▶ Extracted Asset Drive Folder

Recently finished my first DAV playthrough and wanted to get my hands into the files 🤚 so just like I did with CP77, I put up little google drive folder with extracted assets! Made possible thanks to the Frostbite Modding Tool ◀

OBVIOUS Spoiler warning - I don't recommend looking at the files until you're done with the game's main story!

I wasn't able to grab everything just yet as the majority of assets aren't fully accessible yet (corrupted/missing data). Expect some extracted assets to have some artifacts as well!

But you can already find:

HUD elements

Codex entries's full art

CC, Map, Journal Icons

...and more!

Every elements has been sorted in folders for an (hopefully) easy browsing - I'll try to keep this drive updated :3

Giving your Rook a custom name for the subtitles in 5 minutes - A modding tutorial

The tutorial is also available on Nexusmods as a PDF-file, and as a Google Doc.

Hidden under the read more for length, but it's actually super easy! Anyone can do it following instructions, I promise!

The guide assumes you’ve already installed Frosty Mod Editor, so I won’t be covering its basic set-up. If it’s your first time using the Editor, please refer to this guide by Gabbet. Gabbet's guide may look somewhat intimidating, but to prepare for my tutorial, you’ll only need its “Frosty Editor Download & Installation” section.

Open the Mod Editor and navigate to View >> Localized String Editor

2. Once you open the Localized String Editor, click on the leftmost column inside it, input the following string ID: "0002F709" (without the "") and press Enter. It should display one search result that says “Rook”. 

3. Click on the line in the search results to make it appear in the column to the right. There, erase “Rook” and type in your custom name using your keyboard. In this tutorial, I’m using “Ghilasara” as an example. 

4. Once you finish typing your custom name, click “Update” to save the result.

That will refresh the line’s contents in the search results.

You’ve made all the necessary edits, and your mod is now ready to be exported :) 

5. In the Editor’s main window, click on File > Export to Mod

Feel free to fill in the contents of the pop-up window as you see fit. Note that the first line, “Title” will be the name under which your mod displays in the Mod Manager. I named mine “Rook to Ghilsara” to make it easy to find in case I need to remove it or turn it off. 

And, that’s that! All you have left to do is to import your mod into the Mod Manager.

Faction Fatigues

hello hello, i've made another recolor!

you can get it here on nexus :)

it doesn't modify anything other than the texture file, so it should be compatible with other recolors and whatnot (if you use another mod that modifies this specific texture [such as the boring wardens mod] you can override it by placing this mod under that one in your mod order)

Sensible part of brain: the armor only shows a bit of chest, if you really want to do scars and tattoos for it, that's all you need...

Autism part of brain: *HISSSSSSS* WE WON'T REST UNTIL EVERY TINY SCAR ON THE REMOTEST BODY PARTS ARE ALLOCATED. WHAT DOES "NEEDING" IT HAVE TO DO WITH IT, THIS IS ZEVRAN'S BODY?!?!

im trying to play veilguard with mods on frosty but when i try to add the application to my mod manager i get this message. anyone have a fix?

Solas Immersive Swap

- is a companion swap mod for DAtV. I'm posting it per request and due to popular demand (which is crazy to me, thank you).

The main idea was to bring back his Inquisition closet + last moment addition, his tarot card look. Other costumes were added for variety.

The main swap is for Emmrich because he's the only companion carrying staff. There's also 'All in One' version which includes partial swaps for Davrin and Lucanis to make use of their cutscenes.

Please check 'Read Me' file in the mod folder for bundles and any additional info.

🟣Appearances Unlocker

Unlock all of the transmog appearances and armors for both Rooks and Companions via the N7 Day Chest in the Lighthouse!

Opening it will unlock all of Rook's transmog appearances (armor, casual, helmet, weapons for all classes...) The "Rook" version does not unlock any of the companions's appearances; it also does not unlock any of Rook's appearances tied to the story and/or quest I'm working on more versions atm and will add them soon!

(The N7 Day chest is available next to the Caretaker, in the lighthouse)

Masculine Casual Outfits For All - Mod

As I mentioned in one of the recent useless facts, all casual outfits have Masculine and Feminine models that are applied depending on the body type you chose in the character creation. This mod removes the Feminine alternate appearances from the game, making all Rooks wear the masculine versions of the outfits.
