She knew that Jewel had been through absolute hell in the last few days. Clutch was on her shit list for sure, and if she ever got her hands on him! there wouldn't be enough of him left to put in a shot glass! She'd make him regret ever crossing her or jewel! But she needed to keep her anger under control, for jewels sake! what she needed right now was support and comfort not her going off on a tangent about clutch!

" I suppose i have, honestly i haven't had a proper day off in awhile. I guess taking some time off wouldn't hurt either. But honestly... i'll be happy to get back to what i know best--- Crystals and Stones... and i never thought i'd say it but... thank goodness for that "

She sighed as weird as it was, she was eager to return back to her work as a geologist and crystal specialist.

" Ah i suppose i should... well i was going to offer Lanolin a Job, she sounds like she could use some time away as well. So maybe she'll tag along... but honestly Spiral Hill is pretty far away from trouble most days "

When things shifted to her and her family Tangle was half excited and half unsure how to feel. She wanted to introduce Espia to her Uncle, and she hadn't been up to see him in awhile. But the thought of talking to Zack made her mood drop sharply! Gaia it was bad enough he wouldn't even answer her phone calls, she could imagine how he'd react to her moving away.

" I am Sure Mr. Ito will be ecstatic to meet you! he's from the dragon kingdoms himself if i'm not mistaken. Though he's lived in spiral hill since either Tangle or i can remember... though he never talks about his home much. "

" Yea, Auntie and Uncle were forbidden to marry by there families so they ran off together. Unc never talks about it to much... just how much he loved Auntie, and how he misses her. He was always good to us and tried to share his culture when he could. But ya know he still bought us chicken nuggies! "

" I'm sure you'll get along... he's always badgering me about bringing you to meet him! I never know how to explain our situation to me... he's awesome though! i cant wait to introduce him to ya! "

" Zack though... oaf, i am not looking forward to that conversation... he'll either hit me, or slam the door in my face... not really up for either honestly..."

Poor Jewel... at least Clutch was something Espia COULD help with. The Shinobi had dealt with sly sneaky opponents before. Espia's clan could dig up event the most buried of secrets without anyone being the wiser. She'd make a mental note to dig into the opossum once she got home. The clan's ability to remain undetected had only advanced with technology, thank Chaos for Copter and Charmette... The Dragon of the West would deal with the opossum once she got back home. How dare he threaten her loved ones...

"You've more than earned some time off Jewel." Espia spoke gently to the beetle, she'd been through a lot. She deserved a vacation from all of this. "Do try to keep some security around your museum in the future however. The last thing you need is another break in, kidnapping, or other misfortune."

What was it about this beetle that always drew misfortune to her? Maybe it was a Murphy's Law Curse or something. This kind of constant bad luck had to be unnatural... Wouldn't be unheard of for a collector of precious minerals to accidentally touch something with a spell on it. A mystery for another day...

"I have yet to actually meet Tangle's family in person," Espia admitted, it was something that they both had neglected...with good reasons on both sides. "Zack is...something we'll have to face together. But that being said I am looking forward to meeting your uncle, Tangle."

Her own blood family was something she should probably check on....it had been so long. She could only hope that her father was alright, even though...some instinct deep down told her something was wrong. Another thing to add onto the pile of "to-dos" that was growing every day.

I love how because SEGA doesn’t allow romance in sonic stories, when Ian Flynn was asked about the relationship between Tangle and Whisper, his response was basically “and they were ROOMMATES!”
