Hello one and all,

Sorry, but I'm taking a break from tumblr (and all social media) again. It was nice connecting with fellow Jews online who feel as disillusioned as I was for a while, but now Tumblr knows I'm pro-Israel, so of course the algorithm keeps showing me virulently antisemetic posts, no matter how many accounts I block and declare I'm not interested in.

It's bad for my mental health, and it's not changing anyone's minds, since their minds are made up. Coming back here is like living the movie Groundhog Day, only it's the day that the world's Jews are put on trial and have to plead their innocense to avoid the death penalty, and the Court has already decided their guilt. So every day, it feels like I have to go through this dog-and-pony show of proving our innocence to people who don't care, who are scrutinizing our every word and gesture, waiting for us to screw up and confirm their pre-determined "Guilty" verdict.

I'm tired of it. I'm done.

If there's a private Jewish Dicord group that I can join, that would be great. If not, I don't want to constantly be exposed to virulent antisemites gleefully jeering, like blood-drunk savages, over the corpses of every Israeli casualty.

That's a great question! dodozoi has stated that RF! Wally is no longer an AU, but an actual project that they are going to make themselves.

I love them for taking initiative in their creative process, though this obviously leads to some issues for the VOID! series. Maybe I'll replace Rain, maybe make him a character specefic to this AU, but more than anything, I don't want to impose upon someone else's creative property. I've asked dodozoi about if I can continue to use this character in the comics, so we'll just have to wait and see what they say. Either way, as a community, let's be sure to be respectful of their choice. Also, if you guys have any ideas for the au because of this, let me know! I can credit you for the idea as I continue the comics.

Howdy!

One of my mutuals put Dog of War on my dash last weekend and I decided that it looked intriguing and read it. That was a bit of a fateful decision as I tore through it and came up for air craving more. I guess that's how those lovely plampts hook you, right?

I then proceeded to read several other HDG fics, including pulling an accidental all-nighter reading No Gods No Masters on Saturday night. I have now written more words this week on a planning doc for an HDG fic of my own than I have for the masters thesis that I'm trying to finish, but that's hardly unusual for me as I am regularly dragged about by the whims of my hyperfocus.

Anyways, really really enjoying Dog of War.

Also where do people who write/read HDG stuff tend to congregate? The discord link on the wiki page doesn't work and I kinda want to talk about this stuff with other people who are into it.

Huh, well the dicord link should work? Thats where it's at though. Try this one and lemme know. We're glad you enjoyed Dog of War though! And NGNM is a really good one. Theres a lot of excellent stories in the setting, Exhausted_Ambition's work (Negotiations on Shaky Vines and Stranded in the Void) are extremely excellent, Kanagen doesn't miss either. Mainspring is one of my favorites in the entire setting, but I'm a bit bias being into doll play XD. TheMothCourt makes a lot of great shorter stuff. Darkfalli has a fantastic body of work. Plus a ton of stuff I havent even read yet!

small 1x1 dicord call

     Hi! I’m Duckie and I am trying to get into the swing of 1x1 rping agian. And I just so happened to see the new trailer for Ghosted with Chris Evans and Ana De Armas. The plot dragged me in and honestly? How fun would it be to write it out? 

           Basically: Muse A meets Muse B in the city, they are just a normal small town person who happened to be caught by Muse B and after just a little bit of time together, they go out on a date, spend the whole day together and have a memorable night as well... Muse A believes they met the person of their dreams. 

               It’s been two days and Muse A can’t get Muse B out of their head...the only problem? Muse B hasn’t gotten back to them. Muse A’s friend/family are convinced Muse B has ghosted them but Muse A just hopes that since they travel for work they don’t have contact.            The one thing Muse A knows is Muse B will be in London for work and as a last ditch effort of romance, Muse A goes to London to find Muse B and see if what they feel is real. Only, in the mix of it Muse A gets abducted and finds out not only was Muse B not ghosting them but their business trip abroad was actually a mission, Muse B is a CIA agent and now Muse A is sucked up in the mix of action and adventure.    Alright, so that’s the plot and I was thinking we could switch up the face claims, or the roles. (Chris Evans was Muse A and Ana plays Muse B in the movie) But honestly, that’s all stuff we can plot out along with what the mission is for and what could come from the plot.  I don’t mind playing male or female fc’s and I pretty much don’t have a banned fc list: Excluding anyone problematic, asked to not be used as fcs, or anyone under 20!  I am also comfortable with smut but it is not anything I find priority while writing, if we decide to include it, great and if not, great!  Does anyone else think this seems fun? Like this post and I will reach out in the DM’s!

How I feel about this character:

Rainbow Dash isn't exactly one of my favourites in MLP, but I'm fine with her. Compared to other characters who try to ape Sonic (whether deliberately or not), she comes off a lot better than many of them IMO. Probably because she wasn't treated like an invincible Mary Sue.

As for Discord, he was a great addition to the series. I've always enjoyed his hijinks, and his powers and history make him interesting.

Is it any surprise that I'd approve of a friendship involving Fluttershy?

That applies to both characters BTW. Although with Dash, I also like her opposites dynamic with Rarity, rarely (HA) as it may have been utilised.

My unpopular opinion about this character:

I never had a problem with Dicord reforming, since even at his worst, he was never quite as sadistic or ruthless in the way that other villains were. One could argue that his reformation was slightly rushed, but I thought it was handled well enough, and the later incident with Tirek made it clear in retrospect that it was only the beginning of his turn anyway, rather than it being completed already.

I can't think of anything that would be considered an unpopular opinion in Dash's case.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon:

I wish Discord's role in the grand finale wasn't as strange as it ended up being. I get he's a kooky guy and all, and I know he had good intentions, but what made him think disguising himself as Grogar and uniting the villains wouldn't end up backfiring horribly? It didn't ruin the character for me personally, but it was definitely a weird, Rian Johnson-y decision on the writers' part.

(But at least it gives Razor more material to use against the heroes, in the land of fanfiction...)

What’s the Deal Comic/& And another Mystery Blog?

Okay guys sorry for the inactivity lately! I haven’t gone out to draw anything digitally for the past month, because my hard drive crashed. eheh simple as that. XD anyways I already I to rushed it to a computer electrician to get it fixed. Fortunately, my hardrive still has it’s remaining warranty. So I’ll get less expenses for it. But it’ll take me a while before I get it back. Annd don’t worry they backed up mah files so the next episode for what’s the deal is safe!

I’ve been getting questions about WTD? (What’s the Deal? comic) the kacchako one. And yea don’t worry! I will still update it as soon as I get my laptop back! XD

I’ve missed continuing that story despite the fact that I hate the plot and that it was just supposed to be a oneshot comic but. I think that’s not happening today...
