I need to stress that I am not shading anybody here, but until I go peeking in the tags on Tumblr I always forget that Krennic is Sexy Evil™ to a bunch of people. Like truly I wish you all the best and I am not impugning your taste, Mendelsohn is an objectively handsome man and also a very compelling screen presence, intellectually I can see and understand these things.

However.

I do have to say that my personal impulse to go peeking in Krennic's tag is inextricably intertwined with his absolute swaglessness. I have eyes to see but I'm afraid none of those signals are getting through, because the brain is too preoccupied with how a guy can rock a cape whilst radiating such off-the-charts loser energy. He's giving reasonably smart guy who only uses his brain to cheat on the test. He's giving reasonably handsome guy who talks about himself for the entire date. He has a very particular je ne sais quoi which takes the form of trading razor-edged barbs with Mon Mothma whilst also managing to channel someone's worst conservative uncle being belligerently wrong after two (2) beers. He spends the entirety of R1 alternately embodying the galaxy's most wretched-yet-terrifying stalker ex, and a man having a pissing contest with his coworker over the use of the office printer AND LOSING. It's like Mendelsohn took all his stage presence and multiplied it by -1. Negative charisma. It fascinates me I wanna put him under a microscope like a bug.

Anyway like I said no shade I'm just. Trying to capture the hilarious experience of going into the tags like I wonder who else is rotating this PATHETIC LOSER in their brains-- o right that's Ben Mendelsohn

Finally had the chance to listen to the new saga a couple of times more and I ended up enjoying it a lot more. I was initially conflicted after watching the livestream but it ended up growing on me.

The windbag jetpack and the anime boss battle is a bit too out there for me but I respect Jorge for being loyal to his vision and what he wanted to do.

But in my mind, Ody just used a bit of wind to get high and opened the bag fully to strike Poseidon with the full force of the storm. Poseidon was completely caught off guard and thats why he dropped his trident

And I know some people have mixed feelings about it but I love the torture, it makes Poseidon face the monster he helped create, bringing back Scylla to mind since both are monsters Poseidon leaves/will leave alone and its so tragic for Odysseus to go "Look at what I have become" Poor guy is broken but is satisfying to see him get back to at least one of his tormentors.

It's all gone! Her childhood innocence, the city she grew up in, all the people... And you can't convince me that she doesn't have moments when she misses her past life terribly.

I have so many headcanons about Atlantis, about Natla's life, I have Atlantean OCs and their numbers still sometimes grow. I just have so many feels about this whole damn thing! (And yes I already have some fanfics but I should write more to show off more of my headcanons... ah well, eventually.)

can i just say how nice it is to finally find someone else who ADORES Jason Todd? like, the continuous annoyance i have trying to find people who don't just dismiss him as some kind of bad boy edgelord is suffocating at times.

Honestly I think that's the lot with a lot of comics characters but especially Batfam, they get either misinterpreted in the most mean-spirited ways possible or incredibly flanderized (I have complained about how fanon Tim Drake is just literally not Tim Drake at all before but it remains vexing) and it makes finding people who, like, actually enjoy the characters kinda difficult sometimes.

But I think with Jason a lot of it is born from the fact that, as I've mentioned before, the writers did not know what to do with him and still don't really know what to do with him, and a lot of people just don't really read the stuff that's core to his character. They don't read his Robin run from the 80s (both pre and post Crisis), they haven't read A Death in the Family, they haven't read the Under the Red Hood arc (or Lost Days I GUESS even tho it has stuff that pisses me off), and those stories are key to understanding who Jason is as a person and thus, understanding his character and being able to interpret him in a way that makes sense, whether in conversation or transformative works. Not to mention, again, my nemesis modern DC has been treating him like SHIT (tho I think the latest issue of Boy Wonder that came out has some good stuff in terms of Jason characterization and my personal favorite thing: "people think Jason is Bruce's favorite and is over-prioritized by him even if Jason himself doesn't see that at all and they get really pissy about it".

But yes, Jason Todd is pooky, he's baby bear, he's the light of my life and he's never done a single thing wrong and if you're gonna bring up any of the stuff he did wrong to rebut me, he wasn't wrong for any of that he's been correct and justified for everything in his entire life forever.

There's this new trend happening in the former bird app where people show how long it'd take for a character to apologize by drawing the head and a line connecting to an apology at the end. And honestly, I'm not good at keeping up with trends but this one is fairly easy to do so!

Good timing too cuz I've been thinking bout the scenario of Alec and Ray arguing so I took this chance to do my own spin on the trend!

Also this is what Ray said for easy reading (and for better viewing cuz it's pretty hard to do bold and italic on a single word in ibis):
