, a teenage boy’s whole world changing drastically with these alien robots, and coming to see that though it’s scary, it’s also amazing. (I’m Still Here plays with Jack Darby’s arc)

Like it takes place with lots of time in between to properly flesh out the relationship. So when that OOF reveal comes, it comes hard. But Lockdown has come to care for Jack too and it’s just a matter of when the Decepticon bounty Hunter will turn on his own Master.

Hear me out, a Transformers and Trollhunters crossover. The Transformers are an amalgamation of the various sources but the kids are from Prime and Animated, meaning Jack, Miko, Raph, and Sari.

The idea is that Jack and Jim are cousins on their dad's sides, so Jack and June come to visit Barbara and Jim during the first season of Trollhunters with Jack's autobot guardian coming along as well(June knows). While Jim and Jack catch up with each other while trying to avoid talking about the secret activities they've been up to. Unfortunately for the cousins they end up getting attack by either Bular or another monster, and Unfortunately for the attacking party Jack's guardian intervenes. Revealing the secret worlds of both parties

Someone actually did a Transformers Prime and Trollhunters crossover with a similar premise of Jack/Jim being cousins. Although Jim was staying with the Darby while Angor Rot drags the bots into the Trollhunter business when Draal follows the Trollhunter. Here's my interpretation.

Jim and Jack are actually school assigned pen/face time pals. The program later progresses to 10 students coming to Arcadia for a week then vice versa with Jasper. Now neither are aware of each other's secrets at first.

There is obvious signs however that there's something strange with the other boy. For Jim: hushing someone (Blinky/Draal) offscreen, looking beat up, flashes of light, and accidentally using some Troll terms. For Jack: Arcee's voice in the background, usage of suspicious names/terms(Optimus/Scraplet/Decepticon), and heavy stomps or screen shake.

This strangeness reaches the respective group such as troll artifacts being found by the bots to Cybertronian artifacts showing up in Arcadia. Bumblebee investigate one particular artifact only for a troll oriented guardian to attack him. Team Trollhunters setting off a Cybertronian trap.

Basically multiple incidents from both sides that begin to boil into the boys' assignment. Everything comes to ahead when Jack joins one mission only to collect what assumed to be a Cybertronian artifact which is instead a piece to Killahead Bridge and one of the bots triggers goblins to attack. Jim showing up on the battlefield in his Trollhunter outfit as things take a bad turn for the group.

Life tends to throw curveballs so why not the discovery of two different wars happening at the same time?

For Sari, Prowl is her guardian who isn't involved in the Autobot/Decepticon war. She's currently staying in Arcadia with a relative of her father so she can socialize unlike back in Detroit. Things gotten messy with Sumdaac Industries hence why Sari is there as Isaac wants to fix things before bringing her back.

WFC: Seige (The Problem with Ratchet and Wheeljack)

I said I was going to go on a tangent, so here I goooooooo...

WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD

First let’s take a look at what the show offered us.

Wheeljack: Autobot Engineer who discovered a space bridge and wants to repair it.

Ratchet: Autobot? Doctor that has become disillusioned with the war and focuses his efforts on healing anyone that comes to him, no matter their faction.

On the surface, all of this looks good. It shows an understanding of the characters and gives them an interesting purpose within the narrative.

So how come it doesn’t work? Well, for one thing, Wheeljack doesn’t feel capable of fixing the space bridge but thinks Ratchet can because he’s just that brilliant. When we meet Ratchet, they praise him on his prowess and on all of his inventions, trying to convince him to join the cause. It’s a dry scene (as is much of the show) but worse, it lumps Cybertronian medical providers in the same boat as engineers, something that the both the canon and fandom has striven to provide distinction between. A person is not a space bridge, which should be firmly in Wheeljack’s wheelhouse. (See what I did there? DON’T BOO ME!)

So how could we have made this better, without taking away from the role of either character in the story? I’m so glad you asked.

The story starts much the same except Wheeljack is not in the picture yet. (I know I praised it in a previous post for alluding to the opening of G1. A cute nod to the audience isn’t worth sacrificing good story telling over.) While scouting for energon, a space bridge is discovered. What a find! The scouting mission returns and tells Prime.

Prime's been turning to reluctant Ratchet for this sort of thing a LOT. Ratchet wants to run his hospital and be left alone, but they keep coming him to ‘fix things’ promising combat won’t come into play. He goes along with this because he’s sympathetic to their cause but is constantly complaining that this isn’t his area of expertise; he’s a doctor, not an engineer.

Prime returns to Ratchet asking for his help fixing a space bridge. Ratchet finally loses it, like the grumpy old man he is. “Dammit Jim! I’m a doctor!” This is way outside of his field...but he knows a guy.

Ratchet introduces Prime (and whoever else you want in the room) to Wheeljack. A super eccentric scientist who’s currently unaffiliated and not really interested in being tied down like that. I envision this scene as one that potentially adds some fun and levity into the very stuffy series. Something explodes in the background and Wheeljack doesn’t flinch. Just says something like, “Don’t worry about it. That’s just a prototype. ...The next one will have a much bigger explosion.” Ratchet chuckles because he knows this guy and gets him, while everyone else is all ‘I don’t know about this’. Ratchet assures them that if Wheeljack can’t fix it, it can’t be fixed. It isn’t until they mention the words ‘space bridge’ that Wheeljack gets really excited. He’s been dying to get his hands on one of those for ages.

Wheeljack ends up sticking around because Prime basically agrees to let him tinker with whatever he wants.

Basically what I’m saying is...I really want to be in the writer’s room.

do you ever thnk about cybertronian handwriting? because those letters look thick and time consuming to write. like do they always fill in the letters or keep the empty for time. maybe breaking the letters down to lines is considered bad handwritting. and the thing with autobots and decepticons having different alphabets

OH YES I DO! fun fact: my oc twister is a calligrapher, so yes i Have thought about cybertronian handwriting/language. specifically, these thoughts:

number one: autobots and decepticons having different “alphabets” in-universe could be a geographical thing, or it could be a class thing (transformers isnt transformers without class divide), or both! it’s also interesting to note that the jim sorenson decepticon font is based off of decepticon graffiti. [1] while tied to class divide due to cons being majority low-caste; it could be a faction thing, in that they created their own writing system. for various possible reasons! for mockery, keeping their operations & dissent secret, for artistic expression, etc.

number two: digital vs analogue! cybertronians being a mechanical species makes this quite interesting, because they typically type things, not write. datapads, and even just within their processors, i don’t imagine the need to write things by hand comes up all that often if everything can just be typed. if you can type out a memo in your brain and save it for later, what’s the point of having a notepad? why bother with handwriting if you can send messages to other people over commlines? it’s fun to think about as humans living in this current era. i can think of instances where i would write things by hand, but would a cybertronian have that impulse as well, considering that their existence is and has always been 100x more digital than mine?

number three: artistic value. so if handwriting isnt common, then what’s it for? the first thing i think of is signs. cybertronian billboards are often just screens, but a custom sign gives a personal touch to your business, doesn’t it? [2] calligraphy is an art, it’s a skill, and on cybertron, it’s most likely a rare one. how well it is regarded and valued most likely varies. someone who handwrites for the iaconian upper-crust vs kaonite street art, that kinda thing. it’s art regardless.

number four--and this is the last one i swear: glyphs & subglyphs. i’ve mentioned once before that i headcanon spoken neocybex as this. basically, a spoken word can be audibly “tagged” with more words under it, giving it extra meaning and connotations. how does this work in written neocybex? well, for one i dont really think the system is a straight up alphabet, like in english. i like to think that multiple symbols are combined to create words; glyphs; and subglyphs are appended to them. or something like that :P [3]

SYNOPSIS.

Reid spent her entire life growing up alongside her ‘cousin’, Tennessee Steinmetz. She was always aware that she was not of his species, but did everything in her power to fit in as a ‘human’. She had a few pre-programmed notions from her early days on her home planet, Cybertron, a world of mechanical beings that could transform from a car to a bi-pedal mode... But when she was being transported off-world with a host of other cybertronians, their various stasis pods jettisoned.

She awoke on Earth, her T-Cog damaged beyond repair and her vocal circuits fried. Reid was too young for proper movement at the time, barely the size of a human toddler thanks to her stasis pod going awry.- She was taken in by Mrs. Steinmetz. Reid constantly hid who and what she was, wondering if her role in society was just to be one of many quiet shadows on the planet... Thankfully, despite discovering her secret, the Steinmetz family has sworn themselves to the utmost secrecy for her sake. Over the years, without a single spark signal to tell her she wasn’t alone.... Reid gave up hope of ever finding another of her kind.

Herbie Springlock, an ex-clerk-bot that was put aboard the same ship for reasons unknown, awoke with similar problems. It wasn’t until he scanned a Volkswagen Bug and transformed into it that he realized the full extent of his problems.... He couldn’t transform back thanks to his broken T-Cog, and his vocal chords were damaged to the point that he could only make beeps with his horn.

He was traded from owner to owner after that, causing endless amounts of trouble while trying desperately to stay out of the scrapyard. Over the years he came to believe that he was indeed, just a possession of the humans, and his life as an independent Cybertronian was over. Herbie refused to fully give in, but the thought still gouged a hole into his spark. In all his years on Earth (about twenty) he never picked up another spark signal....

Transformers (UK, vol. 1) #8: The Last Stand

Synopsis: With the revelation that Sparkplug helped the Decepticons come up with the means of converting Earth's fuels into that a Cybertronian would need to live off of, the Autobots and Buster are demoralized this news. Before Sparkplug can explain Huffer loses his temper leading to a quarrel among the other Autobots. Finding the situation too crazy, Sparkplug grabs Buster and makes a run for it. When the Autobots realize it, Jazz attempts to stop Sparkplug but putting a path of flame in their way with his napalm gun. This sudden action startles Sparkplug to the point where he has a heart attack. Needing immediate medical attention Ratchet transforms into his ambulance mode and loads up Sparkplug and Buster to rush off to the nearest hospital. As Sparkplug lapses into unconsciousness, he dreams about his time in Korea. In this dream, he recollects the time that he was taken as a POW by the Korean army and forced to use his mechanical skill to fix the enemies vehicles. Ratchet gets Sparkplug to the hospital in record time and he is taken to an operating room right away

Meanwhile, at the military blockade in front of the Decepticons base, Megatron goes outside to mock the soldiers by allowing them to fire at him and laugh in their faces when they cause no damage. Returning inside he finds that the repairs on the other Decepticons is going well. Starscream tries Megatron's patience by questioning his leadership leading Megatron to angrily blast his insubordinate second in command. Megatron then sends Ravage to go spy on the Autobots and report back their condition.

Aboard the Ark, Huffer shows Optimus Prime computer records that their computer collected over the four billion years they were inert. It tells them that five other Autobots, Grimlock, Slag, Sludge, Snarl and Swoop; were reactivated on prehistoric Earth and converted into being able to transform into Earth's Dinosaurs to deal with the arrival of the Decepticon Shockwave, who had just arrived on the planet. The records are incomplete and do no explain what happens as the monitoring probe was destroyed before it could record the conclusion of their battle. Curious, Optimus Prime orders a probe to be sent out and investigate what might have happened. With their fuel supply dwindling Optimus Prime orders his Autobots to prepare for the final battle.

With this information, Ravage returns to Decepticon headquarters where Megatron orders a full-scale assault of the Ark. While back aboard the Autobot ship, in order to conserve energy all the Autobots go into status except for Mirage, Bluestreak, Ironhide, Huffer and Optimus Prime who all borrow fuel from their comrades to be a full fighting power. Suddenly the Decepticons burst into the Ark with lasers blasting and the Autobots and Decepticons clash. Meanwhile, the probe arrives in the Savage Land where it uncovers one of the robots buried there four million years ago.

While back in the city, Ratchet is mistaken as a real ambulance and is taken out on various emergencies, and while Sparkplug goes under surgery he continues his dream. In this dream, he recollects how even though he was forced to fix the Korean army's vehicles in the war, he made a point to sabotage the vehicles to cause accidents that killed his captors.

As the battle between the Autobots and Decepticon rages on within the Ark, the Decepticons begin to gain the upper hand. Megatron is about to destroy Optimus Prime when all the Decepticons begin to keel over in pain. They realize that the fuel they had been given had been tainted and they are summarily deactivated. With this unexpected victory, Optimus Prime thanks all his fellow Autobots for the battle that they fought when suddenly a laser blast rips through the base destroying them all. The blast is fired by Shockwave, who was reactivated by the probe, he announces that the Autobots are no more.
