Imagine having a huge crush on Dahyun and your world exploding when you get a job working with her
Tumblr media
When your company asked you to host an event you said yes. You wanted to do more to promote your group Mamamoo as you weren’t the most social member and never volunteered for anything. You had the full support of your members and your friend BTS' Jin would also be hosting. You and Moonbyul were born the same year as Jin and became friends through a group chat. You were a little shy and personalities like Jin and Moonbyul's brought you out of your shell. So having Jin around as a fellow host would really help and you heard the two of you would be partnered up too so were actually excited about it...and then a week before you heard plans had been changed and your new partner was Twice's Dahyun. "I can't do it!" you said "I can't be her partner I'll never be able to speak or get my words out properly!" you said and Jin tried to calm you down. You were outside dress rehearsals and refused to go in the room because you were freaking out having just heard the news. "Y/n it will be fine, you can do this and Dahyun will have no clue". "How can you be so sure?" you asked and Jin patted your shoulder "how would she know?" he asked you "come on Y/n the only people who know are me, Moonbyul and your members and none of us would tell her. Just act normal and you'll be fine. Plus today is just dress rehearsal so you probably won't even be near her so much". You took a breath "yeah that's true". Jin nodded "and if it gets that bad I'll ask the manager if we can be partners instead, okay?". "You'd really do that?" you asked and Jin nodded "of course! So just give today a try and we have that if we need it, okay?". "Okay" you said feeling better "you're a good friend". "I know" Jin said smiling giving you a hug "now let's do this". The reason you were freaking out was that you had a small (huge) crush on Dahyun. You found funny girls so attractive and once you saw her Eagle dance you were hooked. She was so confident and unapologetically herself. You admired her so much and so started trying to be friends with her. You got pretty close and were on the stage of nodding and saying hi to one another whenever you passed at events...and then you realised you actually wanted to date her and got scared. Romance made you nervous and the second you realised what your feelings were you took a step back because how on earth would Dahyun want someone like you? All your members and Jin told you they disagreed and thought Dahyun would be lucky to have you but you weren't convinced and you'd been avoiding her ever since. It had been pretty successful too and you'd kept it up for a year but that streak was coming to an end.
You and Jin were the last two to enter rehearsals and the session started promptly. The manager introduced you all and then asked you to get into your pairs. You shot Jin a panicked look but he patted your arm and whispered "you got this" before going to stand with his partner Chanyeol. You looked across the room and saw Dahyun watching you. She shot you a big smile when you looked over and waved. You waved back and made your way over to her. "Hi!" she cried when she saw you "I'm so pleased we're pairs! This is going to be so much fun!". You nodded trying to mimic her energy "yeah so much fun...as long as I remember all my lines". "You will! I'll help you" Dahyun insisted "we can even meet up separately if you want to practice or anything". You nodded "yeah maybe" when the scripts were passed around. "Okay so we're going to run through once with scripts, give feedback and then a few more times without scripts. Sound good?". Everyone nodded and you flicked through the booklet. You and Dahyun had 4 appearances but only two of them were proper segments. Your first one was with Jin and Chanyeol and with Jin standing on the other side of you, you got through that pretty easily. The director said you were good which was reassuring. "You clearly know your lines and have good diction so just try and have fun with it!" he told you. You nodded but saw Jin trying not to laugh and couldn't resist a smile. Then your next scene was a little later and you and Dahyun stood waiting. "Have you ever done something like this before?" she asked and you shook your head "no, honestly I'm not the most social or confident person so I've never really been in front of a crowd that wasn't our fans". "Really?" Dahyun asked "that's so surprising you seem so chill on stage". You blushed, pleased she thought that and finally returned the question "what about you?". She shrugged "I've been performing since I was little so yeah but nothing on this scale. It's a bit nerve-wracking isn't it?". You were relieved to hear her say that and nodded "yes! I'd love to be one of those people who never get nervous in front of people. Jin's like that" you said watching him charm all the managers with his segment and couldn't help smiling. "Yeah but then it'd be too easy" Dahyun joked "plus I think it's really impressive that you are still doing this even if you're not the most social. It's really brave". You smiled "thanks! Let's see how it works out" and Dahyun smiled "don't worry, we're in this together" and you looked down so she wouldn't see you blush. Then the time came for your first segment together and you had the lines memorised, until the part where Dahyun makes a joke and leans in close to you. You lost your train of thought the second you made close eye contact with her and had to be prompted by the director to continue. You decided not to look at Dahyun for the rest of the segment but afterwards, the director asked you to do it again but with more interaction! You felt like you were going to combust on the spot and every time you looked at Dahyun it took you a few seconds to get back in the swing of it. You felt like the director made you run your section forever and when he said you could stop you rushed into the crowd quickly. Dahyun found you a few seconds later "there you are, so I thought that went quite well". "Really?" you asked and she nodded "yeah! All we've got to work on is our chemistry but I mean of course! We're not going to be super close from day one". You nodded "yeah that's true" but inside was just praying she'd not see how much your hands were shaking, Your second segment run-through was better, mainly because there was less interaction with each other and then the final closing skit was fine. The director called for a quick break and Jin found you "so you're doing amazing!" he said and you rolled your eyes "we both know I choked on that segment". "Not at all!" he said "you were just a bit stiff but that's to be expected, that's why we're having this run-through. Plus you know all your lines and have a good memory so it can only get more natural". "Here's hoping!" you said.   The rest of rehearsal was pretty much the same. You were fine with your lines it was just your delivery that went out of the window whenever Dahyun looked at you. Jin drove you home afterwards and Moonbyul was waiting for you in the garden, pretending that she wasn't. She prodded a plant and then hurried over "so how did it go?". "I'll tell you, if you can tell me what that plant's called" you said and she paused "erm a succulent?". "You totally just guessed!" you said but Moonbyul just smiled "I got it right so pay up". So you and Jin sat in the garden and you sighed. "It wasn't good" you said and Jin shook his head "Y/n was a little nervous and keeps beating herself up about it" he told Moonbyul and then explained what happened. "That's not bad!" Moonbyul said when you told her about messing up with Dahyun and you shook your head "I forgot I was speaking to the Queen of lesbians and the most confident bisexual in the world" you said and Moonbyul and Jun bowed respectively, quite pleased with their titles. "But seriously Y/n it's not bad, as Jin said it's your first rehearsal! Nobody expected you to be completely charismatic and I bet so many pairs were the same". You shook your head but Jin interrupted "they were Y/n you were just so in your own head you thought you were the only awkward one". "I just hope Dahyun didn't notice or take it personally" you said and again both your friends shook their heads. "Please she's so nice and was all smiles when you left" Jin said and then he turned to Moonbyul "she even asked Y/n for her number". "Only so we can practice" you said and Moonbyul shot you a smirk making you sigh but you couldn't resist a small laugh and that made the others laugh too. The laughing alerted your members you were back and they all came to ask you how it went. After your talk with Jin and Moonbyul, your perspective changed a little and you shrugged "it was...okay I guess" which made everyone smile.   A few days later Dahyun herself texted you! She asked how you were and if you wanted to meet up to practice one evening this week. Your members all encouraged you to go and so you found yourself heading over to the Twice house to meet with your crush. Dahyun opened the door with her signature big smile and your first thought was she looked amazing even when she was just dressed casually! She was wearing white jogging bottoms and a brown top but looked so pretty and you wondered how someone looked this good when they weren't trying. Dahyun ushered you in with a hug "come in! It's so good to see you" she said and you wondered if she was always this happy and positive. "You too!" you said "I've got my script and I brought some snacks" you said holding up the bag of snacks you'd spent an hour choosing in the supermarket with Hwasa who was ready to strangle you by the end of it. "That's so sweet!" Dahyun cried "you're so wonderful" and she took your hand and led you into the house where some of her members were sat. "Hey everyone this is Y/n" she called and everyone turned to look at you. You were acutely aware of Dahyun's hand on your arm and everyone's eyes on you but managed a smile "hi everyone thanks for letting me come over". "Of course" Nayeon said "Dahyun said rehearsal went really well because you were so organised". You blushed "Oh I'm not sure about that". "Hadn't you already memorised all your lines?" Momo asked and you shrugged "mostly". "See that's the idea MC partner!" Sana said and Jihyo smiled "I know what do you even need to practice? I bet Dahyun just invited you here for fun" and several of the girls laughed so you joined in. "Okay well we're going to head into the living room and practice" Dahyun said grabbing some drinks from the fridge and pulling you away. "Your members are nice" you said and Dahyun smiled as a sigh escaped her "they're embarrassing but yes nice, right so should we get to it?". You practised all afternoon and it actually got easier to look at Dahyun's beautiful face! You still got a flutter in your stomach anytime she touched your arm but you weren't as disabilitated and could smile and say your line. It was actually getting easier with each try and by the time you broke for food, you were able to joke back a little with Dahyun! You couldn't believe it and were so excited to tell everyone. You and Dahyun rehearsed a few more times before the event finally arrived! Despite pretty much having your sections down you were nervous and just wanted to get tonight over with. You didn't even register what the stylists had given you to wear and just smiled as the girls complimented you. It was only when Dahyun gushed over you that you took in the compliments. "Wow you look beautiful!" you heard Dahyun say and turned around to see who she was speaking to. "Me?" you asked and she laughed "yes of course you, the gorgeous girl in the stunning dress". That made you go bright red and you stammered for a while before thanking her and returning the compliment. "You look beautiful of course but you always do" you said and then went pink again. Dahyun smiled "aww you're so sweet to say that, how are you feeling about tonight?". "Nervous" you admitted and Dahyun nodded "yeah me too". "Really?" you asked and when Dahyun looked you, you looked down "I just meant you always seem so confident and never seem to get nervous". Dahyun shook her head "I've got a good poker face" and you suddenly felt quite protective over her. You had friends who were good at blagging their way through things and acting like they were okay and hated how they never received any help. You'd always been unable to hide your emotions and got a lot of support...so you wanted to do that for someone else. You turned to Dahyun and gently linked arms "well it's like you said, we've got each other and we can get through this together. I'm here for you". Dahyun stared at you for a few seconds and you worried you should've asked before touching her and she was upset but then she smiled. "That's so sweet Y/n thank you" she said "I'm really glad I got to work with you on this" and you nodded "me too...I mean work with you! Not me of course!". Dahyun smiled and nodded "of course, ready to go kill it?" as the managers started gesturing to you both it was time to get ready. You nodded and with more confidence than you felt cried "let's do this!". The night passed in a blur of emotions. You felt everything from intense anxiety when your queue to go out on stage was called, to humour as you watched Jin do his bit, to pride as you closed the show with Dahyun when another duo couldn't be found. You actually couldn't believe you'd gotten through it and told Dahyun that as she hugged you, "I knew you could do it" she told you and you blinked "how? You clearly know me better than I know myself". She shrugged "we're always harder on ourselves but I've seen what you're capable of Y/n and you're a beautiful badass powerful woman!". "I couldn't have done it without you!" you told her "you were amazing Dahyun and I've always admired you. What I said earlier I wasn't being nice, I think you're incredible!". You were so caught up in the adrenaline of successfully finishing a show you were bolder than usual and you noticed Dahyun blush a little but didn't berate yourself for your words. "Wow to hear someone like you say that..." Dahyun said "I'm a little overwhelmed". You patted her arm "don't worry you don't have to say anything back" and Dahyun nodded when she was suddenly attacked. A swarm of girls descended on her and you jumped before realising it was Twice. You smiled as the girls all hugged and congratulated her and when Dahyun started chatting to them you backed up and went to find your own group. They all demanded you go out to celebrate and you agreed heading to the afterparty. "I saw you with Dahyun" Wheein smiled "was there something going on there?". You blushed "I confessed a little to her" you admitted and all four girls, who had clearly been eavesdropping, screamed. You told them to calm down but they hyped you up so much that when you did see Dahyun later you were expecting something to happen...but she seemed content with her friends and stayed away from you. As time passed, the buzz faded but still Dahyun hadn't said anything to you. You'd passed her earlier on the corridor too but she hadn't seen you apparently and didn’t make eye contact with you. So you were starting to think you'd done something wrong and Jin caught your expression "no that's the Y/n is overthinking stuff expression!" he said and you sighed and explained everything to him. Jin privately agreed that sounded odd but wasn't going to tell you that. "She's probably just stunned from tonight or tired but either way we don't know and sitting here stressing isn't going to do anything so that's not what we're going to do" Jin said and before you could ask what he meant he yanked you upwards. You protested all the way to the dancefloor but couldn't say no to Jin and soon found yourself dancing with Jin and then Exo as he pulled Chanyeol over. Jin supplied you with alcohol to keep you buzzed and after a while, you felt better again. Dahyun made your night but Jin saved it. You didn't hear from Dahyun after that night and it did hurt a little. While you hadn't confessed your feelings to her you had been more upfront with her than you ever thought possible so her silence was a slight blow. You tried not to think about Dahyun but it was hard, especially working in the same industry. You saw her or heard a Twice song at pretty much every Kpop event and finally came face to face with her a month later at the sporting event Isac.
You realised Dahyun would be at the event but still paused as you saw her. You'd told yourself you were over her now she'd unofficially rejected you but then you saw her smile and knew you still had feelings for her. Still, you told yourself to just keep moving forwards and with time your feelings for her would dim. So you kept to yourself and went about your business. You were quite athletic and managed to win a few races and the Moomoos were amazing cheering for you. You were just coming back from one of your races when a conductor asked you to wait before going across the track to sit down. You promised you'd wait and turned to watch the race when you heard a small commotion. You heard laughing and turned your head to see Dahyun standing up and facing away from the track. She was moving her arms around in weird shapes and you wondered what she was doing when you realised Dahyun was commanding the onces in the stands. Any direction she moved her arms in they followed with her light stick and she was loving it. You found her so cute and couldn't help but stare. Many other idols were also watching her and her members looked a mix of embarrassed and amused. You definitely found it funny and were smiling without even realising it. Then Dahyun suddenly turned and looked at you. You looked down embarrassed you'd been caught but when you looked back up Dahyun was still looking at you. She shot you a big smile and waved you over. You froze and asked "me?" and Dahyun laughed before nodding "of course!". Dahyun quickly took your arm and pulled you beside her "Come try it, it's so fun!" she said. Luckily moomoos were right next to onces so you copied Dahyun and the Moomoos copied you. It was actually quite fun! You could do anything and they'd copy you. You did some random movements you thought would be amusing and then started to do the opposite of Dahyun so the onces and moomoos were going in different directions. Dahyun noticed and started going faster so you had to speed up too. You didn't even have time to notice how cute she was! The two of you carried on competing, getting faster and faster until suddenly a starting gun went off and you both jumped. "The race has started" Sana explained and you and Dahyun both laughed because you'd forgotten there were even races. "I guess we should behave then" Dahyun said and she pulled you towards the seats, the Twice seats! You looked over at your members wondering if you could really just sit with Twice but nobody batted an eyelid as Dahyun pulled you to sit next to her.  "Thanks for Indulging me" Dahyun said and you smiled "thanks for inviting me. It was fun". Dahyun smiled back and then turned to watch the race. You were sat rather close together and you could feel her hair brush your arm anytime she turned. It made you indescribably happy for some reason and for a second you got the instinct to put your arm around her! You shook the thought from your head and moved away from her a little. You couldn't let your feelings make you do something reckless and had to be on your guard around Dahyun. Literally as you were thinking that, Dahyun suddenly turned to you with a smile. "so how have you been?" she asked "it's been way too long, it's a month this weekend since our partnership together" she said and you nodded surprised she remembered. "I've been good" you said and she smiled "I saw you winning all the races, how many medals do you have?" she asked looking at the array on your chest. "Only three" you said and Dahyun sighed "I don't even have one! I kept getting beaten". You paused "oh well you can have one of mine if you want?". Dahyun's face completely changed and she shook her head "oh no I wasn't fishing for one I promise". "No it's fine" you said getting the strong urge to make her happy like last time. Dahyun hesitated but when she saw you were serious she took the medal from you and smiled at you "you're so good to me". You blushed and struggled to speak "I just want you to be happy" and Dahyun beamed. "Well I always am around you" she said and she pulled you closer to her and linked arms. You were slightly taller and Dahyun hesitated to lean against you but you moved your head so she could lean against you and she actually leaned into you! Dahyun stayed nestled against you for 30 minutes until you all had to move. Even then you walked together and Dahyun kept looking at you with such a happy expression on her face. It made you wonder if the past month's worrying had all been for nothing and you wondered why Dahyun hadn't been in contact with you if she did like you. You didn't ask her though and when she queued up with Twice you waved to her and said goodbye. You went over to your members who had very wide smiles on their faces and completely missed that they were wearing the same expressions as Dahyun's members. After that, you didn't really see Dahyun and then the event ended. You didn't mind though. You were really happy with the interaction you had and were still glowing from Dahyun grabbing your arm. So you were slightly in a daze as you waited for your car but you heard giggling and then suddenly felt someone tug your hand "Hey Y/n, we're going to this restaurant downtown to celebrate Nayeon hosting" Dahyun said "it's really nice and we've booked the place out. Would you like to come? You can bring your members too!". You blinked at having her smiley beautiful face so close to yours but smiled back instinctively. "We'd love to!" you agreed and then looked at your members "sorry I just answered for us all".  Solar smiled "no you're right, we'd love to". Dahyun nodded to them and then looked at you "that's great, I'll text you the details and we'll see you there then". "You got it!" you replied and Dahyun squeezed your arm before moving away. When you arrive Twice were already there but they rushed to greet you. The girls were so friendly and you found yourself sitting next to Dahyun with Nayeon on your other side and Sana across from you. "So Y/n Dahyun tells us you're super hard working" Sana said "have you always just had amazing work ethic?". You paused "hmm not always. At school I used to get in trouble for not trying hard enough because I can be super efficient and hard-working but only for things or people I care about". For some reason Nayeon and Sana smiled widely when they heard that response and Dahyun coughed and changed the subject. "Did you know Sana got that scar from trying to grab meat too quickly?" Dahyun said and you looked from her to Sana and then to the scar. You smiled "I've done that too" and pointed to one on your forearm "but mine was pizza" and Sana grinned "great minds think alike...or act alike" she said "you know what I mean" and you nodded with a smile. "So Y/n do you have any pets?" Nayeon asked "Dahyun loves animals!". You nodded "I do too but I don't have any pets at the moment because I don't think it'd be fair to them. But I had a golden retriever growing up and I cuddle her every time I go home. She has the cutest puppy eyes, I can never say no to someone with cute eyes and I think it's because of her". Again Nayeon and Sana smiled and a thought occurred to you. "You've got a dog right? Ari?" you asked Dahyun and she smiled "yes how did you remember that?". "Because you told it me" you said confused why Dahyun thought you wouldn't remember and Sana made a high-pitched noise before Nayeon hit her. You thought she was choking and quickly passed her some water. "Are you okay?" you asked after she'd drank some and she nodded "yes thank you!". You turned back to Dahyun who was still smiling "so how is Ari?" you asked and Dahyun smiled "he's good, I've got some photos if you want to see them?". "Yes!" you said and leaned in to look at them. Once again missing the glances from pretty much everyone at the table. After you'd all eaten everyone started milling around drinking, dancing etc and it was nice. You chatted to Jhnyo and Tzuyu whom you hadn't really spoken to before and every time Dahyuun saw you she'd shoot you a big smile. Jihyo caught her doing it and laughed as you blushed. "She's so sweet" you said "I think she knows I'm not the most social person so she keeps shooting me reassuring smiles encouraging me" you explained. "Oh is that why she can't take her eyes off you?" Jihyo asked and Tzuyu smiled. You paused at Jihyo's tone and smiled "yeah at least I think that's why she's watching me...why do I have something on my face?". "No, you look beautiful Y/n" Tzuyu said and Jihyo nodded "exactly so we can't blame Dahyun for admitting you" and you went bright pink. Dahyun quickly realised if any of her members would be bold enough to confess for her it'd be Jihyo so she quickly nipped this conversation in the bud and managed to get you alone. As she walked away Jihyo mouthed "tell her" with thumbs up and Tzuyu nodded making Dahyun feel all fluttery because that was the signal that you liked her! Dahyun led you to an area outside where none of the girls were around and sighed. "Y/n I've got something to ask you and I hope you keep an open mind" Dahyun said and you nodded "okay. Whatever it is, I'm here for you". Dahyun smiled and nodded "okay well here goes...I like you". You immediately went bright pink and looked away which Dahyun hoped was a good sign. "I like you too" you said casually, trying to deflect the situation and Dahyun was tempted to pretend it was as friends but knew her members would kill her so soldiered on. "No Y/n I mean as more than friends, I have a crush on you" she said and your jaw dropped "what? Seriously?". Dahyun nodded "yeah and I thought I was so obvious!". "No you weren't" you said "I mean I'd hoped you'd liked me but I never thought you actually did" you said and Dahyuun smiled "so you return my feelings?". You nodded and Dahyun went to step closer when you froze. "Wait are you sure? What about all of last month when you ignored me? Did I do something wrong?". "No it's not that it's just...I thought you and Jin were together". "Jin from BTS?" you asked shocked and Dahyun laughed "yeah that one". "Why?" you asked and Dahyun shrugged "I guess just because you two seemed really close. You were together a lot in rehearsals, I saw you two come together and how he hugged you outside, and then you just seemed physically close as in you weren't scared to put an arm around one another or whisper and I guess I just misread the situation" Dahyun said "but you're not dating?". "God no!" you said before pausing "sorry that seems rude, Jin's lovely just I'm very gay and he's a guy". Dahyun smiled "yeah that makes sense" and you blushed at how pretty her smile was. "It's also a really big relief to hear you say that" she admitted "I thought there might be something between us but I got scared and then when I saw you dancing with Jin at the afterparty I thought you must be together. That's why I took a step back, I didn't want to get hurt but I didn't stop thinking about you". Once again you were stunned because your situations were so similar and you told Dahyun that. "No way!" she cried "wow we were just meant to be huh?" she asked. Hot Dahyun did make you feel weak at the knees but you remembered her comment about having a great poker face and reminded yourself she was all bark no bite. "I think we are" you said gently touching her waist and pulling her close "do you think it's finally time to kiss you?". Dahyun's confident mask faltered and her eyes widened as she nodded. This time she stammered before nodding "yes, please...I mean I don't mean please but you don't have to kiss me if you don't want to" she said flustered. "No I want to" you told her and showed her. After the kiss Dahyun rested against you, her arms wrapped around you. "I know I act really confident but that all melts away around you" she admitted "I can't act cool around you". You smiled "yes you can, you've been doing it the whole time! But I appreciate what you're saying, you give me a reason to be more confident...to defend you. Not that you need protecting or anything just I want to always be there for you". Dahyun went to speak and a weird noise came out of her mouth making her eyes widen in panic but you burst out laughing. This made Dahyun laugh too and you were soon in stitches. The girls came to investigate what was going on and found you clutching each other trying to stop laughing. "Dahyun is everything good?" Jeongyeon asked and Dahyun "everythings great" and took your hand. The room exploded at that and Dahyun buried her head in your shoulder giggling at the chaos she'd caused. "You're enjoying this aren't you?" you asked and she nodded "yeah a little bit, they've been telling me to ask you out for ages". You nodded "my members have been doing the same. I feel like we should get presents for finally doing it". "You're the only present I need" Dahyun said and you both laughed at her line. "Smooth" you said "can I expect more of this suave sophisticated flirting machine?" you asked and Dahyun nodded "oh yeah, you're stuck with me now" and you smiled "I can't think of anything better".
______________
My first Twice imagine! This all came from my crush on Dahyun because being funny and not caring what others think is so attractive!
I also think Jin and Moonbyul would be such a funny duo and the best friends to have.
FYI - I took creative liberty with Moonbyul and Jin’s sexualities and I hope it goes without saying I’m not claiming they are those sexualities. Just there is nothing wrong with being bisexual or a lesbian and I always aim to have my work as diverse as possible. There is no evidence they’re not gay and so I decided to imagine they were. That’s it.
Hope you enjoyed it and feel free to request any other female idols you’d like to see more of!

men dni.
It's not your fault.
It's not your fault.
It's not your fault.
It's not your...
Is it really?
The rain beats down on your black umbrella, the lines from Dahyun's letter playing over and over in your head. It feels like you're trapped in a vicious cycle, not being able to think of anything else.
But why?
Why didn't she tell you?
Were all those conversations about the mutual trust between you two a lie? Was it just talk to keep you from worrying?
If someone had told you a week ago that you had to be at her funeral because she had killed herself, you would have laughed at that person. Dahyun was always the happiest person you've ever met.
Even if you had been told that a day ago, you wouldn't have believed it. Because in theory, it's the stupidest thing you've ever heard.
In his letter, she wrote about how much she loved you, how she enjoyed every minute and every moment with you, how it's not your fault that she's not here anymore.
She's probably right, not just probably. She's right, and you know it. But you can't stop blaming yourself. Someone has to take the blame. Someone is responsible.
You could have helped her.
You should have helped her.
Tears run down your cheeks as you stare at her grave. Her family, her friends, they are all gone. You stand here alone, not daring to leave.
'Kim Dahyun
Born on may 28, 1998.
A friend, daughter and lover.
She will continue to live in our souls.'
It feels like your eyes are glued to the writing, you can't look away. You try to regulate your breathing, taking a deep breath.
A sigh leaves your mouth as you place the white rose next to the gravestone.
You take one last look at her grave before turning and slowly walking away.

"I'm Y/n, nice to meet you all."
You look at the students in front of you, all of them giving you strange looks. Of course, you are a new student, but you feel uncomfortable under their gaze. The teacher smiles at you and tells you where to sit, next to a girl called Mina.
It's as if everyone has forgotten about you again as the teacher starts teaching. You sit down next to Mina and she smiles at you.
"Nice to meet you," she whispers. You smile at her.
You can't talk to her for long because she starts taking notes for the lesson. You look around at the faces of the others. It actually looks like a normal class, but your eyes land on a girl.
She looks shorter than you, her hair is brown as well as her eyes. She's wearing a white t-shirt.
"Have you laid your eye on someone?" asks Mina, laughing a little.
"No!" you answer, a little too loudly, and you put your head on the table as a few people look at you. "I was just looking at her," you whisper.
"Yeah yeah... that's what they all say" she says.
You slowly lose yourself in your thoughts as memories of Dahyun come flooding back.
Should you even look at other girls? Is it bad?
Would Dahyun hate you for trying to find love again?
It's been more than two months since she died, but you can't stop thinking about her.
Maybe it's normal, your behavior. Your overthinking of everything, maybe you're not the only person who feels this way? Maybe there is someone else who is just as lost in their thoughts as you are.
Maybe you are simply not alone.
However, your thoughts are interrupted by the bell and Mina.
"I can show you a few things here at school if you want," she suggests, and you gratefully accept her help.
You spend the whole lunch break running after her while she shows you around.
"Why did you change schools anyway? Your old one is a pretty well-known one, and much better than here," she asks, before taking a bite of her sandwich.
The question makes you wonder, and you think about whether you should just lie to her and say that you moved, or that you were somehow bullied at your school - but somehow it feels wrong. Because you neither moved nor were you bullied. No, everything was actually fine.
Actually,
Somehow everything changed after her death.
Your classmates started looking at you funny, and you still don't know whether they are looks of pity or looks of condemnation because they blame you.
"I don't know" is your answer, and somehow it's true. Sometimes you really have no idea why you changed schools, but Mina doesn't need to know the whole truth.
She just nods in response as she continues to eat.
"The girl you were looking at in English, her name is Jihyo by the way" she says.
What?
"Why are you telling me this?" you ask.
"Because you were staring at her a lot - you looked really interested in her" she replies with a little grin.
"How many times do I have to tell you, I wasn't staring at her..." you laugh a little, but can't hide your despair. Why does she think you're interested in her?
-
"Watch out!" someone shouts, but before you can react, a basketball hits you.
You fall to the floor, your head hurts and you feel slightly dizzy as you slowly open your eyes.
The girl from your English class is kneeling on the floor in front of you, looking at you, trying to see if you're okay.
It's like a cliché high school movie.
"Are you okay?" she asks, a couple of other girls come over, but she just tells them to get something to cool off and shoos them away.
The things that can happen when you want to visit the gym...
You nod slowly, after a few blinks your vision is no longer blurry.
Another girl comes back and hands Jihyo a cold pack.
"Here, take this," she says and puts it in your hand, her hand on your shoulder to support you.
You hold it to your head, biting the inside of your cheek slightly from the cold.
Before she can say anything else, she is called by his coach, at the same moment Mina comes to you.
"I was looking for you," she says and helps you up.
You watch Jihyo jogging across the field before you leave the gym.
-
New week, new luck?
Every day you tried desperately to talk to Jihyo somehow, but suddenly she was always gone after class and you were never put in a group together.
But it looks like luck is on your side for once.
"Here's the list of groups, you have to give a presentation in pairs on a play of your choice," your English teacher announces.
You look at the picture projected on the wall.
Chaeyoung and Mina,
Sana and Miyeon,
Jihyo and Y/n,
Jeongyeon and...
Wait, what?
You read the list again and once more you see your name and Jihyo's name next to each other.
"Jihyo and Y/n," you say quietly.
"Are you happy?" Mina asks teasingly with a grin on her lips.
"Are you happy that you have to work with Chaeyoung?" you ask back - Mina doesn't answer.
Before your teacher can give you any more homework for the break, the school bell rings and everyone rushes out of the classroom.
You walk (or rather, run) to Jihyo who is packing her things away.
"Hey, I was wondering when we should meet," you say, and she looks up at you and smiles. You feel your cheeks turning red.
She puts on his backpack and stands up.
"How about Friday afternoon? My place?" she suggests and you nod.
She takes a pen from her pocket, "Give me your hand," she says, you are confused but do it anyway.
She opens the pen with her mouth, the cap between her teeth as she gently writes on your hand.
Her phone number.
It feels like she's giving you an autograph.
"Text me and I'll send you my address," she says, and before you can answer, she walks out of the room.
You look down at your hand and see a little smiley face next to her number.
You can't help but giggle as you look at it.
-
You stare at your phone - up to her front door and back down to your phone.
You are 10 minutes early and don't dare to ring the doorbell.
"You know you can just ring the bell?" someone asks you, you look up and see Jihyo smiling at you.
"I'm early, that's why-"
"Not a problem," she interrupts you.
She lets you in and closes the door behind her.
Her house is beautiful, modern and yet somehow old-fashioned.
"My parents aren't here, so I thought we could study in the living room," she says, and you nod, leaning your backpack against the table.
"Water?" she asks and you take it gratefully.
You drink a little before she sits down across from you.
You both leaf through the books, take notes, talk briefly about certain passages, but otherwise no one says anything.
Jihyo decides to break the awkward atmosphere.
"I wanted to apologize again, for the basketball," she says, and you laugh a little.
"You don't have to apologize, things like that can happen," you reply.
"Have you ever had a girlfriend?" she asks, and instead of answering, you are completely silent, thinking.
Memories of Dahyun come back while Jihyo looks at you and waits for your answer.
"Yes, I did, but she died a few months ago," you answer.
She nods slightly, "Can I ask how he died?" she asks in a quiet, polite tone, as if she really wants to make sure that she's asking something that doesn't hurt you in any way.
"Suicide," you say, short and meager, without many details (whether you know many details at all is another question).
She looks at you with a supportive look, one that makes you feel like she's really listening and that she really understands you.
Maybe she understands you even more than you think?
She puts her hand on yours with a slight smile.
"Thank you for confiding in me," she says, your cheeks slightly flushed, hers too.
You both look at each other for a moment before she lets go and you both go back to work.
-
If only the work had gone on for longer.
After the one meeting, you saw her every day of the vacation. Always with the excuse that you supposedly "need to add something" (does going to the movies together add something to your project?).
It's been more than a week since you first met.
"You're in love," Mina says as she parks her car in front of Jihyo's house.
"I-"
"Don't even try to find an excuse, it's all good" she replies with a small grin.
You both get out of the car and walk to her house, the music so loud you can hear it several meters away.
How Jihyo, who is slightly drunk, hears the doorbell is also a mystery to you.
"Hey guys!" she greets you, she shakes Mina's hand and gives her a kind of high five, she gives you a hug.
You smile at her as the three of you walk into the living room.
"I'm going to Chaeyoung," Mina whispers, or rather shouts, in your ear before disappearing.
"Y/n, do you want to play a drinking game with us?" asks Jihyo, you nod.
Maybe it was a stupid decision.
Jihyo and her friends (of whom you only know Jeongyeon) only understand drinking games to mean taking shots and asking stupid questions.
Either answer - or drink.
You always chose the second option.
After about 7 questions (maybe more, maybe less - you lost count of that pretty fast) you get up and say that you need some fresh air.
Since you've been to her house several times, you know where the upstairs balcony is.
It's quite big, with a parasol and two folding chairs. You sit down on one and close your eyes, your head throbs a little.
"Are you okay?" someone asks after a few minutes.
To your surprise (not really a surprise), Jihyo stands next to you before sitting down on the chair to your right.
"Yeah, it's just the alcohol," you say.
You and alcohol, not really a good combination.
Especially not when you're sitting next to the girl you're in love with.
"Do you have a girlfriend?" you ask out of nowhere.
She shakes his head, "I thought it was obvious" she says and laughs a little.
"I love you" you confess.
She turns to you, but before he can answer anything, you keep talking.
"I know we haven't known each other that long... a month?? more? less? but-... I just have this feeling with you that I only used to have with her"
"I thought I'd never feel it again," you say, a tear running down your cheek.
Jihyo looks at you, her eyes slightly watery.
Is she crying too?
"Y/n" she says, interrupting your continued rambling.
She gets up, kneels down in front of your chair, and -
kisses you.
Her soft lips on yours.
She pulls away after just a few seconds and you already feel like you miss her lips.
"I love you too Y/n" she says softly.
You look at her in amazement.
"Really?" you ask.
"That's why I asked if you had a girlfriend" now it all makes so much more sense.
She pulls you up and takes you to the guest room. She tries to lay you down on the bed but you pull her with you and she falls on top of you.
You both stare at each other and laugh a little.
"You're drunk, get some rest," she says, kissing your forehead.
"I'll be here when you wake up"
-
And she really is next to you when you wake up.
"Good morning..." you groan as you rub your eyes.
She smiles at you, "good morning" she says, from the look on her face you suspect she woke up just a few minutes before you.
You pull her closer to you by her collar and kiss her, she kisses you back while her hand is on your cheek.
The kiss is just perfect, gentle, slow, a perfect way to start his morning.
But it can also be perfect in another way.
It gets warmer under the covers as you continue kissing, she kisses down your jaw to your neck, leaving a trail of wet kisses on it. You can't help but rub your thighs together a little.
"What about the others?" you ask.
"I kicked them out yesterday after you fell asleep" she says, continuing to kiss your neck, even nibbling on it, making you let out soft moans.
"Jihyo, I think you should know that I am a virgin" you say, your cheeks heating up a little in embarrassment.
She giggles a little, kissing you on the lips again.
"Nothing to be embarrassed about baby" she replies with a smile.
She gets on top of you, continuing to kiss you.
You think kissing Jihyo is the best thing in the world.
Her hands trail over your body, giving you a soft squeeze here and there.
"Can I?" she asks, her hand playing with the buttons on your pants.
"Please" you answer with a smile.
She complies and opens them, pulling off your pants and leaving you in your underwear.
You sit up a little, your hands on her waist, feeling up her muscles, especially her abs.
"Want me to take it off?" she asks, you nod.
She pulls off her shirt over her head, dropping it somewhere on the floor.
Your finger trails up his stomach to her bra, looking at her like she is a work of art (she definetly is one).
"Done admiring me?" she asks with a teasing grin, to which you reply "never".
She leans down again, kissing your face as she starts to trail them down till he arrives at the waistband of your underwear.
"Can I?" she asks again, "yes" you answer, already out of breath.
She takes your underwear off, her hands placed on your thighs as she leaves kisses everywhere.
You can definetly tell that she has a thing for kissing.
When she places a kiss right on your clit though, you let out a small moan.
She begins licking and sucking on it, making you grab her hair with your hands as your fingers curl deeper into her scalp, leaving a delicious burn.
She drags her tongue down as she circles your core, slowly entering it a little.
You let out more moans as you turn your head to the side, moaning into the pillow.
Her tongue feels so good when you realise that you are closer and closer to your climax.
"Jihyo- I think I'm gonna-"
"Let it out princess" she mumbles against your core, the vibrations of her voice stimulating you even more as you cum into her mouth.
She smiles at you as he sits up, watching you coming down from your high.
You smile back at him as your cheeks turn red again.
"Can I?" she asks, her fingers trailing down your soft skin as her nails scratch you a little.
You look at her hand, a few veins poking out, her fingers thin but long.
You look at her again, nodding.
You pulled her closer as she rubs your clit with her fingers, you suck in your breath as she slowly pushes them in, the little stretch burning in a way that makes you even hornier.
She slips them in completly, you let out a moan in response. She takes your hand with her free one as your fingers intertwine.
She starts to slowly thrust into you, kissing you again as her tongue explores your mouth.
"You're so tight baby.." she mumbles into your mouth.
You can't help but let out louder moans when she starts to speed up a little.
Her fingers drive you crazy, it feels like she is everywhere, you feel her everywhere in your body as she exits and enters you.
"P-please jihyo- faster" you moan out, and who would she be if she wouldn't listen to your wishes?
She speeds up her thrusts, kissing down your neck again as her hot breath hits your skin.
Your hand grips the pillow your hand is laying on, moaning against your arm as you can feel Jihyo curling her fingers.
She thrusts into you again before you moan loudly, cumming as your thighs close around her wrist, panting heavily as she lets herself fall onto the spot next to you.
You both stare at the ceiling, the only sounds the heavy breathing from you.
You move her hand to yours and intertwine your fingers. She moves her head to the side to look at you, smiling.
You think seeing her smiling is something you can never get enough of.
-
Idiots in love, thats how you two can be described.
The next few months were full of love. Kisses here, kisses there. It didn't even have to be sexual, no, it was always romantic, no matter what you did together.
After a few months, she gave you a ring.
"One day I'll buy you an expensive, real diamond ring and ask you to marry me," she said, and since then you've both worn the matching rings without taking them off once.
If only it had stayed that way.
It's late at night, you're lying in bed reading a book when you get a message.
"I love you,
I'm sorry" - from Jihyo.
You sit up and stare at your cell phone.
"What's wrong?" you type and send the message, she replies,
"I can't take it anymore"
She can't take it anymore?
You feel a twinge in your head as you suddenly realize something.
It's too similar to Dahyun's goodbye.
"I can't live in this world anymore" she wrote in her text.
You look at her location, and without hesitation you walk, no - storm out of your apartment and run to her.
She's not far away, a bridge situated over a river only 5 minutes away, and you think you've never been so grateful for anything.
You squeeze your eyes shut, trying to see anything while your clothes get wetter and wetter, the rain completly drenches you.
Again it feels like a cliché love drama.
Only maybe this time you have the chance to have a happy ending.
Your legs are burning from all the running as you arrive on the bridge.
"Jihyo!" you shout, the rain pattering loudly on the asphalt, forcing you to shout even louder for her.
Her bike is right next to her, one leg over the railing, her hands gripping it tightly, as if she's...
Scared?
"Y/n?" she answers, her voice low and shaky.
"Please..." you say as you walk slowly towards her.
She doesn't stop you when you take her hand in yours.
"Why didn't you tell me?" you ask, she looks at you as a tear runs down her cheek.
"I-... I didn't want you to worry. I thought this feeling would go away if I didn't talk to anyone about it," she says.
Whether your face is wet from the rain or your tears, you don't know.
"Believe me, you have to talk to me, then it will get better," you say.
Her face comes closer to yours and, without answering, she kisses you.
You kiss her back, try to grab her so you can hold her closer - but she lets go.
Completely.
You slowly open your eyes, afraid of what you will see - but you see nothing.
No one.
The rain completely overwhelms you.
"No..." you whisper, looking down on the floor and picking up something shiny.
Her ring.
You look out over the railing and see the water turning slightly red.
It feels like you're trapped in a vicious circle, like you'll never find peace again.
You are trapped, with no way out.
-
While other people find the rain soothing, you find it to be more like torture.
While other people would stay indoors in weather like this, you're outside again.
Again in front of a grave.
But this time it's Jihyo's.
Everything feels too similar and you hate it more than anything.
"It's not your fault" is a sentence you started to hate.
You hoped so much that you would never have to hear or read it again.
"Why didn't you talk to me..." you whisper, as if she could hear you.
Your hand clutches the letter, it slowly getting soaked by the rain.
You don't dare to move.
"You knew what happened..."
All time does is passing -
"Why did you hide it from me..." Your voice is full of despair.
And all you ever do is grieve.
"Life without you is no way to live" the white flower falls on his grave -
just like her ring,
engraved with your name.
She helped you recover from Dahyun's death.
You just wish you wouldn't have to recover over her death alone now.
In another universe, you've seemed to found your place in Jihyo's arms.
In this universe, you're left alone,
again.

keep it going all night (don't stop)
-- dahyun / tzuyu, 3.55k. smut // overstimulation, exhibitionism. dahyun's just a liiittle mean and sana makes a brief appearance // MEN DNI
where do they get all this energy, anyway?
Tumblr media
dahyun doesn't know where tzuyu gets all this energy.
“i- i can't, tzu,” she pants, pushing at tzuyu's wrist.
her eyes are already falling close, and she's all but knocked out in between laboured breaths and weak trembles.
tzuyu, on the other hand, still has a palm on her thigh and the same lidded gaze she had when she dipped her fingers under dahyun's shorts an hour ago.
though, she obeys anyway and pulls back her hand.
“are you okay?” she asks, voice exceptionally tender despite her messily wet fingers.
“mhm,” dahyun mumbles, head lolling to the side. “you were… really good.”
there's a pleasant buzz in her tummy that could coax her to sleep any moment, but she also desperately wants to repay the pleasure.
“are you?” dahyun continues, urging tzuyu to come closer.
“i am if you are,” tzuyu grins.
she lays a reassuring kiss on the tip of dahyun's nose, calming dahyun's heartbeat, but dahyun isn't quite convinced.
“that means you're not.”
tzuyu only keeps smiling. she brushes stray wisps of hair off dahyun's forehead, even though dahyun's sure it's too messy at this point to be saved. “sleep, unnie. i’ll clean up.”
dahyun throws an arm over tzuyu's neck to keep her in place.
they're not even undressed, so she can't imagine tzuyu's had enough already.
“i'm not sleepy. tell me what you're thinking about, please?”
she plays with the baby hair on the back of tzuyu's neck idly, intent on looking right into tzuyu's eyes.
tzuyu has never been the type to get off from just being on the giving end – dahyun knows she's thinking about something; knows she wants more.
“unnie, don't look at me like that.”
“like i want to know what filthy thoughts you're having right now?”
tzuyu bites her bottom lip, eyes darting. “... i don't know if you'll like it.”
dahyun slips her palm down the tzuyu's cheek, bringing tzuyu's focus back on her. “i'll love it as long as it makes you feel good, you know that.”
their eyes meet for only a moment before tzuyu panics again. “you don't have to if you don't want to.”
dahyun lets out an endeared chuckle. “i don't think i'll ever not want to try, but i promise.”
tzuyu sucks in a breath and lays her forehead on dahyun's shoulder.
“okay,” she says, then swallows.
“can you be a little, um… mean...? to me?”
dahyun's frowns slightly at the unfamiliar suggestion.
she knew tzuyu loved being praised, but this sounded like the complete opposite.
“like, calling you a… slut?” dahyun tries.
“no!” tzuyu jolts up, though still awfully flustered. “not… not the names, but something like that. just… i don't know. like… be mean, but still say i'm good..”
dahyun's mind blanks for a second, then suddenly there's warmth blossoming from the base of her neck up to her cheeks, and her imagination runs a little.
“oh.”
she wonders how long tzuyu has been thinking about this – and how tzuyu has only now just told her about it. a part of dahyun flushes at the thought of tzuyu becoming even more submissive under her, but another part of her melts at tzuyu's vulnerability.
before she can conjure up a coherent response, one that could encapsulate all her feelings, tzuyu pulls away to stand up.
she presses her palms over her face to cover its reddening hue, embarrassed. “it's okay, forget it.”
dahyun reacts instantly. “no, let's try.”
she scrambles to stand up, reaching out to touch tzuyu's elbow reassuringly. she gently tugs tzuyu hands down, prompting her to look at her, careful.
“really?” tzuyu asks meekly. her palms fall from her cheeks, but dahyun can still feel the tension in her shoulders.
“really,” dahyun catches her wrist and intertwines their fingers, rubbing her thumb soothingly.
she steps closer, then whispers carefully into tzuyu's ear; lets her breath hit tzuyu's jaw. “just tell me when to stop.”
tzuyu's heart flips and she feels like she should say something – but all the words stuck in her throat come out as a squeak when dahyun kisses the skin right below her earlobe, slow and soft.
“hyun– ”
“sit down, baby,” dahyun husks, in her velvety low timbre that always makes tzuyu melt.
tzuyu sits and stares up wordlessly as dahyun moves to straddle her lap. her hands automatically find purchase on dahyun's waist before dahyun pushes them away.
“no touching.”
tzuyu pouts. “unnie…”
dahyun pinches her cheeks and raises her brows cheekily. “do you want me to tie you up too?”
she means it as a joke, but then tzuyu starts pursing her lips and clutching at the sheets, and dahyun knows how to read her all too well.
she scratches tzuyu's chin lightly, smirking. “i'll use the silk, hm?”
they don't use restraints much, or toys for that matter, but dahyun guesses this is special enough of an occasion.
as she rifles through their closet for that largely untouched box, tzuyu remains frozen in place.
“i said no touching, not no moving,” dahyun chuckles, returning to her lap once again.
there's a nagging voice in the back of her head telling her to be mean, but she also really can't help pampering whenever tzuyu freezes up like that, too shy to make a move. it reminds her of their first time together – though, in a way, this was their first time, too, doing something a little different.
dahyun traces her fingers from tzuyu's shoulder blades down her wrists, then brings tzuyu's palms together in between them.
her gaze darts back up to tzuyu's eyes, a silent request for permission that is promptly given under dilated pupils and anticipating nods.
tzuyu's skin looks incredibly pretty against white silk, dahyun realises. maybe they should touch that box more.
“you are a sight to behold, tzu,” she whispers, almost struck breathless.
dahyun pushes tzuyu back, dragging her bounded hands over her head as she falls.
she tries taking it all in – tzuyu's doe eyes, tzuyu's already heaving chest, tzuyu under her. she doesn't think she could ever tire of this sight.
“i'll stop everything the moment you say stop, okay? or just put your arms down and tap my shoulder twice.”
“i can take it,” tzuyu insists.
dahyun smiles. she barely even has to set the mood – tzuyu's brought herself all the way in.
“already so eager to please – aren't you such a good girl?”
she knows it's contrary to what tzuyu had requested, but she also knows praise gets tzuyu going just as well.
by the looks of tzuyu biting her bottom lip and as red as dahyun has ever seen her before, she's absolutely right about it.
dahyun presses her wrists into the mattress forcefully. “keep your hands up here for me, dear.”
she leans over to give tzuyu a kiss, but when tzuyu turns her face to try and capture her lips, she stops just short of them.
“not yet,” she juts.
tzuyu gapes a little, surprised.
dahyun lays a peck on her cheek. “that'd be too nice, wouldn't it?”
a tinge of helplessness flashes across tzuyu's face, but dahyun ignores it in favour of peppering kisses down her jaw, nipping lightly. her hands move to tzuyu's waist, nails scratching against skin as she hikes tzuyu's shirt up.
it's enough to make tzuyu squirm as she tries to keep her arms above her head, brows furrowed tight.
dahyun palms her over her bra and she lets out a whimper. her back arches immediately, curving into dahyun.
“you like this?”
dahyun pushes the fabric up higher and pinches a hardened nipple, before running over it with her thumb. tzuyu yelps in response, shoulders shrinking as her body twists. her hips rise instinctively, but dahyun keeps her down.
tzuyu has never been vocal in bed, not past those quiet sounds that leave the back of her throat, and dahyun has never minded it – though, today seemed like the perfect day to try something new.
“you're breathing so hard… and we haven't even done anything,” dahyun muses.
she drags her other finger between tzuyu's chest, then over the dips of tzuyu's ribs as it tenses under her touch. tzuyu's shirt is bunched up at her collarbone, so dahyun can only imagine it's even more suffocating for her than usual.
“you want me to touch you that bad?”
she's not one to tease this much, but she lets it roll off her tongue anyway, and watches tzuyu's reaction.
tzuyu's pulse races beneath her fingers, skin on fire.
dahyun leans forward, tilting tzuyu's chin towards her, coy and calculating.
“you want unnie to use you?”
tzuyu stiffens under her.
for a moment, dahyun's afraid she might’ve said the wrong thing. she's ready to drop it all and apologise –
but then tzuyu nods, eyes pleading, stomach undeniably clenching under her.
dahyun raises a brow.
“you're so filthy, tzu.”
tzuyu doesn't deny it; only ruts her hips in an effort to draw dahyun's attention there.
“be patient.”
she whimpers when dahyun presses a thumb on the edge of her lips, and opens her mouth instinctively.
dahyun drags the pad of her thumb across tzuyu's bottom lip before she knocks her nail against tzuyu's teeth.
“suck.”
tzuyu takes her finger into her mouth obediently. her gaze strays, embarrassed, but a moan still escapes and her eyes still flutter when dahyun pushes her thumb deeper, opening her mouth wider.
dahyun would ask tzuyu to keep her focus on her, but she can't help being a little soft when tzuyu sounds this good.
“you make all these pretty sounds, all for me,” dahyun drawls.
she pulls her finger out, along with the drool dripping down her palm and tzuyu's cheek.
“why don't you tell me what you want with words?”
“unnie…” tzuyu huffs, slightly out of breath.
dahyun sits back intentionally. “i don't mind waiting.”
tzuyu, however, with her jaw hung open, eyes hazy – she might just be a little impatient now.
“touch me,” she mewls, pitch high with equal parts of shyness and desperation.
“what's the magic word?” dahyun hums. she rests a hand on tzuyu's chest, rubbing her drool-coated thumb over the sensitive nub. “i want you to beg, baby.”
tzuyu almost sobs. she arches into dahyun and lets out a choked moan as dahyun's mouth finds her other nipple, licking and lapping languidly. a steady wave builds in her tummy, and it's terribly hard to ignore when dahyun is sitting right on her.
“please– please touch me down there, hyunnie,” tzuyu cries. “i'll be good, i'll keep my hands up, you can use me, please, unnie, just don't wanna cum like this–”
there're tears welling up in her eyes now so she squeezes her thighs together, trying to find some friction but also trying to stop herself from coming so unsatisfyingly.
thankfully, or maybe not so thankfully at all – tzuyu really isn't in the headspace to decide – dahyun stops right when she's on the verge of falling apart.
“that's my girl,” dahyun coos. tzuyu sounds wonderful.
she licks her lips, then her fingers; then she's off, pulling tzuyu's sweats down.
“legs open, pretty.’
tzuyu listens without hesitation. dahyun settles in between her thighs.
she leaves tzuyu's underwear on, watching the damp spot slowly forming on the fabric. tzuyu's incredibly soaked through, her lust and desire painfully prominent even if she refuses to voice it without prompting.
dahyun presses the pad of her middle and index finger on the spot, teasing. “what a mess…”
tzuyu flinches instinctively. her entire body jolts upwards with a whimper when dahyun rubs up to her clit over the cloth, smearing her arousal. her arms fall below her head unconsciously, naturally seeking to pull dahyun closer despite being bound.
dahyun clicks her tongue and retracts her touch. “what happened to keeping your hands up?”
tzuyu whines at the loss. “unnie, please…”
“you're so desperate to be used you can't even go one second without whining?”
tzuyu swears she could cum from dahyun's voice alone at this point.
she has half a mind left to raise her arms again, mumbling brokenly in between. “s-sorry, but please.”
dahyun's expression softens – she's never been good with apologies – but she sets the thought aside, keeping tzuyu's initial request in mind.
normally, she wouldn't wait a second to pleasure tzuyu, but a little edging now and then never hurt anyone, did it?
she moves her fingers back to tzuyu's centre, sneaking below the fabric. dahyun sucks in a breath at the warmth engulfing her hand, but focuses on rubbing small circles over tzuyu's clit. tzuyu practically melts, throbbing with every touch and coating dahyun's fingers with wetness.
her digits slide almost effortlessly against tzuyu's heat, coaxing out quiet moans.
when the sounds heighten, growing into whimpers, dahyun knows it's time to slow down.
“you're gonna cum without asking?”
the cries leave tzuyu's mouth so easily after that.
“ah– unnie, please please please, let me...”
if her hands weren't tied together, she would be tugging on dahyun's wrist herself, but all she can do now is beg.
“please, i'm close…”
dahyun smiles, satisfied. she dips into tzuyu’s heat again, and this time, she doesn't stop rubbing until tzuyu cums.
she speeds up when tzuyu starts moaning and furrowing her brows, knees folding into dahyun and stomach clenching.
tzuyu pants heavily, thighs shaking and trembling as dahyun continues dragging out her high, spreading her slick all over. her bounded wrists are red and aching by now, and she honestly can't wait to be untied so she can finally put her hands on dahyun.
once she’s caught her breath, she peeks under her hooded eyes, expecting dahyun to come up and release her.
though, dahyun seems to be thinking about other things.
she clicks her tongue, showing tzuyu her hand. “look at how filthy you are.”
her fingers are webbed up with tzuyu’s clear arousal, sticky and warm, and it makes tzuyu’s cheeks flush. dahyun peels her ruined panties off, slathering her cum over her skin as she goes.
without warning, she dives in again, licking up tzuyu's folds and collecting the arousal greedily. tzuyu squeaks, still feeling the oversensitivity from her previous orgasm.
“unnie–! wait–”
dahyun ignores her pleas and spreads open her clamped thighs cruelly. usually, she would check in first, knowing tzuyu didn't have much stamina when it came to this – but she simply couldn't wait. maybe all that being mean was getting to her head, because now all she wanted to do was listen to tzuyu cry her name all night.
she presses the tip of her tongue against tzuyu's clit before pushing it flat, then sucks gently. tzuyu's back grows taut, arching off the bed sharply. she mumbles out a cacophony of unnies and pleases, every other word long forgotten the moment dahyun laid her mouth on her.
when dahyun's tongue finds her clit again, lapping slowly, she cums almost immediately.
“hyunnie,” tzuyu puffs out weakly, chest heaving. it's so soft that she's not sure dahyun can even hear.
she hides her face under her bicep, unable to keep her arms up straight anymore. tears stain her skin, all messy and wet and limp.
dahyun comes up to capture her lips in a comforting kiss, melting into one another despite the lewd undertones of saliva mixing with slick.
tzuyu thinks its the end of it when dahyun takes hold of her wrists, but instead of untying her, dahyun pushes them into the sheets once more.
“wh– ”
she's cut off by a vibration.
their eyes dart to the sound from dahyun's phone, but neither move.
dahyun keeps her hands on tzuyu's and retrieves her phone with the other.
“it's sana unnie,” she announces.
tzuyu lets out a sigh, happy to have found an excuse to catch her breath.
for some reason, dahyun doesn't get off her.
rather, she leans down to kiss tzuyu's tears away, and her grip tightens.
“give me one more,” she whispers.
“i-i can't… and s-sana unnie…”
dahyun picks up the call and tosses the phone aside. it's right up tzuyu's alley.
“hello? dahyunnie!” sana's voice rings.
dahyun keeps her voice steady. “hey, sana unnie. did you need something?”
as she speaks, her fingers trail down tzuyu's tummy, pressing her palm over the base of it.
tzuyu mewls, centre throbbing all over again. she bites down on her bottom lip harshly, brows twisting in a meagre attempt to keep quiet.
“i was just wondering if you and tzuyu wanted to come over tonight to watch the seollal fireworks together. is tzuyu there?” sana chirps.
dahyun smirks, sinful.
“is tzuyu here?” she echoes. her fingers slip between tzuyu's folds, prodding in.
tzuyu whimpers softly, rutting her hips.
she knows she could mouth the words, shake her head once, and dahyun would get off without hesitation; knows that the knot bounding her is loose enough to be slipped off herself – but she also knows she's terribly turned on now, even if she's sensitive all over, and that there's a part of her desperately begging for dahyun to keep going with sana listening.
“y-yes, i'm… here,” she manages, albeit a little high pitched and broken.
there's a pause on the other line, then sana speaks again. “are you two… are you sick, tzuyu?”
as tzuyu thinks of a response, dahyun thrusts two fingers into her slowly, then out again. tzuyu shivers and turns her head into the mattress in a panic, words lost in low moans.
“hello?” sana asks again.
dahyun is merciful enough to help.
“she's okay, just… distracted.”
“ah,” sana muses, sounding a little coy herself. knowing her, she's probably already guessed. “enjoy yourself, tzuyu. call me back?”
it doesn't take long to bring tzuyu over the edge again, not after hearing sana say that – another thrust and a curl of dahyun's fingers, a practised thumb to her clit – tzuyu cums a third time with a silent scream, cracked whimpers escaping her throat.
“stop, stop,” she sobs quietly, tears blurring her vision.
dahyun lets go of her hands instantly and carefully pulls her drenched fingers out.
without even bidding goodbye, she hangs up the call and returns to tzuyu's side, untying the silk. though, tzuyu's too exhausted to do anything but lay limp in the same position.
“was that too much?” dahyun asks, worried.
she rubs up and down tzuyu's stomach soothingly, trying to ease her oversensitivity.
tzuyu lets her eyes fall close, enjoying the relief dahyun was providing.
“three times… is enough,” she mumbles.
dahyun wipes her tears away with the back of her hand. “did i push too far? are you okay?”
tzuyu shakes her head. her chest rises and falls comfortably, and her mind feels like it's on a warm, velvety cloud.
“i liked it,” she assures. she brings her hand to dahyun's cheek, guiding dahyun in for a proper kiss.
dahyun continues planting kisses all over her face, even as tzuyu loses the focus to maintain the kiss. she runs a thumb over her hairline, brushing the hair out of tzuyu's sweaty forehead.
“does that mean i did well?”
“really well,” tzuyu smiles dreamily.
she ducks her head, only then noticing the mess she made on dahyun’s fingers and their sheets.
“i probably need a shower…”
“i’ll help.”
“ah, no,” tzuyu protests.
they've never been able to keep their hands off each other in the shower, and she doesn't think she can handle a fourth time, especially not standing up. she’ll have to make do with this drowsiness if she doesn't want to wake up with sore muscles tomorrow.
“i’ll shower; you change the sheets.”
dahyun traces teasing circles over tzuyu's waist. “i'll be good.”
“you won't.”
“but you like it when i'm a little mean, no?
//
tzuyu comes out of the shower sweatier than when she got in.
she runs through her skincare as dahyun changes the sheets, and once that's done, she flops down carelessly, legs sore. she doesn't know where dahyun gets all this energy.
dahyun chuckles, patting tzuyu's thighs. “up, i'll dry your hair.”
tzuyu sits up begrudgingly. dahyun comes behind her with a blow dryer and her towel.
the gentle whirring of air on top of dahyun's fingers through her hair lolls her right back to sleep.
she's awoken by another call to dahyun's phone, but doesn't stay alert long enough to listen in.
she's told it's sana when dahyun leans over to whisper into her ear – “do you still wanna go over to sana unnie's?”
tzuyu stirs a little at the name. “... do you think sana unnie could tell? just now?”
dahyun pats tzuyu's hair down comfortingly. “probably. she just joked about joining us.”
tzuyu groans and lies into dahyun's front, slightly distraught. “i'm too embarrassed to go.”
dahyun laughs, but doesn't try to convince her otherwise. she puts the phone back to her ear.
“i think we'll sit out of this one, unnie. we'll visit tomorrow, i promise – sorry again!”
dahyun is quick to end the call; or maybe sana still thinks they're doing things – tzuyu isn't keen to find out.
“you liked it, though. didn't you?” dahyun teases, after she's hung up. “maybe we'll take sana unnie up on that offer, hm?”
she kisses the spot under tzuyu's earlobe, and tzuyu goes red all over again.
she decides she doesn't quite have the energy to entertain that thought –
not yet, anyway.

Moonlight Sunrise (Part 3)
Minatozaki Sana x reader
Part 1 Part 2

GENRE: angst, fluff, non-idol
TYPE: Short fic

The deafening roar of the crowd behind you rang in your ears as your heart accelerated with anticipation and nerves, much like the feeling before delivering the killing blow to your target. It was the night of the competition, and contestants had gathered in front of the well-protected gate of the labyrinth, an alarming contrast to the decaying metal gates you had seen when you met Sana. Contestants of all sizes—scarred, muscular, frail—braced themselves, readying to enter the labyrinth. Most carried large backpacks, heavy armor, and multiple weapons, each likely costing more than your life savings. All you had was a small knapsack with enough food for a week, your trusty dagger, and a new crossbow crafted by Minjeong specifically for the competition.
As the royal mage lifted his wand and pointed it to the sky, a dark green mist shot up high with a bang, signaling the start of the competition. Dozens charged forward, roaring their own cheers before disappearing into the dark mist covering the entrance of the labyrinth. You, however, lingered back, giving Minjeong and Momo a slight nod of reassurance before quietly slipping into the darkness.
The moment you stepped between the towering ivy-covered walls, the outside noise disappeared, leaving an eerie silence. As your eyes adjusted to the lack of light, you noticed several entrances aligned in front of you, just as Sana had told you. Taking a deep breath, you took the route on the far right, sending a silent prayer to the moon goddess herself.
Relieved to find the route deserted, you carefully made your way forward. Screams from afar echoed within, along with roars too brutal to be human. You were no stranger to the monsters dwelling in the darkness but preferred to stalk your prey instead of engaging in direct confrontation. Hand-to-hand combat was not your specialty, as you lacked the stamina for this kind of battle. Dealing with monsters at the start would ensure you never reached the stone. It was best to evade rather than face any beings head-on.
As you moved forward, time seemed to stretch endlessly. After what felt like an eternity, marked by the occasional easy combats with a hideous harpie and a whale-sized tarantula, the ground grew darker underneath your feet. The hairs on your arms stood on end as you pressed onward. Your instincts urged you to turn back, but with no way out of the maze and no escape without the stone, you ignored the warnings.
Before you knew it, grey mist began to rise, shrouding your surroundings in clouded darkness. Groping blindly for the labyrinth walls, you continued on, taking deep breaths to calm the thudding of your heart.
"Unnie?" A familiar voice called out to you in the darkness.
You flinched at the sound; the voice sounded eerily similar to Yeji's. Ignoring her calls, you continued forward.
"Hwang Y/N." The weathered voice of your deceased master whispered in your ear, making you freeze in place.
"I missed you," Yeji's voice called out again, as sweet as sunshine. "When are you coming back?"
"I'm proud of you." Your master's voice echoed in your ears again, trembling through your frame. "You grew up well."
Your heart thumped loudly in your chest as you grabbed your dagger in your hands and quickened your pace blindly. Forest Sirens. One of the deadliest and most vicious creatures to ever grace the earth, choosing to play with their prey, making them grovel in fear and pain before consuming them.
"Where are you going, unnie?" Yeji's voice continued to follow you. "Are you going to leave me here? Again?" Her voice got louder and more aggressive as you continued to tune out her voice.
"You could've saved her, you know. Dahyun." Your master's voice cut through your footsteps, making you stumble a bit before stopping. You knew fully well that your master was no longer there with you, but the words still managed to tear open your heart.
"But you were too weak." Your master's voice cackled, like nails on a chalkboard, piercing through your ears.
"Why didn't you save me?" Suddenly, a ghostly pale face emerged in front of you, Dahyun's face contorted in an eerie smile, her eyes only whites.
"You let me die." Her face was so close you could smell the rotting flesh.
You coughed, stepping back and losing your footing, falling to the ground.
A wrinkled, long hand grabbed your ankle, tugging you toward its direction.
"Did you ever love me?" Dahyun's voice prickled your head, feeling like your heart was going to be ripped in half.
You swiftly sliced the hand with your dagger, cleanly severing the appendage. A shriek and wail echoed, before another hand grabbed your shoulder in the darkness. You couldn’t see anything, just the occasional haunting, inhumane faces of Yeji, Dahyun, and your master. Countless hands grabbed you, slicing open your skin as you tried your best to fend them off. The haunting voices continued to echo, each word poisoning your blood.
At this rate, you were sure to die. There were too many of them, and you could no longer find the right direction in the pitch darkness.
Your enemies would have had a field day of the fact that one of the deadliest assassins to ever grace the earth couldn't even fend off forest sirens.
Out of desperation, you remembered the compass that Sana had given you. Fumbling with your pockets and stealthily swinging your dagger in the dark, you accidentally dropped the compass as another hand sliced through your shoulder.
The compass hit the ground with a crunch, the glass screen shattering. Before you could react, a blinding light emerged, revealing Sana in the flesh, her skin illuminating the darkness. The creatures, blinded by the light, emitted wails of pain.
Sana's glowing red eyes scanned the surroundings before focusing on you. "Let's go," she muttered, her eyes tightening at the sight of you covered in blood. She grabbed your hand and dragged you forward, leaving the wails of the sirens behind, slinking within the shadows trying desperately to avoid the light. You paused after a few steps, reaching down to scoop up the broken compass, when Dahyun's mimicry grabbed you with its wrinkled hands.
"Y/N!" Dahyun called out, her ghostly pale face contorted in pain as it reached for you. "I love you."
Sana paused at this, a twinge of annoyance bothering her, though she couldn't put a finger on why. Instead, she took out her anger on the siren whose hand was still grabbing yours. With a forceful kick to its face, she continued forward, leading you out of the siren-infested area.
As soon as you were out of the mist, you collapsed on the ground.
"Thanks," you muttered, visibly shaken by the previous events.
"You're really not as great as what people said about you," Sana snorted, putting her fingers up to her chin as she looked at you. "I can't believe you couldn't fight sirens, nightwalker."
You groaned at her words; it was a huge blow to your ego.
"They just caught me off guard."
"Who? Your lover?" Sana teased, trying to mask the strange feeling gnawing inside her.
"Yeah. I mean... no, she isn't, wasn't—" You sighed, rummaging in your knapsack for some bandages. "Never mind."
Deciding to let you off the hook, Sana grabbed the bandages and water from you and began to clean your wounds in silence. You sat there, hissing slightly as she cleaned the gash on your forehead.
“I’m sorry,” you said, playing with the broken pieces of the compass in your hand.
“For what?”
“For breaking the compass. I promise I’ll get it fixed when we leave this maze.”
She bit her lip, focusing on your wound. “It’s fine. It’s pretty old, anyway.”
You couldn’t help but stare at the princess in awe. She was even more beautiful than what the books had said; they didn't do her justice. She was hauntingly beautiful, her eyes seeming to tell a thousand stories, and in those eyes lingered loneliness and sorrow. The years in the labyrinth had taken a toll on the princess. You found yourself intrigued by this human-like being in front of you, wondering what she was like before. Happier, perhaps.
Noticing your eyes on her, Sana felt her cheeks burning.
“What?” She met your eyes, confusion in her expression.
You merely shrugged, giving her an easy grin.
The princess flicked your forehead in annoyance, trying to act nonchalant to your staring.
“Did you bring me more of those cakes?”
“Of course. How could I dare to forget the princess’ orders?”
“Stop calling me that!”
.
.
.
.
The next few days in the labyrinth passed fairly smoothly, with only a few encounters with easy monsters here and there. Having Sana by your side made the darkness of the labyrinth less lonely. She kept you company, or for the most part, annoy you with her endless questions and reckless behavior. Nevertheless, you noticed a change in her demeanor; the haunting sadness in her eyes seemed to disappear, replaced by a more playful and youthful version of herself. You couldn't help but notice her flirtatious personality, which often left you speechless with her flirting and clingy touches.
“What are you doing?” Sana widened her eyes in wonder as she looked at you collecting the leaves of nightshades from a bush nearby.
“Creating nightshade powder.” You said, continuing to crush the dried leaves with a rock.
“Why?” the princess inquired, and proceeded to pluck a berry from the nightshade bush and throw it into her mouth.
“Because they are so poisonous you can knock down a full-grown hum—” You lifted your head to see the sight of Sana casually popping the poisonous berries in her mouth and swinging her legs as she sat on top of a tree, nearly sending your heart into cardiac arrest.
Panicked, you quickly pulled her down and made her spit out the berries, holding her warm face in your hands and squeezing her soft cheeks in an attempt to make her comply.
She merely grinned and continued chewing slowly. “They taste good. I’m not human anyways.” She licked her lips slyly, eyes flittering to your lips.
Lost in her eyes for a brief moment, you suddenly became aware of the proximity of your faces and the awkwardness of the situation. Hastily, you released her and took a step back, stumbling a bit before clearing your throat.
You quickly handed her a small leaf folded into a packet filled with the poisonous powder, and avoided her eyes.
"Put this in your pocket. If anyone comes near you, throw this in their face."
.
.
.
.
"Why are you called the NightWalker?" Sana asked randomly as you attempted to start a campfire on your sixth night in the labyrinth. The cold was becoming more biting as you neared the center of the labyrinth, and snowflakes began to fall.
You merely shrugged, struggling to ignite the damp wood.
“Is it because you sleep walk?”
"Seriously, Sana?" you sighed, rising from the pile of wood and shooting the princess an exasperated look. She had a knack for throwing you off with her random thoughts.
"What? The name sounds pretty lame, so I guess it has something to do with sleepwalking," she mused, enjoying your annoyance. "You also talk in your sleep, by the way."
Sana shivered slightly in her thin gown. You sighed again, as annoying and insulting as she was, you couldn't help but care for her. Seeing her discomfort, you took off your cloak and draped it around her body before returning to tending the nonexistent fire.
The princess’ heart fluttered at the gesture. You were growing on her, and she couldn't deny her feelings for you. Your care for her had softened her heart, making her fall for you faster than she had ever thought was possible. Also, she couldn’t ignore how attractive you are, because you looked so good with your tattooed arms flexing as you tried to star-
"I guess we can only settle for this tonight," you remarked, breaking her train of thought. A small fire, barely enough to warm your hands, now crackled weakly at your feet.
You raised an eyebrow at her, noticing her staring. She quickly averted her gaze, flustered.
“What?”
"Nothing. You just look stupid wearing a tank top in the snow," she retorted, trying to hide her embarrassment at getting caught checking you out. A slight blush lingered on her cheeks. The sight of your exposed skin wasn't helping her focus.
“Wow.” You glared at her playfully, “After working my ass off to get the fire going, all I get is an insult?”
“Shut up.” She muttered, her ears still tinged red.
The two of you huddled under the cloak, trying to warm up under the harsh weather. You were trying your best to ignore the tingling feeling whenever your arms brushed against Sana’s. The two of you ate dinner in a comfortable silence, a measly bread and ham for you, and a cup of apple cider for Sana (according to her, she didn't need food ever since she was cursed, but enjoyed the treats you brought).
“What is the first thing you want to do when you leave the labyrinth?” You asked.
The flickering flames of the small fire reflected in her brown eyes as she pondered over your question. After spending so many years trapped in the labyrinth, she had started to lose hope of ever seeing the outside world again. Hence, she never allowed herself to imagine what she would do upon leaving, worried that she would grasp onto false hope.
"I don't know," she muttered, a hint of melancholy in her voice as the sadness from her past resurfaced. "Maybe visit the seaside? I heard that's where my mother is buried, so I'd like to visit her.."
You had heard stories about the queen passing away not much after Sana was cursed into the labyrinth. She had died from grief of losing her daughter to the darkness.
“I’m sorry.” You murmured, trying to comfort her, but you were lost at words.
“It’s fine. It’s been a while.” Her voice cracked as she tried to wipe her tears discreetly. “We used to watch the sunrise together before everything happened. Now, I don’t think I can ever see the sun again, but at least being with her for a while would be enough.”
You hesitated slightly, before shuffling closer and wrapped your arm around her gingerly. She let out a content sigh, and leaned her head on your shoulders. You tried your best to ignore the feeling of her cool breath on your neck, and focused on consoling the broken-hearted princess.
“If you want, I can take you there.” You said after a while, Sana’s sniffles had now gone away and she switched to tracing the intricate patterns of your rune tattoos. “Someone I kno—knew used to live there.”
"Who? Dahyun?" Sana teased, pinching you playfully. Despite the circumstances, she couldn't resist teasing you about your love life. After the incident with the forest sirens, Sana had been curious about your romantic history and had pestered you relentlessly until you told her about your childhood friend and former lover, Dahyun. You had dated her for several years before she left you for someone else and tragically passed away during a mission.
Sana thought it was stupid of Dahyun to leave you - after all, what could she possibly see in someone else when you had everything a girl could dream of? However, she kept her comments to herself, knowing it was inappropriate to speak ill of the dead. She was however, slightly jealous and irritated that you were still hung up on your past lover.
"Yes... But Yeji is also there, too at the moment." You cleared your throat, feeling uncomfortable under the princess's narrowed gaze.
Satisfied at your answer, she put her head back on your shoulders. "I'd like that. Besides, I have to follow you after we leave the labyrinth anyway. Half of my soul is in the stone."
"I'm not going to tie you to me, Sana," you said, frowning at the thought that she still thought you were after the prize her father had set. " You should have your own life. I'm not bringing the stone with me, nor am I going to accept your father's offer of making you marry me."
"So you don't want to marry me?" Sana teased, noticing the goosebumps appearing on the tattooed arm she was clutching.
You cleared your throat, a habit she had noticed you do whenever you were flustered, and quickly stood up from the warmth of her embrace.
"Let me gather some more leaves to keep the fire lit when we sleep," you said, scratching your neck awkwardly. Sana found you unbearably cute, too cute to be a trained killer.
When you returned a few moments later with a handful of twigs and leaves, Sana was sitting there patiently, holding out a scrap of paper she had ripped off from your makeshift map.
"What's this?" you asked, confused, as she handed you a pen and the paper.
"A contract." she stated simply, giving you another of her charming grins.
You quickly scanned through the words, her neat handwriting befitting royalty, stating that you must take her to the seaside village any time per her request.
"Seriously?" you asked incredulously before signing your name underneath. "You have zero faith in me."
"An assassin's oath is as solid as a sugar teapot."
"What's that even supposed to mea—"
Before you could finish your question, shouts and hoots echoed from the far end of the open space where you were staying, cutting you off. It seemed that the surviving contestants had made an alliance and caught up to you. You quickly pulled Sana behind you and reached for your crossbow.
“Hey Nightwalker!” A bear-like silhoutte called. It was the scar-faced man from the bar. “Fancy seeing you here.”
Surrounded by his people, he was no longer the weak, nervous man you had threatened in the bar. You narrowed your eyes, annoyed at his ego.
"Who's that pretty lady behind you?" the man next to scar face cackled. You recognized him; he was once a guardsman who had killed his three wives, been sentenced to death, and managed to escape.
They were drawing closer, and you could make out there were four people in total.
"Wouldn’t mind sharing your girlfriend with us, would you?" Scarface said again, licking his lips disgustingly.
Sana flinched at that, her small frame shaking behind you as you pulled her closer. She had had a few run-ins with contestants like this throughout the years, and she had only narrowly escaped each time.
Trying to keep yourself composed, the twitch of your eyebrow betrayed your anger at their comments and their implications.
As the men stalked closer, you quickly pulled the hood of your cloak over Sana to block out the reflection of the moonlight on her skin. A soft glow of moonlight always lingered on her skin, an effect of the curse.
“On my mark, run to the back and hide in the shadows. Cover your skin.”
Her eyes widened in fear, but she decided to trust you. This was the most serious she had ever seen you.
“This is the real reason I’m called the NightWalker.” You gave her a lopsided grin as pitch-black mist started to emit from your skin, from the rune tattoos, quickly spreading out from your body and covering the area around you like wildfire.
“What is she doing?” one of the men shouted, their footsteps thundering loudly as they charged toward your direction. The entire area soon was engulfed with mist, making it hard to see.
“Now, Sana,” you whispered and kicked dirt over the small campfire, the last source of light.
Then everything was dark.

"You could have sent me a message" is the first thing Jeongyeon says to the woman who just entered her office bowing ninety degrees with a serious face. "This better be important, Mina-ssi, no one should see you enter this building" she says, warning the young woman.
She just nods as she looks for the right words thinking about the dialogue she has been practicing in her head since she decided to address this issue face to face without intermediaries. At first she hesitates, but decides to be clear instead of beating around the bush.
"Excuse me Jeongyeon-nim, but I think this will interest you" she finally speaks and the other waves her hand inviting her to sit across the table of her huge office, making her take a seat immediately before continuing. "ZoneTech is starting to work on video games."
As soon as those words leave her mouth, the Signal Systems CEO's face changes and her body takes on a different posture, her jaw tightens and her fists clench tightly. On the other side of the big desk Mina, analyzing her every move, notices her obvious frustration. For a few seconds she remains silent waiting for any question or comment from the other woman, but this one, who is somewhere between surprise and anger, does not utter a single sound beyond a breath that deepens and accelerates as the rage invades her. This is a personal attack. It’s not the first time something like this has happened; after all, this whole war has been going on for more than half a century.
In 1942, friends and partners in business, Yoo Byungho and Park Youngho, opened a home furnishings store. At that time, the country was going through difficult times with the Japanese occupation and the subsequent Korean War that led to so many years of political instability, but thanks to Yoo's creativity and Park's sales skills, the business not only survived but grew from a humble store to a small and promising company. In the early 1960s, a new era of prosperity would come for the country and for these entrepreneurs as well when they expanded the business importing and selling  household appliances, founding Zone Systems. Unfortunately, due to constant disagreements between Yoo Byungho and Park Youngho, this pioneering company would not reach its fifth anniversary, as the partners broke their alliance and created Signal Systems and ZoneTech, respectively. Against all odds, taking different paths was the key to success for both.
Today, Signal Systems and ZoneTech have established themselves as the most important companies in the country, having a great influence on economic, political and cultural development. Despite the impressive achievements of each of them individually, it is impossible to talk about one without mentioning the other, the reason for this is not the shared origins but the numbers, data and rankings always place one behind the other with slight difference, if one year the market has been dominated by ZoneTech, it is most likely that the following year those numbers will be surpassed by Signal Systems. If you ask any technology expert, economic expert or ordinary consumer which brand is better, the answer will never be unanimous.
And it is a really complex answer since both cover the same businesses such as consumer electronics, technology, finance and, in recent years, have incorporated entertainment. The only thing that makes them different is that SignalSystems is known for creating and using the most advanced technology always wrapped in the most sophisticated designs, while ZoneTech stands out for making that technology accessible to the general public with more affordable prices and more practical designs.
This is how a disagreement between partners has now become a war between the largest South Korean business groups, a battle that has been going on for six decades and in which four generations of the Yoo and Park families have already participated. A dispute that is now at its peak since the great-granddaughters of the two businessmen, Yoo Jeongyeon and Park Jihyo, took over as CEO, and, like their ancestors, they were friends before they were rivals.
"How do you know?" is the first thing she asks.
"Well, as you know I am a programmer. This last month they have been doing individual interviews to workers from each of the departments telling us that they are looking for new ways to organize the work teams according to our interests, aptitudes and skills, since they want to release different products next year and they need the highest efficiency" she begins to explain confusing Jeongyeon, who doesn't quite understand what Mina is trying to say with all of this. Still she listens to her carefully trying to get answers.
"At first they were normal questions about our work interests and whether we had hobbies related to our work, but when I mentioned my liking for video games they seemed interested. The questions started out generic... what kind of video games I play and so on, but then they asked me if I think the company would have the capacity to create their own games and if I would be interested in working on that hypothetical project" she seems to conclude.
The CEO, with an increasing anger, gets up from the desk without knowing what to do with her hands and tries to calm down her nerves before speaking "I want information, I want data and I want documents that prove what you tell me, that's what I pay you for, not for you to come to me with assumptions''. At no time she raises her voice, but her tone is stern and threatening, although not enough for the programmer to lose her signature serene demeanor.
"I know, that's why I didn’t come until now" she replies "I was handed this morning" she says as she takes a folder out of her briefcase and puts it on the table.
Seeing that it is a folder with the orange logo of the rival company neatly printed and partially covered by a red and black stamp warning that it is confidential information, she returns to her chair and takes the papers in her hands. A quick read is all it takes for Jeongyeon to come to the same conclusion as her informant "ZoneTech is going to create a video game" she mutters to herself. As she reads her jaw tightens again and her fists clench the pages until she stands up and begins to scan each page. When she has a copy of the thirty pages that make up the document, she places them back in the folder and returns it to its owner.
"You may leave, Mina-ssi" is the last thing her boss says and she does what she is told, taking the folder and her briefcase, not without bowing before walking through the door.
Once she is alone in her office, she goes through the papers again, this time more carefully and without losing detail. Unlike Park Jihyo, she does get involved in the development process of many products, as both her hobbies and her studies have always leaned towards engineering and programming and not on business and economics like her rival. In fact, the ten video games that have been released in the last three years under the Signal Games brand were Yoo Jeongyeon's own idea and creation, who saw an opportunity in this market in which the company never dared to venture before. Perhaps this is why she gets the best of her for the first time and grabs the phone.
"Dahyun-ssi, I need the usual apology basket for Miss Im, but this time write ‘thank you’ on the card" she asks her secretary.
Just a few meters away from the door of her office, Kim Dahyun tries to hide her surprise and takes note of the instructions given by her boss "Okay, you will have the basket ready in an hour. Should I also add the usual bouquet with flowers that mean friendship, or would you rather I also exchange them for thank yous?"?"
"Mhm… good point, Dahyun-ssi, I hadn't thought of that. Use both of them and add some blue if possible, I trust you. When it's ready, send everything to her home and also free up my schedule for the rest of the day. Thank you very much."
Of course, the favor she asks to her longtime best friend, Nayeon, costs her more than a basket of her favorite foreign snacks, three packages of the best meat on the continent and of course the latest model of the Signal System cell phone. ₩ 10 billion for his next movie is exactly what it costs her. That is the price of Jihyo's personal phone number. For anyone else it would be crazy, but for the CEO, who was putting her friend in such a compromising situation after the latter had for years stayed out of the fights between them, the price seems more than reasonable.
The negotiation was not easy, but as soon as Nayeon had the basket on her doors and the first payment for the financing for her next film project, Jeongyeon received a message with the phone number. Minutes later, at the other end of the Central Business District, Park Jihyo smiles with satisfaction when her phone lights up with the name: Yoo Jeongyeon.
"I was waiting for your call, Jeongyeon-ssi" is what Jeongyeon hears after a single tone.
"Then I'll save the explanations, I have an offer. It will have to be face to face and just the two of us. As soon as possible. I want neither intermediaries nor interveners."
"Where will we meet? You know perfectly well that if we are seen in the same building the effect on the stock market would be immediate, but if we do it in secret and the press catches us it will be all over the news making all kinds of assumptions and spreading all kinds of rumors. And I don't think your father would like that, would he?" she says with a sarcastic and mocking tone.
"Jihyo-sunbaenim, I'm not for your stupid games right now" she says with a tone that denotes that her patience at the moment is at its limit. "I'll take care of the place, it will be neutral, casual and public enough so as not to raise more suspicion than is necessary. Try to keep it discreet and of course don't wear or bring anything that would imply that this is a business related meeting" she makes clear with a serious tone that only provokes Jihyo more to keep pushing Jeongyeon's buttons.
"And why would you and I be in one place if not for work?" she says with obvious sarcasm in her tone that doesn't go unnoticed by the other one.
"We can just be some old friends getting together to catch up" as soon as she says that a loud and snarky laugh is heard but no words precede it, so she keeps talking. "I'll send you the address, see you there" she declares.
"Wait!" she says before she can cut the call "Did you have my contact saved or did your spy give it to you?" she adds but before she gets an answer she hears a few beeps indicating that the call has ended.
That’s how the first private conversation the two have had in four years ends, a conversation that leaves both of them with such a strange feeling. It's not as if they haven't spoken during all this time, they have actually crossed some words on more than one occasion during all kinds of events acting as complete strangers with empty words without any purpose beyond showing a cordial and polite relationship in front of colleagues, business partners, politicians and the press. Now, although the conversation was brief and straight to the point it felt personal somehow with the warnings, the sarcasm and the challenging undertones of the conversation that is never present or at least not so obvious in the formal and aseptic talks they usually have in front of others.
It was almost like going back to that usual bickering between the two that used to annoy Nayeon during their high school years when the three of them were inseparable friends. However, the difference was that this time it did not come from playfulness but from the current hostility that exists between the two businesswomen.
There was a time when things were different. It had always been Jeongyeon and Nayeon until the first week of their senior year when they were approached by a short girl with big bright eyes that introduced herself to Jeongyeon even though they both perfectly knew well who the other was and with determination told her that she would be as good or better then her. From that day their friendship but also a friendly competition between the three of them began. By the middle of the school year, Jihyo had already surpassed the highest grades and top scores in all the clubs and sports that up to then belonged to his unnies Nayeon and Jeongyeon.
This situation, far from distancing or confronting them, made them get closer and become great friends. Despite the rivalry that had marked the relationship between their families, Jeongyeon did not mind because she expected the new students to beat records and records just as she had done since she arrived. On the other hand, Nayeon enjoyed having someone as competitive as her while Jihyo did not really care as she considered Jeongyeon her greatest competition and example to follow because, like her, she would inherit a big company and had to be as good as her. This was not the case with Nayeon, who, although she had an impressive academic record like the other two, she was the daughter of an actor and a writer, so outside of school their competition was a simple game with no major meaning for both of them.
Needless to say, many things have changed over the years and nothing is the same now. Nayeon has been there for both of them as a friend, confidant partner in crime and sometimes even as a wingwoman, but they are no longer '3mix' as they used to call their small squad. Now they are just Nayeon and Jeongyeon on one side and Nayeon and Jihyo on the other.
Two days after the call, the two find themselves staring defiantly at each other in one of the best restaurants in the city. The older one arrived early and was already seated in a more distant and private corner of the establishment when Jihyo arrived led by some waiter. As soon as he left, they exchanged a cordial greeting and the first words.
"So a restaurant," is the first thing Jihyo says with a provocative smile as she takes a seat.
"Can you think of anything better? I thought you usually like my ideas quite a bit" she replies immediately without thinking much and as soon as those words leave her mouth she regrets it, she has come here to look for solutions not to make the whole situation worse.
"It's not a complaint, but don't think that by inviting me to dinner I'll take you up on your offer" she replies in the same defensive tone.
Jeongyeon rolls her eyes at Jihyo's unassertive attitude, although she understands that she herself has not been very welcoming so far. They haven't even ordered yet, so there's still time to change the course of the conversation and the dinner, so she intends to do her best to leave this restaurant with a closed deal and not a fight that will make the problem grow even bigger. And she knows for a fact that falling for Jihyo's games will only make things worse.
As if the waiter had heard her thoughts, he appears with the menu giving them a chance to make a fresh start and forget the little run-in they had just a few seconds ago. They both take it, thanking the waiter and strat going through the expensive and exclusive dishes, looking up from time to time to stare at each other, as if making sure that they are really at the same table about to share a dinner, just the two of them with no one else around. The last time they did something like this was so long ago that it seems like a dream, as if those memories are not theirs. Jeongyeon looks at her trying to read her, long ago a single grin, frown or sneer was enough to guess her mood or if something was on her mind, but now it almost feels like the person in front of her is a complete stranger.
Jihyo is no longer the enthusiastic, competitive, playful but insecure and innocent teenager who used to call her unnie with those big bright eyes, those cheeks that made you want to pinch them and her characteristic long brown hair. Now she has an ambitious and confident woman in front of her, still with reminiscences of her playful personality, it is obvious that she still likes to play games, but they are not innocent anymore.
She knows what she wants and does whatever it takes to get it, that is something she has made that clear to Jeongyeon these past years with her mind games, strategies and foul play. The sparkle in her eyes has disappeared and they are no longer so expressive, the gaze is cold and she feels like she is analyzing each and every one of her moves. Her appearance seems to have changed according to her personality, it is obvious that she looks much more mature, she is now a 26 year old woman, but it is not only the passing of time, her look is also a statement.
Her hair is shoulder-length, a little longer than hers, and dyed black. Her features are more defined and her jaw is sharp, her characteristic cheeks have disappeared with age, but her mole is still on the tip of her nose. Actually, her whole body is much more defined even though the black blazer style dress she wears covers her arms, Jeongyeon got a glimpse of her toned and tanned legs before she sat down.
"You look great, Jihyo-sunbaenim" she compliments her to break the ice and tries to show that she didn’t come here looking for a challenge or a fight.
This catches the younger one off guard, surprising her, none of the thousand scenarios of the encounter she has been creating in her head these days had prepared her to receive a kind comment from Jeongyeon that seemed sincere. She has always been a person with a cold and distant attitude, saying nice words, giving or receiving displays of affection is not her thing, or at least it wasn't. Maybe she has changed too, Jihyo thinks to herself.
"You too, you look good, Jeongyeon-ssi" she replies with a small smile without showing her teeth and takes the liberty to tease. "I see your style has been refined, I hope your dad didn't have to burn your sweatshirts like she used to promise."
The comment makes them both relax and the tension dissipates slightly with their soft laughter, for a moment they seem to know each other and it’s like nothing has happened between them just for a few seconds.
When they were teenagers and were forced to attend all types of social and business related events, it was common to see Jeongyeon wearing a sweatshirt among the elegant women's dresses and the boring men's suits. That always annoyed her father, but also the young Jihyo who would always lectured her about the importance of etiquette and reminded her that in the future she would be the heiress of an important company, so she should dress like one.
Now Jeongyeon is in front of her and still keeps a somewhat more casual style than expected from the CEO of one of the biggest South Korean companies with her blonde highlights in some parts of her hair and her characteristic tomboy style, now much more sophisticated. Black pants, a beige shirt with a brown turtleneck sweater underneath. Comfortable and discreet, but it really suits her.
Jihyo shakes those thoughts out of her head when the taller one asks if she would like to have the same wine as her. Usually, Jihyo would order a beer, but in a restaurant like this it's more suitable if she orders wine, especially when Jeongyeon points out the wine she chose would go very well with her meat. It kind of hurts her pride but she knows she is right.
After the waiter takes their order they continue a conversation so superficial that they will surely forget it before dessert, however they do not take their eyes off each other analyzing and memorizing every movement, no matter how subtle it may be. It is not until they drink their second glass of wine that Jihyo dares to talk about the reason that has brought them here, or rather to ask what it is.
"I’m guessing you didn't invite me to dinner to talk about wine," Jihyo says with a slightly sarcastic tone. "What's that offer you mentioned? It must be very interesting for you to have dared to call me and even put Nayeon-unnie in the middle of it."
At this Jeongyeon nods "Always straight to the point, some things never change" she says receiving a shrug in response. "Well let's get down to business then...". She takes a a long sip and says "Forget about video games and in return Signal Entertainment will disappear from the industry with the only condition that the group becomes part of your company, with no cost, those girls have worked hard and are succeeding, it wouldn't be fair to them" she states in the shortest and most concise way possible.
For the first time since they sat down, Jeongyeon can read Jihyo's expression, the surprise on her face is more than obvious, but it soon changes to one of satisfaction. Her strategy was working like a charm, even much better than she expected.
"I knew the video game thing would get you to react right away, but I have to admit I'm getting more than I intended" she says amused "Actually some things never change, you're still the same nerd you were in high school" she laughs.
"Do we have a deal then?" she asks, ignoring her remark.
"Not so fast. If I remember correctly your Itzy girls debuted a year after ZoneMusic debuted StrayKids...if we brought our own video games to market we'd be balancing the scales don't you think?" she says, unable to help grinning. "Why would I turn down the chance to beat you on your own ground?" she adds defiantly.
"I didn't want to get to this part of the deal, but if you don't accept it I will file a lawsuit against ZoneTech for plagiarizing our technology and using it in your products on more than one occasion."
"I didn't know you were capable of taking risks, it seems that there are also things that change" she says completely carefree and even amused, for her this is a game, but for Jeongyeon it is not.
"I promise you I don't want to do it, but if necessary I will go all the way because it's a won case."
"You seem very confident, you know the best law firms would fight over the case and it wouldn't stay in court. It would be all over the media and it would end up becoming a public trial."
"I know, and that's why I want to avoid it. The evidence is more than obvious, without getting too technical, your products have always come out later and I have proof that you have spies in my company."
At this last statement, Jihyo lets out a wry laugh "You say that as if you don't have your own spies lurking around my company, in fact we are here because of one of them, aren't we?"
"I don't know, can you prove it?" challenges Jeongyeon. "Because I have recordings and audios that prove that discarded programs, software and designs have been stolen from me and then used by your company" as she says this, thebCEO can see her rival's face change even though she tries to hide it as best she can. "I have more than enough with the information, I don't need my... informants to steal and if they did I would like to think they would do it better than this girl, I don't know if you are familiar with the name Son Chaeyoung, short, dyed black her and plenty of tattoos."
Of course she knows who the girl she is talking about is, the same way she knows that Myoui Mina is the one who gave her the video game information, but there is no way to prove it since that information was shared with fifty other workers. Fortunately for Chaeyoung, Jeongyeon has better plans for her if Jihyo accepts her offer, her work as a designer is so good that she intends to come to an agreement with her before she ends up working for ZoneTech, but unfortunately for Park Jihyo, the tattooed girl is not so good when it comes to computer science, espionage and keeping secrets. Chaeyoung was recently caught on the servers floor trying – unsuccessfully – to steal a software program, and who caught her was none other than Minatozaki Sana, ZoneTech's receptionist, but a computer scientist and shadow informant for Signal Systems.
According to the Japanese woman, despite her boss Yoo's request not to go into details, she only needed to unbutton a couple of buttons on her shirt and a couple of innuendos for the short girl to end up on her bed showing her all her tattoos and confessing to her what a designer was doing with a laptop and a bunch of cables on the server floor in an attempt to impress her.
This same story, although omitting quite a few details, is what Jeongyeon tells Jihyo to show her that she is not playing a game and that she is totally being serious, but Park is stubborn and the conversation continues until dessert arrives. The older one assures her that any judge would eventually be on her side, she even invites her to check with her own lawyers before giving her an answer. She also assures her that she would not like to have to solve it in court because it would be a long and tedious process for both of them regardless of who wins. She reminds her of the fuss that would be caused and that the legal process itself would be nothing compared to having the media on their backs for months digging up dirt of the company, their family and even personal issues that may or may not be a lie would come into play. And in this sense, they both know that it would only be enough for their personal interests to be exposed for their public image and status to be seriously damaged.
Jihyo is confident that she could get some good lawyers and the possibility of a billion won lawsuit does not worry her; however, the damage it could cause to the company's image and her family's legacy and especially the work her father did, worries her and is what makes her consider Jeongyeon's words. If the theft of information and espionage were to come to public knowledge, she should prepare herself for the worst.
"Think about it, Jihyo-ah," Jeongyeon says, dropping the formalities, once again rendering the other speechless, she just takes a sip of her wine instead. "I know I have no right to ask you to trust me, but we were once friends and I wouldn't want this senseless family war to continue for another sixty years."
"And your way of ending it is to sue me?" she says in disbelief.
"It's not like that, I've offered you a deal that you know would benefit both of us. You've always loved music as much as I love video games, we both win".
All of this is not enough to convince her when she does not trust the person in front of her, there is something that makes her distrustful, it seems all too simple to end four years of hatred between them. Why now? Why all of a sudden? Is this all about stupid video games or are they just a way to build bridges between companies? Is this all a strategy? Is this all a strategy? are some of the questions that go through her mind.
"How do I know I can trust you?".
"First of all, Nayeon-unnie would finish me off if I tried to hurt you, carrying out the lawsuit would mean ending a friendship of over 20 years. But if that's not enough to convince you, I can show you all the evidence I could present against you, so you can see that I'm serious about this. Obviously it would be stupid to give them to you since I would be helping you prepare a good defense, but if you come to my place I will show everything to you. Even the security videos and recordings of Son Chaeyoung. You just have to set a day for me."
"I want to see them now," she replies resolutely.
This time it is Jeongyeon who is caught by surprise, she did not expect to receive such an immediate response. It is rushed but true to her word, Jeongyeon pays for the luxurious dinner and they both leave the restaurant catching some curious glances and hearing some murmurs in the background.
"I guess you didn't come driving in those heels" says Jeongyeon as she looks up and down her perfectly sculpted legs "I can give you a ride and then I'll have someone drive you back to your house".
She takes some time to actually give her an answer. Under normal circumstances, Jihyo wouldn't accept the favor as she prefers to do things her own way, but under normal circumstances she wouldn't be going to her former friend's house on a Friday night either, so she agrees and they both leave in the same car after Jihyo gives her driver and bodyguard the night off.
The drive to Jeongyeon's house is longer than expected but they barely exchange a few words and just stare at the road while listening to music. The music is soft, perfect for driving at night. The volume is loud enough so that they don't have to engage in conversation, but none of them are able to pay attention to it when all they are able to hear are their own thoughts. They have met again, they have talked after a long time, the deal, the lawsuit… but also the compliments, the teasing and the bickering. There are so many things to think about and so many feelings to process, they don't even know how they feel about what's going on.
At last they arrive, Jeongyeon's house, unlike hers, is on the outskirts of the city, in one of the most expensive districts of the capital, although her own luxurious duplex apartment in the city center probably cost the same as this huge, modern house. It really suits her, Jihyo thinks as she gets inside, led by the taller one. She's never been much of a sociable person, but she doesn't like to be isolated either, and though she may boast a simple lifestyle, she wouldn’t give up the comforts that her family's money and status have brought her. After all, that is how they both grew up and it is all they know. It is in an area away from the hustle and bustle of the city but not far away you can see luxurious homes and the occasional mansion. The interior as well as the exterior has a modern and contemporary design with the newest and most advanced technology in every corner from the living room to the kitchen where they are now.
"Beer right?" she asks, earning a confused look from Jihyo, when they were friends she wasn't old enough to drink and lately they hadn't shared any context casual enough for her to know about her fondness for beer. Jeongyeon seems to read her mind and while opening the fridge she simply says "The cans that Nayeon-unnie keeps in her fridge" she clarifies, of course that was it, although the two pretend the other doesn't exist on a daily basis, when they are spending time with their friend sometimes it is inevitable that she briefly mentions the other or or remember her existence, especially when there is a space in Nayeon's fridge reserved exclusively for the beers and soju she usually drinks with Jihyo.
Despite cutting off any personal relationship between them, they have never stopped being present in each other's lives either for work or for their best friend. A fact that makes Jeongyeon's decision decisive, this situation must end no matter what, we can't go on fighting all our lives.
She offers her the beer and instructs her to follow her to her office, once there she asks her to turn around to open the strongbox where she has all the evidence she would use in case the lawsuit goes through. When she is able to look again she finds before her a series of folders stacked one on top of the other rising about 20 centimeters above the table, several hard drives and also CDs. Jihyo assumes that they are actually the same contents in different formats, knowing the cautious nature of the woman next to her, it is an assumption but also a wish. In front of her is what could bring her career, her company, her family and her legacy to an end. It is at this exact moment and without yet diving into the documents that she becomes fully aware of the gravity of the situation.
She could try to defend herself against every attack and will do so if necessary, but she is not so arrogant as to think she would come out unscathed. She knows full well that the damage it would cause would be fatal even if she could strike back with every blow, and that would mean the end for ZoneTech and for Signal Systems as well.
"Go ahead, take a seat" Jeongyeon invites her knowing that she is in full control of the situation right now.
"Can I see everything?" she says looking directly at Jeongyeon and from the expression on her face, Jeongyeon doesn't know if she is genuinely asking her permission or if she is testing her to see if this is not some trick.
"If you're going to go through all the documents, I guess we'd better get comfortable. Let's go to the living room."
So that is what they do. After reaching an agreement for Jihyo to leave their cell phones away from her, they both get comfortable in the living room, each one with a beer in one hand and several folders in the other. Although the tension is not the same as it was at the beginning of the evening, neither one of them trusts the other, the tension is in the air. Jeongyeon, in addition to making Jihyo leave her cell phones in another room, doesn't take her eyes off her and the latter can't help but look over the documents to see what the other is doing.
From time to time Jihyo, not being well versed in the subject, asks Jeongyeon some questions and she has no problem in resolving her doubts. Soon they open the second beer and between the questions and the occasional accusation of plagiarizing each other's products and marketing strategies on both sides, they also start to mention some anecdotes from the past and on occasion they share things about their current life without going into details.
It's getting later and later, but the activity, conversation and beers keep them going for the time being. Jeongyeon is actually taken by surprise by Jihyo's determination, she is really willing to read every single document, she is already on the fourth folder and still has three more to go plus videos, recordings and images. The older one could leave the other one going through everything alone while she does something other than look at her while attentively reading documents with a frown on her face, making the same expression that appears on her face when she tastes food she likes, just like she did sometime during dinner and a few hours ago with the first sip of beer.
She could give her space, but at the end of the day, it's not as awkward as she'd hoped but she also knows she has to be cautious because any misstep could ruin everything. And, although she'd never admit it, she'd rather be talking and catching up by pretending for a moment that their friendship never broke up, rather than explaining stuff about technology on a Friday night after two glasses of wine and a few cans of beer.
"Are you really planning to read the whole thing? Aren't you tired?" she asks with honest concern.
"If you want me to leave, just say so," she says, finishing the can of beer in one gulp. "But I need to know what I'd have to deal with. I don't think you'd be thinking about sleeping either if you were in my situation."
"That's not what I mean, I mean if you're not tired of all this – aren't you tired of trying to outdo me at everything?"
At this unexpected question Jihyo just bursts out laughing "Oh my god, I didn't have you down as someone this self-centered. Do you really think this whole situation is about me trying to prove I'm better than you?"
"Well I think it's pretty obvious, in fact, if memory serves me correctly, the first thing you told us after saying your name to us is that you would be as good as us in everything. Soon after that I remember you had the highest grades in high school and beat our records in soccer, archery and athletics" as Jeongyeon recalls, on the other side of the couch, Jihyo looks at her in disbelief frowning and holding the bridge of her nose while listening to her. "I know that was like a game, it was our thing and you outdid me in everything, but we are adults now, we can't be playing games or fooling around. I think it's time to accept that this isn't getting anywhere, no one is winning here."
"Are you drunk already or are you still just as dense?" is what comes out of Jihyo's mouth almost unconsciously and she instantly regrets it and takes a breath before starting over. "Sorry that came out harsher than I intended. What I mean is that you haven't really changed, have you? You've always understood numbers, computers, video games and all that like no one else, but when it comes to people..."
"What do you mean?"
"This has never been about me trying to be better than you or beating you, well now it is but it's not about you, it's about doing my job and keeping my company at the top" she states and adds “and certainly the fact that it's you makes it all the more entertaining”.
Jeongyeon ust rolls her eyes at that last remark.
"You should know better after what happened" she says without going any deeper into the subject because it's not necessary for the other to understand what she's referring to. "It's really frustrating that you don't realize the things you have right in front of your eyes, I've never known if you're really unaware or if you're faking it" she sighs. "Knowing that I would be in the same high school as the heiress of the rival company and my family's enemies, needless to say I wanted to be better than you, but you didn't treat me as such so before I knew it we became friends and we were getting closer each day.  I only saw you as my rival the first week, it didn't take you long to become my role model".
"Role model?" is surprised Jeongyeon as she approaches Jihyo, feeling curious to know the younger girl's side of the story and to know what she means when she says she doesn't realize things.
"Think about it, your future and mine were going to be quite similar. Heiress to one of the biggest companies in the country, the first woman to be in charge and you were older than me. You had the best grades, records in most sports, captain of the soccer team and participated in dozens of clubs. I looked up to you and wanted to follow in your footsteps because I knew they were the right ones, I didn't want to beat you, I aspired to be as good as you".
Jihyo's heart is racing as her story progresses because even though nothing new is going to come to light. There are things that are still unresolved, conversations that were never had and wounds that remain unhealed that she doesn't want to think about. Her heart doesn't race much faster than Jeongyeon who knows as much as she does what she's about to hear.
"But we both know it was more than just admiration, I loved you and just wanted to be good enough for you. I-"
Right when Jihyo is in the middle of her confession, a wave of feelings hits Jeongyeon throwing her to the lips of the woman in front of her looking at her with those big and expressive brown eyes. It takes a few seconds for Jihyo to realize what is happening but when she does she doesn't move away, instead she lets herself go and closes her eyes ignoring all the alarms going off in her mind. It's a timid kiss, their lips don't even move until Jeongyeon takes the lead. At first her kisses, like her movements, are delicate and tentative giving Jihyo room to stop her at any moment, but this doesn't happen.  They both know that the sensible thing to do would be to stop, but they don't know how to do it, they can't do it. It seems that tonight the two of them are letting each other break through all the walls and for a moment they forget about the world and their problems. It feels too right to be a mistake.
Their lips feel so familiar it makes their hearts ache. Their mouths taste like beer, memories and regrets. The taste of the past on their lips is so strong that it makes them pause.  For a few seconds they exchange glances, catch their breaths and look for any sign that makes them stop or a gesture that invites them to continue. Jihyo is the first to speak after coming to her senses.
"What the fuck Jeongyeon?" she wonders out loud.
All that confidence she had when she threw herself at the younger one's lips vanishes right after hearing her words.
"I'm sorry!" she exclaims with hesitant and nervous gestures. "I thought... I shouldn't have-"
This time it is Jihyo who interrupts her, but not with a kiss but with a statement that surprises her even more.
"I thought you hated me," she admits.
"What? I have never hated you, Jihyo" she replies somewhat more relaxed and looking into her eyes with honesty.
"I have...sometimes I still do" she confesses leaving Jeongyeon stunned.
"In that case it's better to stop here and forget about what happened. I'll take you home" she says, trying to brush it off and getting up from the couch, obviously trying to show indifference to Jihyo's words but she can see a slight pain in her eyes.
When she is about to get her car keys she feels a hand around her wrist and then turns around and sees Jihyo looking up at her with an amused smile "You didn't let me finish, I know we shouldn't do this, the last time we kissed things didn't end well" she says more as a reminder to herself than to Jeongyeon "that's what makes me want to hate you, no matter what you do you're always going to drive me crazy. I hate that you still have this effect on me."
Hearing her words Jeongyeon's whole body heats up and she can feel her cheeks burning as she hears the low tone of Jihyo's voice, she doesn't know what to reply and the other one isn't sure if she wants to hear what she has to say. Before she can give her an answer she pulls her arm pushing her towards the couch right next to her.
Are you sure?" asks Jeonyeon "We can stop if you want, at any time and we can forget about everything that has happened since you walked in the door."
"Unnie..." she replies lowering her tone and leaving Jeongyeon speechless, she no longer remembered how the word sounded coming from Jihyo's mouth. "Let's forget everything that happened before we walked through that door, just don't hurt me this time" she pleads with a sigh, letting herself look vulnerable like she never did before.
In front of her is no longer the successful and intimidating CEO who occasionally makes her job impossible. Gone is his cold, distant and inaccessible image. It is simply Jihyo, who asks her to guard her heart, to tear down her walls to let her pass and remind her that she is the woman who never fails to make her heart race, who takes her breath away, who makes her head spin and gives her butterflies in her stomach.
She knows perfectly well why all she is asking her not to hurt her, she doesn't need to explain it to Jeongyeon to understand what she means. But before she can give her an answer as reassurance, other than nodding her head, it is Jihyo who makes the first move.
This time it is not so sudden, the movements are smoother, they take their time to place themselves in a more comfortable position, still keeping a safe distance between them. She doesn't know what time it is or how far she is willing to go, but she doesn't want this to come to an end, she wants to savor every moment without rushing. She touches Jeongyeon as if she wants to check that she is really there, that she is not a memory and that she is not going to vanish from one moment to the next as she has done so many times before. She doesn't know what time it is or how far she is willing to go, but she doesn't want it to end. She touches Jeongyeon slowly as if she is memorizing every fold of her clothes with her hands, as if she is afraid that it is really a dream that could vanish at any moment. The taller one lets herself be touched without putting up any resistance, she lets Jihyo take the lead, she knows she needs control right now and is willing to give it to her – for now – .
The younger one gently caresses her cheek, tucks a lock of hair behind her ear and moves her hand down to her collarbones. Her fingers slowly snake around his neck and when she squeezes lightly at last Jeongyeon reacts by letting out a soft whimper. As she maintains her grip, his eyes travel from his own hand to the lips of the woman whose neck she grips as delicately as she does precisely and then to her eyes, where he sees something she hadn't seen before. Immediately the grip on her neck tightens a little more and Jihyo moves until she ends up on her thighs, straddling her.
"If you hurt me it's over" this time it doesn't sound like a plea at all but more like a threat and Jeongyeon has a feeling it won't be the first one she'll hear tonight.
"Yes ma'am" Jeongyeon whispers, unable to help but smile, far from being uncomfortable in the position she is in.
As soon as these words leave her mouth, Jihyo releases her neck to grab her shirt and crush their lips together in a hungry kiss. This time it's deeper and more passionate, but full of emotions like the first one of the night. Their lips explore each other again with kisses that are increasingly impatient, heated and wet creating sounds that fill the silent room.
Shortly their tongues start to get involved exploring every inch of their mouths moving in perfect synchrony. As they devour each other it is not their tongues fighting for dominance, but them fighting for control until Jihyo caresses the roof of her mouth with the tip of tongue leaving Jeongyeon at her mercy making her forget all about her little power game as the first moan escapes from her lips. Hearing the sound echoing against her mouth, Jihyo's hands clinging to his shirt pulling her closer and feels the heat coming off her skin as she wraps her arms around her neck.
They kiss for what feels like hours pausing only to catch their breath or let out soft moans against each other's mouths. But their hands have barely explored each other's skin and not a single button or zipper has been undone yet. When eager kisses are not enough Jeongyeon's lips move from her mouth to her jaw and down to Jihyo's neck as she caresses the naked caramel skin of her exposed thighs.
When Jeongyeon starts tracing kisses all over her neck, Jihyo can no longer ignore the growing wetness between her legs especially when the kisses are accompanied by soft bites and licks that go all the way down to her chest, driving her crazy.
"Take off my dress" she commands with a whisper against her ear before nibbling it, sending a shiver down Jeongyeon's spine.
Then Jeongyeon without taking her mouth off her neck undoes the buttons of her black blazer style dress which fortunately stays closed with only two of them. This is the only moment when they stop kissing to help Jihyo undo her dress and throw it on the other side of the couch. This time they lock their eyes instead of their mouths, as they do so, they can't help but smile seeing each other's red and swollen lips. In Jeongyeon's case the image of Jihyo on top of her makes her mouth dry. The path her gaze follows begins at the hungry eyes and is followed by her glossy, wet lips, her neck painted with red marks that will soon begin to darken to purple and her body solely covered by a set of lacy black that leaves her breathless. It is the first time they have seen each other like this and Jeongyeon needs a few seconds to process this view.
She has Jihyo sitting on her thighs dressed only in her underwear which, despite being black, doesn't quite hide the wet spot between Jihyo's legs. Knowing that she is the reason for that wet spot makes Jeongyeon feel her own and squeeze her thighs in seeking some relief, this action doesn't go unnoticed by the woman on top of her who doesn't take long to tease her about it.
"Do you like what you see? Tell me what you want" .
Jeongyeon just nods and stares without missing a single detail of her defined muscles, of how her chest rises in sync with her breathing and how her abs tighten as she continues stroking her thighs. It's impossible to have Jihyo in front of you like this and not want everything with her.
"I-I want you" she stutters against his mouth.
It's not the response Jihyo expected to receive, but it satisfies her enough to return to kissing Jeongyeon impatiently, her kisses are accompanied by the subtle grind of her hips against her thighs. His hands run through her hair and grab it to guide his mouth to her chest but before working on her chest Jeongyeon is quick to unclasp her bra finally releasing her mouth-watering breasts to capture them with her mouth eagerly. The moan that escapes her as she feels the warmth of his tongue brushing against her nipple hardened by both the cold and the growing pleasure invites Jeongyeon to continue her ministrations and give attention to the other breast with one of her hands brushing her finger softly over the nub just to end up trapping it between two fingers, pinching it with a little pressure.
Her other hand, which just seconds ago was caressing her thighs, moves to her lower back keeping Jihyo in place but also testing new limits by sliding her hand inside her underwear. A touch that gives Jihyo goosebumps in anticipation for what is to come.
Bodies exploring each other, blood rushing through their veins and breaths racing. The sound of wet kisses, labored breaths and muffled moans from each other's mouths is all they hear, but all their senses are getting the attention they need to push them further into each other.
Jeongyeon has her mouth busy playing, teasing, licking, sucking and nibbling on Jihyo's breasts as her hands grab and caress her by sinking their fingers into each other's bare skin. Most of the time her eyes are closed, unable to keep them open as the sounds coming from her mouth cause her mind to cloud and her core to throb. It's an overwhelming sensation, just like the desire that drives Jihyo to move her hips seeking more pleasure as she rubs her center against Jeongyeon's body, bringing herself to the brink. She notices the beads of sweat running down her chest and being caught by Jeongyeon's tongue, taking her to new places making her feel things she's never felt before, she's doing wonders with her mouth but right now she needs her somewhere else as she notices the building sensation in her stomach. She doesn't want it to end yet and like this, she needs more, she needs her.
Using the grip she has on the older girl's hair she pulls her away delighted by the image of Jeongyeon's wet mouth attached by a string of saliva to her nipple "Fuck..." she murmurs as she shifts her posture getting off her lap. At the loss of contact Jeongyeon whines and looks at her with pleading eyes making Jihyo grin "I would never have guessed you were this needy" she says as she moves her hand to Jeongyeon's face and grabs her by the jaw to devour her mouth before whispering "Get on your knees''. The words that come out of her mouth are halfway between command and plea as she sits back down on the couch, leaving a space between her slightly spread legs for Jeongyeon to position herself.
She doesn't need to repeat it a second time as it barely takes her time to position herself on the floor on her knees and between his legs. Due to the difference in height between them their faces are almost at the same height, but that doesn't matter when it is more than evident that Jihyo is in charge, even though she is the one in a more vulnerable position as she is the one who is almost naked and with her legs spread wide open exposing herself completely. Jeongyeon looks at her wanting to learn by heart every detail of her body, but behind her gaze there is more than just lust, there is admiration and adoration. She just watches without saying or doing anything, waiting for Jihyo's next command as she feels her whole body burning and a tingling sensation in her stomach as a result of the urge to please Jihyo in this way.
Not once does her hand loosen its hold on his jaw, only loosening it as Jeongyeon positions herself and once she is on her knees under her attentive and hungry gaze she uses her thumb to ghost over her lips, a motion that Jeongyeon immediately responds to by trapping the finger between her lips sucking it and stroking it with her tongue giving her a taste of what is to come. The warm, wet sensation of her mouth trapping his finger catches her breath and the ache between her thighs grows at the image and the contact of his fingers with the walls of her mouth.
"I need you" she breathes as she slides her finger out of her mouth to take them into her own tasting Jeongyeon's mouth.
In her eyes, as in her words, what she senses is desire, hunger and lust. She wants this as much as she does and is willing to give it to her. Without looking away she caresses her legs from her ankles to the edge of her lacy panties, taking her time and switching between soft kisses and the occasional playful nibble. When he brings his mouth to her inner thigh to deposit a kiss he inhales Jihyo's scent, makes her light-headed and sends a shiver down to her own throbbing center.
She's dying to taste it, but she is not done with the teasing until she slides a finger along her clothed core, drawing a louder moan from her throat than before. It's embarrassing how sensitive and pent up she is to make sounds like that with a single touch. From that moment on she knows it won't last long as her whole body jerks from the light touch that has allowed her to feel her wetness despite the piece of cloth that still separates her from her target.
That's when she finally decides to completely undress Jihyo and she, feeling the cold air against her uncomfortable and growing dampness, lets out a breathy whimper. Jeongyeon shoves a hand between her legs to spread them more in order to gain better access and to take a few seconds to revel in the image in front of her. Just inches from her eyes, nose and mouth is Jihyo's glistening sex that leaves her stunned. Intoxicated by what she sees, the smell of Jihyo's pleasure and the sensation of her own pleasure she finally reacts and looks her back up into Jihyo's eyes.
"Can I?" she says, asking for permission.
"Please" she tries to say in a neutral tone that fails to hide the desperation to receive the attention she so strongly craves.
That's all it takes for Jeongyeon to bury her head between Jihyo's tanned legs.
She starts where she left off, with kisses and nibbles on her inner thighs slowly until her whimpers sound too needy to continue ignoring them and to prolong her torture. They seem to have come to an agreement because at that very moment she notices her hands grabbing her hair again to guide her to where she needs her the most.
The first contact is a tentative lick with his flat tongue from bottom to top that stops before reaching her clit, that's enough for a moan to escape from her half-opened mouth. He repeats the action a couple more times at a slow pace, sliding his tongue between her folds and her slit and even teasing her hole but never reaching her bundle of nerves testing her limits once again, enjoying her every reaction and tasting her wetness. His hands do the same, sliding up and down caressing and grabbing her thighs, her hips, her torso, her chest and her ass without stopping anywhere, leaving caresses with his fingertips and sometimes gentle scratches.
Despite the pleasurable but torturous ministrations, Jihyo is loving every second, every lick and every rub, her moans getting louder and louder as the pleasure washes over her and the embarrassment of sounding desperate fades away. The sounds coming out of Jihyo and the wet sounds of which she herself is to blame motivate her to go one step further, sucking on her clit. As she does so she looks up so as not to miss a single detail of Jihyo's reaction. His act catches her by surprise, but her body is quicker to react than she is and it takes seconds for Jeongyeon to notice how the grip on her hair is tighter and how Jihyo's thighs now press the sides of her head covering her ears, even then she doesn't stop hearing Jihyo's moans.
"Oh fuck right there, stop teasing" she sighs between moans guiding Jeongyeon's head between her legs.
She continues licking, sucking and nibbling gently making her juices drip down her spit onto the couch and onto Jeonyeon's chin who notices how her own arousal becomes uncomfortable every time she makes a move however small and feels the seams of her pants rubbing against her hardening clit making her moan against her center.
For a first time together there is no awkwardness and Jeongyeon manages to hit all the right places swirling her tongue around her clit, lapping on her juices and dipping her tongue inside her only to remove it seconds later making her pussy clench around nothing. When she doesn't like something Jihyo lets you know right away and guides you with her words or by pulling your hair, she is also not shy when letting you know she is doing the right move in the perfect place by being much more vocal and also doesn't hesitate to praise her when she deserves it.
"Yes baby! just like that!" she moans loudly as Jeongyeon draws shapes onto her clit while she easily slides two fingers inside her.
Jihyo feels herself getting closer and closer to her high and grinds her hips against her mouth as she pulls her as close as physically possible. Jeongyeon's fingers move faster and deeper reaching new places as she curls her fingers. This has Jihyo squirming under his touch making her feel light-headed and too close to the edge even if she is still fully dressed and untouched.
Making Jihyo feel so good, hearing her praises in between her loud moans as she begs for more, feeling her warm and wet insides, seeing how she is unable to maintain eye contact because she can't help but close her eyes and arch her body has her so dizzy and overwhelmed with her own sensations. When she hears her call her "baby" she can't help but slide her free hand between her legs and apply a little pressure teasing herself and focusing on her own heat instead of her aching knees.
The mere hint of her fingers stroking over the fabric makes her jerk and gasps, sending vibrations to Jihyo's throbbing cunt. Totally intoxicated by her choking breaths and the scent of the woman trapping her between her legs, she doesn't even realize how his eyes are piercing her until she hears "Don't you dare." That makes her gulp pull her hand away immediately, but at no point do her fingers stop darting in and out of Jihyo who looks at her with a mischievous smile.
"Sorry" she apologizes before going down on her again.
"Now be good and make me cum please" she says a little breathless and bites her lip when she feels his tongue again. "I will make you feel so good and you will cum when I give you permission baby."
She swears that every time she hears that pet name come out of Jihyo's mouth she is about to cum, just like she is about to do thanks to her good work. Since Jeongyeon is back to accompanying the fingering with her tongue all over her thighs, folds and clit, Jihyo is soon back to being close to her release.
"B-baby I'm so... close. Don't stop!" she cries out what is meant to be a warning, but she can't help it when she shatters as she reaches her orgasm.
All it takes for Jeongyeon to bring her to climax is suck on her swollen nub at the same time she curves her fingers deep inside her hitting her sweet spot. Her whole body arches completely tense just before she starts to jerk as she tugs Jeongyeon's hair with one hand and puts her other hand to her mouth in a futile attempt to silence the obscene scream she just let out, she doesn't say the name of the woman responsible for her screams but "baby".
That doesn't stop Jeongyeon who continues her movements slowing down when she notices his legs squeezing her head and that's when she moves her mouth away just a few centimeters, she can still feel his breath against her middle as she allows her some time to come down from her high and doesn't take long to fill her thighs with kisses as she cleans her up a gesture that melts Jihyo's heart who sees for the first time this loving and sweet side of her unnie.
At that moment she realizes where her hand is and finally lets go of Jeongyeon's hair who starts to feel a slight discomfort from all the tugging "I'm sorry" she whispers before pulling the collar of her shirt to kiss her again tasting herself first in her mouth and then on her cum covered fingers looking at Jeongyeon with hungry and lustful eyes that make her press her thighs against each other.
"Stop" Jihyo reminds her "You’ve been very good to me, let me make you feel good now. Where’s your room, unnie?" she asks her in a way that makes Jeongyeon feel some embarrassment for being treated this way by someone younger than her, making her blush because she is enjoying it more than she deems appropriate.
The second round is on the bed and barely lasts a few minutes. After Jihyo practically rips off Jeongyeon's clothes and gets on top of her making herself comfortable between her legs, Jihyo takes control and starts rubbing their slick centers while their mouths devour each other in an animalistic way. She is still sensitive from her first orgasm and Jeongyeon is already on the verge of cumming just by eating her out, so they cum in no time. In any other situation or with someone else it would have been almost embarrassing, but between them the situation far from feeling awkward feels right, safe and they even joke about it but not for long.
They go fast and they go slow, sometimes gentle and sometimes rougher trying different things, discovering each other's bodies, learning what the other likes as if they were trying to make up for all that lost time and those first times they didn't have together in one night. It doesn't take them long to recover from the earth shattering orgasm they've shared either, so the second round turns into a third and a fourth until they lose count of the kisses, caresses and orgasms they've given each other. As the night progresses they become more vocal and when they go for the last round they whisper sweet nothings to each other between kisses that are no longer about pleasure but about feeling each other. When their bodies are exhausted and their eyelids begin to close involuntarily the first rays of sun are rising through the trees and mountains.
"Don't go" she blurts out without thinking and in an attempt to regain her composure adds "Get some sleep, you're too tired to go home, it's dangerous, you could cause an accident".
"You say that like I'm going to drive" she giggles. "Just say you want me to stay" she pushes.
"Why would I want that?" she says it trying to sound annoyed by the accusation, but she's too tired for it.
Jihyo shakes her head and smiles getting too close to her and her lips causing Jeongyeon to close her eyes in anticipation but instead of noticing a kiss she notices Jihyo's breath against her lips saying "You're such a tsundere... it's very charming honey."
Jeongyeon almost chokes when she hears the pet name, it's not the first one of the night, but it's the first one she doesn't say to her between moans. Maybe because she knows there is some truth in her words she doesn't talk back and just says "Just stay, we'll talk about this tomorrow" she says in a soothing voice as her eyes struggle to stay open at least until she hears Jihyo's answer, but she lies on her side turning her back to her as she doesn't feel ready to look her in the eyes in case he rejects her offer.
"I'm staying, I missed you" he whispers as he hugs her from behind, spooning her.  Once again it is Jihyo who proves that she is the brave one between the two by daring to name what she feels and say it out loud exposing herself once again and being vulnerable in front of Jeongyeon even though she has promised herself a thousand times during this time that she would never do like this again, that she would protect her heart like she hadn't done in the past.
When she wakes up she notices a warm body on her body and she doesn't need to open her eyes to know who it is, Jihyo is still there and this time she is the one in his arms. Nor does she need to remember what has happened as the mixture of smells from the room and the sheets hits her invading her nostrils. She would swear she can feel Jihyo's taste on her tongue, his fingers ghosting over the skin of her back and even his fingers running through her hair sending a shiver up her back as she recreates moments from the night before in her head. The memories cut her breath away, but her mind soon travels elsewhere and the memories of the night are replaced by a compelling need to shower and change the sheets. Some habits never die, not even when Jihyo is naked in her bed.
On any other occasion Jeongyeon would already be throwing the sheets in the washing machine, preparing breakfast and cleaning up the mess in the living room where the paperwork is piled up among some beer cans. However, the uncertainty and the thought that this was a slip-up or an unforgettable accident that would never happen again keeps her pinned to the bed more firmly than the grip of Jihyo's arms or the leg that is currently wrapped around her waist.
The woman above her keeping her warm and all her senses alert doesn't take much longer than her to wake up, but those minutes are enough for Jeongyeon to overthink about every possible scenario and about all the paths this can take from now on making the warmth she felt in her chest when she smelled Jihyo's hair before she opened her eyes turn into an unpleasant pressure in her chest caused by the growing anxiety she tries to manage as best she can.
"Morning, Jeong" she hears Jihyo say in a husky voice.
Looking at her she can't help but smile at the sight of the traces of makeup, this is another thing she wouldn't have allowed under normal circumstances, but the truth is that she usually didn't end up collapsing on her bed as the first rays of sunshine come out. Seeing Jihyo with her eyes slightly closed, makeup messed up, lips still swollen and some marks spread across her neck and chest makes her light-headed.
"Good morning, Ji."
That way of calling her draws an immediate smile on Jihyo's face, she's used to being called that, Nayeon calls her that often, but on Jeongyeon's lips it just sounds different, she doesn't remember the last time she called her that way. To think that just a few hours ago he was referring to her as Jihyo-sunbaenim makes her head spin.
Jihyo dares once again to try her luck and gives her a peck on the lips, getting an unexpected response.
"We should take a shower."
The two have different plans, but the two have their way and before getting into the shower they share a heated make out session that ends with Jeongyeon panting against her mouth as she reaches orgasm riding Jihyo's thigh.
After sharing a shower in which they exchange kisses again and which becomes the perfect opportunity for Jeongyeon to return the favor, they both end up wrapped in the comfortable clothes of the owner of the house who prepares coffee and a delicious and abundant breakfast for both of them, while Jihyo watches her feeling her heart pounding in her chest.
Their relationship had never gone this far, neither when they were secretly in love with each other nor after Jihyo's first confession years ago. Certainly the furthest they got in their relationship beyond friendship was with that same confession with a bouquet of flowers that ended in a kiss. This is all new to both of them, but it feels dangerously familiar as if they have done it all their lives, something that frightens both of them. Neither can rationally explain that something that shouldn't have happened in the first place feels so natural to both of them as if the years, the distance and the enmity that has lasted almost five years never happened. And this time not even Jihyo is able to say out loud how normal this situation feels, fearing that it's all in her head and going too far risking being wrong and ending it all in one fell swoop, just like it happened the other time.
They talk, the conversation is not as deep as it should be given the circumstances, but it doesn't stay superficial either and they touch almost all the important points. They talk about Jeongyeon's offer or threat – depending on who you ask – and come to the conclusion that they shouldn't be mixing personal matters with work, so it still stands and Jihyo will have some time to think about it and consult with her own legal team if she considers so. On what happened last night they both agree that they got carried away without giving much thought to the possible consequences. Jihyo described it as a "moment of weakness" while Jeongyeon called it an "impulsive and irresponsible act," but neither dared to pretend it was a mistake.
After a heated conversation that was interrupted several times by some insults, cursing, accusations and kisses they came to the conclusion that it had been a good time that both had enjoyed, but if repeated they should have a conversation beforehand that they don't know if they are ready for. And of course, Nayeon can't know anything about this, at least while they figure out what will happen between them from now on. They talk about everything and nothing, their friendship, their estrangement and the open war between them, which seems to have finally reached a point of truce. But always leaving out the taboo subject that always comes up but they don't dare to talk about, they just tiptoe around it.
Before the situation becomes too domestic, Jihyo decides she should leave. "Can your driver take me or should I call mine to come?" she asks.
"I don't plan to go out and he lives nearby, if you want to go now it's better if he takes you home" she offers ignoring the slight but obvious awkwardness that has settled between them.
Jihyo nods and in a few minutes she is ready to go, Jeongyeon is even kind enough to give her something more comfortable than her clothes from last night and offers her a pair of sneakers that are too small for her, so she doesn't have to wear heels.
"Thank you."
"They're just sneakers, I don't even wear them" she shrugs without noticing Jihyo's sudden and unusual shyness.
"It’s not about the sneakers…” she stutters. “Just- thank you for everything."
"Don't thank me at all, I-I really enjoyed it Jihyo-ah" smiles Jeongyeon with a slight blush painting her cheeks and the tips of her ears.
"Me too unnie" she says, staying awfully close as her gaze drifts down to her lips, but she does nothing.
They both giggle nervously not really knowing how to act around each other after everything that has happened in the last few hours. Now it's awkward, they have no regrets but that's not how things were supposed to have ended, they had arranged to meet to talk business. And they had done that but they also got drunk on each other's lips, sank between each other's legs, spent the night with their limbs intertwined and now they were struggling to quiet the butterflies in their stomachs.
It doesn't take Jihyo much longer to get into the car to leave, Jeongyeon opens her door for her and before closing it she says "Think about what I showed you last night, take as much time as you need." She then closes her door, last night she had taught her many things and she knows exactly what she means but her mind can't help but go to other places, feeling her skin bristle and her stomach tighten as she remembers the image of jeongyeon emerging from between her legs and looking at her with those puppy eyes and swollen red lips covered in a layer of both saliva and her own juices. The memory is so vivid it's as if she's standing in front of her right now and she bites down on her finger to make sure she doesn't let out a moan right then and there as her thighs rub together involuntarily seeking to feel something.
When she gets home she doesn't receive any message or call, the next day neither and when the weekend is coming to an end neither. She knows that Jeongyeon sometimes needs to take some distance and be left alone with her thoughts to process things. If she herself was anxious and a bit scared about what would happen from now on it is natural to think that the other would be the same, maybe a bit more so given her reserved personality.
Days go by and she still receives nothing making her anxiety increase.
Of course she could write or call her at any time, at this point it is more than obvious that Jihyo is not afraid to take the lead and make the first move. But this time is different, she needs Jeongyeon to take the initiative for the first time for more than just preparing a lawsuit that threatens the future of her company, her life as she knows it and her family's legacy.
It's a matter of pride, she knows. She refuses to pursue someone who wouldn't do the same for her but also out of fear of being rejected once again and getting her heart broken. She thought that after all she has been through and with her age she is more than ready to face rejection, but the truth is that if Jeongyeon rejects her again when there are no more external reasons to do so, it is likely that this time the pain will be much worse.
By the time a week has passed Jihyo's uncertainty has turned into disappointment, she even comes to think that being directly rejected after receiving her first kiss was less cruel than whatever Jeongyeon is doing now. But in fact, it could be much worse.
After spending the weekend turning down invitations to meet friends because lying in bed staring at her phone with the screen off while listening to the most heartbreaking ballads is what she needs right now, Jihyo gets the news on Monday morning.
"Jihyo-nim, Hirai Momo is coming, it seems to be some kind of emergency"  her secretary Lily announces over the phone. When this happens nothing good happens, problems with products that are about to be released, system failures that were not foreseen and hundreds of other problems that Jihyo doesn't understand but which she knows mean that something is not working as it should.
Hirai Momo, one of the software developers at the head of the department enters nervously and hurriedly with her fringe hairs sticking to her forehead from sweat, her shirt sleeves rolled up and her tie unbuttoned. She is out of breath and her glasses are covered in a layer of mist indicating the urgency of the situation as Momo seems to have come running into the office. All the signs alert Jihyo and prepare her for the worst, she is ready to hear that their new line of cell phones that are about to be shipped to every store in the country will have to be recalled due to some glitch, like that time they discovered that their new long lasting batteries exploded. She was prepared to listen to anything except for what Momo says as soon as she catches her breath without even leaning in.
"We've been hacked."
The initial shock leaves Jihyo frozen in place within moments but it doesn't take her long to react as she puts the pieces together, of course it's Horai Momo who's breaking the news to her that they've suffered an attack. It only takes her a few seconds to get up with fire in her eyes and stand in front of Momo making the employee swallow hard.
"It has been stopped, but we don't know yet who has done it or what information they have stolen or altered" she says before Jihyo unleashes her anger at her, but this is not enough.
"You better fix this as soon as possible or I will fire you and make sure you have to go back to Japan because you are not going to be hired anywhere in this country, not even to clean toilets" Jihyo threatens pointing her finger and staring straight into the face of the woman in front of her who is not able to look her back in the eyes because if she does she knows she will end up crying.
"Yes, Jihyo-nim. I'll fix it" she says bowing a bunch of times while stuttering a few apologies before walking away.
I should have figured it out, now she feels completely stupid for falling for it. It's kind of evil and sick even for their fucked up relationship, Jihyo thinks.
Without thinking twice she grabs her bag and leaves the office asking Lily to cancel all meetings until further notice, seeing the obvious anger of her boss she doesn't even dare to open her mouth and just nods vigorously. She has seen Jihyo angry a million times, but never like this, so she imagines that the news Hirai gave her must be very serious.
As she is about to leave the building she catches a glimpse of Minatozaki Sana at her reception desk and unable to control her anger she heads to her desk. Sana's usual smiling expression disappears as soon as she sees her boss's gaze and she freezes in place, from the look on her face only one thing can have happened, she knows it.
"I'll tell you the same thing I told your friend Hirai. If I find out that you are involved in this you can start packing your bags to go back to Japan because I will personally make your life a living hell" she threatens her with a stern tone, but low enough to only reach the receptionist's ears. As quickly as he arrived, she disappears from her side and exits the building where a car is waiting for her.
From the very first minute Sana got into all this she knew it was risky and she is not worried about the consequences because she knows that just as Jeongyeon promised them, she has nothing to worry about. Still there is something bothering Sana because she doesn't really know what the CEO is referring to, so she decides to immediately look for Mina and Momo to get answers.
Meanwhile, Jihyo, who feels that she has more than enough information, gives her driver the address of Signal Systems' main building at the other end of the Central Business District. There he is greeted by a wide-eyed receptionist, Chou Tzuyu, who can't hide her puzzled face when the CEO of the rival company she works for as an informant is in front of her. However, her job at Signal Systems is to receive those who have an appointment with Yoo Jeongyeon and let her or her secretary know that they have arrived. Obviously, the name Park Jihyo is not among today's meeting list and has never been before, so the astonishment among the workers and visitors who have recognized her is generalized. Tzuyu can only fear the worst and her suspicions are not misguided when she leans on the counter asking for Jeongyeon's floor number, the way to the elevators and orders her not to warn that she is here. The receptionist who is smart enough and appreciates her life does as she tells her and also gives her a guest access card without asking any questions.
That's how Park Jihyo gets to the top floor of the Signal Systems building where the office of its CEO, Yoo Jeongyeon, is located, nothing more than that. But for Jihyo, right now she is nothing more than her rival, one who uses disgusting tactics even for her usual game which includes espionage among other things of questionable ethics. Between the elevator and their destination is the desk of Dahyun, Joengyeon's trusted secretary and Jihyo's informant.
"Good morning, Dahyun" she greets her with a smile that sends a shiver through Dahyun's body, who seeing the fire in Jihyo's eyes doesn't know if she should fear for her job or her life. "I come to see your dear boss, I guess she's in her office."
The secretary nods and when she opens her mouth to continue, Jihyo makes a gesture with her hand telling her to shut up and then walks with firm steps towards the office. She storms in, but what she sees leaves her as shocked as those in the room.
"Jihyo?!" Jeongyeon's voice sounds surprised and confused.
"JIHYO?!"  the woman with her back facing the door exclaims even more surprised and confused.
"Nayeon?" she is so astonished that for a moment she forgets why she has come here.
They look at each other, shocked by the situation they are in, they stare at each other without saying anything for a few seconds until Jeongyeon decides to take control of the situation as she feels her heart hammering in her chest. It's been a week since she saw Jihyo and since then she hadn't contacted her, so the last thing she expected was for her to suddenly walk into her office just on the same day and at the same time that Nayeon does.
"What are you doing here?" she asks, trying to control the trembling in her voice.
"Stop pretending, I'm not falling for your game. You know what I'm doing here" she says harshly, very different since the last time he talked to her.
"Well... I guess" she says, looking at Nayeon with concern. The older woman looks at one and then the other like she's watching a tennis match. "But I mean, you could have texted or called me," she says, turning her gaze to Nyeon again to see if Jihyo gets the message.
"Yeah right, the only way with you the only way things can be done is face to face or did you want to have more proof to add to your fucking folders?" says Jihyo starting to lose her composure as she feels like she is being treated like a complete idiot once again.
"I think this is a conversation you two should have between the two of you" Nayeon says stepping in for the first time. "And I know maybe this is my fault because I was the one who asked not to know about your stupid corporate war, but I think I deserve an explanation. I thought you two didn't talk and all of a sudden you show up unannounced talking about proofs and folders."
"You're right unnie" she says, directing her gaze towards Nayeon and then Jeongyeon, looking at the latter in a way so cold and full of rage that it makes her stomach turn. "Why don't you explain it to her? Tell her. Tell how you invited me to dinner to make me a deal and how it was actually a threat. I give in to what you ask or you ruin my life, my family and the work we've done for decades."
Her gestures are exaggerated and she doesn't take her eyes off Jeongyeon who looks at her dumbfounded not knowing what Jihyo is getting at, at first she thought she was being theatrical, she can be very passionate sometimes. It's not until she sees her eyes that she realizes she's totally serious, there's no sparkle in those big beautiful eyes anymore. Then she sees it, she has the same look as that one time, but this time she doesn't understand why.
Neither of the older girls knows quite what to answer, but they don't need to because Jihyo continues "Come on! tell her what happened later" she insists. She sounds really hurt, almost desperate, worrying both of them who have never seen Jihyo this distraught.
"Jihyo, calm down" Jeongyeon says in a soft tone as she approaches her. "I don't know what happened, but I do know that you don't want to tell Nayeon like this. Calm down and we'll talk."
"Don't even fucking think about telling me to calm down Jeongyeon. In fact I would really like my friend to know the kind of person she has next to her. Someone capable of doing what you have done to me" at this point she starts to raise her voice.
"I'm going to need one of you to explain to me what's going on, but I understand this is something you two need to work out between yourselves" she says still in her seat as she gestures for Jihyo to come closer and when she does she grabs her hand and caresses it trying to calm her down.  "Breath" she whispers to the younger girl who is breathing fast, then looks at Jeongyeon threateningly and says "If you did something to her, this time I'm going to pick a side Yoo Jeongyeon" Nayeon warns Jeongyeon pointing her finger at her. "I'm going to leave, please don't do anything stupid, I'm serious."
Nayeon over the years has learned to stay out of her friends' fight because after trying to intervene numerous times over the years she knows that all they need is to have a conversation that they have never been willing to have. She has heard both sides of the story and knows the motives that have driven each to do what they have done and, while she has not always agreed, she understands why each has done things the way they have and would be unable to judge them for it. She also knows about spies, informants, infiltrators... or whatever they call it.  She is the first to know that they do not always act according to the image of impeccable businesswomen they portray to the world. At the end of the day they are her friends despite the feud that exists – or existed – but if Jeongyeon has harmed Jihyo in some way that has gone beyond their professional rivalry, she wants to know about it even if she has to wait for them to sort things out on their own first.
They both watch Nayeon leave the office and look at each other. Jihyo has her clenched fists and tight jaw, she is still breathing heavily and can see her veins bulging in her neck and arms. From the obvious tension all over her body she can tell that she is indeed holding back and trying not to lose control. Jeongyeon is at a safe distance and is doing her best to try to maintain eye contact and to keep her trembling hands busy and out of Jihyo's sight, adjusting her clothes and hides them from time to time in the sleeves of her blazer, a gesture she had managed to shed but which is inevitable to return at times like this.  Her calmness had left with Nayeon. She still doesn't know what's going on and is afraid of making a mistake with Jihyo that will take her back to square one or much worse. She's willing to do everything in her power to avoid it, but it's definitely a possibility considering she's never seen Jihyo like this.
"Ji I swear- ".
"Don't even think of calling me that" she raises her tone. "Stop lying, cut the act, Nayeon is not here."
"Why don't you tell me what happened?" the other tries again. "I know you're completely confident that I know but maybe it's good to talk things out for once."
"Oh this will be a good conversation because I would really like to know why you are a backstabbing bitch who is capable of betraying me again."
Maybe it's not in the best of circumstances, but Jihyo finally says it. The time has finally come to talk about the subject that both of them have been purposely ignoring. They never talked about it when it happened and neither did they talk about it at the restaurant, in Jeongyeon's living room, in her bed or the next day while having breakfast. They talked about many other things and talked about the past but this was a badly healed wound that no one dared to touch.
"Finally you say it, I knew you haven't let it go, are you still angry about it?"
"I'm not, but even if I were you would have no right to judge me. Tell me what kind of friend would take advantage of the moment I was going through for her own benefit."
"That's not what happened, there's a reason."
"Jeongyeon..." he spits out her name while getting as close as the table between the two of them allows her. "This isn't about having different opinions, it's about facts and the facts speak for themselves. My father died, you stood by me through the entire funeral, you hugged me and promised to be there for whatever I needed" she says as angry tears build up in her eyes. "Overnight you cut off all contact with me and a month later ZoneTech released an announcement informing that Yoo Jeongyeon was taking over as CEO of the company."
Our brains have a tendency to forget the bad times so that we can move on, but for Jihyo it was impossible to forget everything that happened during one of the darkest chapters of her life. She was only 22 years old, studying abroad about to graduate from a prestigious foreign university. One day while studying in the library for the first exams of the term she got a call from her mother crying inconsolably telling her that her father had suffered a heart attack. She still remembers the cry of pain her mother let out when she asked if he was okay, if he was in the hospital. Her father had died on the spot and there was nothing they could do. She left everything immediately and thanks to a family friend she was able to go on a private flight back to Korea a few hours after the call.
During those days she did not shed a tear, but she knew that if at any time tears came to her eyes Nayeon and even Jeongyeon would be there to offer her a shoulder to cry on. It had been a while since the relationship between her and Jeongyeon had changed and they were becoming more and more distant, but she was the first to let her know that she was there for whatever he needed and she proved it by not leaving his side during the funeral and even during the opening of the will in which only the closest family members were allowed to be there.
No one expects to have to read the will of someone as young as Jihyo's father, not even Jihyo herself. When he named Jihyo as the sole heir and manager of the company and the family estate, he believed that when the time came for them to open her will, she would already have a successful career within the company and maybe even a family to take care of. However, that was not the case, so his daughter was forced to leave her new life as a student abroad with all her new friends and aspirations to return home and take the reins of a technology empire and one of the largest fortunes in the country while maintaining her excellent academic record as a model student in a new university.
Needless to say, it was difficult and she even paid for it with her health at times as she did not eat properly, she was overworked and under-rested. Despite having people who could do a lot of things for her, she needed to keep her mind busy because on top of her father's death there was the uproar with the press and media when some of the details of the will came to light. A few days later her friend and unconditional support during this hard process, Jeongyeon had started to avoid her and Nayeon from one day to another without giving any explanation.
The reason was discovered soon after through Signal Systems' statement, after that it was Jihyo who decided not to talk to Jeongyeon ever again unless there were cameras, potential partners or important clients in front of them.
Jeongyeon sighs because despite having good reasons that back up her decisions, she didn't act wisely and now she knows it, but that still doesn't explain why Jihyo has suddenly stormed into her office accusing her of betraying her. Before sharing her side of the story and asking for explanations she steps out from behind her desk to continue the conversation on the couch she has for more informal meetings. When she puts her hand on Jihyo's arm inviting her to make herself comfortable, she moves her arm away and mumbles, "Don't touch me". She is hurt, maybe even more hurt than angry.
Being aware of the younger girl's hostility, Jeongyeon believes it is a must to calm the situation down if she wants Jihyo to listen to her instead of looking for the perfect opportunity to elevate the conflict to another level, fearing that everything will end up exploding hurting the two of them and by extension Nayeon.
She takes the first step by offering her a tissue with her still shaking hands to wipe away her tears and offers her a smile. Jihyo immediately notices the shaking hands and all the alarms go off in her head, she had forgotten that sometimes in stressful situations Jeongyeon suffers anxiety attacks if she wasn't starting to have one already. Even if she feels absolute disgust towards her right now, she would hate herself if she triggered an anxiety or panic attack.
"I'm fine," Jeongyeon assures her, noticing the panic in her eyes, "but we both need to calm down and since it's too early for a beer I'll ask my secretary to make us some tea," she concludes.
Reluctantly Jihyo agrees and in a few minutes they are seated drinking tea in silence, thinking about how they got to this point. They have always had problems with communication, and although it has been between yelling, this is the first time they have been so honest with each other. Not keeping up appearances, not ignoring each other's problems, and not bottling up their feelings. They haven't done it in the most healthy or civilized way, but it's a start.
After several sips Jeongyeon's hands stop shaking, but Jihyo shifts on her seat impatiently.
"I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to ask you what I did to make you like this" the older one breaks the ice "as you pointed out I can be quite dense" she says shyly. "If this is all about the deal I offered and the lawsuit, I-"
"Stop! Do you really think I'm worried about a lawsuit right now when you just fucking hacked me?" she asks, losing her temper again, but she doesn't mind, it hurts so much that she couldn't care less if Jeongyeon sees her like this or if everyone in this building could hear her. "You sleep with me, and once again you suddenly disappear. Today when I got to work they hacked ZoneTech and when I got here there's Nayeon. You had it all planned" she accuses her directly as tears start to fall from her eyes. "I just asked you not to hurt me and you ruined me" she says trying to hold back the tears.
It takes Jeongyeon a moment to process and react to all the information Jihyo has given her between screams and tears. She doesn't understand anything that has happened, but it breaks her heart to see Jihyo. Not even during her father's funeral did she cry or when he first broke her heart and now she has her in front of her telling her that she has ruined his life. It hurts her that Jihyo might actually think she would do something like that, but seeing her sobbing with her mascara smeared and her eyes bloodshot from anger and crying makes her chest hurt.
Despite her fear of how she might react, she wraps her arms around her and finally speaks “Ji, trust me one more time and believe me when I tell you that I had nothing to do with this and I know deep down you know that I wouldn't be able to do something like this. I would never hurt you" she whispers softly in her ear trying to soothe her, but Jihyo's crying only increases soaking her shirt on the part of her chest where her head is resting.
The sobs get louder and she begins to hear Jihyo cursing at her and telling her that she hates her, but she can't blame her. It's been some unfortunate coincidences and no wonder Jihyo has thought the worst.
"Stop treating me like an idiot, you already did it once" she manages to say between sobs.
Jeongyeon sighs as she continues to hug her and caress her back "I think it's time to explain everything that happened" she says as she pulls away from Jihyo to look at her face and grabs her hands so as not to lose contact with her skin. She looks away, unable to look at her because of the pain, anger and embarrassment she feels.
"I told you the other day and I will tell you as many times as necessary until you believe it. I don't hate you and I have never hated you, nor have I ever wanted to hurt you. I love you, I always have and I'm so afraid of what you make me feel that all this time I thought that by pushing you away I was protecting both myself and you as well" she sighs. "Our lives are so complicated and I thought that someday these feelings would go away" she looks at her anxiously looking for a reaction in Jihyo, who still won't look at her, but at least the crying is more controlled. "I thought what I felt for you was a high school crush that could ruin everything for me, but it's not like that and running away from you and everything you make me feel almost ruined my happiness."
Until now Jeongyeon had never been clear with her feelings, but that's not all. "I thought that by running away from me I was doing you a favor and that if you hated me everything would be easier. That's why I never gave you the reasons or explanations you deserve and now I know it was a huge mistake, but after everything that has happened I wouldn't forgive myself for pushing you away from me again, because I know that this time it would be the final one. If you are willing to listen to me, I will tell you everything, but I promise you that I have nothing to do with this hacker attack you have suffered."
Jihyo is not sure, experience, all the times she ended up calling Nayeon crying, all the times she ended up in bed with strangers and the times she got drunk looking for some relief tell her to be smarter, that this time she should be the one to end it all instead of staying to suffer another disappointment. However, the more irrational part of her, the part that still thinks there is a possibility of a future together, begs her to stay and listen to her.
She looks down at her hands between Jeongyeon and when he manages to calm her breathing she looks up at her not quite sure of what to do or what to say even though she has already made up her mind.
"You look awful" Jeongyeon tells her in a pointless attempt to tease that almost bring Jihyo to tears again "Fuck- sorry I was trying to joke, Ji" she says nervously repeating the affectionate nickname once more. With one of her hands she tries to fix the mess of her makeup and with all the gentleness in the world she reaches over and kisses the tears still left on her cheeks. "There's a restroom over there, take your time" and Jihyo just nods, too defeated to refuse.
Just as he told her, she takes her time and manages her best to clean her face, fix her hair and clothes trying to pull herself together. After Jeongyeon has seen her like this, she feels pathetic. Until her breathing returns to normal she doesn't come out of the restroom, though her red and puffy eyes give her away.
"About the hacking let me take care of it, we'll find the culprits and I'll do my best to fix it and prove to you that it wasn't me."
"I believe you" Jihyo finally speaks and the relief is so great that Jeongyeon can't help but let out the breath she has been holding. "This morning when Hirai Momo came to my office I assumed it was your doing, the attack has been stopped, but when I left they didn't know what its origin was or what exactly they did."
"I will talk to Momo, it will be solved today" she assures her while holding her hand.
Before continuing with their unfinished conversation, Jeongyeon calls Hirai Momo and makes her look for Myoui Mina and also Minatozaki Sana who, to Jihyo's surprise, is also some computer expert. After listening to too many technical words, Jihyo was finally able to participate in the conversation and they ended up making a deal: if they managed to find out who was responsible in 24 hours, they can keep working in the company and they will not have to go back to Japan as she had warned Momo and Sana hours before. Jeongyeon, in her efforts to show Jihyo that things would be different from now on if she trusted her, encouraged them with the promise of inviting them to dinner at the best restaurant in the country.
Once she hangs up the phone she directs her gaze towards Jihyo "What do you say? Let's get out of here, grab some food and I'll take you wherever you tell me so I can explain everything to you. I'll even burn paper by paper all the evidence of the lawsuit if I have to because I don't plan to lose you and take the risk of Nayeon killing me."
This time Jihyo smiles and nods, taking her hand "Come on, but if you give me reason to be suspicious I'm telling Nayeon" she jokingly warns her.
So that's what they did, Jeongyeon told Dahyun to cancel everything on her schedule for the rest of the day and hoping to get lucky, she also told her to let her know if they have to cancel their meetings the next day. Of course Kim Dahyun did that and rearranged his schedule but not before opening the group chat with Chayeoung and Tzuyu to tell them everything she had overheard, especially the mention of Minatozaki Sana, Chaeyoung's situationship.
They end up at Jeongyeon's house as well, although the purpose is quite different this time. Jeongyeon explains to her the reason behind each time she broke his heart. She explains how her father did everything he could to keep her away from Jihyo, even forcing her to study abroad. She tells her that that kiss she gave her after receiving her bouquet of flowers and her confession on her graduation day was sincere, but knowing that she would be away for so many years at a university thousands of miles away she didn't want to take away her opportunity to have a first high school love and maybe to find someone who was really good for her, someone who wasn't afraid to love her. She reveals to her each of the events that led her to accept the CEO position after finding out that her father would do everything in his power to end ZoneTech by taking advantage of the instability he thought Mr. Park’s death would bring. She did that in an attempt to protect her but it didn't last long since she was forced to respond to the constant attacks that Jihyo initiated once she settled into the position. And of course she makes it clear to her that this last week of silence had been an attempt to give her space when the truth is that she was dying to talk to her, to listen to her, to see her and to feel her in her arms again.
When the conversation ends, it's already dark and Jihyo goes back to sleep in Jeongyeon's bed, but tonight they just share kisses, secrets, apologies and the promise of a future together. Before sleep overcomes them Jeongyeon whispers in her ear "Don't go to work tomorrow, let me take you on a date to make up for my mistakes and to start making up for time we wasted".

just like momo

The sun had been up for a while by the time Dahyun opened her eyes. She stretched out in her bed and turned to pick up her phone. Once she saw that it was already 11 in the morning, she slid out of bed and rubbed her eyes.
The schedule she had the day before wore her out so a long sleep was just what she needed. She shuffled into the living room and into the kitchen to make herself a glass of milk when she saw Mina sitting at the counter.
"You slept in quite a bit. Long schedule yesterday?" Mina smiled when Dahyun just responded with a silent nod and a small wave. She helped her get a plastic cup out of the cabinet before sitting back down.
"Where's Momo?" Dahyun asked in between a yawns and looked around the kitchen. She stuck her head out into the living room but didn't see the girl anywhere.
"She's been up for a few hours. She regressed overnight so I changed her sheets and fed her breakfast. She's been out on the balcony for a while." Just based on the relaxed state she was in and the drink she chose, Mina could tell that Dahyun had regressed as well. She wasn't too sure how old, but she knew she wasn't feeling really little.
“Can I go out with her?” Dahyun briefly behind Mina and caught a glance of Momo’s back.
Mina checked the time in her phone and nodded but held her hand out for Dahyun to wait. She got up and looked in the cupboards. Pulling down a bag of bread and a jar of jam, she spread the jam on a piece of bread and handed it to Dahyun. “Eat this at least while you’re out there with her.”
With a bit of hesitation, Dahyun took the plate. She looked down at the jam-covered bread and frowned. “Do I have to eat the whole -”
“Yes. And no you can’t just give it to Momo. I know how you get when you’re hungry in the mornings.” Mina let out a small chuckle when Dahyun kept her pout. She kissed Dahyun on the side of the head before she gently pushed her towards the door leading to the balcony.
Dahyun gave a slight groan in protest but took the plate as she walked to the balcony door. She slowly pulled it open, not wanting to scare Momo.
Before Dahyun could even say hello to the little, Momo turned around and put a finger to her lips to shush her big sister. “Gotta be quiet, Hyun.”
It was quiet in the little alleyway below their apartment building so Dahyun wasn’t sure why she wasn’t allowed to say anything. Still, she put up no fight and sat beside Momo. As she bit into her piece of bread, she gave a small hum in appreciation. She didn’t really want to eat it, but Mina did know her well.
“Whatcha looking at, Momo?” Dahyun tried her best to whisper. She received a small glare from the little, but Momo immediately turned her attention back to what she had been watching for the past hour or so.
“Look like Momo.”
Dahyun’s eyebrows knitted together in clear confusion as she followed Momo’s finger that pointed down into the alleyway. Her eyes darted across the potted plants and puddles until they eventually settled on a blob in the dumpster.
“W-what is that?” Dahyun set her half eaten piece of bread down and put the plate beside her. She leaned her forehead against the bars of the balcony and watched as the blob started to move.
“Momo!” The little whisper-yelled and pointed again towards the moving blob. A few seconds of movement later, the blob turned.
“Is that a raccoon?” Dahyun’s eyes widened as the raccoon turned more. Its masked face was halfway in a box of pizza.
Momo just nodded and pointed to herself proudly. “Jus’ like Momo.”
Dahyun couldn’t help but giggle. She watched the raccoon for a few more minutes while she finished her bread. The fluffy raccoon wasn’t exactly like Momo, but she could definitely see a few similarities.
“What are you two watching out here?”
Momo jumped a little when she heard Mina’s voice. She whined and pouted when she saw the raccoon climb out of the dumpster and down the long alleyway. “Momo go away!”
Mina looked at Dahyun who gave her a sympathetic smile. “We were watching a raccoon in the dumpster. Momo said that it looked like her… I think.”
Mina looked down at Momo who had her arms crossed, the pout firmly planted on her lips. “I’m sorry, pumpkin. I didn’t mean to scare your friend away.”
Dahyun tried to cheer the little up but her efforts were all in vain as Momo’s pout deepened. Mina let out a small sigh and crouched down beside the two. She kissed Momo’s cheek and gently uncrossed her arms to hold her hand.
“How about we go out today and get you a raccoon stuffy just for you?”
At this, Momo’s eyes lit up. She turned and looked at Mina in disbelief. “Jus’ for Momo.” Once Mina nodded in confirmation, Momo excitedly stood up. She tugged on Mina’s hand, too eager to wait until later in the day to get her new friend.

Twice reaction to S/O surprising them at their comeback

nayeon
Tumblr media
nayeon was absolutely exhausted. the comeback that rolled around took a lot out of her as she laid down on the couch off set. but she couldn't have been more shocked as she felt a pair of hands cover her eyes. she was about to scream and shout until she heard a very familiar voice. one that reminded her of home.
"guess who?"
she didn't even need to guess as she let out a squeal of excitement. quickly getting up, she hugged you tightly and breathed in your lavender scent, letting it all set in for her. you were here.
"i missed you so much."
jeongyeon
Tumblr media
she was the mom of the group. she'd always had that label and she was proud of it but sometimes she needed someone to take care of her. it sucked to have these thoughts. it really did. but sometimes she just couldn't control it and started thinking about the what ifs and what could be if she just stopped trying. 7 years was a long time. longer than most. she just thought about if she just cooped up in her home with you and do nothing all day. she doubted that there'd much of a difference.
luckily, you were always there to pick her up and this time was no different. you had surprised the girls out of the blue with a huge platter of food and then decided to stay in the corner of the room with your girl until she got called out to go perform. god knows how much she needed that.
momo
Tumblr media
momo had a lot going on in her head as she sat there on the couch. for this comeback, she was the center again for most of the song just like more and more and it was nerve-wracking. it's always been but she's just gotten better at hiding it. despite her position as the main dancer, she still had her worries. would she forget a step in the choreography? would she mess up? would she embarrass herself and the rest of the girls?
thankfully, her mind was taken off her worries as she heard a rhythmic knock on the door and low and behold, it was you. the only person she could open up to. the only person who understood her in a way no one else could. then you said the exact things she needed to hear as soon as you sat beside her.
"you'll do amazing."
sana
Tumblr media
sana was always an extremely fun person to be around but no one was having it today. she had always fed off of everyone's good energy and well... no one was having good energy today. the rest of the girls were all lazing around on the couch or on the floor as they waited to be called out again to perform another time for their stage.
so all she did was sit there on a chair, hands on her knees as she looked around not knowing what to do for the rest of her time here until she saw the door in front of her open slightly. your head popped out into view and she immediately ran her way to you. you were taken aback by how fast she wrapped her arms around you, almost ignoring the food and drinks in your hand but at least you knew she was happy to see you.
jihyo
Tumblr media
jihyo had a lot of responsibilities as a leader. a bit too much honestly but she'd never tell anyone except you. you were her rock. with you by her side, she felt like she could accomplish anything but the opposite was also true. you were so heavily "sick" that you couldn't make it to her promotions and she was extremely tired from it all.
finally wrapping it up, she made her way into the van where she sat there mindlessly just staring at her phone awaiting a text from you. it was tradition. she'd always tell you when she'd be done and you'd always be there to lift her spirits up whether it was just a simple compliment on a text or a short phone call. her eyebrows furrowed as there was nothing for several minutes. not a single thing happened until she heard someone speak up from the driver's seat, "you did great ji."
"what?" no one called her that except you. yet the person in the seat in front of her sounded a lot like you.
you peeked around the seat to face her as you gave her a quick smile, her being as surprised as you were when she practically pulled your head towards her chest. a clear sign that she had missed you a ton.
mina
Tumblr media
she was so tired. something she likes to call her "social meter" has been almost empty since the hour she left you to do promotions for their new song. and the worst of it all, she was in such a rush this morning she forgot to bring her phone or some games to keep her mind off things. she just wanted to curl up at home with you by her side as you two played together or went straight to bed.
as she made her way into the lounge, she just sat there staring at the wall mindlessly. she didn't want to talk to anyone right now nor could she use her phone. taking her out of her trance-like state, she felt someone tap her shoulder.
"mina." your voice rang in her ears as her head whipped around in surprise, spotting you with her phone and her nintendo switch in your hands and a smile on your face, "i know you have a lot more to do today, so i know you needed these!"
oh, how thankful she was that she had you with her on these types of days.
dahyun
Tumblr media
dahyun loved comebacks. she loved her fans even more but despite that, it doesn't take away from the fact that it's exhausting. mentally and physically. she let out a lengthy sigh as she laid down, arm over her eyes to block out the light.
she heard the girls snickering over something but she decided to just tune it out as she tried to get some more rest. though it wouldn't last long as she heard jihyo tell her to look over to her. reluctantly she got up as she finally saw you with her favorite brand of chocolates and a bouquet of flowers.
she was honestly astonished as she slowly walked over to you. "what's the occasion?"
"nothing. i just wanted to show you how much i love you."
chaeyoung
Tumblr media
while all the other girls were conversating between each other, chaeyoung had a little sketchbook placed down on her lap sketching the only thing that came to mind at the time. you. but she couldn't help but get frustrated when she looked at the drawing she had just done. it wasn't close to the real thing. not at all.
"oh that's cute!"
her head turned around in surprise as she saw you looking down at her sketchbook. "y/n?" she quickly covered your face on her sketchbook as you laughed, "is that me? it looks pretty spot on."
she shook her head as she threw her arms around you, "not as pretty as the real thing."
tzuyu
Tumblr media
tzuyu was missing you. like almost too much. before their comeback started, she practically spent her days with her hip glued to yours. you two did everything together and now that you two were apart for so long, she was extremely sad. you kept in touch with her through phone calls and texting every day, but it never compared to the real thing. she loved talking to you in person. just to be in your presence was enough for her.
so when she felt someone snake their arms around her stomach, she wasn't truly surprised. she immediately recognized who it was. she clasped her hands around yours as she turned around to engulf you in a big hug.

Three is a magic number - it makes you want me even more.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Acting like a brat doesn't end well.
Tumblr media
handcuffs ; degradation ; dacryphilia ; a little bit edging ; a little bit of overstimulating ; some petnames ; use of a whip ; thigh riding ; reader is getting called miss ; not proofread, guys what the fuck happened to me... is this even nr1chaedickrider anymore... ; ^_^
men dni.
-
Her ass sways to the left and right side as she walks. Her already short dress rides up even higher, showing her ass off.
You wish that it would atleast show a bit of her underwear - but no.
Her naked ass is right infront of you.
A night that was supposed to be "fun" turned out to you dragging her back home.
A night that was supposed to be about spending time with friends and drinking alcohol turned into you almost throwing her onto your bed.
You straddle her and sit down on her lap, trapping her with your legs.
She sits up and supports her body with her elbows, looking up to you with lidded eyes - and a nasty smirk that comes with it just seconds after.
"Such a slut" you say, breaking the silence.
The tension is thick, the atmosphere of the room full of lust, anger and - sex.
She raises an eyebrow, tries not to smile at the name calling.
"Am I? I think I behaved just like usually."
You scoff, laughing at her statement (which is in your opinion crazy).
"If you call this your usual behavior then we have a big problem." you say, standing up as you walk to the closet.
"Clothes off, now." you add in a tone that makes her cunt throb, in a way that got her so needy for you, in a tone that sounds like you're ordering her to do something (which you are technically really doing).
She obeys, taking her dress off and letting it fall down on the floor before laying down on the bed again.
Your eyes wander around the closet, looking at different boxes, knowing that you're searching for that special box.
You chuckle a little when you find it and open it. Taking out two things -
First, metal handcuffs.
Second, a leather whip, with thin threads that hurt even more when used.
The combination of you and these two things is dangerous.
Sana always had a thing for danger.
Sana also thinks that three is her favorite number.
Handcuffs, leather whip, and lastly, the most important part -
you.
You turn around to the bed again, carrying both of those in your hands as you sit down on her lap again.
She watches you with anticipation, not being able to hide her smirk anymore.
Without saying anything, you take her wrists and attach the handcuffs to them. The cold metal sends Sana a shiver down her spine.
You then look at her again, the whip in your hand.
"Leave your arms over your head." you order her, and she nods.
Your slim fingers slowly trail over her body, touching her in a way that got her craving for more.
Your hand cups her cheek, and you can't hide the chuckle that leaves your mouth when you look at Sana who looks at you so desperately. Sana, who watches you and hopes that you finally do something to help her get off.
At this moment, however, hope doesn't help her.
You stroke her cheek with your thumb before you lean in to kiss her other cheek.
Sana tries to move, tries to catch your lips so desperately, but you move away, your and her lips not even touching for a single second.
She lets out a small whine, making you laugh.
"Do you really think im gonna let you get a kiss so easily?" you ask.
"You're pathetic"
You feel her thighs move against eachother.
"Trying to rub your thighs together to somehow get relief?" you tease her.
"Please-" she asks, no, she begs, brows furrowed as she looks up to you.
The whip hits her chest and she lets out a whimper.
"Please what?" you ask her.
"Please miss-" she lets out, her chest already turning into a light shade of red.
"I need you so bad"
You laugh.
"Too bad."
You get off her lap, opening her legs as you settle inbetween them.
You watch her breathe as she stares at you, she can't stop looking at the way your white wife beater shows off your body so well, and how you're nipples are a little visible because you didn't want to wear a bra today (which is in her opinion problably the best decision ever).
Your finger trails down her stomach to her core, moving it through her folds as she lets out a moan.
You pull your hand away, looking at her slick on your finger.
"You're so desperate.. what am I supposed to do with you baby?" you ask, knowing damn well what you want to do.
Edge her until she is almost crying for you.
Overstimulate her till she begs you to stop while she herself knows she doesn't want you to stop.
"Please.. miss.. just- I need you inside, so fucking bad-" she answers, hips moving slightly in hopes of getting touched.
You laugh a little at her desperateness and at the way she really hopes that you will give in that easily.
But there is no fun to it if you don't make her think that you gave in hm?
Your middle and ring fingers enter her core and she lets out a louder moan, head leaned back.
"God-" she moans.
You move your fingers in a fast way, curling them and hitting the spots that got Sana throwing her head back even more.
You lean closer to her, kissing her neck as your fingers thrust into her. She lets out a whimper when you start to suck and bite on her neck, marking her up.
Your hot breath against her neck and your fingers moving so skillful got her already close to her orgasm.
And she really thought that you would give it to her.
You pull out your fingers that are covered with her slick.
Sana lets out a groan when she feels the emptiness.
"You're stupid" you say, chuckling at the way she pouts a little.
"Turn around" you order, she obeys and turns around so she is on all fours infront of you. She looks at you over her shoulder, her look full of lust and need.
You take a deep breath, trying not to give in immideatly by the way she looks at you that definetly got you wet.
You caress her ass with the whip, Sana still looks at you, not able to take her eyes off you.
"Count them and i'll let you cum baby." you say and she nods, her bottom lip trapped between her teeth.
"one-" she moans out when you hit her, and you definetly can't hide your smile anymore.
You hit her again, "two.." she whimpers.
Your other hand starts to touch her everywhere.
You grope her tits and play with her sensitive nipples as she tries to hold back her moans.
Another hit, "three-".
"Such a good whore for me, aren't you?" you whisper against her body as you kiss her soft skin.
The whip hits her again, the beige skin on her ass slowly fading to a darker shade of red.
"F-four" she moans.
You decide that you won't give her any time to relax anymore.
You hit again, "five"
And again, "six-" her eyes slowly full of tears, her wetness being uncomfortably bothering.
Again, "seven.."
Hit eight and nine happen fast without a single break, making Sana stutter as a tear flows down her cheek.
You hit her for the last time - "ten" she says, and you smile as you put the whip away and caress her ass with your hand.
You turn her around again, on her back.
She pants a little, her arms lifted over her head, the handcuffs tight around her wrists, problably already leaving red marks.
You place your hand on her core, slowly rubbing her clit with your fingers.
She lets out some soft moans, you lean in and kiss her lips, no teasing, no nothing.
Your lips on hers - it feels like kissing the softest pillow in the whole world.
The kiss turns messy pretty fast though.
Sana's breathing gets heavier as you trail kisses down her jaw, adding more hickeys on her neck and collarbone - claiming her as yours.
Your fingers thrust inside with no warning, she moans loud.
You smirk against her skin as you move your fingers with skill.
You continue kissing her everywhere, your lips trailing down to her breast as you take one of her erected buds into your mouth, sucking, licking, and biting a little.
Her moans grow louder, she is overwhelmed in the best way possible. Her climax comes closer as you feel her walls thighten around your fingers.
"Wanna hear you so bad, cum for me like the good girl you are." you say (which sounds more like an order).
She nods a little, eyes closed, her head thrown back.
A little thrusting and teasing her nipples got her cumming on your fingers with a loud moan.
You take your fingers out, cleaning them up a little while holding eye contact with Sana.
"Taste yourself baby" you wait for her to open her mouth as you push your fingers inside, feeling how she sucks on them, feeling how she uses your tongue that got you dripping.
You take them out with a little 'pop' sound.
Before Sana can say anything though, you kneel down - infront of her core, and dive right in.
She starts to turn into a moaning mess again as you suck on her clit.
Her thighs try to close around your head, but you hold them in place with your hands.
"You can touch me." you mumble, the vibrations making her let out another moan.
Her cuffed hands make their way down to your head, gripping your hair as she pulls you closer.
Sana had moments where she could get overstimulated easily.
She moans loud when your tongue enters her hole.
This moment here, is one of them.
She feels you everywhere as her hips buck into your face, her moans turning into desperate whimpers.
Her next orgasm isn't far away when your nose hits her clit as you move your head.
You feel your scalp burning when she pulls at your hair and cums.
She lets your head go seconds after, panting as another tear rolls down her cheek.
You sit up again, looking at her with a smile.
What was Sana's favorite number again?
Three.
Her three favorite things in bed - you, a whip, handcuffs.
Her favorite way of getting off - your fingers, your tongue, your thigh.
Seems like one thing is missing.
You grip her slim waist with your hands as you pull her on your lap.
She looks at you in confusion before she realises.
You flex your thigh and start to move her a little as she moans again.
"W-wait-" she whimpers, the handcuffs on her hands stopping her.
She feels overwhelmed, overstimulated -
and so fucking horny.
She feels like she is going to explode with another orgasm.
But she always loved the pain that comes with it.
You don't even have to grind her on your thigh anymore as she starts moving herself on your thigh, moaning, whimpering, and panting.
"Riding my thigh like a bitch in heat god... You want to cum so bad, don't you?" you ask her, whispering it against her marked up neck as you place kisses on top of them.
She nods and continues to ride you so desperately.
Your hands move up her body as you play with her nipples again, flicking them and even pinching them.
Her moans get louder already, you bite down on her neck again as you leave another mark, sucking and licking over it.
For a moment you think you even had the taste of iron on your tongue.
You look at her, watching how Sana is already so close to her climax as you kiss her again.
You both groan a little against each others lips as her body starts to shake a little as she cums on your thigh.
Sana's head is on your shoulder as she slowly calms down.
"God.." she breathes out.
You giggle a little as you free her from the handcuffs, and see that they really left some marks.
Sana looks at you again, her hands moving on your body until they hold your face.
She moves your head closer so that her lips are right infront of your ear.
She whispers something that makes you want to take off your clothes immideatly - as well as putting on the handcuffs yourself.
"Let me take care of you."

look here (look at me)
-- dahyun / tzuyu, 1.3k. smut // top!tzuyu // MEN DNI
tzuyu's just a little too tempting, too distracting.
Tumblr media
dahyun has never been more exhausted in her life.
she's hunched over her desk, cheek pressed into the hardwood and trying, for the nth time, to convince herself that studying for her finals would be more worth it than doing anything else in the world right now.
she mustn't look very convinced, because tzuyu comes up behind her, worried.
“are you okay?”
dahyun manages a tired smile. if there was anything that could convince her to hang in there a little longer, it would undoubtedly be tzuyu.
“don’t worry.”
tzuyu seems to see right through her, unfortunately. “you need a break, hyun.”
while dahyun appreciates the kind reminder, she knows she has to push the temptation aside.
she sighs, straightening up again. “you know that won't be productive.”
“but you've been studying all day,” tzuyu pouts. “and it's one am already.”
she places her gentle hands on dahyun's shoulders, rubbing lightly and easing the tension between dahyun's joints.
dahyun moans unconsciously, head lolling back. she's never quite been able to resist tzuyu's massages.
her eyes flutter close as she continues, mind drifting. “mhm… well, if you have any other ways to help me learn eight chapters in a day…”
her words trail off, and she assumes this is the end of the discussion, but perhaps she'd been too careless with her reactions, because the edge of tzuyu's lips tug up, and dahyun knows immediately what it means.
“i know a thing or two that could help with something else,” tzuyu hums lowly, a titillating lilt in her voice.
dahyun's cheeks flush.
she stammers to find a response, but her breath halts when tzuyu pulls her chair back, turning her seat around languidly.
dahyun tries to protest, she really does.
“i should– ”
but her mouth goes dry again when tzuyu kneels in between her legs, lidded eyes trained on hers all the while.
“relax, baby,” tzuyu teases.
she slips her thumb beneath the waistband of dahyun's sweats, tugging, but only ever so slightly – a small taste of what's to be desired.
dahyun's stomach flips, and her heart beats so quickly she feels warmth spread right up to her fingertips.
more often than not, it has always been her taking the lead – not to dominate, certainly not; but simply to give and to pleasure – because making tzuyu happy made her happy.
she's never considered – never even thought to consider – that tzuyu could want to lead; or, more importantly, that she herself would enjoy it so much, even if they've barely done anything much yet.
tzuyu looks up expectantly.
dahyun’s heart beats so quickly she wonders how she was ever able to resist at all.
“p-please,” she whispers, hesitant at the unfamiliarity but much too turned on to refuse.
tzuyu lets out a satisfied sound. she tugs on dahyun's waistband again, and dahyun knows enough to lift her hips for her.
“that's it,” tzuyu coos.
her eyes have long left dahyun's, now looking over the damp spot on dahyun's panties while she bites her lips absent-mindedly. she pushes the fabric aside with a finger, and dahyun's so wet it almost has to be peeled off, completely drenched in slick and arousal.
dahyun keeps her gaze on anything else but the sight of tzuyu blown out eyes, face hot at how a few steps of foreplay could rouse her that much.
tzuyu lifts a brow, amused at the sticky hot substance already coating her finger.
“want me to help with that, unnie?”
dahyun's breath hitches. “tzu. anything, please.”
“mhm, alright,” tzuyu giggles.
she tugs dahyun's panties down then, taking it off completely along with dahyun's sweats. when she reclaims her place between dahyun's legs, she lifts dahyun's knees over her shoulders.
dahyun gasps, suddenly pulled forward in her seat. “oh, fuck.”
tzuyu's so close that dahyun can feel her breath on her centre, and her stomach starts clenching already at the minimal stimulation.
“you like this?” tzuyu chuckles.
she lays a cheek against dahyun's inner thigh, looking up with feigned innocence, though her lustfully hooded eyes tell a very different story.
‘n-need you,” dahyun whimpers.
she feels her embarrassment grow as her own wetness pools incessantly on the seat, yet she almost considers throwing all her pride aside to start begging stupidly when she sees tzuyu lick her lips.
“i've never seen you like this before, unnie,” tzuyu muses.
she presses feather light kisses to dahyun's thigh, but the languidness burns like a sting when dahyun's so desperate to be touched properly she could go mad.
tzuyu drawls on, punctuating her words slowly.
“it’s really– ” she says with a kiss. “ – really– ” then kisses again. “ – really– ” and another final kiss to dahyun's thigh. “ – cute.”
dahyun's legs clamp a little more with every kiss, and by now, she's trapped tzuyu in between her legs, her heels digging into tzuyu's back and pulling her in instinctively.
“tzuyu, tzuyu,” dahyun breathes out, nearly whining. “you-your mouth, please. please don't tease.”
the edge of tzuyu's lips tug up, pleased.
“of course, unnie. i did say i'd help, didn't i?”
it's another tease; an embarrassing one, at that, when dahyun had been so insistent on resisting but was now begging like nothing mattered more in the world than having her girlfriend touch her; yet she can barely find half a mind to care when tzuyu finally puts her mouth to work, kissing her clit and sucking deliciously, and it makes dahyun whine so much all the sounds get caught in her throat and she loses her voice momentarily, managing nothing more than soft whimpers and cries.
dahyun tangles a hand in tzuyu's hair, keeping her in place as her grip tightens around the armrest.
“tzu, tzuyu, please– just like that, please don't stop,” she keeps mewling, vocabulary dwindling down to only tzuyu's name and anything else that would get her to keep going.
tzuyu stutters a little, and dahyun wants to beg her to maintain the rhythm, but her mind goes white and she forgets whatever complaints she'd had when she feels tzuyu's fingers coming in between her folds, gathering her arousal thoroughly so she could thrust her fingers into her.
“tzuyu!”
dahyun's hips jolt, and this time she's the one who stutters, head thrown back as her whimpers break into sharp whines. tzuyu only has to suck on her clit once more for dahyun to completely fall apart, faster than she ever has before, quickly coming undone around tzuyu's fingers and mouth as she sobs tzuyu's name incoherently.
tzuyu tries to prolong the pleasure as best she can, but there's only so much she can do after dahyun starts pushing her away, whining with sensitivity. she settles with pressing her palm over dahyun's tummy, rubbing gently until dahyun stops shaking.
“oh my god, tzuyu,” dahyun finally pants. she lays her hand over tzuyu's, blissed out.
tzuyu laughs and rises from her knees to give dahyun a chaste kiss. “how was that?”
dahyun curls her arms around tzuyu's neck, coaxing her in so she could rest her forehead on her shoulder. tzuyu responds in kind, adrenaline helping her pick dahyun up into her arms.
she brings dahyun to their bed, and dahyun almost immediately pulls her in for another kiss once they hit the sheets.
“you should top more,” dahyun murmurs.
tzuyu grins, and dahyun watches as the lust returns to tzuyu's eyes, alluring all over again, both most definitely as into the idea as each other.
“that was nothing… but i recall someone wanting to study more?” tzuyu teases.
laid nearly bare under tzuyu, head still dizzy from her previous orgasm; dahyun tries, for the nth time, to convince herself that studying for her finals would be more worth it than doing anything else in the world right now.
but when tzuyu peppers kisses down her neck, nipping lightly and sneaking her fingers underneath her shirt, dahyun decides – ah, fuck it.
“i can study tomorrow – i want you more.”
Tumblr media

Moonlight Sunrise (Part 2)
Minatozaki Sana x reader
Part 1 / Part 3
Tumblr media
GENRE: angst, fluff, non-idol
TYPE: Short fic
Tumblr media
You could feel the warmth emanating through the wooden doors of the hub, followed by muffled roars of laughter and conversation.
Momo had invited you for a drink in the local pub the night before the start of the event. You had spent the day training and preparing yourself, and you also did some shopping, buying food to pack for the event as it may last up to several weeks, depending on whether any contenders are alive.
Taking a deep breath to brace yourself, you pushed open the door and walked in.
The chatter died down immediately the moment you stepped in, with all of the men looking at you menacingly and with a hint of fear. War heroes, knights, and even thieves were there, all wanting a piece of the treasure. They had nothing in common in terms of background, only one thing—they saw you as their biggest threat.
"Y/N!" A familiar voice called from the back of the pub, Momo. "Over here."
You slowly made your way towards her, hands deep in the pockets of your coat. Some of the people stood up as you passed them, afraid yet trying their best to show their dominance.
You heard one of the groups of people make a move to draw out their weapons as soon as your back was turned, and you swiftly drew out your poison-soaked dagger. Skillfully dodging his swing, you silently and swiftly had your dagger at his throat.
The crowd fell silent, tension thick in the air, as beads of sweat formed on the scarred man's brow.
"I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" He cried out, craning his head to look at his leader for help.
His leader, a blurry hard-faced man, simply looked away and sat down.
"Now now, Y/N," Momo sighed, getting up from her seat and tugging you to release the man. "Let's not kill anyone before the competition."
Reluctantly, you relented, allowing the man to stumble backward and collapse onto the wooden floor.
"But feel free to hunt as many down in the labyrinth," Momo mused with a mischievous glint in her eyes, laughing when she saw the rest of the people shuffle uneasily.
The crowd cleared within seconds, leaving the bar now half empty.
"What a way to clear the crowd, I'm impressed," a soft voice called from the table Momo was originally sitting at, and you looked over to find another of your past colleagues and close friend of your sister, Minjeong.
Minjeong trained with you, your sister Yeji, and Momo at the same academy, spending most of your childhood together under the same master. She was skilled in poison and herbs, choosing to leave the academy as soon as she turned 16 to set off on a journey to learn more in this area. You hadn't seen her since.
You did, however, hear stories about her once in a while—how she turned into a master of poison and started her own academy at the young age of 21. Most of the weapons infused with poison, like the very one you had, were developed by her. Her name was now Winter, possessing a beauty as captivating and alluring as the first snowfall of the season. Her features were delicate yet sharp, like the frost that kissed the landscape with its icy touch. But beneath her stunning exterior lay a darkness, a chill that could freeze the hearts of those who crossed her path. As all of the people who had unfortunately come in contact with her dangerously poisonous infused blade, only managed to utter "cold as winter" before they hit the ground dead.
Contrary to what you had heard about her through these past few years, the tall girl was here, smiling goofily, grabbing you into a familiarly tight hug.
"I missed you, Y/N unnie."
You returned the gesture affectionately, feeling a surge of nostalgia. Minjeong had always been like a younger sister to you, a role she embraced wholeheartedly during your time at the academy.
"You've grown tall, baby rabbit."
She let out a laugh and dragged you and Momo to sit down with her. "That's exactly what Momo unnie told me when she saw me."
Momo simply glared at her with her arms crossed in front of her.
You let out a sigh. This was the face she made whenever someone was about to do something stupid.
"What are you doing here, Minjeongie?"
"Same reason as you. I'm going into the labyrinth."
"No," you said simply, shaking your head, with Momo nodding in agreement. "That's too dangerous."
"Whyyy," Minjeong whined, her tone childlike despite her lethal reputation, "I'm fully capable."
"We know you are, Min. It's just that it's too much of a risk. No one knows what's in the labyrinth," Momo tried to appease the younger girl. "Besides, what could you possibly want from the labyrinth? Money? We can provide that, just tell us how much you need."
The younger girl pouted. Seeing this menacing girl acting so childish must have been bizarre for the people she hunted down.
"I have money. I just really need this material that's rumored to be in the labyrinth," she paused, before quietly muttering, "the ashes of voidlings."
"Absolutely not," Momo hissed, "are you out of your mind?"
Minjeong looked at you pleadingly. She knew you were always the one to relent and fall for her maknae charms.
"If Y/N unnie is with me, it will be safe."
You sighed, shaking your head. "Not this time. Voidlings are not creatures you can kill. Even Master Kim said to flee when we encounter one."
Voidlings originated from dark witchcraft, when a spellbounder cast the darkest, most evil curse on a deceased, turning them into beings of the dark, preying on fear and weakness. These beings were created only if the deceased was filled with enough anger and hatred, making them powerful and nearly unbeatable. There has been no sure way to defeat these creatures. Nearly every person who encountered them died on the spot, let alone survived long enough to defeat them and gather their ashes.
Desperate, Minjeong blurted out the reason she swore to keep secret. "It's for Yeji."
"What?" You paused, putting down your mug and looking at the young girl.
"What about Yeji?" Momo asked, completely out of the loop. You hadn't told her the reason why you were here.
"Yeji wrote me a letter a few weeks ago, asking me for help. She wanted me to accompany Y/N unnie into the labyrinth, saying it was too dangerous for anyone to go alone. She told me you were going for her, and that was when she told me about her illness."
"She's sick? Wha-when? How?" Momo furrowed her brows in concern. "Why didn't you tell me?"
"She's been sick for two years now, and it's getting worse," you lowered your eyes, staring at the droplets that formed on the outside of your mug. "She was poisoned by one of the unknown beings in the far eastern territory, and no one has a way to cure her. That's why I was hoping to find the Luminite stone—you get one wish, right? Maybe this would work."
"My students and I have been trying to figure out a counterpoison for that, and I need the ashes of voidlings," Minjeong patted your hand in comfort, "If the stone doesn’t work, we can try for this."
The three of you sat in silence, each one lost in your thoughts, weighed down by the news like thick clouds pressing down. With every passing moment, the heaviness in the air grew, filling the room with uncertainty and a sense of foreboding that stretched into the late hours of the night. It was as if the very atmosphere held its breath, anticipating some ominous revelation lurking just beyond reach.
After much contemplation and discussion, you and Minjeong came to an agreement, despite Momo's disagreement. If you failed to find the stone within a week, Minjeong would enter the labyrinth and help you find and defeat a voidling. None of you were happy this decision, but this was the only way to save Yeji.
"It's late, you have a big day tomorrow," Momo yawned, rubbing her eyes. Minjeong was already fast asleep with her head drooped over the table.
"Yeah, I have one more stop to make," you said rising out of your seat, "Can you let me into the castle?"
"You know I can't do that, Y/N," Momo sighed before lifting the sleeping girl in her arms.
"Please. There's someone I need to say thank you to."
"Fine," the head of security relented. "Minjeong is crashing at my place anyway."
The three of you slowly made your way down the empty pebbled roads, the moonlight guiding the way, just like old times when you would leave training and head back to the dorms together. However, this time, there was a noticeable absence – Yeji.
"By the way, what's Princess Sana's favorite food?"
"What the fuck, Y/N? Be quiet or we're going to get caught."
"Please?"
"Fine. Apples I think. Anything apple flavored."
"Nice."
"Shut up."

Pushing open the familiar run-down wooden door, you found the space in front of the labyrinth deserted, as expected. You had a feeling the princess didn't want to be seen, especially after giving you that fake name.
Silently, you walked towards the metal bars and peered into the dark misty abyss again, hoping to catch a glimpse of the blonde girl. Instead, you saw only eerie shadows that seemed too haunting to be her. You definitely didn't want to come in contact with any of those beings.
Deciding to call it a night, you reached into your knapsack and pulled out a bottle of apple cider along with some small cakes bought at the market earlier that day. Placing them on the bench where you had sat together the day before, you wanted to thank the princess for her compass, even if you weren't sure if it was real or not.
Before you could make your way back, a familiar soft voice cut through the whooshing sounds emanating from the black clouds within the labyrinth.
"Hwang."
Turning, you found Luna sitting on top of the towering metal bars, swinging her barefoot legs casually.
"Hey."
She jumped down from the metal wall, landing gently with a thud.
"Couldn’t resist visiting me, huh?" She chuckled, eyeing the items on the bench. "Ooooo apple cider!"
She eagerly tore open the bottle and took a swig, resembling a little kid on Christmas morning. You couldn’t help but soften at her endearing behavior.
"It's just to thank you for giving me the compass."
"How do you know if I'm not fooling you?" She turned to look at you, a piece of cake still in her mouth.
"I don't," you said honestly, "but I'm willing to take that risk."
"For an assassin, you're oddly trusting," Luna mused, before splitting one of the cakes and passing it to you.
"How did you-"
"I hear your name once in a while in the labyrinth, Hwang." Luna giggled at your bewilderment, before lowering her voice as if she was an announcer. "The greatest assassin of the century, Hwang Y/N, the NightWalker. Some of the competitors talked about you, 'What would the NightWalker do in this situation?', 'Oh no, I'm cornered, if only I could walk on water like the NightWalker.'"
Your face flushed with embarrassment as she teased you, her laughter echoing through the empty space.
"Shut up," you nudged her with your shoulder.
She no longer felt like a monster; she felt like the cheerful princess people always talked about in their stories.
Luna put her fingers to her mouth, trying to stifle her giggles.
"Besides, it's a win-win situation if I get the stone," you shrugged, biting into the cake, the sweet-savory invading your taste buds.
"How so?"
"You're Princess Sana, aren't you?" You laughed at her surprised expression. "It says on the compass. If I win, I promise you'll be able to see the sunlight whenever you want. I have no interest in locking you by my side."
Instantly, the carefree girl in front of you shifted to the defensive half-human being. Sana's eyes glowed red once again, and you felt your body constrict, as if a rope was squeezing you tightly. She was looking for any lies behind your eyes. She found none.
"Sorry," she muttered, releasing you from her stare. You simply waved her off.
"I can't see the sunrise either way. I'm bound to the stone," she murmured softly, her delicate features cast in a faint glow from the moonlight.
As she spoke, her shoulders hunched slightly, a subtle gesture that spoke volumes of the weight she carried. Your heart couldn’t help but flutter in sympathy for the beautiful being before you, her words tinged with a hint of melancholy.
"The moonlight will be the only light I see for the rest of my life."
"I'll figure out a way. I always do," you promised.
Sana looked up to meet your eyes, her own remaining human and soft this time. In that moment, her gaze held a sense of vulnerability. You found yourself momentarily lost in her soft honey hues, the warmth of her gaze enveloping you. A faint blush tinged her cheeks as she met your stare, a silent acknowledgment of the connection between you.
"You're an odd one, NightWalker."
"As are you, Princess." you replied, unable to resist a teasing tone.
"Don't call me that," she muttered, trying to hide her smile, but her eyes betrayed her amusement.
You spent another hour or two talking to Sana, enjoying her company and the lighthearted banter that momentarily lifted the weight from your shoulders.
"It's almost sunrise. I have to go," Sana announced, stretching as she rose to her feet. "You should get some rest too, Y/N."
You nodded, following suit and standing up.
The princess grinned and extended her hand in a handshake. "Partners?"
"Partners," you agreed, shaking her hand firmly. Her touch sent a shiver down your spine, despite the warmth of the night.
Satisfied, with a hint of pink on her cheeks, Sana turned to make her way back towards the labyrinth, her figure gradually disappearing into the darkness.
"You better bring me some more of those cakes, Hwang," she called back before vanishing completely.
"Aye-aye, Princess," you replied, unable to resist one last teasing remark.
"Don't call me that!" she retorted with a laugh, her voice echoing faintly in the night.
