So Soft Angel came in already deflocked but was VERY yellow. I thought she was discolored, but she was actually still completely covered in flocking glue.

Surprisingly, the glue did deyellow a bit in the SunBox before I realized what the issue was.

She's been re-de-flocked, scrubbed of all glue, and is still a little yellowed but much better.

My childhood Bella Sara Mini, before and after deflocking :3

I scrubbed her with heptane (the stuff stamp collectors use to dissolve glue) to get the flocking loose, and then scratched the rest off with a toothpick. Took 2-3 hours but I'm really happy with the result!

Here she is with her head back on, after I spent like 2 more hours removing more of the glue and taking her whole tail out to replace the metal washer with a zip tie because I'm paranoid about rust. Despite the fact that she's not perfect and not finished, she still looks so much better. It's kind of inspiring to me, sometimes the process to getting better can look rough in the moment, but when you look back you'll realize how far you've already came. As you can see in the last picture she's so vibrant bugs think she's a flower. Bonus energy dome picture.

Going to finally finish de-flocking this Shady today after starting this project like two years ago. If we get to the end of the day and I haven't successfully deflocked her you can just throw the nearest object at my head

updated photos of my g1 pony collection!! ive taken a break from collecting since ive gotten all of my grails (except for mimic), so this is probably what the gang will look like for a good long while. as u can see, im VERY fond of deflocked so soft/european NSS ponies, but my favorites of my collection are probably the romance ponies and my nurses + sweethearts

I curled her mane with straw stirrers and hair pins, and I got a fairly nice afro out of it. I was not intending to do that but, now I know how to get a good kinky curl in doll hair. I ended up styling it into twists. The tail was just washed and brushed. Razzaroo cameo

Removing Flocking from Critters!

Hello everyone, i finally have some time bc of the winter holidays and wanted to start fixing my thrifted Forest Fanilies tiger (his name is Buster). For that ill need to remove his flocking, but i never done it before and never seen someone doing it.

I found some videos about deflocking some vintage MLPs. Do you think these method would work alright for a sylvanian /calico critter type toy?

the weather changing again is killing my fucking hands. i was gonna draw shit. i was gonna deflock that pony some more. all things that id prefer my hands not hurt for. they feel like cold creaky metal.
