The carpet is squishy beneath my feet. The music hitting every note and lighting us on fire like it always does. The whiskey warmed up my face and made me feel so cozy.

“Come here!” I cry, throwing my head back as my body sways to the music.

He comes over to me and I fold myself into him. The subtle giggle he lets out lets me know that he’s having a good time. He knows this is our favorite thing to do together. After a long night out with friends all we ever want at the end of the night is each other. The way his hands know my body like his favorite city on a map. His lips just below my ear, whispering and humming the song that's playing in the living room. The dim light gleaming from the kitchen plays as our disco ball. I never felt more in love with him or with the moment. He was my favorite place to be, the arms and heart I called home. The way I clung to him when all I wanna do is dance.

“Hey, baby,” he whispers, “I love-”

“I love you,” I smile, thinking I beat him to it.

“I love this whiskey” he mocks.

I smack him on the shoulder as we continue to sway. Refills of whiskey  and shuffling the music to find the perfect song to kiss to. I’m pulling him into the room but his magnetic field pulls me into the kitchen where we spin together. Close and personal because the kitchen is so small.

It’s always Drake or LANY that makes us dance, there’s no in between. They’re the same artists that make us get carried away to the bedroom as well. My favorite part is when we’re done soaking each other in, we lay there and sing the song as loud and horrible as we can. My favorite person. The only person that allows me to be this vulnerable. I love how easy it is to tell you things. The way your lips find mine when my thoughts become too much. The way you nod and make sure I know that you’re listening and quiet because you don’t want to interrupt me. I love those eyes. No matter what they saw, you always looked at me like the rarest gem in the world. The intense gaze that always makes me blush. Only you could make me blush with that stare.
