Tim, 18 and bored out of his mind in his big CEO office, is interrupted by a scrawny teenager.
"Hey, I heard Wayne Enterprises gives out like, grants and stuff," the teen starts, clearly awkward and blushing green. "I need money to hire lawyers to put away my creepy GodFather for misuse of a mind-controlling Meta Ability and also stalking."
Tim shelves that.
Takes a look at the teen, probably Damian's age or thereabouts, that just floated through his wall of windows at over 30 stories.
White hair, floating, green eyes (lazarus green what the fuck), jumpsuit (he's never seen that logo and is already memorizing it), fidgeting.
Tim takes what the teen just said off the shelf.
"And your godfather is...?"
"Can't say without giving away who I am."
"Okay. How is he 'creepy'?"
"Keeps trying to brainwash me into being his son, or tries to clone me, keeps sending goons after me, keeps trying to win over my mom, won't stop cosplaying as dracula, and I don't really know off the top of my head. I made a list, but it's like...somewhere."
Tim took a deep breath.
Held it.
Let it go.
That reminded him way too much of Ra's.
Held out his black Amex.
"Go crazy."

“The Supermarket Encounter”
The supermarkets on Sundays were hell, everybody knew that. So, as a smart person, you were there usually on Friday mornings. However, that day was Wednesday but you were running out of some things.
You were alone ‘cause your husband hated going to buy the groceries. So, he gives you the money and you do it all by yourself. It wasn’t something that upsets you, most of the time, you wanted to be as far away from him as you could, so, you enjoyed your time alone.
When you were twenty, you met Sean Davis, a handsome substitute teacher. Sean was the guy everyone wanted to date, he was a daydream and all of your friends were jealous that you were the one who caught his eye, and, actually, you were so proud and excited for the same reason. You started dating him and soon, things became formal between you two. He was four years older, but that didn’t matter ‘cause he seemed to be perfect.
You got married as soon as you graduated from college. As normally happens, finding a job as a newly graduated was hard. Sean told you not to worry, that you’d find a good job when the perfect time came. So, you stayed at home being the ‘good wife’ your mother taught you to be.
Sean found a full-time job in a private high-school and soon, your life as a wife wasn’t what you expected; Sean was always working, you barely saw your friends or family, the only thing you did was, staying at home.
As the months passed, you started to know a side of Sean you didn’t know. You knew he had a temper just like everyone, but whenever he had a stressful day at work, he comes home and takes it out with you. He yelled, hit the wall, pushed you away of his way, and in bed, he was rougher.
Three years later he was fired after some girls accused him of sexual harassment. You always trusted him. You didn’t ask questions, but you believed what he told you: Those rich girls were mad at him for their bad grades.
After that, you started to know another side of him. He started drinking almost every day, he became more aggressive, he shouted at you more frequently, and when you said you were going to look for a job again, he went mad. He was the man, he was going to provide his family. Sean didn’t want you outside home, there were men in the streets, what if you fall in love with someone else? What if you cheat on him? Maybe you wanted to get a job so you could sleep with another man. That was what he told you before hitting you.
You stayed. That’s what your mom told you to do. He was a man, he felt he was failing you as a husband, that was why he was mad. He wasn’t thinking clear, he was drunk, he didn’t mean to hit you. It was your fault; you shouldn’t have said that.
Sean got another job in New York, but not even moving out of Florida changed him. You were so careful with every step you walked in your own house, you cleaned all the house twice just to make sure everything was perfect so he wouldn't have an excuse to shout at you. You lived like that for three years and it didn’t matter how hard you tried to make everything the way he wanted, he still found something to be mad for.
But not everything was that way. He had good days in which he took you out for dinner. Sometimes, he would come home with your favorite flowers and watched movies together in your bed. Things could change, since today, everything is going to be different. You used to think. But it didn’t happen.
And one day, he came home. He kissed you hard, he started to touch you, being as romantic as he could be and said: “Let’s make a baby”. That was a great idea, how couldn’t you think about that? Maybe, becoming a father would change him.
So, after three months of trying, you got pregnant. Sean was so happy and so were you. He talked to your belly every night, he was with you at the doctor's, he took care of you. You were seeing the Sean Davis you got married to again.
One night, he was talking to the baby as if it was a “he” and you asked: “Love, you know it can be a girl, right?” as you were smiling. You shouldn’t have said that.
One week later, you had a miscarriage. You knew your baby wasn’t gonna make it since the moment Sean beat you. His firstborn wasn’t going to be a girl, were you insane? How could you have said that?
Sean cried and asked you to forgive him. You had never seen him cry before, maybe he was really sorry, maybe that would help him to change, maybe he realized what he was doing was wrong. So you forgave him.
You didn’t want to pass for the same experience again, so you started to take contraceptives without him knowing. You were willing to take all his screams and beatings because you couldn’t get pregnant as long as you could avoid losing another child.
Then, a few years after, your period was late and you started to feel sick and tired all the time. You read on the internet that antibiotics inhibit the effect of contraceptives, and you took some meds weeks before.
You were on the pharmacy when you found the pregnancy tests section. You saw the price of a package of three and then you saw the numbers on the screen of your phone. You had enough money to buy it, but the thing was that you didn’t want to ‘cause that meant you had to take those tests. You didn’t want to know; you didn’t want to be pregnant.
“(y/n)?”
The pregnancy tests fell into your cart when you turned to the person talking to you. Maybe it was the surprise, but maybe you wanted the package to get lost between all the other items you were going to buy for whoever was there couldn’t see them.
“Nick!” You sounded a bit confused, and it was because it took you a couple of seconds to recognize him “Sorry, you look a bit different without the beard”
“I’ve heard” He nodded and got close to you to hug you.
That simple and innocent action caught you unprepared so you weren’t able to properly hug him back.
“It’s been a long time since the last time I saw you. How’ve you been?” He asked, smiling with that same smile you remember.
“Great!” You said, smiling “What about you?”
“I’ve been fine” he nodded again and smiled “What happened to your eye?” he pointed to the —now— small bruise in the corner of your eye.
“Oh, I was playing with my nephew and he hit me with a bus he has… kids are unpredictable” you confidently said. You had a lot of practice by now.
Nick smiled. "Jack got married?”
“He did” you nodded “And he has two beautiful kids now, but they’re wild” you shrugged and smiled when the little faces of your nephews came to your mind “What have you done in all these years? I think I haven’t seen you since… what is it? fifteen yea—”
“Since you broke up with me?” Nick asked, smiling and you laughed. The heat in your face made you look down.
“Shut up,” you said, playfully pushing him and then, you looked at him, waiting for his answer.
“I’m a cop,” he said, taking a card out of his wallet and handing it to you. You took it and read his name and phone number in it.
“Oh, that’s great” you smiled “How many bad guys have you put behind bars?”
“Not as many as I’d like to”
There he was: Nicolas Amaro and his big heart of gold. The protective and caring Nick you remembered.
“Look, I have to go home now, but it was really nice to see you again,” you told him and he nodded when he looked to your left hand and saw your wedding ring.
“I say the same” he smiled and leaned to kiss your cheek “Hope to see you soon”
You smiled —‘cause that kiss left you speechless— and grabbed your cart to walk to the cashiers.

A lot of these posters are pictured in either giant bubble letters, rep font or in calligraphy. Can’t do any of these? lovelovelove,
 - Reputation Costumes.
…READY FOR IT?:
1. “Knew he was a killer” – you and a friend or significant other dress up as a killer and their victim (not to scary or realistic though! Just have fun with it)
2. “Left haunted” – could make a fun sign saying “Taylor left me haunted” or something silly with the word haunted! Could even use Haunted (Speak Now) lyrics!
3. “But if he’s a ghost, then I can be a phantom” – Few ideas:
→ Two people could dress up as ghosts.
→ Could also dress up as Danny Phantom because of the wordplay, or even the Phantom of the Opera if you wanted to be clever.
→ Could also dress up as ghost hunters/ghost busters.
4. “Holdin’ him for ransom” – dress as bank robbers! Could even copy the outfits from the vault scene in LWYMMD.
5. “I keep him forever, like a vendetta-ta” – Poster that replaces him for Taylor, so it says I keep Taylor forever, like a vendetta-ta.
6. “Island breeze and lights down low” – maybe dress tropical—think family vacation ha.
→ Could even improvise a poster that instead of saying island it could say (city name) breeze and stadium lights down low. Ex: “Boston breeze and stadium lights down low” (yes, I know its FOXBORO, but we all know Taylor just calls it Boston lol).
7. “In the middle of the night” – Dress as if you’re the night sky, glow in the dark ceiling stars or tape on a black/navy blue outfit with glitter. A matching poster in the shape of a star or a moon would be the perfect pairing.
8. “Are you ready for it?” – Poster with these lyrics on it. Remember posters can be as simple or as creative as you’d like. If you have a large enough group, you could make giant cutouts and hold two letters or so each.
9. “Stealing hearts and running off..” – A poster in the shape of a heart (not anatomical) with the lyrics on it.
10. “He can be my jailer” – Cop and Robber costume, could do the orange jumpsuit from the LWYMMD video and copy the “guards” around the birdcages outfits.
11. “Burton to this Taylor” – dress as Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor
12. “Let the games begin” – Multiple options for this one.
→   Could dress as a referee/sport player/some sort of sport reference
→   Have a game board attached to your outfit, make your own Taylor inspired game, maybe by gluing homemade items over a monopoly and have little trivia questions about her.
→   Game board inspired poster—an Uno card but with these lyrics rather than traditional uno face.
13. Recreate one of the outfits from the music video
END GAME:
1. “I wanna be your endgame” – Poster designed as your favorite/or classic “end game” credit logo.
2. “I wanna be your first string” – Sometimes related to sports or your favorite ship from a TV show/Film/Book so do what you may with this.
3. “I wanna be your A-Team” – Could dress up as the A Team. Poster with friends that spell out A-Team.
4.  “Big Reputation” – Poster with these lyrics or wear the End Game merch sold on Taylor’s site. Can’t afford it? Make your own with stencils and fabric paint!
5.  “I bury hatchets, but I keep maps of where I put ‘em” – Make/buy a shirt with a map on it—think buried treasure map with x’s to mark where stuff is hidden!
6. “Your body is gold” – Gold morph suit, gold body paint, gold glitter, gold anything! Dawn yourself in all gold for this look.
7.  “So here’s the truth from my red lips” – Make an outfit with red lips open with a speech bubble above it and have end game lyrics in each one! Or make a poster with the same idea.
8.  Recreate one of the many music video outfits!
I DID SOMETHING BAD:
1. “I play ‘em like a violin” – Make a poster cut out into the same of a violin and wear music notes.
2. ‘Now all he thinks about is me” – Poster saying “Now all I think about is Taylor”
3. “I can feel the flames on my skin” – Body paint flames in your arms/legs or wear flame pattern shirt.
4. “Crimson red paint on my lips” – Could be similar to the one above from End Game with red lips all over your outfit or a poster.
5. “If a man talk shit, then I owe him nothing” – Great lyric for a poster! Don’t want to put the swear on the poster? Get creative and maybe use the emoji covering its mouth or symbols!
6.  “I never trust a playboy, but they love me” – Going with a guy friend? Could have him dress like Hugh Hefner but of course remember the necessary clothing needed to get into a venue if you do this! Could also dress as a bunny (playboy related or just average you decide)
7. “So I fly ‘em all around the world” – Going to multiple shows? Make a poster of a globe with airplanes landing on each tour stop you’re going to!
8. “They’re burning all the witches even if you aren’t one” – Dress as a witch, could be inspired from the Salem witch trials, could be a cartoon-y Halloween one, or one from your favorite show or movie that involves witches!
9. “Pitchforks and proof, their receipts and reasons” – Poster in the shape of a pitchfork or one that looks like a store receipt or screenshotted iMessage but using Taylor lyrics as the messages or purchases!
10. “Light me up” – Most shows apparently will not allow lights but doesn’t mean you can’t light up with glow sticks, glow in the dark body paint/outfits or glitter!
11. “Most fun I ever had” – Poster saying “Taylor Concerts are the most fun I ever had!”
DON’T BLAME ME:
1. “Don’t blame me, love made me crazy” – Poster that says, “Don’t blame me, Taylor made me crazy.”
2. “Darkest little paradise” – Black lace vibe from this lyric, especially picturing those pumps that have fur on the front near the toes. Could also make a sign that’s a midnight black sky with glow in the dark stars writing out the lyric.
3. “They say, ‘She’s gone too far this time’” – Poster with this lyric and a map tracking all your shows if you’re going to multiple. Could have all the miles listed under each show!
4. “Halo, hiding my obsession” – Angel outfit? Make the halo out of glow sticks so it shines after the lights go down. Poster that says hiding my obsession, maybe make it look like a TSL post.
5. “I once was poison ivy, but now I’m your daisy” – Few ideas for this:
→   An outfit that starts as poison ivy on the bottom but slowly progress to daisies. Could have buds of daisies starting at the bottom with the ivy and start to have them bloom as it increases until it’s just all daisies.
→   Poster that spells out poison ivy in plastic (or real or drawn completely up to you) poison ivy.
→   Poster that spells out Daisy with Daisies from a craft store!
          →   Daisy Buchanan from Gatsby.
          →   Poison Ivy comic.
6. “Fall from grace” – Michael and Lucifer, so aka could go as a fallen angel or the devil. If you watch Supernatural then you can pull from that for inspiration!
7. Taylor related this song to church, love and drug use because those 3 are powerful enough to change a person. Dressing up as if you’re in a choir could fit this song! Even something church related, however trying to remain neutral with that can be difficult.
8. Some people get a Fifty Shades of Grey vibe from this song, do what you may with that.
DELICATE:
1. Poster spelling out delicate with an assortment of colorful fake flowers.
2. “You can make me a drink” – Poster cut out in the shape of a wine glass with the lyrics being written in a bold, thick font and place to look as if from far away its wine drawn in the glass.
3. “Dive bar on the East Side, where you at?” – “Taylor Swift concert in (your state), where you at?” sign. Could also make this look like an iMessage chat.
4. Fringe outfit similar to the video.
5. Dive bar outfit.
6. “Dark jeans and your Nikes” – Could easily where this exact outfit paired with a Taylor shirt if you aren’t into dressing up for shows!
7. “Never seen that color blue” – Poster with sketched blue eyes and these lyrics underneath it. Could also wear an entire blue outfit.
8. “Is it chill that you’re in my head?” – poster ideas:
→  Is it chill that Taylor’s in my head?
→  Is it chill that you’re in my head, Taylor?
9. “Handsome, you’re a mansion with a view.” - Dress up with a costume similar in the idea of the a skyscraper costume but as a fancy house!
10. “Echoes of your footsteps on the stairs” - Poster with an echoing effect (think Microsoft early 2000s word art) on the lyrics. Could even place the lyrics on top of one another to look like it’s building a staircase.
LOOK WHAT YOU MADE ME DO:
1. “I don’t like your little games” – See similar ideas for game inspired outfits above, OR
→  Make an outfit featuring miniature games attached to you, like Tamagotchi’s or make your own mini monopoly/life/etc. boards and glue them onto your outfit or poster. Possibly break the little boards in half and have broken pieces to represent not liking them.
2. “Of the fool” – Could dress up as a fool/clown. Silly, whimsical costume.
3. “Said the gun was mine” – Could do a poster of a smoking gun with the lyrics looking like they came out of the gun/the toy guns where flags pop out.
4. “Rose up from the dead” – Zombie! Tombstone poster!
5. “I’ve got a list of names and yours is in red, underlined” – List of names—Taylor related, maybe her cats or not—but have them all crossed out besides for Taylors at the bottom.
6. “I check it once, then I check it twice” – Some say this reminds them of Santa so by all means feel free to dress up Christmas-y.
7. “Look what you made me do” – Use the lyric video to create cool posters.
8. “I don’t like your kingdom keys” – few ideas:
→ Outfit with keys drawn on, make them look vintage and old, wear crowns with this look! Could also have keys dangling off the ends of the outfit.
→  Giant gold key posters, make them look novelty like the ones cities give to honor people.
9. Drama and Karma matching glitter posters.
10. Snake skin, snake rings, snake anything!
11. Choose one of the many outfits Taylor is seen wearing throughout the LWYMMD video, we’ll hopefully have some great, cheap knockoffs for these soon!
12. Dress up as “old Taylor” so this basically opens up endless possibilities from each era, check out our 1989 and Red costume lists for more ideas! Hopefully we can work on Speak Now, Fearless and Debut inspired lists soon too!
13. Merch! Merch! Merch! She has tons of Look merch on her site, wear that if you want to be casual.
14. Similar Blind for Love sweater is available on eBay! The similar patches are also sold at craft stores or online (eBay).
15. Use the patches sold through Taylor Swift’s store to make you’re own one of a kind outfit--whether it be a denim jacket, dress, you name it! You can even design you’re own patches using crafts.
16. “The old Taylor can’t come to the phone right now” - Poster using a picture of the “old Taylor” and a poster in the shape of a phone! Could incorporate the Our Song video, WANEGBT video, or the Look video when she’s on a phone.
SO IT GOES…
1.  “See you in the dark” – Poster where the word Dark is written in glow in the dark paint/marker to show up after the lights go down!
2. “All eyes on you” – Outfit with googly eyes glued all over it. Or create a poster with the same idea and the lyrics changed to “All eyes on Taylor”
→  Add “my magician” if you wish to the end of the poster lyric or combine the googly eyes theme with a magician costume.
3. “My magician” –  Multiple options:
→ Dress up in a magician’s costume, this can be traditional, or you can be as creative as you want with it.
→  Poster cut out to look like you’re holding a fan of cards (think trick magician’s deck) with any lyrics from the song written on it.
→  Could dress up as a magician’s assistant.
→  Dress up as a rabbit/bunny (stereotypically used in acts)
→  Poster in the shape of a bunny peeking out of a magician’s hat, or just the ears sticking out of the hat, with so it goes lyrics on it.
→  Poster of a crystal ball with “all eyes on you, my magician” written in it.
4. “You make everyone disappear” – “Taylor makes everyone disappear” written on a poster. Possibly write it in glow in the dark ink so it only shows when the lights are down and not before!
5. “Cut me into pieces” – Puzzle piece posters! You and a group of friends can each hold a piece that fits into the other and each can have one word of a line from any reputation song or simply use the “cut me into pieces”
6. “Gold cage, hostage to my feelings” – 2 options:
→  Make a cut out poster in the shape of a cage, individual cut out in between each bar so it’s open, do two sides like this and attach strings to wear the sign so it looks like the cage is around you. Could even wear this with the orange jumpsuit outfit from the Look video!
→  Poster in the shape of a gold bird cage with “hostage to my feelings” written inside of it.
7. “All our pieces fall right into place” – Poster with confetti, puzzle pieces, hearts either drawn on or glued. Either place or draw the pieces to spell out the lyrics as they fall down to a pile at the bottom of the poster paper or just have the pieces you decide to use “raining” down halfway through the poster and have the lyrics on the bottom half.
8. “So it goes…” Poster with these lyrics.
9. “Met you in a bar” – 2 options:
→  Poster drawn and cut out like a whiskey bottle with these lyrics, Taylor and reputation written on the label.
→  Using half of a poster board, draw what looks like a bar top (typically mahogany) with bottles either laying or standing across it and a few shot glasses, each bottle could be named after a song on the album!
10. “All eyes on us/All eyes on you/All eyes on me” -  Staring eye emoji drawn on a poster with a thought bubble above it with one of these 3 lyrics in the bubble.
11. “I make all your grey days clear” –
→  One person dresses up as a cloudy/rainy day so all grey clothes and have reflective blue tape cut into rain drops and white reflective tape to represent clouds (typically clouds are grey/black when it’s raining but those two colors won’t be reflective, could use glow in the dark paint/tape as well). Could also wear a cloud poster with raindrops hanging from it on string around them or hold as a regular poster with these lyrics in the cloud.
→  Second person dresses up as sunny day, in preferably light blue to represent a clear sky, yellow reflective tape cut out as suns on the outfit—could even have some breaking through clouds using white reflective tape. Person could also wear a sun poster around them like suggested above for the grey day look.
12.  “Wear you like a necklace” – Think flavor flav! Make a giant fake watch (or not a watch and just a necklace) out of string and cardboard. Have the reputation album cover or cd artwork be hanging from it/as the face of the watch.
13.  “Dressed in black now” – Wear all black! Draw attention to yourself with some glow in the dark paint or stickers, glow sticks and glitter.
14. “Scratches down your back” – Might not be appropriate with what its referencing for younger crowds and you may get looks from parents but create a shirt with bloody scratches down the backside and let the front side have “so it goes…” written on it.
15.  “You did a number on me” – Few options:
→  Poster cut out into a 13/22/1989 with the lyric written throughout the 13/22/1989.
→  Poster with an array of numbers related to Taylor filling it (13, 22, 1989, 10(Grammys), etc.). Write the lyrics in rep font first and draw the numbers around it, filling the background. Write in glow in the dark paint/tape, glue flowers over the lyrics, whatever you desire! Can even just use the word rep instead of doing the lyrics.
→  Idea above for the poster could also work on a shirt.
→  Poster with the number of shows you’re attending.
16.  “Who’s counting?” – See the ideas for the lyric above, they work well with this one as well.

What I have been up too
AGGGH! I’m an artist dammit! Why the hell am I learning code for?... Oh, right robotics/computer science, game development, challenging my tiny dyslexic brain, etc.
I’m trying to program a simple blackjack game (probability was my strongest subject in math, so I love this game) in Unity, but my damn cards aren’t turning right. I want the blackjack to be the battle screen for the RPG Visual Novel, I’m trying to write and do art for. So far Tako’s tutorial scene is almost written out, he’s going to introduce you to the rules of this blackjack game.
(this is where the simple blackjack will get complicated)
The Battle/Party system:
Basically in the “battle scene” I want to have the player’s health bar under their cards, as the enemy’s (the dealer’s) health bar is “above” (under if you are on their perspective). Different difficulties are based on how much health the enemy has. The heath represents the amount of times the player or enemy can “lose”. Once one reaches 0 the game ends. (Player kills enemy or vice versa, in some cases).
You will have a party of max 3 characters besides your main character. These extra character don’t have a health bar, but carry “Special” cards or can change the style of your attack based on who you select to deliver the “Attack” that turn. Default is protagonist attacks with a basic weapon (ie, short sword) as your party members may have element bonuses that deal extra damage to certain enemies. There will be a timer on how many rounds you need to wait before using a certain character again, I’m thinking 1-3 rounds depending on if you used a special card or a regular attack.
Obviously if you win the blackjack, you successfully attack the enemy. How much damage you do will be based on the character’s stats, elemental effect (if they have one), and if you chose a special card that effects the enemy. (Ie: a “❤” card can be used to heal yourself or attack an undead enemy for bonus damage).
This is the same for the enemy you are fighting. They don’t have a “party” but will have specials based on their typing. Some lower leveled ones will have no special cards, well higher leveled one will and have a higher RNG chances when they hit with them. The player character can put points into their “Resistance(s)” to lower how much elemental damage they take if the enemy isn’t neutral. But, sacrifice points that can go into health and general defence, though you can negate effects that will lower your own damage dealt by putting points into this stat.
The enemy and the player only have 11 regular cards in their decks. Numbered 1 to 11. If you hit “21″ as your score, you will deal a critical hit (a higher RNG rating than normal). If you hit a draw, both will miss/block/dodge the attacks.
Battle Rules:
#1: A special card & the party member it is linked to must be selected before your first “Hit me!”, during your turn in a round.
#2: Run out of HP and you Lose.
#3: Enemy opponent must have a total of 17 or higher score before standing.
#4: The closest one to 21 or hits 21 wins the round.
#5: No one wins on a draw.
Character(s) functions:
Basically what certain characters do, but not who they are (I’m not spoiling them)...
Tako is so far written to give you hints (basically his guess) on what the enemy has for his score. Given they only have 1 to 11 to deal with, the player could figure it out themselves. Though Tako can also give background information on an enemy if you're struggling to decide what will be the best course of action. He’s the only character you can select during battle that kind of ignores rule #1, as he’ll have a “Hint” button on his menu. He will not be selected to attack though if player uses his “Hint”. Like all members you must select “Attack/Special” at the start of the round if you actually want to use him to hurt the enemy. (Not advised as he has even lower attack than the protagonist...) Although all of this depends on if you take him with you or leave him at Jaxel and Damian’s shop, you can always pick him up though if you want his hint ability, but he will take a party member slot.
Jaxel & Damian Daniels, are two characters that run the shop where you can restock on “Special Cards”, buy/trade different weapons for certain members of your team that can have elemental properties, and healing items to use out of combat. (Warning: these two are not what they seem to be and may demand extra payment in other ways other than gold. This payment usually carries negative effects to the player, though you can choose to fight them instead if you refuse their extra demands.) The first thing they try to sell to you is Tako as a food item, where he teaches you how to fight monsters. They’ll let Tako stay in the shop’s fish tank if you leave him there, though they will not guarantee that he’ll be there when you return.... (Tako will be fine, maybe, talking soup is hard to sell, right?)
As I continue to smooth out and write the main story, there might be other characters with special functions, but this is what I have so far. The battle system/blackjack game is what I am currently focused on and want to finish before continuing with character and story development. I also have to figure out how to code for a Visual Novel in Unity.
To my followers:
I know my followers probably think “Oh, Kisa is changing their mind again on what game they are developing.” And I understand. I’m frustrated too that I can’t keep focus on one game concept.
My 3D game has a few unfinished models right now, I have my 2D side scroller (that might be going into the 3D game if I get my way), but this Visual Novel is replacing my previous ideas on one.
Since I have no script kiddy that I can use (Daniru’s busy doing his thing and this is to prove to myself that I can script too), and for learning purposes this is something I really want to tackle myself. I might get Daniru involved if, and only if I can’t do scripting myself and the story + characters + CGs are ready to be implemented. It’s mostly since I do not have money to waste paying him at least $50 to do this for me even if I’m unable to sell or raise money to push this through. I’m currently using royalty free music to cut time on this project.
I’m sorry for my empty promises in the past and I shouldn’t make excuses for my “laziness”. If I am to make excuses though, I’ve have a lot (if you haven’t noticed) of IRL BS, going on in my life at the moment. I’m fighting depression again without medication, and had been very sick for the past few months (like I lost 10 pounds in three days sick).
To my Ao3 followers:
I will try to update my Tokyo Ghoul Fanfictions (and Danny Phantom ones if you like those), again there has been a lot going on in my life. But, I am the type of person who hates leaving things on cliffhangers (did I ever tell you I borrowed $20 from a teacher on a trip and paid her back 3 years later, because the guilt of a debt was killing me inside?). I only take down stories I have no hopes of revisiting if they are not One-shots. If there is a “?” I will be updating when I am able.
The only thing that will permanently stop me from anything will be my death, and even then I bet I’d haunt my computer just to finish what I started. So don’t worry too much if I haven’t updated something you like. If it’s still on Ao3, know one day I’ll come back to it. (If you followed me for a long time you know I update chapters quickly when I get back into the swing of things!)
Thank-you for reading this far if you cared enough! Here’s a cookie:
🍘
Hopefully my next update will not be so long!
Oh, and I might be less active in the next few months do to that IRL BS. If things go right I will never have to deal with that stuff again. If sh*t hits the fan (and it will) know that I appreciate all of you guys! You really have been a positive in my life!

Watch geeks drive booming trade in preowned pieces
NEW YORK — Around two dozen traders sit in an open-layout second floor of a building in suburban Philadelphia. Surrounded by computer monitors, loud conversation and ringing phones, the energy on this trading floor is high and the commodity is blingy.
At the headquarters of Govberg, they’re not dealing in diamonds or gold but preowned luxury watches, of which company sells about $200 million worth a year.
Some 100 miles (160 kilometres) northeast, 23-year-old Christian Zeron sits in his parents’ dining room in suburban New Jersey looking at around 30 preowned vintage watches. In a few days, he’ll put them up for sale on his company’s website, theoandharris.com, which sells $2 million worth of watches annually.
Govberg, in the watch business for 35 years, and Theo&Harris, founded only three years ago, are part of the thriving preowned luxury watch business. Along with dozens of other companies, they are the core of an industry that has exploded over the past few years, rivaling the new luxury timepiece business in size.
“It’s bigger than people think,” said Reginald Brack, executive director and industry analyst for watches and luxury at NPD Group, which studies $2 trillion in consumer spending across 20 industries.
Brack said it’s difficult to quantify precisely the market for preowned watches because nobody tracks it thoroughly. But some estimates put it at three times the new luxury watch market, itself estimated to be worth up to $10 billion just in the U.S.
“I wouldn’t disagree with that statement,” Brack said. “And it’s only getting bigger.”
Even though watches have been disappearing from people’s wrists with the spread of mobile phones, luxury watches remain a popular status symbol. In fact, sales have slightly crept up in the last two years.
The preowned business allows shoppers to get a good deal on modern watches like Rolex Submariner, while also offering a large selection of vintage pieces like an early 20th Century Cartier Tank.
Danny Govberg, the founder of Govberg’s global watch operation WatchBox, compared the rise of preowned watches to the “quartz revolution” nearly five decades ago.
The introduction of battery-operated quartz movements in wristwatches took a big bite out of the market share from major automatic or mechanical watch brands such as Rolex, Omega, Patek Philippe, Jaeger-LeCoultre, and Audemars Piguet. Those brands, which have since recovered, are now the bread and butter of today’s preowned watch traders.
“Preowned watches are coming out of drawers so fast and furious now that I’ve never seen anything like it,” Govberg said in an interview in the company’s headquarters in Bala Cynwyd, just outside Philadelphia. “It’s a real disruption coming to our industry.”
Luxury brands have taken note. In June, Richemont, the owner of such brands as Cartier and IWC, bought Watchfinder, a British online platform for trading preowned watches.
“The preowned market has taken some business from the new market, there’s no question,” said Steven Kaiser, a veteran watch industry executive and founder of Kaiser Time, a New York-based luxury industry consulting firm.
Govberg entered the preowned watch business in 1983 when he introduced watches to his family’s jewelry store on Jewelers’ Row on Philadelphia’s Sansom Street.
“People weren’t collecting vintage watches back then,” he said, recalling that he would travel to Europe to buy used Rolexes and Patek Philippes from watch shows. “Little shows that you would go to, almost like trading card shows. Like wristwatch swap shows.”
At the turn of the millennium, new platforms such as eBay drove Govberg to adopt his own online strategy. Ultimately, he founded WatchBox, a digital platform and app that includes video reviews and a trading market for valuable timepieces. The company recently launched a second season of “The Classroom,” a YouTube series that aims to educate watch enthusiasts about the intricacies of owning a watch that could be worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Zeron, of Theo&Harris, also uses video to offer his thoughts on the industry. He regularly gets hundreds of thousands of views for his four weekly YouTube posts.
“Social media is where it took off,” he said, sitting in his parents’ living room with Anna Griffin who was his first employee and a fellow student at Seton Hall University in New Jersey. “We don’t have a retail store — there was no actual foot traffic. It was all social buzz.”
The young entrepreneur, who founded the company with $10,000 in saved up birthday money when he was a college sophomore, has a larger-than-life persona on social media, with a no-holds-barred approach to roasting iconic brands such as Breitling. Some of his viewers comment that he needs to lay off the caffeine or sugar.
The internet has democratized horological knowledge, much like other niche areas of expertise like aviation.
A watch enthusiast can spend hours on web forums, debating the differences between the various iterations of a $4,500 Tudor Black Bay (“I love the domed crystal but I’d be interested to see it 1mm thicker,” says one member on RolexForums.com of the latest “Fifty-Eight” release.)
The explosive growth of preowned watch sales has deeper roots than social media, however. There’s an emotional and intellectual appeal to owning a mechanical device that could have three hundred small pieces inside.
“Nothing that anyone consumes is very interesting anymore,” said Zeron, sporting a 1980s 18-karat gold Rolex Oyster Perpetual Day-Date.
Take the ubiquitous iPhone — easily replaceable, Zeron notes.
“If your vintage Omega breaks, that’s it. It’s over. You will never get another one like it,” he said. “You are going to remember the drinks and the dates and the arguments you had in it. You are going to be sad that you lost it.”
Then, there is the sheer volume and variety on offer, with supply constantly flowing out of people’s drawers.
“If you went into an IWC boutique, they may have 50, 60, 70, 80 watches to choose from,” Govberg said. “But in the preowned space of IWC, you may have 900 watches to choose from.”
But the bottom line is that a preowned luxury watch in great condition is usually a third of the price of a new one.
“For someone that is collecting, for someone that’s trying various pieces, is a natural fit,” said Paul Bragan, a watch collector and senior partner at market research firm Wakefield Research, based in Arlington, Virginia.
Bragan spent hours quizzing Zeron online before taking the plunge with his first vintage watch purchase: a 1978 Rolex Datejust, which the Theo&Harris founder personally delivered during a trip to the Washington, D.C., area. It was the start of a friendship, and many more purchases for Bragan.
“There’s a trade-in value proposition with preowned watches much like the car industry,” said Brack, of NDP.
Watch executives often say their business is like the car industry — only better.
“In the car business, you have about 15 years on a car,” Govberg said. “Watches are meant to last 100 years.”
