I had the MOST FUN playing around with all his contagious pizzazz and putting a little of my own vision into it this time around! How about it, isn't Roy eye candy? I’ve been admiring Mage’s stellar work ever since I first discovered their project, Dream Along With Me, so I’m very glad to have been able to join their DTIYS (as my very first time participating in one! 🎉) and be a part of this well deserved celebration on time… It’s been a fun rush to draw their Roy! :oD

And to Mage; my sincerest congratulations on the inspiring quality of your content and everything you’ve accomplished so far! Whether it is starry dreams or static nightmares, I’ll certainly be looking forward to discovering what the lands of Dreamalong have in store for us viewers! 👁️✨

"What was that all about?"

A redraw of an important history in Muppets. I thought it would be funny if I put Roy G. Biv in place of Leo, a.k.a. the dude who tried pitching the Muppets Show to CBS and other networks.

Considering that Meiser IS a Jim Henson alumni, it would make sense to redraw this pivotal moment from 1975, haha. And yes, that's Shanti's profile picture (hello @shantimochi) and Meiser themselves, in the background behind Roy.

The main character, Archie, looks like Wally. Mae Flowers is very similar to Julie as they’re both rainbow creatures associated with flowers.

it also doesn’t help that the creator gives out too many hints of the story and on the nose with it. Aswell as revealing key plot points instead of having it unravel in the show, ruining the mystery by basically telling us it!

They revealed there’a going to be 4 main villains and confirmed in their Instagram stories that the main big bad guy is Roy, Teddy and Oddery are Ex-lovers, Teddy and Roy working together, Teddy worked at her family’s Marinette Theatre working as an assistant, Teddy getting into occult because he wanted to bring back Oddery who died in a fire and the body she’s inhabiting is an Marinette puppet he saved from the fire to use as a new vessel for her, and even revealing the reason why DAWM was canceled because some of the key crew members went missing because they ended up in dream along when falling asleep by watching Roy’s show, who uses his broadcast to hypnotize others and turning them into the characters including rewriting their memories in return for their skin. Basically revealed Roy is a demon, etc.

Another thing is the Ko-Fi. No updates regarding the pilot’s progress. No seek peeks. No concept art. No clips, rough art, etc. We have no information apart from unrelated illustrations and little animations….that’s it! We haven’t seen any progress apart from unrelated artworks and small animations irrelevant to the pilot. Yet they want people to pay 10 a month for a pilot with nothing to show for? Most inide projects at least show clips/voices, show progress, storyboards, etc and other things to show proof of concept before asking for money.

If the Characters from Dream along with me were to meet the gang from Welcome Home, who would you think would get along great or the best with who?

Oh this was fun to think about!! It'll be long... excuse the word wall!

I think Archie would get along best with Julie Joyful and Barnaby Beagle! Julie and Barnaby both have friendly, goofy, fun-loving energy that Archie enjoys being around :o) Earl, Mae, and Lunette would love these two hooligans as well for obvious reasons! I feel like their energies would bounce off each other a lot in a funny way!

Mae would have an appreciation for Sally Starlet and Eddie Dear! Sally's bombastic theatre energy would draw Mae in and excite her! Eddie is relatable to her as the two are the apparent people-pleasers and Mae would sympathize a lot with his struggles. Mae would also be very drawn to Wally for reasons she can't explain, she just finds him charming and handsome :o) Poppy would also be a warm presence to her, and she'd view Poppy as an older sister/motherly figure to look up to.

Honeybell would hang out exclusively with Frank Frankly and they'd gossip with each other and share little theories about the friends around their neighborhoods HAHAHA! She'd also call Sally Starlet noisy to her face. (rude)😭 I think she'd also be drawn to Poppy's caring heart too!

Fiona would try to get on Howdy Pillar's good side to gain another client, honestly HAHA. I think she'd take Julie, Barns, and Wally on joyrides on her vespa, they'd all have a fun ole time (except Wally, who might not enjoy this) right up until she crashes it. She'd offer to deliver Poppy's baked goods to everyone around Home and Dreamalong (and give Mufflin a damn run for his money)

Teddy would try to flirt with Julie before getting an epic Frank smackdown. I don't think anybody from Home would like Teddy. 😂 Perhaps he'd be tolerated by Barnaby and Howdy (moreso frienemies with Howdy). He'd have a rivalry with Sally Starlet that's petty and stupid. He harbors a raging jealousy of Wally.

Mufflin and Bertie would absolutely not go near Howdy with a ten foot pole-- Bertie would probably get some underhanded insults from Howdy for being a slow speaker, and Mufflin is experienced enough to spot a jerk when he sees one 😭 Mufflin wouldn't know how to feel about Wally, torn between feeling off with him and wanting to comfort him.

Roy would find Howdy delightful and get into staring battles with Wally before breaking out into wild, unhinged laughter.

Will each DAWM episode be centered around a different character or will all the main cast be present for every episode?



I am hoping the main cast will be present for every episode (if it doesn't kill me and if it doesn't make my computer shmit itself haha!) but there are definitely arcs that focus on different members of the Dreamalong Gang that will push forward the main plot :o)

just had a DAY I started feeling sick and consequently unmotivated, but I've managed to balance resting enough and drawing as I could, I'm feeling better rn I REALLY wanted to draw and keep the works moving, so I'm feeling proud!! have one of the Roys that I've been working on, he's pissy..

You ever get so busy that you blink and 3 months go by? I feel like I haven't really gotten any kind of break since the turn of the new year... both good and bad (the fires... guh).

Will DAWM be fully animated or like half animated and half comic?

I'm so excited for it!

I'd love to explore different avenues of storytelling with this project! I think I'd like to present the main story in animated form, but would like to create games, comics, and zines for it. Maybe even do something with my website? I have a lot of ideas for these, but for now am focusing on the main project. :o)
