it’s crazy that the next massive dnp event/anniversary we celebrate is going to be a random date that already exists. like imagine next year we’re like omg august 23rd! happy one year since [whatever bullshit they do]

anyway i just hope they consider the pre existing phan calendar and plan accordingly. we don’t need another june or october-december anniversary but may??august?? perhaps a september? would be nice

it's interesting how they approached this stream bc while any dan and phil live has to include some out of pocket innuendos and tangents to nowhere it's like they were doing it all times 100 and on double speed in this, very like their stage personas I would say - giving themselves less room for genuine interaction almost. like the most we got was phil cracking himself up over telling dan to "stretch it" and dan's shutting down face (which, hilarious, best part of the stream for me) but apart from that they - dan especially - were all go go go, no pauses, super high energy, quick deadpan delivery and keep it moving kind of thing. very much a fulfilling the brief kind of vibe imo. very different from their livestreams with just their own audience, and that does make sense

we always joke about how dan struggles when they’re apart but phil is a silent sufferer 😔 what can i say he needs his hype man

no because as dramatic and loud as dan is about it i do get the sense that he copes better on his own than phil does. ofc there's a lot on nuance to this, like dan seems to struggle more mentally if left alone but if you like, locked them both in separate rooms on their own, i think dan would have a much better time than phil. we should test this

Okay about the "you're the wife" comment - I actually doubt that the builders perceived them as a couple and stereotyped Phil as the "wife" (at least I hope not?). I think Dan thought that because he's so used to everyone assuming they're a couple but I'm pretty sure it was more like:

Dan called the builders -> new guy who doesn't know who they are shows up and sees Phil -> builder doesn't know Phil and assumes this other guy is one of Dan's buddies and not his partner who also owns the house -> the builder asks for Dan because Dan's the one who hired him over in the first place

So yeah in my mind the builders (assuming it's a new guy and not someone who's been over before) saw a Straight Bro HangOut at the MojoDojoCasaPhouse situation at first glance but dnp are comfortable enough by now being perceived as a gay couple + "Phil is a delicate princess who can't lift a potted plant" joke that they figured it was obvious they were together and therefore made decisions together as DanAndPhil. While the builders were like, "i'm supposed to talk to some guy named Dan about the project nobody told me who this other guy in the house was"

Like 100% it didn't even cross this guy's mind that a gay couple lived there until he was like half an hour into fixing a mysterious ceiling hole or whatever the fuck is going on in that place
