Where has all the time gone?!

May I officially present DarkStarTale's main characters, Frisk & Chara (aka Miora & Kali), in their outcode outfits.

DarkStarTale was originally a concept created in December 2015. I am proud to announce that DST, ExcisionTale and Pacetale will be an animated series and is already in the works. Yay

Fun facts:

The lineart is actually 2 years old and I just coloured them recently.

If you invert either of the girls, you'll find they share an inverted colour scheme.

Miora went through 12 redesigns in total, Kali went through 3.

Miora

Age: 16 (Frisk form), 18 (Outcode)

Height: 3ft 8 (Frisk form), 5ft 6 (Outcode)

Soul Trait: Integrity masked by Determination (Original), 4 Parts Original, 1 Shard each soul trait of the other 6 (After Events)

Weapon of Choice : Scythe (forged from her stick)

After the events of DST, Miora is an outcode living in her Library, she's often found reading or carrying out maintenance of the multiverse with her brothers, Ace and Blink, and companion, Exit. She's a gentle person who's always willing to help.

[DST!Chara]

Kali

Age: 18 (Chara Form), 22 (Outcode)

Height: 3ft 9 (Chara Form), 5ft 10 (Outcode)

Soul Trait: Determination (Original, 9 Shards Determination, 1 Shard Miora's Integrity

Weapon of Choice : Knives

After the events of DST, Kali is an outcode living in Miora's Library but often found causing trouble in the multiverse. Kali actively deletes savepoints in other AUs out of envy. She is a stubborn soul with a quick temper at times and contradictory. Ace and Blink have a hard time figuring out her protectiveness over Frisk.

Extra Info :

Karma Awakening - When Miora and Kali's intentions align, they can fuse into Karma and use their option REWRITE.

Taken Over - Miora can call for the other souls for help. When they take over, their soul trait reflects in her eyes which switch into a HOLLOW state.

After the events of their AU, Astrono resides in Miora's library as a guardian of it while she's away.

His artificial patience has run dry and is now devoid of emotion, taking away his expressiveness. This doesn't stop Astrono from making his goal to protect both Frisk and Chara from the dangers that lie ahead.

Astrono's main colour palette is purple, the colour between Miora and Kali's designs.

After the events of his AU, Astrono's artificial patience runs dry and becomes devoid in. Despite his difficulties, his goal to protect the girls from inside and outside threats doesn't waiver.

So uh, while I work on the concept art for backgrounds and scenery,

I published the written version. well, what i had so far. I tend to write things up at nighttime when I can't do art stuff so this will be the fastest way to reveal DST's full storyline.

Still, not gonna stop me from making this a fullscale project with animation and music. If you have questions about it please send them in here.

DarkStarTale Overview

Whoa. It's 2022. Crazy to think this was a concept from 2015 and I'm finally creating it. It's been a long art journey. Anyway, here's the overview

[Long ago, Humans and Monsters co-existed but after a strange event, our worlds drifted apart. No one crosses the mirror anymore - they say it's a one way journey. No one has ever dared break it either yet I'm curious. Curious enough to try.]

Woooo! Kinda forgot I had tumblr for a while.

For those who’re still following this blog please be aware of the following!

This blog is now an Personal, Art Account. I’ll be doing character design, comics and a bit of creative writing. I’ll be focused on Undertale, Genshin and my own personal projects.

I’m also flying solo once again. My partner in creativity passed away September 2019 after several years of being on the verge of death. On that note, this is partially why this blog has been inactive since 2017/18ish. For those of you who caught glimpses of Darkstartale, DST!Chara (Kali) was designed (and redesigned) by Zera completely.
