S3 Daniel is basically going to be loustat's infant baby. Anytime loustat get alone time, the baby starts screaming in Louis's head for attention & Lestat starts crying alone in the coffin as Louis leaves him to tend to the kid. He's going to drag Armand back by the ears to get his alone time with Louis.
My (270m) ex-husband (145m) has a new baby (71m) that wont let us have sex. AITA for bringing back our (me, my ex husband and his baby) shared ex (514m) so i can have sex with my ex-husband?

My 2 Cents on Sinners - 10/10 (No Spoilers)
Ok, just got back from seeing Sinners today, and omg I wanna watch it all over again--I need the OST immediately.
Heads Up: there is a HUGE post-credits scene, which is hilarious, since in my cinema so many people got up and left during the credits before seeing one of the best scenes in the dang film. 🤣 And that's another thing--
Have PATIENCE with this movie. This is NOT your run of the mill braindead vampire slasher flick. And this isn't Nosferatu either (which I gave an 8/10), with the vampire as a constant presence from start to finish. Dare I say Sinners is SLOW to "start," but I hate that--Sinners is less about vampires, and more about the special relationship African Americans Down South have with MUSIC: specifically the Blues.
Tumblr media
This movie takes its time, as the musician Samuel Moore recounts what happened to him when the Smokestack Twins came home. You follow the three men as the Twins rebuild their community connections, catching up on everything they've missed since they've been gone. Samuel is arguably THE protagonist, although the Twins are technically the MCs. I wouldn't say Sinners is a Musical--it's more like a bioflick about a musician: his love of music, and how special & powerful his music was, that it changed him and quite literally everyone around him. 👀
Tumblr media
THEN you get the vampires 1/3rd of the way into the movie. And THEN you get all the action halfway or maybe 2/3rds of the way in. I saw some folk say they were bored, but they just had the wrong expectations! 🤷 This is a horror film, yes, but it's also historical fiction, using vampires as an allegory for so many societal issues, from religion & morality, to racial tensions & communal/kinship bonds. It's like Ryan Coogler heard the Bipoc fandom from AMC's Interview with the Vampire loud & clear, and crafted this absolute masterpiece; I was thinking about the Smokestack Twins and the DPDL Brothers the entire time. (I'd LOVE to hear Jacob Anderson's opinions about Sinners, as an IRL musician who plays a Black vampire during Jim Crow.)
Tumblr media
But I'm not done talking about the freaking MUSIC, jfc. 😭🎶 The MIXING--not just of the sound mixing for the songs, but of the GENRES too. 🤯 Y'all who've seen the movie already know EXACTLY what I'm talking about--they weren't kidding!
"There are legends of people with the gift of making music so true, it can conjure spirits from the past…and the future. This gift can bring fame and fortune. But it also can pierce the veil between life and death."
Tumblr media
(IWTV fans are running around creaming themselves over Lestat being a rockstar in S3--I DARE AMC to make a song HALF as good as the songs Samuel & Pearline sang in Sinners. HOLY GOD. Daniel Hart, take effing notes--the bar has just been set! 😤)
But TBF it's not just music though--even the sound design & audio in Sinners is crazy good--they play so many tricks with echoes/reverberations & drums & foot stomping & strings & humming--it's an eerie & emotionally intense auditory rollercoaster that got my heart thumping like mad--you have to experience it for yourself.
What I also love is how unapologetically BLACK Sinners is. I was rolling at how many white people were in my cinema SILENT at the end of the film, while the Black people were all clapping, like laaaaawd, this movie is NOT here to hold white folks' hand, or paint white folk in a good light. 😅 In Black Horror, the white man IS the white devil, eff your sob sob story! It doesn't matter what's going on amongst us, what we're up to that's right or wrong--what matters is the inherent FEAR/WARINESS/MISTRUST of white people that Black people felt (STILL feel, LBR), esp. during Jim Crow, and esp. Down South, with the Ku Klux Klan running amok, ready to lynch Black folk for so much as existing. And Remmick's gaslighting & manipulation & sweet-talking~~~! OOOOO it was so dang good, but I'll save that for my Spoilers post.
But yeah, I really don't know what else I can say without spoiling the mess outta this movie, so I'll cut myself off here. All I have to say here is that Sinners is A SENSORY DELIGHT. I loved every bit of it, and I like this WAY more than Black Panther 1 & 2 combined.
My ONLY complaint is more of a nitpick: I didn't like how the blood looked. It was too pale & watery IMO, I didn't like the color/consistency, which is irksome in a VAMPIRE movie--you really gotta get the blood just right, esp. since we see so much of it. But other than that, I literally have zero complaints or gripes; this was a wonderful experience from start to finish.

It's so funny, I spent decades furious about Daniel's fate in the vampire chronicles, just so mad that Anne threw away one of her most compelling relationships to focus on Lestat fucking around.
It does have a hilarious end though, Daniel breaking up with Marius, the man who kept him alive through his long bout of magical vampire psychosis and getting back with Armand, the love of his life and the man who abandoned him the moment he became higher needs? Amazing, outstanding, a fucking nightmare.
It's so funny to me, Daniel was with Marius far longer than he was with Armand, but he bounced back to Armand so easily.
Armand spent years erotically psychologically torturing Daniel and he was like whoops got my mind back, gonna put myself back into the sexual torment nexus, cheers Big M for all the good times.
There's no way they do Armand abandoning Daniel to Marius in the tv show, I just can't see that. It doesn't really make sense.
There is room for them to bring up Anne's potential idea where Daniel broke up with Armand and starts dating Khayman.
God, even thinking about that is hysterical. Anne, why would that possibly happen. Why Khayman. Of all the new vampires you introduced in queen of the damned, why would it be the third vampire to ever exist
I'm just fascinated thinking about how s3 is going to progress. Are we gonna start bringing in more qotd stuff?

The s3 idea I've had this week is Daniel gripping is pen as Lestat goes on and on about Armand and being like "I didn't realize how /involved/ he was". Either for emotionally tormenting Daniel (not wanting to think about his erstwhile maker day in/day out)(Armand wrapped up the lesmand in like half an hour or whatever) or that it's triggering memories. The bitchy levels, the emotional torment, Assad on our screens, all delightful.
YESSSSS. and i have to believe they will give us something like this due to the mere fact alone that the "i'm guessing you haven't heard from my maker?" is so similar narratively and as of yet basically the only real devil's minion we have (LMAO). i mean lestat is going to tell daniel all of this because he's pissed that armand did it in 30 minutes and literally refused to mention gabrielle but i also like the idea that he's doing it to torture daniel by bringing up his maker. daniel will, of course, be aptly tortured by this. armand armand armand armand armand until it's pounding in his brain like a hammer. so to speak. i also like the idea that nobody really knows about daniel and armand's past and so lestat is triggering memories left and right which he doesn't know or gaf about, and daniel has that old man kicked puppy look on his face as he's haunted by thoughts of armand blowing his back out 50 years ago

An insane subplot in S3 where Daniel is pretending to be dying to the public but he gets caught by the paparazzi fighting WWE style and then promptly making out with Armand in a back alley somewhere, and this goes viral. This brings Daniel's daughters back into his life because they wanna know what the FUCK is even going on and why their dying father with Parkinson's is throwing the last known man seen with Andrew Tate before he mysteriously went missing presumed dead against a wall and making out with him. Armand is Lestat's #1 listener on Spotify. Etc

I thought it was really interesting that Ben Daniels said Santiago was in love with Armand. And we were told they'd slept together at some point. If they had a deeper and more complex bond than the story showed, I can absolutely see why Armand would downplay it during the interview, but it'd be a really interesting thing to touch on later (and a way to bring Ben back for a cameo!) and it would help to flesh out Armand's motives around that time. Not that I'd expect to see it in s3, though I am hoping we'll get some kind of account of things from Lestat's POV.
Maybe! I'd certainly love it if Ben Daniels would be back for a flashback^^
But yeah, there were hints at "more", aplenty. With Santiago's maker, too. And Santiago getting a lot of lenience for (literally) fucking around.
So yeah. It's... interesting^^.

After reading Ungodly Hour I think I’ll be pretty disappointed if Louis isn’t part of the interview and doesn’t get to hear a more intimate recollection of Lestat’s story than what he offers the public, haha. I think they can vary the texture of the interview by having Louis and Lestat share some things with each other and not in the documentary format with Daniel. I don’t see Armand as part of the tour? I don’t think Loustat will even think of repairing their relationship with Armand until the show reaches QOTD. Even in modern timeline TVL Lestat was like ‘Oh poor Armand, you told me Louis was dead so go bury yourself.’ They aren’t friends when Lestat is a rockstar in TVL and I don’t think they will be in the show.
(x)
Oh! You're very sweet, anon, haha, thank you. Yeah! I like the idea of Louis being a part of the interview too (clearly, haha), but it'll be interesting to see how they go about it. I could see the writers not wanting to repeat that dynamic with Louis and Armand, but I feel like that maybe wouldn't be too much of a problem now that Louis and Daniel are friends? Like there wouldn't be the same level of hostility and double-handedness from the person outside of the interview as there was when Armand was the third wheel. It could be kind of interesting too in the sense that Armand clearly felt he knew all the intimate details of Louis' life when we know that Louis' still in the dark about plenty with Lestat's.
I don't see Armand as being a part of the tour really either, and I actually wouldn't be surprised if the show shuffled him a bit into Lestat's role in s1 and s2 where he's mostly being filtered through other characters? There's some pretty meaty stuff for Armand in the TVL Paris flashbacks, so there's a lot there for the show to work with and for Assad to do, and if you pair that with some of Daniel and Louis' (and maybe even Sam's) memories too, they could actually keep modern day Armand out of the picture for a significant chunk of the season, maybe only bringing him back in the s3 finale like they did with Lestat in s2.
I agree that it'll take a while before Louis or Lestat are particularly friendly with Armand again, and that it'll likely be in the QOTD season that that shifts. I do kind of think a bit of it is going to hinge on how the show chooses to depict / handle Marius too? It'll definitely be interesting to see what they do with all those dynamics actually.

I saw one of your posts about " I don't agree Louis is in Merrick state & suicidal " . I think 90% of the fandom believes that he is . So I'm interested to know why you don't think so ? Do you have any more spoilers?
Well I'm not certain either it's just a feeling & vibe I have .😅
Although after Jacob's tv insider interview where he said " he never thought Louis would be that fucked up at the end " I think the possibility of Merrick is higher as others speculated .
BUT the show would have to change a lot of things about the main characters storylines compared to the books .
1. After Lestat brings back Louis to life after he committed suicide Louis stayed shortly with Lestat & left him feeling resentment towards him & his new powers & went to live with Armand . But AMC Louis already is living with Armand so if Lestat brings Louis back again & all those resentments reach Louis again & Louis goes back to Armand again then I honestly would feel disappointed . Because what about Armand & Daniel ? What about Louis & Lestat ? UNLESS they change this completely & make Louis love & fully hooked on Lestat even though he saves him & makes him a vampire again . Which isn't unlikely because show Louis doesn't seem to hate his powers .
2. Lestat & Louis separated at the end of Merrick . And Lestat went on his other adventures . S3 has to be about Lestat talking about TVL & other stuff . Lestat has to be present in S3 . So if S2 really ends up like Merrick they would need to change this stuff & make Lestat stay & make Louis not leave to go with Armand . Louis has to hear Lestat's side of the story first , if he doesn't fully know yet . And that needs the writers to change Louis's feelings about being made & brought back by Lestat again .
3 . We still aren't sure where Lestat is right now . Is he in Dubai ? And Louis & Armand are watching over him ? ( I don't think so ) Because if he knew he wouldn't have acted so calm & active in a relationship with Armand he would look uncomfortable & regretful in my opinion UNLESS Armand is making Louis feel certain ways to not get overwhelmed with feelings suddenly & Armand is controlling his feelings bursting out .

in light of discourse of potential drag in s3 here's the iwtv guys' relationship to drag/crossdressing
Lestat: He does it. We've already seen him do it. He thinks it's fun :). his taste level and makeup skills are...not all the way there. I imagine his drag aesthetic without Louis' supervision is either 5yo girl at a princess tea party or hot mall slut. Regardless, he's having fun that doesn't involve inhuman violence so good for him ig. Knows very little about modern drag culture apart from what his gay tour interns tell him and the occasional bar visit. He is blocked by several drag race queens bc he keeps sliding into their dms with critiques and/or flirtations based on whatever episode he happened to catch a glimpse of.
Louis: Knows the most about contemporary drag culture by far out of anyone on the cast. Was on the ground floor observing the ballroom scene develop. Thinks rupaul's drag race ruined real drag culture (but has seen every episode). Is absolutely vicious in his criticisms of the queens and def ate some baby queens back in the day. Internally thinks he would slay drag race but whenever someone suggests he actually do drag he always comes up with some excuse like 'I can't shave bc I'm a vampire' or 'I can't find a drag mother I'll eat them'. In reality he is just afraid of getting similar criticisms and would like to keep his ego intact. If he were to do drag though his aesthetic would be very sleek and sophisticated a lot of 80s powersuits/powerdresses (executive realness is his fav category), slinky jewel tone gowns, big hats, fur coats, some tasteful bdsm elements. While his style is fairly modern I imagine he's quite old-fashioned about certain elements of drag like: NO body hair! NO boy nipples! FEMALE ILLUSION ONLY! I think he'd get really into the interiority of his drag persona as well...Lestat is like "Je suis Lisette :) it is like my name but I'm a girl :)" Louis on the other hand is looking in the mirror face beat like.. "who is Celine Emerald VanMichaels DuPree? does she dream? what does she dream of? what am I trying to embody when I become her?" tdlr: he is very annoying.
Armand: Doesn't really have much interest in drag tbh sure he'll drink a glass of AB on drag race nights with loustat and bitch about fabric with the best of them but it's not something he'd really do on his own. If he felt he had to crossdress for whatever reason he'd do it but wouldn't feel that strongly about it positively or negatively. I imagine some elements of women's clothing would bring him back to the renaissance since men were very much gowned-up back then which could be good or bad depending on the day he's having. I imagine his past painting skills would transfer so he'd be weirdly very good at drag makeup like he and Lestat would follow the same tutorial on youtube and Armand would come out looking like Plastique Tiara while Lestat looks crazy. He wore eyeliner casually in Paris and I could see him having fun with eye makeup under certain circumstances. However, I don't think the idea of having a drag persona would appeal to him bc 1. repressed femininity and enforced masculinity wasn't really a significant part of his human life unlike loustat and 2. a performance is only worth it for Armand if someone actually fully believes it otherwise it's Just Acting and that's Lestat's thing not his. He loves typical drag queen camp movies though like Mommie Dearest, Showgirls, What Ever Happened to Baby Jane, etc. are some of his faves. Louis thinks those films are bad/weird (he's more of a Steel Magnolias queen) but Daniel and Lestat watch with him.
Daniel: He did drag/crossdressed for special occasions back when he was younger like halloween and pride events/protests. He'd do one of those stories where the reporter becomes part of the community they're writing about and he'd do drag for like a week just for the story ofc. He has a Frank n' Furter costume that he's owned since 1976 and worn to at least a decade's worth of Rocky Horror screenings. Also a playboy bunny look which he tries to claim he wore as some sort of feminist commentary but was really about showing off his twunk body to various substance users. He probably sees these past antics as him 'being secure in his masculinity' rather than expressing femininity which is.... kinda true but also not. He's a huge fan of John Waters and Divine. Like Louis he also believes that rpdr ruined drag culture but actually doesn't watch it except for clips of untucked fights (he would like dragula though). He thinks the most important thing for a drag queen to be is funny and shocking to straight people rather than to serve looks, in fact, he prefers queens who are a bit busted or purposely strange looking. This makes going to drag shows with him and Louis very entertaining because they are guaranteed to have exact opposite opinions and fight about it.

I have SO MICH to say to scream about iwtv that I actually will lose my momentum to do any of my remaining work for the semester. SO all I will say is that I was VERY HAPPY to see one of my favs Ben Daniel’s on the show truly put the ICK in Francis/ Santiago. I will be disparage that character to DUST. but I’m just a Ben girly. Anyway….. y’all are so lucky I don’t do fandom shit anymore. But Lestat apologists… EVERYTHING U TOUCH GON TURN TO ASH HOE! Armand… u sad as bitch… u try hard blubber fish. Assad truly my beautiful brown prince roses for u for bringing complicated yet bitch ass pussy footing neurotic anxiety ridden. cowardice back to the screen.
LOUIS DE POINTE DU LAC. The way I wanted to slap this character out of existence… the way the chancla was FORMING IN MY HAND AT THE END OF rp. 8. And no I haven’t read the books so let me get this off my chest. to give him some room I GET that this possibly a scene of closure that he needed to be is truly done with Lestat. I get having moments of emotional closure with a person you loved despite their abuse. I can put my nuance hat on. And I GET IT, trying to be there for an ex at their lowest point even if it’s not a sound choice, I GET IT.
But YOU KNOW THE TRUTH. And that still shouldn’t change the fact that YOU GIVING LESTAT AN INCH IS GIVING HIM 8 THOUSAND MILES. . And s3 will probably clear up this scene and we’re getting Lestat pov. But it can’t be denied that initial feeing of that end scene MEANS U LEARNED NOTHING AT ALL. If u get back with this white devil.
I literally don’t give a fuck if Louis recollection is skewed, that literally is what happens when you spend a life with a toxic abusive controlling narcissistic partner. And u happen to be co-dependent. Like it makes sense that Louis memories aren’t all the way there, even when it makes him look favourable. Outside the supernatural aspect that is a response the brain does when recollecting trauma.
Anyway, I feel this way because literally everything Claudia has told him has plead with him meant NOTHING. And yeah yeah I know there is that angle of analysis that, that is the point and how Louis himself is toxic.
But some of y’all act as if it makes it okay ! And I swear in s3 if I hear/see shit about mutual abuse I will literally duplex u into a volcano.
My baby Claudia. Saying that you deserved more is an understatement and seemingly the wrong statement. You didn’t just deserve more u deserved everything. I made peace when it came to me analytically and allegorically that u are literally the inner child which we all stifle that we all push away. Claudia was truly the agony of unfulfilled potential. And she deserved to be loved. And she was loved and that is all I can ask for.
Man I was in SHAMBLES.
Anyway lol can’t wait for s3,

A few thoughts about last night's episode.
When and why did Louis bring back Dreamstat? (I doubt the answer will come in the next episode, but I do hope the show explore the reappearance of him)
How did Louis find out that Claudia hated him? They clearly have the diaries, so Louis saved them from the fire. Did he decide to read them afterwards? Would Armand have allowed him to read them, knowing Claudia would have penned down his threat to her?
Did Armand's experiment with Claudia happen in the show universe? I always feel like even in the books it was a a little bit of retcon that doesn't really fit the narrative of IWTV and TVL. If she was so butchered she had to be killed, surely Louis and Lestat would have noticed.... Are they skipping this part and perhaps using the storyline for a different character? Maybe Nicolas gets the frankenstein treatment instead?
What did Santiago do to Madeline? I really hope the show gives us a better look at this.
Will we see the trial again in S3 but this time from Lestat's POV? And do we get to hear Claudia's words to Madeline then?
Armand probably allowed Daniel to interview Louis because he wants out, the pattern seems to fit. So, what event in the next episode will have Louis leave him? A new confession, a true memory coming out?
When does Armand find out he can walk in the sun? I've seen people already use the excuse 'he can walk in the sun' to explain Armand is super powerful, but I don't think Armand is aware of that in Paris yet. So when does he learn? And if Armand tried to kill himself as well, is Louis aware of that. Are they both on suicide watch for each other? Does Louis want out too, but he fears for Armand so he brought back Daniel? Where Armand will tell Louis were Lestat is?

AMC, is this Talamas.ca website CANON?
Imma just assume everything on this site is legit, cuz it's more fun that way, duh. 😅
Tumblr media
"de Lioncourt de Pointe Du Lac," IS THIS CANON, AMC? 👀 Did that Black girl LEGALLY walk around in Jim Crow NOLA with TWO DIFFERENT MEN WITH TWO DIFFERENT LAST NAMES' & TWO DIFFERENT RACES' surnames? Explain!!!!
Ok, confirmation that Sept 21st really is Claudia's birthday. So it's NOT the date that she was Turned? (I assumed she was Turned sometime between Sept 1st - Nov 12th.)
Tumblr media
Uh, NO ONE in either season has ever referred to Lestat as "the Brat Prince." Yes, Louis said in 1x6 that Lestat was a brat (derogatory) for not killing Antoinette, but he didn't call him a prince. So where is the Talamasca getting this information from? Is this something DANIEL calls Lestat in the actual book?
I like that the Talamasca is letting it be known that the Cloud Gift is NOT a "baseline vampiric power." This is NOT something the average vamps can do by default. The Cloud Gift is the mark of an exceptionally strong vampire, and it's a BIG deal that Lestat can do it pre-QotD, cuz it implies that he drank A LOT of Akasha's blood the very first time in the 1700s, unlike book!Lestat. Which means Les is MUCH more powerful than he was in the books. And also means the Ep5 fight was NOT EVEN.
Lestat is "KNOWN" to Turn humans against their will--wuuut? 🫖👀 Wait--how are they gonna spin Lestat turning Nicki then? 👀 Cuz the argument can 100% be made that neither Nicki nor Louis were in the right or healthy mental/psychological state to properly CONSENT to become vampires, esp. since Nicki was actively losing his mind and Louis was roaring drunk & suicidal. And ofc Claudia said during the Trial how "that f****r didn't ask, gave me no say!," directly paralleling Lestat with Magnus. But is David Talbot actually gonna be a thing?! 😱😩 PLEASE say it ain't so, AMC, I can only take so many racist old white men on the same show, and that slot has already been occupied, thank you very much!
Previous lovers are indeed Lestat's weak spot--and Rhoshamandes exploited TF outta that factoid in the PL Trilogy; GOD I hope AMC gets that far with the books!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Why bother greying out Louis' profile and put it all the way at the end of the list? (Thank you @crazykuroneko for the unblurred image!)
Ok, conformation that Louis' birthday really is 1877, and that the 1878 & 1879 dates in the other episodes were dead wrong.
Claudia called Louis the "BLACK Angel," not the "Dark Angel" wtf
It's not human "emotion" that makes Louis empathetic, it's about humane treatment & giving people the DIGNITY & RESPECT that HE was never given as a Black man in racist AF America. He hates the "extravagant/sadistic" killing of Lestat & the "cruel, barely motivated violence" of the Theatre coven. It has nothing to do with human "EMOTION;" he just tries to prove that just cuz vampires are monsters doesn't mean they have to behave monstrously--Jacob said Louis tries to be "elegant" and rise above his biology, even when he too wants nothing more than to swim in blood. Who TF made this website? This can't be canon. 🤦
Tumblr media
"PRESUMED deceased." 👀 Jfc are they bringing him back for S3?
The shapeshifting & dematerialization etc only counts while Lasher was a GHOST--that isn't a natural Taltos ability though. Their records should've specified that--I HATE that Esta didn't stick to the source material, where the book was VERY explicitly a GHOST story about a haunted house/family of witches.
The Talamasca should know what Taltos abilities actually are now, since they now have all of Cip's biological GRANDCHILDREN (Lasher's kids).
And I guess this also confirms that The Talamasca DON'T have Emaleth in custody, which means she really is missing. 👀
Tumblr media
Yawn, as usual.
TL;DR: I hope this website isn't canon, and if it is, I hope they edit/update it with more accurate/precise information. Cuz this ain't it, chief. For a Talamasca database/bestiary website, I'd hope/expect them to be on their A-Game, espo. since they know what a "rabid" fanbase they have, and that book readers are also watching what they do with the lore.

Part 2, LGF! ^0^
Louis and Lestat as Odysseus and Penelope: Cursed by the gods for his hubristic pride (Alderman Fenwick/Poseidon) and for his unnatural diet (his men eating Helios' cattle-of-the-sun/vampirism), Loudysseus is lost at sea with no memory/knowledge how to get back home. His beloved spouse Penelope/Lestat languishes (in Ithaca/the dump); spinning yarns (Laertes' funeral shroud/"Long Face" double album) as "protection against the wolves" (the suitors/angry S3 vamps). Their child (Telemachus/Claudia) is forced to grow up alone in a toxic environment (the suitors/Theatre). During his "Odyssey of Recollection" he encounters monsters (1-eyed Polyphemus/the Revenant "how can he hunt with no eyes!?"), hallucinations (the Lotus Eaters & Sirens/DreamStat "Come to Me, you little wh*re~!"), and strange lands (Queen Arete in Phaeacia/Daciana in Eastern Europe). He goes to Hades/Hell to get directions (Tiresias/Raglan James), and finds the long-dead ghosts of his past (Elpenor/Paul & his mother Anticlea/Florence). He's deeply troubled, "I run to the grift...to the bottle...to bad beds," held captive by gods who overpower, gaslight, & mindwipe & rape him (Circe/Santiago/Tom Anderson, Calypso/Armand); before a powerful Olympian god orders that he be set free (Hermes/Daniel) "he directed the play!," "pieces of myself...coming back." Back home, Telemachus/Claudia is all grown up, and they team up to destroy everyone who desecrated his home (the suitors/The Trial). Penelestat & Lodysseus are reunited ("I came to thank you") and live happily ever after (Blood Communion). (We DO NOT acknowledge the Telegony sequel under my roof!)
Marius and Armand as Zeus and Ganymede: The prototypical archetypical blueprint of problematic yaoi age-gap eromenos/erastes classical paedophilic dubcon/noncon bodice-ripper love-as-rape/rapio (to seize, snatch, capture, carry off). 🫣🥵 Armand/Ganymede just minding his own business being pretty, when bored AF Zeus/Marius swoops in (as an eagle/on his gondola) to take (kidnap/"rescue") the boy and bring him to Olympus/the palazzo. His "Master", Zeus/Marius grooms the boy (Ganymede = Lat. Catamitus "catamite;" Amadeo = Lat. "Beloved of God") to be his lover and cupbearer/apprentice, much to the chagrin of everyone else (Olympians/Venetians). His wife Pandora/Hera is a hater, but she ain't wrong about Marius/Zeus! Ganymede/Armand is made an immortal boy (ambrosia & nectar/vampirism), and is relegated to a life of drudgery (cupbearer/Children of Satan's "fool for God/Satan").
Louis and Claudia as Deadalus and Icarus: DaedaLouis as the brilliant business savvy artiste too smart for his own good, Mr. Fire Escape, Mr. Cane-Sword; who attracts the wrong kind of attention when he's held captive by his patron (Minos/Lestat) and his batsh*t crazy wife (Pasiphae/Antoinette). Caged together in the labyrinth that used to be his pride & joy (1132 townhouse), he and his child (Icarus/Claudia) plan their big escape (Murder Plot / wax wings); only to for the child to fly too close to the sun (Icarus) /sunlight (Theatre) and die. U_U
Lestat and Claudia as Hera and Hephaestus: Angry that they keep being abandoned/neglected by their loved ones (Zeus/Gabrielle/Nicki), Hera/Lestat creates their own child through parthenogenesis. But the child is "a mistake" & "built like a bird" (Claudia); a misshapen disappointment (Hephaestus); so Hera/Lestat casts the child off (out of Olympus/Claudia's college years). The abandoned foundling is adopted by loving parents (Thetis/Louis), who encourage the prodigy's talents (underwater/volcanic craftsmanship/Emily Dickinson/European travels). Their talents are noticed and Claudia/Hephaestus are "welcomed" in a new community (return to Olympus/"Rule Number 5"/Theatre initiation), only to be publicly humiliated by them (cucked by Ares & Aphrodite/"chess games vs Lestat"/Baby LouLou), who cause them "misery with no horizon." Instead of being warmed by the thermal/volcanic forges (Hephaestus), Claudia dies in them (burned alive).
(Moral of these stories: Claudia always suffers more than Christ)

How do you think they will approach Lestat's reaction to book?
In canon he wants to explain himself to Louis, book upsets him and to shield L from other vampires wrath( which has already been set w final scene of 2×08).
As for the show canon i am guessing final version is very different than first draft which was initially Louis's petty attempt to trigger Lestat to come find him. However this time w experience and wisdom Daniel read Louis through and challenges many times, comes victorious. Destroys his empty shell of marriage, brings the truth out.
I want to see a scene book bringing a moment of illumination to Lestat. Louis truly love me? Is there a possibility for him to forgive me, for me to win him back? Lestat is not much of a reader but he has an instinctual intelligence so i really wish him read bw lines and move forward to "set the record straight" w underlying pining and hope.Bc - a sappy, pining mess for Louis Lestat - is my favorite Lestat.
Lestat does become a reader in later books, though not as much as Louis, but that just as a note.
As for s3... I mean, if Lestat and Louis really did reunite, then his reaction to the book will be not as extreme as if they did not. So it will be very interesting to see how they will spin it.
AND it will be very interesting to see what the Talamasca may have edited - cut? Or added.
And if the meeting happened then THAT might factor into what Lestat does this time round. Because the Talamasca are wayyyy more involved already, and I do not think we have seen the last of them.
I do not know yet how it will come together. A lot of "what ifs" depend on whether the meeting actually happened, or not - and how much time has passed.
But yes - I also hope for pining, and hope, and yearning.
And the fierce, fiery, defiant determination to shield Louis.

There was some announcement about needing extras for a show in Prague, and even though there's nothing (as far as I know?) to indicate that it's iwtv, some people are freaking out that it says the show will be 8 episodes and that that's not enough for TVL. But if it IS for iwtv...Rolin said in that sdcc interview that he was still thinking about whether to split tvl into two seasons, and he had already touched on aspects of tvl in the first two seasons but he could bring in storylines from other books if he needed to...which sounds to me like he feels that JUST tvl, by itself, could fit into one season? We know TVL is the reason he wanted to do the show in the first place, so he clearly has a strong idea of what story he wants to tell...
I actually kind of have been assuming the season would be eight episodes given s1 and s2 basically were, even if s1 was adjusted for COVID costs in the way that most shows were. The question in the back of my head has been more if they would spread it across one or two seasons.
I think you could probably do TVL as one season if you were doing a 1:1 adaptation, but the problem is that they've got more story than the books do between going all out on the tour, the series being structured as an interview instead of Lestat just writing it down, seemingly introducing Ghost!Claudia this early, and maintaining Louis (and Daniel) as a lead (Armand already is one in TVL, so that's easy at least).
I mentioned this a while ago, but given TVL and QotD function as such a duology within the broader series, it could actually work to do both books across three seasons, as opposed to one or two each. It could actually give them more room to breathe and allow them to rearrange certain plot points in a way that could feel pretty organic (i.e. bringing Devil's Minion forwards from QotD to TVL or pushing Marius back a little to have Lestat drink from Akasha and Akasha's modern awakening overlap the books to close out s3 and recommence in s4).
But yeah, I mean, Rolin seems to know what he's doing, so we'll just have to wait and see. :-)
