Predicament was exactly the right word. Unfortunately just about every area of Dean's life was a mess right now - a typical fate for a Hill, apparently. Along with his siblings it seemed they were beacons for bad luck and pain and stress in some variation at any given time. Jordy's voice did manage to pull Dean's attention from the case file in his hand and bring him back to Earth. He dropped it onto his desk with a sigh as he glanced toward the other man. "Yeah, you can say that again. I don't even know where to start with any of it." Dean was a sensitive person by nature with big feelings. Usually he could keep things together pretty well but when he was fighting with his twin all bets were off. Truthfully he felt ready to snap at any given moment. "Care to weigh in?"

body collapses onto used couch with a sigh, head tilted back so that dean could stare blankly up at the ceiling. ❝ bailey's just been so . . . upset lately. i don't know if it's something i did or just ⸺ i don't know. she's not angry, not really (i mean, she's got an easy temper, but that's not really anything too new), just sad i think. ❞ easy to trace a line back to the source of bailey's upset : a desire for something that you've tried so hard to grasp only for someone that hadn't even been trying to achieve it ⸺ dean understands her pain. and the way that she is so torn in two, over-filled with joy and happiness at her sister's announcement, yet deeper down jealous and bitter. all that he can do is offer comfort and lend an ear to her rambling laments.

Let’s just say reader is a tailor and one day they got contacted by someone from the school for good and evil (most likely Dovey). They want the reader to make the gown and suit that Dovey and Lesso are gonna wear for a ball. When reader tries to take Lesso’s measurements, they get into an argument cuz Lesso doesn’t want to get touched. Eventually reader got the measurements and made the clothes. Once done, aside from paying the reader, Dovey invited them to the ball as well. For what happens next and the ending, that’s for you to decide ;))

Lady Lesso always hated when Dovey called in y/n to remake, tailor the outfits of the staff. Truly it was a hindrance at best. It wasn’t to say she doesn’t like the outcome of your work. She always did. She loved how her outfits seemed to hug her body in all the right ways and truly you’d never gone wrong with the colour and material choices you made.

Her only issue is you have to touch her to make your work as perfect as it always is. So when the winter ball was approaching Lady Lesso immediately began trying to hide away from Clarissa, knowing that she would drag her to you. This wasn’t what you expected from her, in fact you’d never had a client quite like Lady Lesso, but the school pays well and you’d be lying if you didn’t like touching and being close to her.

“Stop fucking touching me” she snarled at you for the fourth time in ten minutes. “I have to Lesso, it would take two seconds if you sat still instead of trying to be an octopus” you retaliated back, it was childish, you knew that but for some reason you couldn’t help yourself. “Oh for all the heavens above! Stay still Lesso before I strap you to the damn chair” only then did you see the famous smirk and hear “I’d like to see you try, take those fingers away from me before I snap them.” Safe to say you were both as bad as one another but yet you still found these interactions more than being spoke to about the countless ever students from Clarissa. You listened of course, your friend needed an ear but she didn’t need to know how much you wished to hurry up and sort Lesso’s clothing.

Somehow you got all the measurements you needed and Lesso sulked off leaving you and Clarissa to say your goodbyes. You reassured your friend the clothes would be ready in plenty of time, and that’s when she invited you to the ball as well, a token of her appreciation for all your hard work over the past years. Graciously, you accepted the offer and began to draw up a gown for yourself, perhaps you’d finally grab the Dean of Evils attention.

Not only were you payed for your work and time, you had attended the ball, luckily it was a masquerade ball, and gained the attention of your crush. She flirted and tried to convince you to leave the ball and come back to her chambers but you wanted to stay strong, so you agreed to revel yourself at midnight.

The clock stroked twelve and you allowed her to remove your mask after a kiss. Now maskless you were scared she’d run for the hills. Buy instead she planted her lips back on yours, your hands finding the lapels of her beautiful jacket in a beautifully blissful moment.

ok so. i've been thinking about how it was so weird that everyone made sejanus coriolanus' responsibility because, as ma plinth said, he was sejanus' only friend. but ma plinth wasn't entirely right to say sejanus had no friends. in another post i talk about how lysistrata interacts with sejanus like they're at least friendly enough for her to comfort him. so sejanus has other friendly acquaintances, if not friends. but that's exactly what snow wants to remain—an acquaintance, not a friend. yet he still thinks about sejanus, calls him over to eat together, sit next to each other, gets into his business, broods over him, and all that. from an outside perspective, they're close (despite what snow thinks). but even if they're close, you wouldn't send someone's “friend” after them in such a dangerous situation like the arena situation. that's not the role of a friend.

Ten Minutes From Home [Lebanon Coda] WIP 30k

We've truly come a long way since the iconic:

"Physically restraining myself from writing a coda fic for Lebanon, where John stays over at the bunker, Cas comes home in the middle of the night & there's tension between him and Dean over whether or not they will still share a room, and then 29-year-old Mary has to sit through Thee most homophobic breakfast with her dead ex-husband, closeted son, and his common law married, ancient eldrich boyfriend."

This fic is a deep dive into some of the juicier elements of Lebanon, including- justice for Mary Winchester and her rich internal life, the intricate dance constructed around Dean's homosexuality and John's neglectful/abusive parenting and the impact of the Michael arc on Dean and Cas' relationship. Also features: recovering!alcoholic dean, a staggering amount of risky bunker sex, biblically accurate sibling interactions, and studies on objectification. Also Sam is practicing witchcraft as a treat, and I put that guy in eating disorder recovery (because he fucking needs it) <3

An Easier Softer Way WIP 38k

Recovery!natural. Injured after the hell rescue goes wrong, Dean ends up disabled and living in a small rural town in Eastern Washington. With Sam fucked off to god knows where and without the fight to distract him, Dean has nothing left to focus on but his burgeoning sobriety, and persistent dreams of hell.

Set in the arid low-lands of the river valley, surrounded by apple orchards and twisting irrigation canals, Dean becomes convinced he can see a great beast stalking through the hills bordering the town. The same beast he has dreamt of since returning from hell, the same one he can sometimes feel beside him when he knows that he’s alone.

Walking the line between grief and reality, isolation and community, Dean has to pull together what's real and what isn't as he adjust to his disability, and finds faith that he is capable of building lasting relationships and creating a life for himself worth loving.

Also eventually Cas shows up, and they save the world.

He’s still debating just getting the fuck out of there when a women at the head of the long table clears her throat, and starts to read from a laminated print out. The edges of Dean’s vision blur out a little. He has to leave. He has to- the woman is still reading. Dean tunes back in in time to hear, “-At some of these we balked. We thought that we could find an easier, softer way. But we could not."  Here, the speaker pauses, and Dean feels like she looks right at him. But she doesn't. She just gives the laminated sheet a little shake, clears her throat and continues, "With all the earnestness at our command, we beg of you to be fearless and thorough from the very start.” And no one could ever call him a coward. So he stays.

Honestly the most plot I've ever worked with (and very deeply personal) so this one could be a while. @aneasiersofterway for inspo, vibes, and bonus content.

Hi there! My name is Taylor and I’m in my late 20s. I’m a lesbian with diagnosed ADHD and bipolar disorder. I also struggle with sensory overload. I have dabbled as an online caregiver in the past but have sort of retired for mental health reasons. I still make content for fandoms as it does help my mental health nonetheless. I’ve been writing agere content for a little over 15 years now!

I write sfw agere fics, make moodboards, write headcanons, etc. I only write platonic agere dynamics. One of my favorite tropes is found family!

Currently, I’m mostly writing Grey’s Anatomy & TVDU fics, but I would be interested in writing for other verses (from media I watch). Even if I can’t get the muse to write a certain fic, I’m always down to write headcanons or make moodboards! Requests are open so feel free to hit up my inbox!

I do not write romantic pairings practicing sfw agere, even if it’s strictly non-sexual. I do include romantic pairings in my fics but only for married caregivers. Even then, I keep their interactions to mainly kissing or flirting and it won’t take up the entire fic. I will never write about incest!

My fics do include a variety of discipline, including spanking but I don’t include it as much anymore and it’s usually just a few swats with the hand. But mostly it includes grounding, timeouts, etc. If that bothers you, my fics probably aren’t for you. I also have a couple of verses with non-sexual breastfeeding and diapers. I am a compulsive tagger on both Tumblr and AO3, so just check those out!

I’ll only write for the fandoms listed here. I also stick to the headcanon I have for how a character is classified. For example, I know some people see Dean as a Little, but I only view him as a caregiver. I would struggle to write him otherwise! But always feel free to ask me whatever!

Do not sexualize my fics or interact with me if you are anti-agere, racist, homophobic, ableist or transphobic. Several of my fics include POC and queer characters, as well as characters with disabilities.

I spent a shocking amount of time, thinking about what the supernatural crew would do if they stumbled into Beacon Hills or if they were invited to a Hannibal dinner party…

like I feel like it’s Sam and Jack would have to convince Dean not to kill the entire teen wolf pack… Stiles and Dean interactions would kill me theyre so goofy… Scot and sam in the same room is too much puppy energy… Issac and Jack together describing their dads as if he’s the devil, and then Isaac is shocked when he finds out that Jack is actually being serious …. Also, I had the like brief thought that in another world, Sam would protest for werewolf rights. Then… and i don’t know why but that led me to thinking of Sam in a too tight shirt that lifted above hips so it showed his stomach a lil and uh… I’m only a man… a gay man might I add…

On the other hand, I feel like Castiel and dean meeting hannigram would be like 30 minutes of Castiel, Will, and Hannibal serving vagueness and dean cussing at them until they figured out will and Hannibal are together and thought Dean and Castiel were together… there’d be… some odd stuff going on until they figured out the werewolves they were trying to find were actually just Hannibal and will’s honeymoon activities then they’d fight and Hannibal would make well crafted jabs at the two fighting together like lovers and Will would scold him for not focusing on the fight and Castiel wouldn’t understand the jabs but they’d make dean angry…

i can’t help but think about what an interaction between victor frankenstein and herbert west might be like

obviously considering re-animator is loosely based on frankenstein, they both clearly share an obsessive interest in science and reanimation (at least for the opening part of the book, in victor’s case) but there are such key fundamental differences in their characters that makes me think they would clash in all other regards

first of all, victor is always quick to blame himself, even in his scientific pursuits. in his initial experimentations with the creature, he mentions how rather than blaming the scientific process, he blamed himself for not executing it properly. this is the opposite of herbert who, after his reanimation attempt seemingly didn’t succeed, angrily exclaimed “he failed, not i!” at the mere prospect that perhaps his reagent was ineffective

victor relies on electricity, while herbert relies on chemicals; victor’s creation is able to behave functionally, even forming coherent speech and developing much like a human being would, while herbert’s zombies usually do not retain their sense of speech and coherency outside of dr. hill and the bride, aside from a few glimmering moments of consciousness demonstrated from some of the other corpses (e.g., dean halsey recognizing and defending his daughter even in his lobotomized and zombified state). i can imagine herbert being indignant at the thought that victor could be capable of producing a far superior creature using such a different method, and victor would be appalled at herbert’s repeated attempts to bring back life that so often turned violent, as we’ve seen how poorly victor reacts to even just one “ghoulish” creature being unnaturally resurrected

a good deal of victor’s motivation was the idea that whatever being he brought to life would be subject to his existence as a godly figure, somebody who would submit to his power and resulting glory that would come from his success. contrarily, herbert doesn’t particularly show an interest in holding any kind of power over the beings he brings back to life (other than his hurt remark of “i made you!” when the bride he creates in the sequel seems to prefer dan over him) - west seems to be entirely motivated by scientific interest rather than the expectation of some sort of glory that comes with it, reinforced by the fact that he and dan tend to keep their work private and away from public view (outside of obviously naturally wanting respect for his groundbreaking scientific work, rather than the praise and reverence that victor pursues)

i’d think that west might find victor’s efforts to create New life far less appealing than his own effort to reanimate old life, simply because there is a reason to bring back those who are already dead, to extend the lifespan rather than focus on creating a new process for something which is already natural — he is not necessarily Defying anything in the way that herbert seems so excited to do (although victor would probably disagree with this). they both want to counteract disease and natural death with their processes, it seems that victor has just not yet made it to the stage that herbert is in, although herbert is lacking in other areas of the process (as mentioned above in regards to their creatures’ contrasting behavioral patterns)

i just think it’s interesting to think about! i find it funny how although herbert is meant to find his basis in victor, he is so remarkably different from his source while endeavoring in the same pursuit

Breaking up hadn’t been an easy decision to make. There was still love between them and there likely always would be. As a romantic partnership though... things weren’t working the way they were supposed to so ending was kinder to them both. However, neither had the option to go anywhere else so they agreed to stay living together for the time being. Dean moved into the guest room and tried his best to limit contact but the place wasn’t very big so there was only so much he could do. Even when shut in his room he could still hear his ex, could feel their presence through the walls and it took all of his self control to keep from asking to rekindle their relationship. 

He had noticed that they weren’t in a good mood when they came home but he’d refrained from asking about it since it wasn’t his place anymore. But when he’d heard them crying in the bathroom? Well, he didn’t have the heart to ignore it. So Dean took it upon himself to cook dinner for them - their favourite meal, of course. By the time they finally came out of the bathroom he was setting the table for them both and glanced over. “Hey, are you okay? I know it’s weird but I’m here if you want to talk. I made dinner for you but uh, you don’t need to eat with me if you don’t want to.”

I know they were extremely unpopular in this fandom but idgaf; there was so much wasted potential there and I will die on this hill. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

The most honest answer is: I try, but sometimes my neurotic anxious parts of my brain take over and I don’t reply. As a commenter and reader, I personally don’t mind if the author doesn’t reply back because I don’t wish to be perceived, but I’m also not sure what the etiquette is anymore. Do they also want me to reply to their reply? Is this a conversation now? I think AO3 changed a lot of fandom norms and expectations because I don’t remember being this conscious of myself and comment threads were the norm. But anyway, the tl;dr of it: I try and work up the nerve and sometimes I fail, sometimes I do it months later, sorry!

What is a fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

I tend to write ambiguous to hopeful endings, so this was hard to determine, so I think it is a tie between The Whispering Ghosts (Left You Out In The Cold) and Watch Your Step (You'll Need A Miracle). The former because the entire fic is bleak and the ending is essentially more of the same, while the latter is about the emotional shattering of someone post-assault.

What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

This question is very subjective because I tend to write things that might not be considered happy for some people, but are happy to me. In a more traditional sense, twenty-one grams feels the most happy because the rest of the fic is a grueling exercise in grief and eventually Eddie is brought back to life and everyone can move forward, so the relief is palpable. But on an iddy level, my favorite happy ending is we could live forever in each other’s faces because I want Sam and Dean to have a baby and rule together in Hell forever and ever.

Do you get hate on fics?

Yes. I used to get a lot of angry comments in the From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series fandom, and recently I had a lot of disgruntled people on my most recent fic. It could be my long-term anonymous hater, but who knows.

Do you write smut?

Yes! I used to not be able to and I thought I would never be capable of it, but I feel pretty good about my smut writing skills.

Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?

I did back in the day, but it was largely Supernatural/One Tree Hill crossovers because I was sixteen and afraid to admit I shipped Sam/Dean. I do muse about crossovers from time to time because I want my faves to meet and I think a lot about how they would interact, but those stories are often low priority for me.

Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Apparently! Someone was reposting fics on Wattpad and one of my Richie/Eddie fics was reposted. It was deleted before I could report it myself.

Have you ever had a fic translated?

A couple! It was an interesting and flattering experience.

Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

I can't do that because I don't speak any other languages.

Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Yes, with @ladyculebras. We often do round robin experiments and exercises, and we posted devour me (if you really think that you can stomach me) because the exercise kept going and we finished the piece.

What's your all-time favorite ship?

Sam/Dean is one of my longest running OTPs, so that feels like the obvious answer, but I never stop feeling feelings for my OTPs, they tend to go into hibernation until I am attacked with feelings and I spiral. Some of my OTPs I don’t write fic for, but still have an immense amount of feelings for. Right now off the top of my head, the OTPs swirling around in my brain at any given time are: Sam/Dean, Louis/Lestat (and Louis/Lestat/Claudia), Seth/Richie, Sam/Tara, Richie/Eddie (and Losers Club OT7), Quentin/Eliot, Geralt/Yennefer, Coriolanus/Lucy Gray/Serjanus, Katniss/Peeta (and Katniss/Peeta/Haymitch), Archie/Betty/Jughead/Veronica.

What's a wip you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?

I have a huge graveyard of unfinished WIPs for fandoms past that I am sure I will never finish, so it is easier to answer that there are a few WIPs I really do want to finish some day. My exit from the IT fandom wasn’t really something I wanted to do, but needed to do for my mental health, but I hope to return and finish some fics when I have more distance. From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series is the fandom I have the most written in and I would like to finish my longer stories in the future.

What are your writing strengths?

I love writing prose and my descriptions are very lush. I also have a strong handle on emotion and using acts of intimacy to push the story forward, but also explore character. I’m good at character and relationship studies. I think I’m adept at writing hot sex scenes. I also have a flair for horror in ways I don’t often employ, but love when I get to.

What are your writing weaknesses?

I need to learn how to not get stuck in my own head and trip all over myself and my insecurities. My biggest hurdle is myself and my own mental hangups. I need to learn that it's okay to experiment and try new things and that I don’t need to please everyone, or be liked, I just need to please myself. I also need to work on not being afraid to write longer stuff and embrace that my brain has a lot of ideas that will take time to write

First fandom you wrote for?

Harry Potter. I still have the handwritten notebook pages from when I was 11.

Favorite fic you've written?

I can’t answer this question because if I look at my fics, I will see the flaws. I will say I am proud of everything I finish because it’s often a battle of wills.
