Okay, so we’ve reached the end of the line. I posted everything I’d written back in 2017 before I lost motivation and stopped writing this story. So, now it’s time for the story to continue. I won’t lie; I’m nervous, hoping that I can recapture the feel of the original chapters. But, I want more than anything to be able to write the last sentence and the words “the end.”

Can I just say fuck the Oracle Statue in Jak 2? I know that gameplay wise, you need to exchange something to level up Dark Jak's abilities which is the Metal Head Gems. But removing that game aspect just makes the Oracle a huge pretentious dick in my opinion.

Daxter got off scot-free with Dark Eco as it only turned him into an ottsel. Jak has a dark alter ego he's struggling to control cause not even 5 seconds after Dax showed up did he go Dark Jak for the first time. Then immediately turning again when the KG attacked once they escaped the prison.

Even the Oracle said that the Dark Eco in Jak's system could potentially destroy him from the inside without proper training. Unless there's something in those Skull Gems which can help the greenish blonde channel the dark energy better, then it just feels scummy.

Doesn't help that there are four different Dark Powers, Dark Blast, Dark Bomb, Dark Invincibility and Dark Giant which range from 25 to over 200 Skull Gems in price. Getting all of these in game can be considered salvation as Jak has gotten a better understanding of these powers.

Am I saying that the Oracle should've unlocked all these abilities? No. Considering this is Jak, he just discovers them on his own. Dark Jak can be considered his primal instincts than just unfiltered rage and hate.

Gaining a new power could come naturally whether through an innate feeling or emotions. If this happens then seeing the Oracle for info would be much better in my opinion. There's a time, place and reason for trials. Circumstances however can be more important than you think.

Dark Lightning 🌑⚡

Different from regular lightnings, dark lightnings are caused by high energy electrons during thunderstorms, colliding with surrounding air molecules, resulting in the release of gamma rays. A negative energy, build up of an unnatural electricity source when it is about to strike creates a magnetic field and charges up electrons that causes everything in the surroundings to float upwards.

Her electric powers uncontrollably unleashes when negative emotions like agony or anger gets the better of her. Her emotions have an impact on her energy, too much of negative emotions causes her electricity to turn to dark lightnings. During this transformation, her quills are upturned and even more bent like lightnings, her white fur and her electricity color turns black. Her eyes becomes blank and due the reverse gravity her tears float upwards.

Lightning's rage and grief are out of control and she has even gained the intention to kill. However, she can still control her actions to an extent, as this form is rooted in the darker aspects of Lightning's natural instincts, including the desire to live, trample and impose over opposition, and on a metaphysical level, the natural occurrence and manifestation of loss, decline, destruction and death. Lightning's Dark status ends either when she stops crying or faints. Up to now, Amy was the only one who was able to restore Lightning back to her normal state. Despite the danger to get hurt, Amy hugged Lightning and managed to make her tears stop.
