Having a painful-as-hell period in a house full of Darksiders would be kinda hilarious.

Just imagine that; War cradling you in his arms, his silver eyebrows knitted with worry. He carefully put his good hand on your abdomen, because you told him that heat helps with the cramps a bit.

Death is beside himself, because he’s never seen you in so much pain before. Not even when a demon got you and you bled. He has no idea what to do whatsoever, so he made you tea. If you weren’t in such a pitiful state, you would surely tell him how delicious the tea is.

The Four gather around you, eyes glinting with anxiety, lips pressed.

“How do we make it stop?” Strife asks.

“A dose of Tramadol would do the trick” you gasp “but it’s not an over the counter drug, so you guys would have to, I dunno...pull a gun on some pharmacist?...” It’s a weak ass attempt at humour, but you can’t help it.

You feel as if your intestines have been pierced with a stake.

Cue the well-known, metallic sound of two cylinders being rolled in perfect unison.

“I’m gonna pull two guns on some pharmacist” announces Strife rather matter-of-factly and turns towards the door.

“ I’ll go with him” says Fury quietly, yet decisively.

“What?”

“What?...” your pain-addled brain can’t process information properly.

Her shapely fingers flex around the whip’s handle. “In case that two guns won’t be enough.”

Portfolio #3 : let there be more live  (2)!

Hier soir ton serviteur est allé voir un groupe de reprises de Pink Floyd au Théâtre des Arcades de Buc. Le groupe s’appelle The Darskide et je t’invite à jeter un oeil sur leur site internet.

Arrivé très tôt avec mes deux comparses ovésiens, j’étais idéalement placé aux premiers rangs pour profiter du spectacle et prendre des photos. En me retournant pour regarder l’assistance, je me suis rendu compte que les EPHAD de Buc et de Jouy avaient envoyé leurs pensionnaires les plus vaillants, sous le haut patronnage des audioprothésistes locaux qui devaient se frotter les mains en pensant à tous les sonotones qu’ils allaient pouvoir vendre dès lundi.

Le spectacle du soir a été plus qu’honnête pour un groupe semi-pro ou amateur. Le chanteur, un clone de Jacques Higelin, a fait ce qu’il pouvait pour égaler Gilmour mais manquait furieusement de puissance. En revanche les trois choristes derrière lui étaient parfaites, mention spéciale à Joëlle Savinien pour son interprétation impressionnante de The Great Gig in the Sky (et malgré les yeah yeah yeaaaaah qui semblent être devenus la règle sur ce morceau). Le lead guitar et le claviériste ont également fait très forte impression. Reste une batterie beaucoup trop forte et un saxo sympa mais qui a eu tendance à un peu trop surjouer sur Us and Them. Bref sans atteindre des sommets, les deux heures de concert furent un moment bien agréable !

S’agissant des photos, j’étais armé de mon Lumix FZ200. Prises de vue laborieuses jusqu’à ce que j’aie la bonne idée de passer en mode 16/9, et là, ça fait toute la différence. Il faudra que je m’en souvienne pour la prochaine fois. Enjoy;)

One thing I love to do with games that are even remotely similar is imagine what it’d be like if suddenly, player characters or npc’s from game 2 showed up in game 1. Or what would have to happen for the established cities/life styles/etc. of game 2 to naturally start appearing in game 1′s setting. Especially with games that I’m into.

One example I’ve been toying in my head is- because Darksiders 3 is set in a post-apocalyptic Earth and Borderlands is set on an apocalyptic planet- what if the society of Borderlands was a thing in Darskiders after the apocalypse happened and humans had to find ways to survive the literally Hell that broke loose (despite the Darksiders apocalypse happening in 2010, I think, and Borderlands being in the far future). 

Yeah the tech in Borderlands is waaay more advanced, but there are places and characters who use literal scrap and basic explosives to make ridiculously powerful weapons and vehicles. So imagine ingenuity like that from a race known by Heaven and Hell for being “clever”, used to fight literal demons and angels. And actually doing damage!

Another idea is Warframes just coming in through the Void and showing up in either of the other two games I already mentioned. Though in this case I mostly toy with people’s reactions to them just suddenly appearing out of the blue like ‘Hey, we’re here. Heard somebody was pulling some BS? If you pay me I can deal with that for you *wink* *wink* ‘
