Holy shit my first real art post in literal years and it's a motherfuckin' crossover piece! FUCK YEAH!

Does this mean my burnout is finally gone? ...........eh, kinda.

OKAY! So A lot has been going on over the last....... SEVERAL years???

I won't go into it too much here, cuz I wanna actually talk about what I'm posting here.

So, Helluva Boss is a show I've been a fan of since episode 1.

A friend of mine and I have enjoyed nerding out about it every time a new episode drops, and Stolas is one of our favorite characters from the show.

Also, I've recently picked up a hyperfixation on the Game Grumps, and especially Dan Avidan, AKA Danny Sexbang.

I particularly really enjoy his music, from his comedy work in Ninja Sex Party and Starbomb to his more serious stuff in Skyhill and Shadow Academy to his collab cover almbums with the Super Guitar Brothers.

ANYWAY, so one day my friendo and I were flinging our obsessive nerdings at each other, and they were like "Imagine Danny Sexbang, but wearing Stolas' outfit."

And I was like, "Hmmm yes, but also consider.... Stolas... in Danny Sexbang's outfit?"

And then inspiration struck, and I had to make it real. SO I DID!

Here he is in all his glory! Stolas Sexbang!

The burnout I've been suffering for the last few years has been AWFUL, and it's so nice to finally be able to sit and do art without the consistent "UUUUGH" feeling that came with the burnout.

Does this mean I'll be posting more? No promises.

This just was a nice little burst of inspiration that I am glad to have been able to follow through on.

Guys, let me tell you it feels SO GOOD to finally have been able to do something like this again. I've been doing like random sketches here and there over the last few years, but nothing post worthy.

This was the first actual project I've been able to get myself to do, and it felt so good.

For a long time, I was feeling like I was never going to recover from this burnout, and I was about ready to give up hoping for it.

But this... Gave me so much relief. You have no idea.

All this to say I can't say I've fully recovered from my burnout, but I can at least say that I've finally started to.

You didn’t know if you felt more bored or frustrated as you saw how delayed your flight actually was

The thought of sitting down somewhere by yourself for hours on end with nothing to do wasn’t something you were planning on

The seats were uncomfortable and the airport was crowded

Nothing but packed restaurants and overflowing tourist shops surrounding you

Thats when you heard the mumbled curses flowing out of the man next to you

His brows furrowed and his eyes narrowed as he read and reread the delay posted on the television screen

You couldn’t help the small giggle that fell from your lips

His gaze landed on you as a slight smile tugged on the corners of his lips

Summary: You and Dan go to a party with your peers, trying to get you to tell your crush your feelings. However, time nears the morning, and you still haven’t told, causing Danny to start a game of Spin the Bottle. When your crush spins and lands on you, he refuses, prompting Danny to, yet again, take matters into his own hands.

Your P.O.V. (Second Person)

Looking at yourself in the mirror for the seventh time in the past ten minutes, you wiped your slightly sweaty hands on your pants. "You look just fine!" Danny noted, seeing how nervous you were.

Sighing, you responded. "Dan, what if he doesn't talk to me? You know I've had this crush for, like, over a year already!"

"Yeah, I know." He sounded a little disappointed, but you decided to ignore it. "Again, you look gorgeous, if he turns you down, it's his loss."

You couldn't help smiling a little. "I guess you're right. I'm just overreacting."

Taking a deep breath, you looked at yourself once more and said you're ready to go. Danny jumped excitedly. Bumping his head on your ceiling in the process. You both left the house laughing your heads off.

~Woop Woop! Party skip!~

Looking at the clock, you noticed it was already 3:17 a.m. You've been here since 10, and still haven't told C/N that you liked him. Dan noticed as well, and patted your head, giving you a small smile. "Hey guys, wanna play Spin The Bottle?" He yelled to everyone.

You heard cheers from some, as well as groans. Many continued dancing and talking, but a handful of people sat in the circle, including C/N. "I'll spin first," your friend Sammy offered.

After a couple rounds, it was your crushes turn to spin. Your heart started beating quicker and quicker, until it seemed to have stopped. The bottle was facing towards you. Looking up in disbelief, you locked eyes with C/N. "Uh, no thanks," he retorted.

There were quite a few snickers as you felt your heart plummet all the way down to your toes. Blinking and looking down to hold back tears, you heard Dan speak up. "Fine, I guess I'll kiss her then."

Your head shot up at his statement, and your lips connected. It was a short, sweet kiss, but it left you wanting more. This... this felt right, like you were meant to be like this forever.

The rest of the game, you couldn't get your mind off of Danny and that kiss. You could also see a slight pink hue on his cheeks every time you glanced over at him.

~Timmity-time skip to after le party~

Walking in awkward silence to Danny's car, after the party was over, you made a small cough, causing Dan to look over at you. "So, uhm, what... what was that back there?" You motioned back at the house.

"Oh uh, I've just really wanted to do that for a while now," he rubbed the back of his neck.

"Well, I certainly enjoyed it!" You giggled.

He slowly lifted his head, as if he didn't think he heard you correctly. Seeing as you were serious, he picked your giggling self up and spun you around. As he set you back on the ground, you jumped up and pecked his lips, teasing him. "C'mon Y/N," he pouted, "I don't get more for being a hero?"

"Mmmm, maybe later," you responded, skipping the rest of the way to Dan's car.

A/N: Reader is gender-neutral. Being awkward near Dan? He seems so chill, I think it'll be hard to be awkward near him. But I'm doing this for you anon! Love ya 💕

You didn't quite know when these feelings for your beloved friend came about but goddamn it made life just a bit harder.

Whenever you talked to Dan, your hands began to shake a little bit more. Your face began to heat up more often and you would often fumble with your words.

However, Dan found your quirks completely endearing.

Whenever you got anxious around him, he'd simply place a hand on your shoulder and just say, "Breathe. Slow down and just breathe."

Of course, that would cause anyone else to pass out, but you would easily become at ease under his touch.

You were twenty-eight, well about to be twenty-eight in a few days. Your friends at the grump space would always make a big deal about your birthday as they did with any other grump.

This year, however, you told everyone that you didn't really want to celebrate your birthday for it was just another year closer to death. Or as Dan would like to put it, "You're another year closer to losing all your eggs!"

You would chuckle at the odd statement, while a disturbed Suzy would reply with a distressing "Dude! Gross."

Though, while you were busy laughing at Dan's joke, you missed the fact that he would gaze at your face with an adoring smile of his own. His eyes would meet your euphoric ones and quickly make their way to your lips for a second, thinking of all the ways of how he could possibly kiss you.

So, when Arin was sick and you had to cover for him, Dan was slightly ecstatic. You however? Abso-fucking-loutely petrified.

You didn't want to embarrass yourself in front of Dan, let alone in front of millions of fans.

"Hey guys! Arin is currently sick because he's a bitch, so that's why we have the lovely (Y/N) (L/N)!" Dan introduced you to the lovelies with a doting smile on his face.

"Hello!" You covered your mouth immediately, before chuckling nervously, "Was that too loud?"

"No that was great, I loved it."

"Yeah, but I don't want to make anyone's ears bleed." You gestured towards your ears, pretending to have a gushing fall of blood excrete from your eardrums.

"With a voice as beautiful as yours, that could never happen." Dan half-jokingly spoke into the mic.

"T-thanks man," you brought a hand up to your cheek to feel heat emitting from it, "Maybe I should become an ASMR channel."

After the recording session, Dan had yet to take his eyes off you. Whenever you spoke, his eyes always darted to your lips, as if he want to plant his onto yours.

He would crack jokes in order to see you smile and compliment you in order to fluster you. All of which worked.

But right now, he wanted nothing more than to have you.

So when you went up to him, slightly jittery, to ask him out to dinner he quickly accepted your long awaited offer.

"Hell yeah." Was all he could possibly muster. But you can tell that the feelings you have for him was also there for you.

Everyone looked at you as if they were trying to apologize for Ross’s actions. Dan looked over at you with a small smile and said, “Do I know you? Cause you look exactly like my next girlfriend.”

It’s a little short! I hope its kind of what you wanted!

Dan Avidan. He was perfect, to say otherwise was a flat out lie. Every bit of him was kind, caring, sweet, and just about every other positive word in the English language that you could think of. Sure at times he had a tough exterior but if you were within the lucky people who got to be loved by him you knew what it felt to be truly loved. He was exactly what Y/N felt she never deserved but couldn’t be more thankful to be able to call him hers. She hadn’t been as Lucky in her past relationships. People her age were not kind. They were only driven by their sex drive and didn’t have any sort of grasp for actual human emotions. Her last boyfriend seemed to be the worst of them all, leaving her scarred. It made nights, much like this one difficult.

Date Night. 

Y/N always could feel her anxiety build up more on nights like this. She loved Dan with all her heart but date night always left her afraid. It was on date nights where her last boyfriend would cause the most harm,  alway resulting in him grabbing her aggressively and throwing her around leaving her bruised and battered. Something was always broken at the end of the night, and aside from the picture frames it always seemed to be Y/N. 

A knock on the door made Y/N jump, her mind being forced into reality. The voices from outside grew louder as she heard her apartment door open and everyone come inside. It was group date night tonight which included Arin and Suzy and of course Dan and Y/N. She smiled when she heard Dan’s laugh carry from the living room though the halls. Adjusting her shirt for the last time she turned and left her bedroom heading to meet the others. She entered the room smiling and waving at Arin and Suzy who were stood by the front door. Danny snuck up from behind, wrapping his arms around her waist and spinning her around. Y/N screamed, louder than she has in a while and quickly pushed herself away from Danny. Her heart was racing and her breathing was shaky as she stepped away from him and wrapped her arms around her waist. Everyone stared at her for a moment looks of concern hung on their faces.

“S-Sorry guys I just really wasn’t expecting that.” Y/N smiled, facing a small laugh. She stepped closer to Dan, her eyes locking with his own concerned ones. Danny had only heard brief bits of her history, no complete stories but enough for him to piece together what had probably happened before and he understood why she was guarded in the way she was. He wrapped his arm lightly around her waist and with all her might she tried to fight the urge to flinch at his touch but she still jumped lightly, he still smiled softly down at her rubbing small circles along her skin. “You guys ready to go?” She asked and everyone nodded, the uncomfortable air lifting quickly as they all left the apartment. 

The group walked down the buzzing streets of downtown LA, Y/N stuck close to Danny as many people bumped into her and yelled around. It wasn’t often that this group went out, Dan and Erin always occupied indoors with Grums and Suzy and Y/N occupied with their own channels. But on the rare occasion that the group got out it was always crazy to see everyone around in LA. He held on tightly to her hand but quickly readjusted to wrap his arm around her and hold her closer within his bubble to protect her as he felt her body tensing with everything going on around her. She instantly relaxed into him, he was much taller than her and was able to fully protect her. He leaned down to kiss the top of her head, causing her to flinch yet again. Every time Y/N flinched at Dan’s touch his heart ached more and more, Y/N would never know this of course but she could assume it wasn’t the most ideal situation for your girlfriend of nearly a year to flinch every time you touched her. 

The group made it inside of the bowling alley, the atmosphere far more upbeat than the previous. Y/N let out a breath of relief as she slipped off her jacket and attempted to switch her mind from panic ridden to fun. Suzy types in everyone’s names and the game was off, Dan and Adin took charge of going and getting drinks and food for everyone while Y/N waited patiently on the bench, staring at a spot on the ground absent minded. Suzy glances over to the girl who’s face seemed to slowly rest into one of worry. She sat beside her unnoticed until her hand was placed on Y/N’s knee making her flinch.

“Y/N, sweetie, hun, best friend, love of my life, the sun to my shine, the bees to my knees. ” Y/N rolled her eyes with a smile. Suzy only ever said these things when she was trying to get information out of her. 

 “What ever do you want?” Y/n asked, laughing lightly as Suzy smiled. 

 “Well I’m worried.” 

 “About...” Y/N asked, raising her eyebrows. 

 “You.” Suzy grew serious in the instant. Her eyes darting over to the bar where the boys were stood still waiting, hopefully she had enough time. Y/N’s heart dropped and she cleared her throat, directing her gaze back to the spot on the floor. “Ive known you for a little over a year now. You jump every time someone touches you... Like a knee jerk reaction anytime someone shows touches you in a friendly or loving way.” Y/N’s gaze stayed put, her breathing becoming labored. “I just... I don't want you to be living in fear. You deserve more than that.” 

“Thank you Suzy. It’s just kinda hard for me to talk about... My last boyfriend, the one right before Dan. He was insanely abusive. All he really had me around for was to be his punching bag. He would come home wasted, or just become angry at the flip of a switch and would grab me and throw me into walls or pull my hair and stuff. The last night I saw him I ended up in the hospital It’s just become instinct to think any time someone touches they are just going to hurt me. I know Danny probably noticed it. I mean how you could not when your girlfriend acts replaced by your touch for so long. But I just never had the courage to talk about it, I was still so sensitive to it. I try so hard to fight the urge to jump but I suck at it. I love Dan, more than I have ever loved anyone. He is so kind and patient and I’m just so scared that I’m going to lose him because of it.” There was silence for a moment after she finished speaking, only the small group of kids bowling a few lanes down could be heard. Y/N finally lifted her gaze to look at Suzy after the silence made her nervous. Suzy was staring behind Y/N with a firm sad smile. She followed her line of sight landing on Danny’s face. Her stomach dropped, how long had he been standing there? 

“I love you so much Y/N. I would never, never hurt you. You deserve the absolute world and I vow to protect you from anything out there that wants to harm you. I hate to break it to you but you are kinda stuck with me.” Dan smiled, sitting besides Y/N making eye contact with her as he gently took her hands in his own, Y/N using all her effort to not flinch. She smiled before leaning in to kiss him, resting her head on his chest

Your heart felt numb as it thumped in your chest, your mind feeding you countless lies that you could only assume were true. You felt worthless and alone, like the world didn’t really need you in it, like everything would go on the same if you were never there. Your friends would go on and live their lives, reminiscing in the old times that you weren’t apart of. They’d get married and have kids, make new friends, start new lives… all without you.

They didn’t need you and you knew that now.

A soft whimper left your chapped lips as the tears pricked your eyes, your body curling onto itself. You tugged the blankets up higher on your body, tucking them under your chin as you stared blankly at the wall ahead of you. Your limbs were too heavy to move; everything felt numb, like you were a static filled tv screen.

The knock on your front door only made your tears fall faster, your limbs still not moving from their place under the blankets. You could hear the slight jingle of keys before the sound of the door opening and closing, your mind not even comprehending who it could be. You didn’t feel the fight or flight emotions the would normally rush through you, you didn’t feel anything.

“Y/N?” Dan’s soft voice called out in a slightly panicked tone, his heavy footsteps walking towards your bedroom. “Are you home?”

Even if you wanted to respond, you couldn’t, your sobs were to overwhelming to stop. All you could do was lie there, unmoving as you cried over your own thoughts.

As soon as your bedroom door opened, Dan’s breath hitched in his throat; his eyes widening as he quickly walked over to you, crouching down beside your bed.

“What’s wrong sweetheart?” He asks with furrowed brows and a frown etched onto his lips. Dan’s hand moved to brush away the stray hairs along your forehead, tilting his head to the side as he hummed. “You don’t have to say anything but i’m here for you now, i’m here.”

Without another word, Danny stood up and walked to the other side of your bed, maneuvering his long limbs as he climbed in behind you. You could feel the mattress sink under his weight, his arm draping over waist as he pressed his forehead in between your shoulder blades.

“I love you so much Y/N… I don’t like it when you cry.” His voice was soft as his arm tightened around you, pulling you closer to him. “I’m here if you need to talk… I’m always here for you.”

When You’re Focusing - Dan Avidan x Reader

So the other day, I wound up taking a nap and had a dream about this and it was just one of those dreams that’s just so vivid and real. Like, color and touch and sound, the whole shabang. So here’s the dream in fanfic format <3 My dream didn’t take place in the old office, but it was still a kitchen and since there hasn't been a new office tour, we’re just gonna have it be the old kitchen/kinda bar looking area. I kept this exactly as it was in my dream <3

Also, Ashley doesn’t exist in this, I will never include her in any Danny x Reader. Ever.

“Dude, no, it fucking sucks! It’s impossible!”

If anyone had ever told you that you would one day be sitting with the people you looked up to most, much less working and learning as a part of their business, you would have said that they were crazy. Granted, sometimes dreams do come true, but this one always felt too out there when you considered it. 

And yet there you were, with your Nintendo Switch in hand, sitting at a counter with Dan Avidan and Arin Hansen, arguing over Breath of the Wild. It was nice to finally feel like you were comfortable to just hang around them. Being around the well known members of the Grumps team had given you massive anxiety at first, yet as the months went on, you couldn’t imagine life without them anymore.

You rolled your eyes and continued on with your game, the Trials of the Sword weren’t the easiest, but you were infinitely more patient than Arin was. For the moment at least. 

Dan leaned across the counter to watch your screen as you fought your way smoothly through the game, nodding appreciatively. “I don’t know, man. She’s crushing it so far.”

You glanced up, your gaze meeting warm brown eyes.

Arin huffed and turned to the fridge, digging through it, occasionally pulling something out only to dismiss it and keep looking. 

You quickly progressed through the level, aware that Dan was still watching you. You looked up at him again. Had he leaned in more?

Arin’s back was still to the both of you, he was now rattling off the items he was pulling out, commenting about a forgotten take out box. 

Dan’s own back was towards his friend as he leaned just a little more across the counter, those brown eyes of his flicking towards your lips then back up. 

You felt your eyes close as he pressed his lips to yours. You could feel the scratch of his stubble against your face. The feeling of his slightly chapped lips as well. 

There was a brief flash of fear through you as you remembered Arin was right there. But the thought was gone almost  as quickly as it arrived. 

Dan pulled back at the sound of Arin’s loud exclaim. 

“We have got to be throwing this shit away. There’s another box in here but it’s got its own ecosystem! Look at this!”

Dan jumped away from him, “Arin, that’s disgusting.” He laughed.

The kiss, while not the first, had taken you by complete surprise. You pulled your scrambled brain together quickly and made a look of absolute horror at the old takeout in Arin’s hands.

“That’s so gross, dude.”

Arin sniffed it, pulling back immediately. “I’m tossing this in the outside bin.” 

As soon as he was gone, Dan was in front of you again, brown eyes now twinkling.

“What part of ‘we’re not telling anyone we’re dating yet’ took a vacay, Danny? Had Arin turned around, we would have been caught.” You scolded softly. 

The both of you had agreed to keep your relationship a secret, and not just cause it was fairly new. You were eighteen years apart, 25 to his 43. And while neither of you cared, you were more than well aware of how it would look to others. 

Dan grinned. “Couldn’t help it, sunshine. You’re so cute when you’re focusing.”

You rolled your eyes as he leaned in again, obliging him in another kiss.
