MtFs are like femininity sponges when in a relationship with real women. They consciously or subconsciously suck up the woman's femaleness like vampires suck blood. It's a frustration that can't be understood unless it happens to you. Luckily, I've finally met someone online who truly understands what it's like and it feels good not to be alone in that.

Many of you may be wondering what I mean, so I will give a hypothetical. Imagine being a woman and spending hours getting yourself filled up for an evening out... Legs shaved, hair done, makeup on point, beautiful outfit.... The whole nine yards. You feel gorgeous.... Special. Then your hubby has to do the same. Suddenly, you're not the woman..... You're just another woman. Not special, not unique. Just the same as your hubby. Having to share the femininity.

It's exhausting.

"how are you 24 and still have a gender identity" is something i just had to read with my own two eyes on a terf blog. i guess they won't like it when they find out about me, who is older than that and has 57 different gender identities. or all of my other trans friends in their 30s and 40s and older who are living very happy lives with their gender identities. terfs are so far removed from reality they really think you can grow out of gender huh

I think I'm really gonna detransition. It's not for the kink — it's for legitimate gender reasons, "healing my inner self" reasons — but I'd be lying if I said the kink wasn't involved. I wouldn't have gotten to this point if not for the kink, and honestly my reasoning and decisions have probably all been encouraged, confirmed, and pushed further by the kink.

Part of me thinks I was... or maybe still am... a guy? The "bigender/two sides" thought still rings somewhat true; it might take a bit to leave that behind me, even if it wasn't a perfect fit. And if i partially or fully detransition I'm not gonna be cis, FTM identity has informed my experience immensely. But I've also had conversations in play that have made me think "huh, could that have been me misinterpreting something else as a sign of actually being trans?". Either way, my beliefs oppose a rigid sense of the self... Whatever I was before doesn't have to be what I am now, and that doesn't necessarily have to be what I will be forever.

I might add some of those realizations onto this post in another rb later, as other girls might find them helpful. Might make another post for detransition updates or might just tack onto this one.

I get so tired of people saying that underage people are too young to transition in terms of taking hormones or that even the younger adult years might be too young. Turns out your body naturally does irreversible things to itself if left alone even though you're supposedly too young to know what your gender is. But apparently it's evil or abusive or irresponsible to replace those irreversible effects with different irreversible effects. Or even just make them happen slightly later so kids have more time to really think about which irreversible effects they want. No, the only moral choice is to force one kind of irreversible effect on kids and not allow there to be any choice at all ever. Making that potentially wrong choice for them is somehow the only good option. Farquaad-ass "some of you may die, but it's a sacrifice i am willing to make."

Yesterday, I went shoe shopping out of town and made my hubby go with me. Since none of his friends and family live there, I decided he was going to dress properly male for the excursion. He was nervous and fidgety, as he doesn't have to dress as a man in public often. He even begged for me to let him wear his female clothes. No go!

He kept trying to look at the shoes, so I not-so-quietly reminded him that this was a women's shoe store and that he was a man. There was nothing of interest to him there. He whines, but I stuck to my guns. He had to keep his gaze on the floor while I looked at and tried on a slew of beautiful shoes, mostly delicate high heels.

There's a lot more that happened, but I've prattled long enough and don't wish to bore you all with mundane details.

rlly do wish there were more non transphobic spaces for detransitioners online. the detrans folks ik (or knew, rip 2 my forum days) always had such valuable things to say about gender and self discovery and building ones personhood and to see all the spaces for them on social media be so violently opposed to that is really disheartening.

When I sent them a message that I was cutting ties w them when they went full transphobe, they promised they'd change and apparently have been using the T.H.I.N.K. method.
