Characters
Tumblr media
Kindred, the Deathgod of the Soul
Protective and pure, the eldest among the Deathly Triad, Kindred, is the collector of souls. Her souls, each a unique orb of individuality, are returned to her in the grasp of her familiar wolves. Safeguarded in her realm by her loyal pack, each soul's fate ready to face judgment—another chance or eternal seclusion in the abyss. One with the universe, Kindred possesses a celestial ring, a physical manifestation of the cosmos that is forever in her possession. Her wolves, faithful companions, form a sacred fur coat around her form, a constant presence in her solemn duty.
Siblings - Mordekaiser, Aurelius Order - Eldest Alias - Kin, Wolfgang, Wolfie, Luna, Moonshine, Starlight, Starshine, Light, Soul Eater Familiar - Wolf Weakness - Hope
Tumblr media
Mordekaiser, the Deathgod of the Body
Rebellious and ruthless, the middle among the Deathly Triad, is the collector of bodies. The empty vessels of mortals past are swallowed whole by his monsters spawned from mythical dragons and demonic shadows. With full bellies, the phantom messengers pass through reflective portals, gently delivering and ensnaring the bodies in a mirrored realm. Lingering in the world of mortals, Mordekaiser shifts his appearance from one warm body to the next, but his eyes always remain an homage to fresh blood. Cloaked in black with a mischievous shadow and a golden crow tailing his every move.
Siblings - Kindred, Aurelius Order - Middle Alias - Morde, Mord, Kai, Bones, Handsome, Wings, Devilman, Puppet Master Familiar - Nightshade Weakness - Sex, drugs, and physical pain
Tumblr media
Aurelius, the Deathgod of the Mind
Callous and calculated, the youngest among the Deathly Triad, Aurelius, is the collector of minds. Within the labyrinthine corridors of consciousness, memories and emotions intertwine, their essence taking the form of a gilded brain and carried away by his loyal crows of gold. A scale of judgment weighs the mind, measuring the gap between what was and what could have been, based on mortal choices made. Draped in a veil of liquid gold from head to toe, Aurelius shields himself against the clinging thoughts. In his wake, he leaves behind vanishing trails of golden feathers, each one a spark that ignites new ideas and revelations.
Siblings - Kindred, Mordekaiser Order - Youngest Alias: Aurel, Rell, Rellie, Golden Boy, Goldie, Baby, Feathers, The Smart One Familiar - Crow Weakness - Money

Writing Season for Project : Death Comes in Threes
Week 1 + 2
September Week 1 was my first week back writing after a month off. I expected to jump back in, but found I just needed to use the week to find my feet again. Week 2 went significantly better, and the story feels more solid for moving into the second act.
Despite my difficult week one, I had a daily word count goal of 545, and I think I’ll take it as a wildly good sign that my word count for day 1 was exactly 545.
6000 words written across week 1+2, bringing the total on DCIT to almost 40,000 words.
I’ve managed to cordon off my weekends for art, so I have one full day off from writing. Almost finished one painting, and started on sketching out the second piece for my ‘beleaguered brigade’.
Identified some areas of historical research that might be interesting to look into again between draft one and two.
Reviewed some of my original notes for DCIT, and highlighted areas where my writing has strayed from my initial idea. Building on the original plot has helped to fill in a lot of plot issues, and I much prefer this version of the novel.
My notebook! I needed a notebook for collating all of the notes for DCIT, because they’ve been spread out over scraps of paper. I pinned my hopes on a local shop, walked in, and there was a notebook right in front of the doorway, with a cover illustration depicting a scene mirroring one in the novel. And it was £0.35p.
September reading : finished reading The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, and almost finished with A Tree Grows in Brooklyn. I’ve heard a lot of people really struggle with …Brooklyn, but it’s undoubtedly a 5* read for me, it’s beautiful.

Promoter shares within lock-in period not ‘quoted’ for gift tax purposes: what SC has ruled
Promoter shares within lock-in period not ‘quoted’ for gift tax purposes: what SC has ruled
Last week, while passing its order in the 30-year-old matter of BPL Ltd vs DCIT over gift tax in a share transaction, the Supreme Court ruled that shares within the lock-in-period are not ‘quoted shares’, and thus they need to be valued as ‘unquoted shares’ to determine the gift tax liability. The matter related to the transfer of shares of a listed company held as part of the promoter’s quota…

Dad switch au
Most fics have the light sides and dark sides living in different mindscapes/parts of the mindscape (?) and I was thinking. Let's imagine they get along (ish) but still live in different places. One day Dee is complaining how hard it is to take care of his dark sons (he includes Virgil because he sometimes visits) and Patton is like 'It can't be THAT bad. Dee raises an eyebrow and tells Patton that if he is SO sure, they can switch for a few days. Patton agrees.
Deceit arrives at the light mindscape and announces that Patton is gonna be absent for a little while. Do not bother him. Or me, for that matter. And proceeds to throw himself on the couch and take a well deserved nap.
Virgil shrugs, but Roman and Logan look at each other warily before nodding.
Later on, Roman pokes him and Deceit grumbles. What did I say about bothering me?? Roman pouts. Do you want to watch a movie?? Deceit sighs but agrees. Roman proceeds to show his choices and Dee makes a face at Moana, Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast and The little mermaid. Roman thinks he will change his mind until he says: I'm more of a Princess and the Frog or Lion King fan? Roman lights up like a Christmas tree and summons said movies plus Pinoccio.
They have a movie marathon with Roman acting out parts of the movies. Deceit enjoys a night without watching Remus reenacting the Saw movies or screeching like the ghost/demon on the tv. Instead he cuddles with Roman (who completely forgets his worries about Deceit).
The next morning Dee has breakfast ready, the others are a bit put off by not being asked what they wanted beforehand but it's whatever because Dee made pancakes.
In the evening Deceit and Logan get into a debate of sorts and are standing on opposite sides of the living room. Virgil and Roman are watching them as if it was a tennis match. Eating popcorn.
Virgil goes to visit Patton at the dark mindscape because he misses him, he accepts Roman's request of delivering a card to him to let Patton know he misses him too and Logan sends his regards.
Virgil steps into the dark sides living room and all he can see is chaos.
Depression is lying on the table, in a puddle of his own tears.
Anger is weirdly calmed, attention enraptured by a lava lantern.
But it's Patton running around trying to catch Remus that makes him falter. He watches as Patton gets a hold of his feet and drags him to a door he knows leads to the bathroom. Remus screeching like he's being killed at the time.
He hears Patton yell STAY before he comes out of the bathroom, panting. His clothes are a complete mess and hair dirty with god knows what. He looks up at Virgil.
'... Did you know Remy comes here sometimes?'
'uh, yes?'
'That makes five people to take care of. Five. I haven't figured out how to get Depression off the table. He's been there since I arrived. Just yesterday I could finally entertain Anger so he stopped climbing stuff and knocking glasses. And now I'm finally getting Remus to take a bath... Dee gave me a list of instructions and it was like five pages long. I thought he was kidding and I can't remember where I put it!'
'Do you... Want me to get Dee?'
'NO! I WANT THIS KIDDOS TO LIKE ME BACK' whimpers Patton.
'Alright... I'll get Depression to his room... Anger is good so...'

That time Remus set a car on fire and his boyfriend's boyfriend was mad he wasn't invited.
As Logan paced in front of him, Remus remembered with worrying clarity the smell of the gasoline. He smiled to himself, at the same time Logan started scolding him about the dangers of setting cars on fire. Remus didn't need the nerd to warn him about anything, he had been at a safe distance before the car even lit up. The screams of the people that were close enough to see it, someone yelling about warning the owner of the car. Who, if you were interested, happened to be a professor of his university. A professor who, curiously, gave Logan an unfair grade. An unfair grade in a project Logan had spent months in. An unfair grade that had made his boyfriend lock himself in his room and cry for a whole day. Not even Patton, Logan's other boyfriend, had been able to get him out of his room.
So yeah, he had set on fire the car of the asshole, Remus thought with mirth, as came back to the present to more scolding. He huffed. He had done it for Logan, but did that matter to him? Apparently no. Wasn't it worth noticing? Absolutely. He rolled his eyes so hard up that Logan interrupted himself to make him stop. It was Logan's turn to sigh.
“I don't understand why you did something so reckless”
“You know exactly why the fuck I did it!”
“You could get expelled”
“I dont give a fuck about getting expelled”
“I do”
Remus crossed his arms and looked in the other direction. Logan sat beside him, trying to make Remus look at him. However, a sudden doorslam made them both jump. They looked in the direction of the hurried footsteps and watched as a very tousled Patton appeared on the doorframe of Remus’ room. The redhead took a breath and Remus prepared himself for another round of scolding.
“I can't believe you went and set fire to his car!”
“Patton…” said Logan, trying to explain to Patton he had already reprimanded Remus.
“Oh, come on, you know he deserved it, he was a total-”
“You could have at least waited for me! I was looking forward to it, dang it!”
There was a moment of silence.
“...What?”
“...Well, too bad, Patty!”
“...What?”
“No! It’s not fair!”
“Everything is fair in love and war!”
“Now I’ll have to throw eggs at this house!”
“Patton, no.”
“Patton, yes.”
Neither of them noticed the small smile that appeared in Logan's face. The brunette sighed again, this time pleasantly. And sat on Remus' bed, he probably should tell them the school board had graded his project again, thanks to Janus’s intervention (guess Roman hadn't been able to stay quiet about it either) and that Virgil had called him about the perfect score he had gotten on it. But, he thought as he watched both of his boyfriends plan murder, perphaps it could wait a little longer.
