Canon from the books trilogy (spoilers duh) (shot out to my friend Clei for getting me the books)

1) When Daphne makes Velma accidentally admit she has a crush on Fred and her reaction is just 'Damn Velma I didn't know you were so traditional'

2) When they dance together in Shaggy's house in the second book

3) Fred shamelessly flirting by touching her hair at school and Velms' almost heart attack.

4) Really, Velma's pining in the books is delicious.

5) The almost kiss in the third book.

6) When Fred almost dies in that fire and Velma just starts to cry out of pure relief when she sees him alive

7) Fred telling the journalists next thing he's doing is asking 'the girl he likes' out when he leaves hospital.

8) Their last scene together at the end. Which lives rent free on my head. I even wrote a little continuation/expansion of that scene in a drabble.

(Overall, the books aren't perfect. The focus is Daphne and Velma's friendship and that means too little focus on Shaggy and Freddie. But it was absolutely worth it. It was like the best Frelma fanfic but actually canon in its verse. Clinging to those books forever)

Honorific mentions of other versions: the "DORKY CHICKS LIKE YOU TURN ME ON TOO" line in the live action (lmfao) (Linda Cardellini and Freddie Prinze's chemistry was awesome), Fred going all the way to show her he appreciates everything she does in Be Cool Scooby Doo, and their scenes together in The Mystery Begins. Also every moment they share the screen in 'Mystery Incorporated: Welcome to Coolsville'. That version of the characters was the best one in recent years.

Headcanons now:

1) Has anyone watched that animated short horror video parodying the totally awful Velma show? The one with eldritch monster Scooby? Yeah they're together the next time Scooby reboots reality. Both of them are aware of what's going on and try to scape the time loop (confusing if you don't know the story of the video 'Velma Meets The Original Velma' on YouTube, plz watch it)

2) Moving on to greener grasses, eventually they have twin boys, Ricky and Roger (named after Fred and Shaggy). Obviously Daphne and Shaggy are the godparents.

3) Shaggy let's them adopt 3 puppies from the Doo family years in the future.

4) Scrappy lived with them for some time. Velma was the only one who could boss him around. Fred spoiled him.

5) Velma sends him food to his work out of nowhere because sometimes she's sure he's forgotten to eat. He does the same plus flowers. Both of them are right: they forget to have dinner. Shaggy never shuts up about it.

6) (I usually go with Archeologist!Fred and Astronomer!Velms. They travel a lot) (The kids are homeschooled until they can leave for a boarding school)

7) Ricky and Roger are mama boys

8) Fred does the taxes. Velms always forgets.

9) Shaggy is a chef (duh) and Daphne a private detective and they're never too far away. Their kid is a little older than the twins but they hang out a lot. Sometimes Velma refers to Daphne as 'her sister' so the boys don't figure out Daphne isn't their 'actual aunt' until they're older.

10) Velma has a photo of him on her wallet. Fred is the little spoon.

Two Magic Dorks

I have two statblocks for you: A simplified magic missile-themed mage and a simplified ice-themed cleric.

These were both inspired by me wanting to be lazy while restructuring the Rime of the Frostmaiden to end it early (pre-Caves of Hunger), so I wanted some memorable creatures other than the "20 Cult Fanatics" that the tiefling Avarice has as minions. I wasn't about to keep track of 20 spiritual weapons and who has who's Shield of Faith across a massive matrix of spell slots. Instead, I made these guys that basically do the same thing without needing to strategize.

Like the Cult Fanatic, the Stygian Cultist has a bonus action attack (spiritual weapon), they have 3/day inflict wounds, and 1/day "hold person" reflavored as an ice cube. Sure, they are missing out on upcasting Command, but I can live without it. These are minions, after all, not commanders. Then I added a fun gamified mechanic that rewards players for moving or pushing enemies: they gain a huge AC boost near ice blocks, and thankfully, they both entomb players in ice and turn into ice themselves when they die! Be careful not to seal yourself in a hallway by killing too many cultists!

Meanwhile the Brotherhood Mage is a similar situation. I took a spellcaster, chose a spell as their main action to focus on, then gave them a 1/day "ultimate" ability that combines some effects of their best spells (lightning bolt and dispel magic), made sure they had a useful reaction or bonus action, and then added the twist of marking their target for double damage!

Dark Devotion. The cultist has advantage on saving throws against being charmed or frightened.

Icy Doom. The cultist turns into a block of ice for 9 days when they die.

Stygian Shield. As long as the cultist is adjacent to a creature petrified or restrained by ice, the cultist gains +5 to their AC.

Actions

Chill Touch. Ranged Spell Attack: +4 to hit, range 60 ft., one target. Hit: 9 (2d8) necrotic damage. The target can't regain hit points until the start of the cultist's next turn.

Inflict Wounds (3/day). Melee Spell Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 16 (3d10) necrotic damage.

Ice Tomb (1/day). One creature within 60 feet of the cultist that it can see must make a DC 12 Charisma saving throw or become petrified in a block of ice for 1 minute. The creature is freed early if they take 10 or more fire damage. On a successful save, the creature instead takes 2d8 cold damage instead.

Bonus Actions

Frost Spike. Ranged Spell Attack: +4 to hit, range 30 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (1d8+2) cold damage.

Charges (7). The mage has 7 Charges that fuel their abilities. These replenish whenever they complete a long rest.

Actions

Mage Spark. Ranged Spell Attack: +5 to hit, range 60 ft., one target. Hit: 5 (2d6) lightning damage. On a hit, the target becomes vulnerable to force damage until the end of the mage's next turn.

Magic Missiles (1 Charge). The mage chooses 3 target creatures within 120 feet that they can see. They can choose the same target multiple times. Each target takes 3 (1d4 + 1) force damage. They can spend 1 additional charge to choose one bonus target.

Arcane Disjunction (1/Day). One creature within 60 feet of the mage must make a DC 13 Constitution saving throw or take 28 (8d6) lightning damage and end all beneficial spells of 3rd-level or lower affecting them. On a success, they take half this damage and suffer no other effects.

Reactions

Abjuring Shield (1 Charge). When targeted by an attack or a Magic Missile spell, the mage can use its reaction to gain +5 to its AC and negate all Magic Missiles targeting them until the start of its next turn. The mage then gains 10 temporary hit points.

RMC Writing Drabble

I was writing for the Rigor Mortis Chronicles bc I got some amazing ideas that I absolutely had to write down.

All you need to know is that involves two people:

Renevier: The Death of Justice, The winged Death’s feathers bear a special toxin that if utilized as a poison dart, can put one to sleep permanently. Fine-tuned hearing, but shouting hurts his ears. Cunning as hell, spells can't do shit to him (unless high-powered), very convincing, and can sense when something happened. His role is to reap the souls of those who fell to injustice, as well as to inflict justice in the victims’ names.

Miranda: The Death of _-_-_-_-_-_-_-_ Deception, fucking liar. She was originally created to simply reap those who fell to manipulation of the vile, but her current role was to simply cause problems for living beings. Something something, corruption.

When the youngest of the children reached the proper age, which is the Deaths’ equivalent of a six-year-old, they each were shown objects of which held their own roles. They had to choose their roles.

“The Rope of Justice,” said Renevier, “It’s only fitting, since I am the eldest. I will ensure they are safe.”

“Can I have the Brooch?” Kristen asked. She chose the brooch of parenthood, “I want to help Rene.”

“Are you sure? I can shoulder the burden, it’s not a big deal.”

“I’ll fight for my siblings!” Helkoiie proclaimed. He chose the Belt of Valor, “Rene can’t do everything by himself, y’know!”

“Hey!”

“I’ll choose the sash,” Möricaft shrugged, choosing the Sash of the Earth “It’s only natural that I want to make sure everyone is fed.”

“Oh, yeah, I agree! And I’ll make sure to make stuff for you guys too!” Kristen added.

“Ooh, a butterfly!” Roceniä noticed. She chose the Butterfly of Neutrality, “Look at it!”

“I see that. Well, I’ll take the feather pins,” Shadonna rolled her eyes, choosing the Feather Pin of Resilience, “Least it looks cool.”

“I guess I’ll take this…” Jchessnek picked up the Mirror of Truth, “Oh man, I’m ugly.”

“Jchessie, you’re not ugly, it’s just your imagination,” Renevier sighed.

“Look at all the snakes though…”

“I’ve seen this olive branch crown before,” Sara gasped, picking up the Olive Crown of Memory, “Oh- no, it’s a different crown, my other crown got destroyed. Whoops- I forgot about that.”

“Yeah, and guess who was the one who broke it,” Ender winced as she held up a bandaged foot, “It still hurts.”

“You are such fools,” Sonze sighed.

He picked up the Lantern of Light, finding it quite heavy.

“Why is this heavy?” Sonze commented.

“It cannot be heavy!” Renevier said in disbelief.

“Hold it.”

Renevier held the lantern, finding it to be rather weighted. It wasn’t overwhelmingly heavy, but it was still weighted.

“Hm, it seems it is weighted,” Renevier noted as he handed the lantern back to Sonze.

“Oh lookie here!” Regúl impulsively called out, picking up the Medallion of Voyage, “Shiny thing.”

“You dumb crow-minded goofball,” Ender chuckled, “I’ll take this funny looking chain before you can snatch it!”

Ender picked the Chain of Creation, which allows her to create life without a price.

“Alright, I’ll take the hair clip,” Miranda suggested. She chose the clip of M-a-t-u-r-i-t-y             Deception, “It’s not much.”

Suddenly, Miranda felt that she could hear some sort of voice, one that reached into the inner reaches of her soul taking hold. Renevier was the only one who noticed this shift in behavior. 

When their siblings left the room, Renevier went up to Miranda, concern on his face.

“Miranda? Is… Is everything alright?” Renevier asked.

Miranda looked at him with a blank stare.

“Miranda?”

Miranda shoved Renevier, who fell onto the ground. His eye shot wide open as Miranda stepped closer to her.

“MIRANDA?!” Renevier asked, “WHAT’S WRONG?! PLEASE!”

“You’re nothing without me,” she scoffed.

“Miranda! What- This isn’t you!”

“As I thought, you’re too naive.”

“Miranda, please!”

“SHUT UP!” She slapped Renevier.

Renevier could not form any words. The Miranda he knew was no more, his newfound increased sense of justice sensed malice, and he could see it seething from her. For the first time in his life, Renevier had experienced fear. His heart raced as Miranda stared down at him.

“Miranda! Please!” he pleaded.

“I told you to shut up!”

“No- wait!” he was slapped, “Hurt me all you like!”

“Excuse me?”

“Hurt me until you feel satisfied, but please!” he pleaded, tears flowing from his eyes, voice wavering, “Do not hurt them! Please…”

Miranda simply glared at him. However, he agreed, so long as he didn’t run his mouth. He agreed, throwing aside his childhood for his siblings.

As time went on, Miranda fell deeper into corruption, corrupt to the point of harming her brother constantly. Renevier, whose nature is selfless, had long chosen to take the impacts of her punches, the stings of the slaps, and the bites of her lashes. He allowed the injustice to be done upon himself, all to allow his siblings to live a blissful life without knowing what Miranda had done to him under the guise that he was fighting demons.

Of course, wounds, bruises, and tears could only be pinned as demons flooding their sanctuary and putting up a fight, when in truth, the real demon being their own eldest sister. However, that was a secret that Renevier would never divulge to his siblings, for they deserved their childhoods, and never deserved the life he suffered.

I decided to make it hurt. I initially was gonna make it where Rene and Miranda were never close, but I decided that I was gonna make it hurt worse.

I'd love constructive criticism on how I portrayed the abuser-abused relationship here because I never grew up in an abusive environment.

With a scaredy cat s/o

When jumpscared they kneel and cover their face, they're tryna regain their calm please don't mind them

Even if the thing they're watching isn't in the horror genre they can still jump. It ain't their fault some characters suddenly appear or there's creepy noises playing in the bg

Shouts and jumps whenever a horror game is played, there isn't even a jumpscare yet- the whole vibe of the thing is scary! You think that every step your gonna take there's gonna be a jumpscare

One of s/o's favorite things to do is to know the lore of horror games, watches those lore videos with amazed eyes, not even a hint of fear in those eyes

Can explain the lore in a very detailed way, the lore's so messed up (*looks at FNAF and maybe also dark deception*) it's a surprise that s/o even likes watching it

Also one of s/o's favorite thing to watch is true crime documentary, the way the investigation goes is so interesting they can't stop watching

There's some pretty gruesome deaths there and there but the whole thing is still very fascinating

Would thinks it's cute how easy they scare

That's why he's taken back by those lore videos but he is interested in them

S/O got him into Matpat and they regret it

He would question his every theory and find a the gaps, would write a very long comment explaining it

S/O gets second hand embarrassed

It's kinda better with true documentaries

He still complains, especially towards police work, but it's fun trying for him to guess who killed

Isn't sure why they're with him to be honest

Would put a hand on their shoulder to assure they're okay, he is numb to it; doesn't get how they got scarred for no horror jumpscares

He however understands if it's about atmosphere, this is what makes real fear

That's why he is suprised when he catches them watching videos on lore without being scared, he finds it interning would join

Loves listening to them talking about, in that moment he understands why they like him; just looks love struck

Might be even more interested in true crime videos, probably watches them together for a dinner

His little S/O can be a real suprise

He tells them no to worry and that he would protect them

Always hugging them when watching something together since they're scared do easily

When S/O told him they do like lore of horrors they're just to scared to watch horrors themselves he asked how they know the story then

S/O showed him one of videos explaining it, he thinks narrator does the good job but doesn't get what's the point if you’re no watching the story

Isn't that much into true crime of always give S/O sweets to eat while they watch

He isn't as scared as them on no horror stories but still hugs them

Wonders how they can watch videos on this type of stories but be too scared for real watch

He doesn't watch documentaries, nope , especially not crusome ones

cassie, i love you and i love your role in this story, but i'm on everyone else's side here. we are the span of a single breath away from total annihilation. we NEED to be okay with morphing humans. i think the book is trying to make the point that cassie is ultimately correct but i'm sorry!!! call me a rachel!! we need to make the least bad choice here!

this other visser is such a dork. like, visser three is ridiculous, but he's scary. this guy is, if you'll forgive the parlance, cringe.

it's kind of strange that the yeerks want to intentionally cause World War III and knowingly deplete the population of earth. wasn't the 5+ billion population one of the biggest selling points at the time? maybe Earth is just so well-populated that it's all gravy if you get past 1 billion?

i don't think it's particularly realistic but i did think it was funny that a few of the people on the ship volunteered to be morphed, then fainted in shock, lol. like, i have questions about why they accepted this all so readily but the humor outweighed it. 

this one got confusing for me too - i had to rewind a few times. but let me tell you i did NOT miss ax defying and knocking out jake, holy shit. 

i think the craziest part for me was seeing rachel genuinely speechless at his actions. you know you went too far when xena has nothing to say. 

wow. this was incredibly dark. a solid one, though it has the misfortune of being after the last book, which was fantastic, so it just can't shine that much in comparison. i also thought it ended way too soon! i was hoping that we'd pick up right afterwards to deal with the ax betrayal fallout, like this book picked up right after 45, but that doesn't seem to be the case. 

i have to say i feel like we didn't have many Ax-y moments for his second-to-last book :(

Why did you choose your url?

Because one of my favorite fictional characters is M’Quve from Mobile Suit Gundam. I was crazy obsessed with him for several years (I've had fictional character hyperfixations my whole life). I’m not so embarrassingly fixated on him anymore but I still love him, of course! I added “cc” for my Sims 2 custom content blog.

BTW, if anyone unfamiliar with Gundam is wondering how M’Quve is pronounced, it’s muh-KOO-vay.

I don’t use the queue - I’m a dork who’s on my computer all day so I just save drafts and post them sporadically. When I did briefly use it the tag was “m’queuve” 😆

Why did you start your blog in the first place?

To post about M’Quve and find other Gundam fans. Unfortunately the fandom (for the original Gundam from 1979) has fallen off the face of Tumblr. I just post other stuff I like and character aesthetics on my main now. I started my Simblr shortly after I started making CC because I discovered the TS2 community here.

Why did you choose your icon/pfp?

Another character hyperfixation. It’s Laegrinna, the protagonist of Deception IV: Blood Ties (Kagero: Dark Side Princess). I also play characters from that game in TS2, so sim!Laegrinna is my pfp for mrs-mquve-cc.

Why did you choose your header?

Because I took a sexy picture of sim!Laegrinna and I loved it. My Simblr header is her and Zeno Shin, they are my OTP.

What’s your post with the most notes?

Hoo boy. A silly post years ago about a Char Aznable vibrator I found browsing Japanese Gundam sites. I blocked notifications because I was still getting them 8 years later. I’ve since deleted all posts pre-2015 because my god was I cringy back then. Currently it’s a gif I made with PicMix of Tuvok from Star Trek: Voyager. I don’t know which post on my Simblr has the most notes.

I’m too lazy to count. I do know that most of them for my main are inactive.

Uh... yeah, when I first joined. They won when they sent me a kind of threatening ask and I dropped it. I was more outspoken and generally cringy back then. I shared a lot of TMI. I feel like getting older has made me more careful and reserved.

How do you feel about ‘you need to reblog this’ posts?

I hate them. Nobody’s obligated to reblog anything. Tumblr’s not just for activism, people can post whatever the hell they want.

Yes, they’re a lot of fun!

OK everyone Yvette season 5 final make me really cry but don't worry! I will resume writing about the misadventures of my favorite anti-heroic / Byronic heroines couple: Yvette + MC = 4ever in 7 June with Yvette Season 6.

So I want try to an experiment with a character spotlight and I'll start with my favourite MC

Sin With Me(MC).

1)Who she is?

The only daughter of Joyce and Kevin. Her father was an archeologist and her mother ran a bicycle rental shop. Her love for bikes made her want to ride competitively. One day during her competition, her father never showed up which upset her. She lost focus and crashed. She developed stage fright from this incident. Her father was becoming more and more absent and as MC was entering middle school, her father left them leaving her mom to take care of her alone. She helped run the bicycle shop alongside her mom. One day when she was down, her mother gave her a bike hacksaw to protect herself from the crazy people of Vegas which cheered her up. It's one of her favorite possessions. Her mother also kept her away from gambling. She didn't have many friends growing up but her favorite place to hangout was the skatepark where she did tricks. She was pushed by her mother to become a doctor as it's stable,she's good at it and she always wish a way to help people in need and becoming a med felt the best way to do so), though MC did not enjoy it or feel it was for her or grown disillusioned and disenchanted🥲 by the medical university and the environment(people tear each throat for piece of paper instead to help each other and anyone in need)and many other reasons that if I list them I'll finish next year 😂 and dropped out of med school. She recently returned home though she feels very insecure about dropping out since she is now directionless,frustrated,bored and unsure about her future...what happen to her well depend by the Love Interest you choice .

What i love about this MC:

1)Her ability to take decision and in general being an Active Protagonist Instead of being a passive spectator or a powerless one.

So no matter how crazy/scary things will get ready to see her be a badass for this and the below reasons!

2)Her bravery is incredible why?

End world demons?

Multiuniversal destroyer seer?

Ancient evils ?

and anything insane in her way? It doesn't matter she will be the knight in shining armor for her Love interest and while she can be reckless sometime in the end she is a true heroine(or anti-heroine on Yvette Holte route).

(By the way the answer is yes!)

3)Her Kindness and unconditional accepetance of her LI once MC gets the whole picture of what's going on she will never forsaken or leave behind their Love Interest be it.

A Byronic heroine/Anti-heroine broken by betrayal,deception of her former friends,having your ideal jaded out by difficult life(Yvette) easy for you Wrath and co.😡!(don't misunderstand here everyone are right and wrong on equal misure but Yvette and the deadly sin .. They got the worst part of the whole deal of being a sin assassin...they never ask to be one for that matter and yet she never forsaken her duty!)

A Woman forced to everything she love fall apart for a small lapse of judgement(being a woman in love and former LI was Vuzgamad possesed woman which harmed Yvette since she felt she was unwittingly dating her abuser and Wrath was unable to date until MC for this😱) and see some of her family burn! MC don't see her murder but someone depressed crushed and annihilated by her errors and unable to move on.

4)She's true to herself!

Be it a huge dork,sweet,adorkable badass (and on Yvette route unafraid to face and embrace her dark side to be Yvette while never forsake her goodness and light)like us and ONE THIRSTY WOMAN🤤!

Can you blame her 🤣?

5)She's not a static MC and grows alongside them be a good badass woman on the night of circus route(Wrath,Darius,etc...) Or a Dark good badass woman on Yvette route!
