Tumblr media
내가 이런 것들까지 하게 될 줄은 몰랐지만... 내버려뒀다가 나중에 쓰레기가 될까 봐, 혹은 냉장고에 뭐가 든 게 너무 많아서 좀 빈 공간을 만들고 싶은 생각도 들고 해서 뭐라도 해 먹어보려고 안달이다. 그것도 할 때와 먹고 나서도 음식쓰레기가 최대한 안 나올 만한 걸로. 요즘은 정말 주부가 된 기분... 아예 전업주부로 집안일하고 남편이 벌어오는 돈으로 살림을 하거나 그런 것도 아니고. 그냥 혼자 살면서 나 먹고 싶은 거만 대충 해 먹으면 좋으련만. 매번 끼니 챙기는 것도 스트레스에, 저녁 때마다 설거지하느라... 그래도 나는 20대 때까지만 해도 '난 요리보다 설거지 체질'이라 생각했는데, 30대 들어서 조금씩 뭔가 해 먹기도 하고, 뉴욕에서 숙소에서 뭐 해 먹을 때 혼자 먹기 그래서 호스트랑 나눠먹은 적도 좀 있다 보니 (심지어 다들 맛있다고 했다! 진짜 맛있어서인지 그냥 미국인 특유의 과장된 칭찬인지는 알 수 없지만) 이제는 요리나 설거지나 비등하다. 물론 둘 다 썩 잘 하지는 않음 ㅋ 어쨌든 내가 원래 하던 일을 제외한 다른 일들은 신경써서 잘 하고 있다. ㅋㅋ 원래부터 내가 했고 해야 하는 일들은 대충... ;;;

youtube
Mets라는 팀을 다시 우습게 보게 되고 있다. Atlanta Braves에게 1:13으로 진 걸 보며 어떻게 저럴 수가 있지 싶었는데, C는 다음 경기는 좀 낫기를 바래야지 라며... '그래, 이왕 그런 거 다음에는 Mets가 13:1로 이기면 좋겠다' 했더니 이기는 게 중요하다며 2:1로만 이겨도 된단다. 근데 2:1, 1:0 이런 경기는 너무 지루하단 말이지... Mets의 충성스런 팬으로서 계속 고통받고 있는 C는 큰 기대를 하지도 않는다. ㅋㅋ 0:5로 진 걸 보니 2:1로라도 이기면 감사해야 하는구나... ;;
Tumblr media

y/n's biggest haters - bad idea!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Y/N (@/notyn), captain of hybe high's basketball team. stuffs her locker with all the snacks you can imagine. mention the name kim chaewon anywhere near her and you'll get most atrocious side eye of your life.
YUNJIN (@/huhjennifer), also part of the basketball team. steals y/n's snacks throughout the day, daily. loves snooping around in her teammates business.
HYEIN (@/leehyeinnnnn), SECOND tallest member on the team. loves teasing yujin about how she’s gonna outgrow her. honestly loves her unnies, and will actively voice it. just takes a little time to process things sometimes.. just a little! is also apparently everywhere ???
MINJI (@/kimminJI), plays basketball (and is surprisingly good for a rookie!) to get the attention of a certain vietnamese cheerleader... introverted, but loud around friends.
DANIELLE (@/modaniYELL), walking ray of sunshine, always there to cheer up her teammates even if they drive her a tad bit insane. somehow knows everyone??
YUJIN (@/aaaahnyujin), the actual tallest member on the team (tied with yunjin and y/n but shhh it keeps hyein happy). used to her teammates antics by now. someone get her some actual food, she’s too prideful to take any of y/n’s snacks.
KAZUHA (@/zuzuzuha), the most calm on the team. let her play with her legos, i beg, that’s the only way she recharges herself. just an all around team player that gets along with everyone (unless she doesn’t get any lego time.)

Hello! Not sure if you've ever heard of "cine kinki/quinqui", but it was a genre of Spanish cinema during the transition to democracy (late 70s/80s) that portrayed (usually) younger low-class and marginalised delinquents. Most of the actors weren't actually actors but rather real people who were living these experiences, many who were literally picked off the street and asked to film their daily life (including in some cases real life robberies lmao) - this means in some the cinematrophy isn't that great.
If you do happen to be interested, I 100% recommend Eloy de la Iglesia's movies (and not only with the kinki genre, but also El Diputado and The Week of the Killer, the latter made during Franco so the gay themes were heavily censored but still there). Ones I'd recommend as a "started pack" for cine kinki would be El Pico, Navajeros and La estanquera de Vallecas, all by Eloy.
Again, not everyone's cup of tea, but I think it's a fascinating genre.
I’d never heard of this genre/movement tysm it sounds really good!!! I’m always interested in that kind of raw filmmaking for a subject like this. Watchlisting all of these 🥰

Chance Courtney: Dunton Cine blog #1
Hi folks!
This summer I am one of the interns at Dunton Cine USA! (Formerly Joe Dunton Camera). Dunton is a camera and lens rental house/production studio specialized in studio car projection effects and camera car work. I chose to work with Dunton because of how unique this place is. When I say it is one of a kind, that is no hyperbole. The only place like Dunton Cine USA in the world is Dunton Cine UK. I am often awe-struck at some of the things I see on a daily basis such as rare spherical lenses customized to be anamorphic and 1 of 1 specialty lenses made for Stanley Kubrick.
My three learning objectives for this internship are:
Grow more familiar with the one of a kind specialty lenses
Learn the differences, pros and cons of each LED panel and rear projection for studio car work.
Proper pre-production as a producer.
I am super excited to show up here every day and for whatever is to come of the internship!

REVIEW: Molly Miller Trio “The Ballad of Hotspur”
REVIEW: Molly Miller Trio “The Ballad of Hotspur” @moodymill #theballadofhotspur @americanahighways #johnapice #newmusic2024 #americanahighways #americanamusic
Molly Miller Trio – The Ballad of Hotspur From its opener “Cine” I was transported back to my childhood years of the early 60s when instrumentals like The Chantay’s “Pipeline,” penetrated the charts atmospherically & was played daily on AM radio. It’s surprising to hear that the “instrumental” as a pop attraction is still alive in some musician’s minds & nimble fingers. It’s music that inspires…

Meet the Future: Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 12
Tumblr media
Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Weight
The Meteor Lake CPU in Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 12 reduced size and improved performance.
The Rolls Royce of productivity laptops, Lenovo’s X1 Carbon offers a lightweight design, an industry-leading keyboard, exceptional battery life, and all the necessary ports. The X1 Carbon Gen 12 has downsized and dropped 0.08 pounds while adding an Intel Core Ultra CPU, its first consumer chip with an NPU for AI.
Lenovo’s keyboard and Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 12 performance were fantastic in tests. Meteor Lake handled local AI admirably. Battery life was bad on 2880 x 1800 OLED panel demonstration unit. The $2,263 variant with 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD is pricey compared to the X1 Carbon (Gen 11). If pricing drops or you don’t mind paying for the latest and greatest components, the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 12 is great for portable productivity.
Lenovo ThinKpad X1 Carbon Touch Screen
To compete with ultrabooks, the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 12 has a boxy, raven-black body with vivid red logo, status light, and TrackPoint pointing stick. Some find this shape and colour iconic, while others think it conservative.
The Carbon has been Lenovo’s flagship ThinkPad for years, with a sleek design, tiny, lightweight frame, huge screen, and many ports.
Communications bar with webcam, IR sensor, and privacy shutter protrudes above screen in thin bezel. It opens the laptop from the lid.
Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 12 screen.
They examined Lenovo’s highest-end Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 12, which includes an OLED panel with 2880 x 1800 resolution, HDR, and 120 Hz (double the standard 60 Hz for non-gaming laptops).
As expected, this screen boasts bright, sharp images and great viewing angles, although productivity users may not need its features.
Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Upgrade RAM
Like other ThinkPad X1 Carbons, the Gen 12 can only upgrade its M.2 2280 SSD.
RAM is soldered to the motherboard and the Wi-Fi card is buried.
The computer’s bottom panel came off easily removed four captive Philip’s head screws.
Two screws secure a metal heat shield to an SSD.
Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Battery
The 1920 x 1200 monitor and 15-watt Intel Core i7 U series processor from last year’s 13-hour-45-minute edition were present.
Each model needs 57 WHr batteries.
Buy the 1920 x 1200 laptop for durability.
Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 12 heat
Lenovo used the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 12 daily without heating it. Lenovo laptop should never get too hot on your lap.
The middle of the keyboard reached 114.5 degrees Fahrenheit and the middle bottom 118.5 degrees during 15-minute Cine bench R23 stress test. Touchpad stayed cool at 86.5°F.
Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 12 Software and Warranty
Like other ThinkPads, the X1 Carbon has Commercial Vantage. The programme upgrades drivers and BIOS and customises speaker, microphone, and camera settings. This programme also lets you set the F12 key, whether the computer turns on when you open the lid, and if the USB port stays on for charging when the machine is off.
Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Specs
The ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 12 has been available in restricted configurations at premium prices since December. They expect Gen 12 options to increase and costs to decrease as the company sells more prior-gen machines and increases manufacturing. The US offers few, pricey options.
The leading U.S. laptop seller, Lenovo.com, offers six options from $2,263 to $3,047.
They all have 1920 x 1200 touch or non-touch displays, not evaluation configuration’s 2880 x 1800 OLED.
Lenovo 2880 x 1800 screen, Core Ultra 7 155U CPU, 32GB RAM, and 1TB SSD configuration cost $2,800 when it was on sale a few months ago.
They recommend the 1920 x 1200 panel for power efficiency and battery life.
The cheapest model is a Core Ultra 5 125U CPU, 16GB RAM, and 512GB SSD for $2,263.
Lenovo recommended $3,039.20 model has a Core Ultra 7 165U CPU, 1920 x 1200 touch screen, 32GB RAM, and 1TB.
Conclusion
Light and sturdy, the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 12 has industry-leading typing and navigation, a great webcam, and many ports. From video conferencing backdrop blurring to image production and chatbotting, the Intel Core Ultra “Meteor Lake” processor will process AI locally.
The processor’s increased TDP (28 watts, 20 watts as configured) or the 120 Hz OLED display reduce battery life in tests on the X1 Carbon Gen 12.
Current X1 Carbon Gen 12 prices are excessively much for what you receive. After a few months, new ThinkPad costs drop, but you can’t purchase a base machine with inferior features for under $2,200 or my specs for under $3,000.
The ThinkPad X1 Carbon (Gen 11) from last year is still available in more configurations, starting at $1,439 and with 32GB of RAM for $1,710. Although less powerful and a few tenths of an inch larger, the Gen 11 device offers much of the current model’s benefits at a reduced cost.
The ThinkPad is durable and has a fantastic typing experience, while the Asus Zenbook OLED 14 and HP Spectre x360 have longer battery life, cost hundreds or $1,000 less, and have Core Ultra CPUs

🇫🇷 Café Gaudi Avril 2024. Jour 6. Effrayé.
Définition : qui éprouve une grande peur. 😱
🦊
◽◽◽
🇬🇧 Café Gaudi April 2024. Day 6. Scared.
Definition: who experiences great fear. 😱
One of my scariest early memories is the brown bear in the 1981 Disney's animated movie The Fox and The Hound.
🐻 I was 4 years old when I saw at the theatre. My mother assured me that I hadn't seen much of a feature film because I had spent much of the screening running around the aisles with my two brothers playing hide and seek.
🦊
From my point of view, I especially remember that this bear seemed gigantic to me, seen from the front row, so close to the screen. I think it was more out of fear than boredom that I left my seat and ran to the back of the room, pretending to chase my brothers in order to keep up appearances under a mask of disinterest.
🐶
Even as a child, I understood that it was better to pretend to feel the opposite of what you really felt. Was it to appear braver and show that I could act like a big girl and not like a baby?
👶🏻
Why not just be able to enjoy your childhood? Where does this injunction to grow as quickly as possible come from? No doubt we imagine that we can do whatever we want as adults because they are the ones who impose rules on us for every aspect of our daily life?
🙄
What a disillusionment when we reach adulthood and in the end, there are always more rules to follow, when nothing really belongs to us, and when time flies by, as if to make fun of us, so eager to grow up but scared of growing old.

Definición: quien experimenta un gran miedo. 😱

Recently, I had the pleasure of conducting one of the initial tests of the groundbreaking SIRUI Sniper lens, marking its debut in Malaysia. As a new user and enthusiast of SIRUI lenses, it is my esteemed honor to share my expert opinions on the capabilities of this exceptional lens. In this post, I aim to showcase some of the sample photos captured during my extensive street photography and portrait shooting trials with the SIRUI Sniper lens. Having owned and extensively used this lens, I can unequivocally state that it not only met but exceeded my expectations, leaving an indelible impression on me. A standout feature of this remarkable lens is its lightweight and compact design, making it an ideal companion for travelers and photographers seeking to effortlessly capture stunning street scenes. Whether navigating urban landscapes, embarking on daily adventures, or immortalizing memorable moments on the streets, the SIRUI Sniper lens proves to be a versatile and advantageous tool. The lens's lightweight build ensures that the burden of weight and bulk is alleviated, adding to its myriad of advantages.
SIRUI Sniper 23mm For Street Photography, Anyone?
Tumblr media
SIRUI Sniper 23mm f1.2 The SIRUI Sniper 23mm lens on various occasions might be a tad too wide for creative street photography, but it remains nevertheless a highly proficient tool capable of capturing decisive moments, particularly when one closes the distance between oneself and the subject. I have recently realized that there is a remarkable connection between the SIRUI Sniper autofocus lens and the SIRUI Nightwalker lens, one of the manual focus SIRUI cine lenses that is specifically designed for videography and filmmaking. Fascinated by this connection, I felt compelled to conduct a little experiment of my own and ventured into the bustling streets to capture some cinematic street photos using the SIRUI Sniper autofocus lens. As a photographer, I have been experimenting with different techniques and environments to enhance the aesthetic appeal of my photographs. Recently, I have been focusing on shooting short B-rolls and finding the perfect lighting for night photography when shooting cinematic neon portraits with the SIRUI Sniper 23mm f1,2. To immerse myself in a unique atmosphere, I have been exploring the city and looking for spots that resemble the settings of iconic Hong Kong movie scenes. By incorporating my new Neon Obscura recipe & Cira 800 with my new SIRUI Sniper 23mm f1.2, my photos turn out to be cinematic and impressive, compared to the previous projects shot with the Fujinon XF35mm f2. I am truly amazed by the results that this new approach has brought to my work. It's incredible how experimenting can lead to new possibilities and inspire us to keep exploring and pushing our artistic boundaries.
Testing With FX Filters
Recently, I decided to step out of my comfort zone and invest in some FX lens filters. These filters have been gaining popularity in the world of photography and music video production, and I was eager to test them out for myself. There are many different types of FX lens filters available, each with their own unique effects. Some are designed to create blurriness and give images a sense of movement, while others are perfect for creating kaleidoscope or starlight effects, which are commonly used in music videos and creative projects. Since these filters were new to me, I was excited to experiment with them and see what kind of creative possibilities they would unlock. And I have to say, I was not disappointed! The filters helped me to explore new techniques and perspectives that I otherwise may not have considered, and I am looking forward to continuing to use them in my future shoots.
Conclusion
In today's world, there is a lot of emphasis on having sharp images and using sharp lenses to capture every detail. However, when it comes to being creative, it is important to remember that sometimes the most impactful images are not the sharpest ones. Creativity is about pushing boundaries and taking risks, and sometimes this means stepping away from the norm. It requires an open mind and a willingness to experiment with new techniques and ideas. While sharpness can certainly enhance an image's impact, it is not the be-all and end-all of photography. Taking risks and deviating from the norm can lead to truly unique and breathtaking results. So don't be afraid to think outside the box and let your creativity shine through in your photography. The SIRUI Sniper 23mm is an exceptional fast lens for capturing creative and stunning shots, whether you're shooting videos or photos. With its unique focal length, this lens provides a softer look to your images, which can add a dreamy and ethereal quality to your shots. Despite the slight softness that was previously mentioned in the SIRUI Sniper lens review, you'll find yourself less worried about getting every little detail sharp when using this lens, as it provides an artistic and surreal effect to your work. This feature makes it an excellent choice for photographers and videographers looking to push the boundaries of creativity and add a touch of magic to their projects.
