This genuinely means a lot to me, and I just want to say that I absolutely adore your Scott. He's a character I have a kind of complicated relationship with, because his star has risen immeasurably as Hank's has declined and it's hard not to be a little jealous, but at the same time, Scott is such a good, compelling character when he's handled with the right amount of care.

There's so many little characterisation threads to pull on with Scott, from his relationship with Alex (who I've written before on Discord and love playing out that dynamic) to his wildly different long term relationships with Jean and Emma, his progressing politics, his search for atonement, the jagged little edges where editorial got their grubby little fingerprints on him . . .

Like, I loved episode 3 of X-Men '97, I thought it did such a good job of recontextualising Maddie in a more sympathetic light, which took the comics so long to do, but honestly, in all of the episode, there was this one little character thread that they pulled on that really stuck with me.

And it's this moment.

Like, this is such a sharply observed point on Scott's character and his relationship with Corsair (who I fucking loathe for being such a deadbeat), and it added such a poignancy to why this weighs on Scott, while also completely sidestepping the complete hatchet job done on him in those initial issues of X-Factor vol. 1.

Such a good moment. Scott Summers is a fucking good character.
