This is a fun question

Parker Master - any Doctor. He would still feel like a friend with out all the baggage

Delgado Master - 3 and 12. Three seemed to have a good time with this Master and I think 12 would feel the same

Beevers Master - 1. One was a grouchy old man. But he was also the closest to leaving home. He may have some sympathy left for the Master at this point. And there energies are similar in some ways.

Ainley Master - 5. I know it always seems like the Doctor doesn't recognize the Master but I have a feeling five had to of known at least a few times. He just wanted to hang out with his friends before the drama unfolded

Roberts Master - 6. I don't know why. But this just feels right.

Macqueen Master - 13. The two have a lot of the same energy. They are both so bouncy and almost seem oblivious to there feelings.

Young War Master - 5. Just because he's dad Doctor. Maybe slap he across the head a few times.

Jacaboo Master - 7. Both are no nonsense and would be able to have a nice cupper with each other as they both grip a knife under the table.

Simm Master - 10. This Master is very erratic and unpredictable. But the teth doctor has been through so much that this doesn't bother him. He just wants to be loved.

Gomez Master - 12. He saw Missy try to change and would always be Happy to see her.

Mckeen Master - 8 and 14. Eight needs hope and I think the Lumiat would be able to give that to him. And forteen and her can heal together.

Dahawan Master - 9. Both of them lost there home by there own hands. Although it was for very different reasons, I think they could have an understanding of each other is some twisted way.

Gatiss Master - AU Doctor. just like the 3ed Doctor, this one seems to (not so) secretly enjoy the Master's company.

Do you think the different Doctors have a preference for which Master they encounter? If they had to pick one to find mid scheme which one would it be?

There's some obvious choices, but I'd like to hear what thoughts people have.

Don’t know if anyone else has made a post like this, I haven’t checked. I honestly think that the Dahwan Master comes before Missy, I know there’s a novel that says otherwise but I think there’s evidence.

Specifically the Cybermen. While Simm’s Master does have a final plot involving Cybermen he’s not really in control, he has influence but is not in charge and by the end is “on the menu”.

Dahwan’s Master is initially not involved with the Cybermen but eventually gains control over them when he steals the Cyberium from Ashad. We don’t see him lose the Cyberium when he’s dying so presumably still has it.

Then there’s the Cybermen themselves, when we see the Cybermen initially in 13’s run they are the Cybus model and the more advanced armored models that look like a mix of Cybus armor and Modasian design.

The Cybermasters take this design and make it more Time Lord Themed. They also have the fatal flaw that they have a finite amount of convertible bodies as the Time Lords are already dead and no new ones are being born.

11 & 12’s era’s Cybermen have a more streamlined design & incorporate flight into their capabilities which I think might imply that these are the later designs from after the Cybermen have run out of Time Lord bodies to upgrade and gone back to upgrading humans.

The have also learned to convert the dead into Cybermen, something that they didn’t seem inclined to do to the humans they killed in Ascension of the Cybermen, they however do this with the dead Time Lord bodies after The Master has the Cyberium, possibly indicating that this is something he taught them to do.

I also believe that Missy might have removed the Cyberium from herself and put it into the bracelet that she uses to control the Cybermen.

Like I said, this is just my theory on the timeline. Which I think enhances the Storyline rather than erasing Missy’s character Arc.

Also stop making the Cybermen the Master’s lackeys! They are a great villain on their own but haven’t got a non Master story since 2013!

What if...

Imagine Jade (aka Death) decides to play with the Master's - and the Doctor's - lives a bit for entertainment reasons and attracts & locks them somewhere remote in a room to play a game (more or less like the trivia game from "The Long Game" from 2005) and brings people from all over their lives to "participate" the games.

The trivia basically works like this: Jade ask the participant something about the Master's and Doctor's lives. If the participant gets it wrong they get a penalty that will apply for the next round or two or three - depends on Death's calculation system.

The companions of course are extremely nervous and so is the Doctor (imagine 13th) because they aren't able to talk while another participant is answering - or else a penalty will be applied for who interrupted and who was supposed to answer until the end of the game. The Master (imagine Dahwan) is mainly mad to be trapped and have his personal life exposed in such ridiculous way.

Let's suppose that there are roughly twenty-five participants in the room including the two Time Lords, and for the sake of brevity let's suppose it's all happening from the Master's point of view. So, of course he doesn't know half of the companions names but he - as a little shit he is - can see familiarity in most of their faces. All of their faces except one guy, of who he quickly becomes aware of when the Doctor gives him a puzzeld look as if also trying to figure out who is he.

They form their suspicions but each and every suspicion one of them has are dismissed as soon as the guy starts to say all the right answers to questions that no one there would know the answer but the Doctor and the Master.

Suddenly it's the Master's turn to answer and the question is a bit different from the others.

Jade: How is the title of Death's Champion is passed on? A) It is transmitted to the child, if there is one, of both parties involved. B) It dies when the Champion dies. C) It is passed on on random order. D) It is passed on to the current Champion's child.

And, as odd as the question is, both, Master and Doctor, knew that this game was to play with their emotions. And that there are a lot of questions meant only to confuse them. So confidently the Master answers "B) It dies when the Champion dies." and - not that he would admit - but he never saw a more cruel smirk in his life than the one Jade gave him.

"Wrong answer." Jade would answer and instantly the Master would brace himself for a punishment but he doesn't feel anything and looks up to the panel to see what punishment has been assigned since he doesn't feel any different.

"Letter A was the correct answer." Jade would proceed as the Master read the letters written in red.

Punishment: double the successor's drum noise.

A scream echoes through the place.

In a snap of head everyone is facing the guy who none of them know only see him kneeling on the floor holding his head with both hands.

It takes the Doctor a moment to process but when she does she throws a desperate look to the Master who can't get his eyes off their son screaming in pain.

How could he not recognize him?
