Girl omg I am IN ABSOLUTE LOVE with your animatics- I’dmarrythemifIcould- can I ask what program do you use for animatics? And do you have any tips on making animatics (especially abt character and camera movement) or any sneak peaks into your process? I’ve been wanting to dip my toes into trying it out but I’m not quite sure where to begin.

I have Clip Studio Paint EX, but I’m still trying to figure out the animation features etc and, again, I wanna try my hand at making animatics, that’s why I’m asking :3

Okay... For almost all animatics I use Toon Boom Harmony Premium (it has a lot of stuff and it's comfortable for me) Also sometimes I use Krita and Clip Studio Paint (I used this video to understand main features of this program (Little fact, I used Clip Studio to animate "Yellow light" for the first time). Lately started animating in Procreate too, pretty funny and comfortable one About tips... I had one about smoother shifts between frames (but for some reason I can't find it? Even with the fact that I did put a special tag on it) and I don't know what exactly you need about other tips. Almost everything I make intuitively, I kinda see where to move camera too make right effect? But I can tell one most useful tip, if you really wanna animate, try to imagine how it will move in your head, use references (just watch video and copy on paper on program moves from there), look how things in your life moves, it will slowly stuck in your head if you will be stubborn enough. Because, I will be honest, I didn't learn any animation basics but over time, as I look at video lessons, I understand tha I do know them (but I think it will be important to know them theoretically, not only intuitively, if you will work with other people, because they help to specify how it should be animated (key frames, inbetweens, timing and other things) Artists which lessons I use to watch from time to time or I just love their way of animating: Toniko Pantoja, Alex Grigg // Animation for Anyone, GOBELINS Paris, ToastyGlow, pollovy, -岂几Kai-, Neal Illustrator, SAD-ist, Casserole :D, WolfyTheWitch, Rodrigo Sousa, Amelia B (There are more, but these are the first ones I always remember, and of course a lot of cartoons)

About wips...... I have a lot... "I bet my life", "Finale" Leo's pov, "Earth" and others in queue... I almost completed key frames for "Agnes" animatic (Full song, about 4 minutes? I'm making my dream live over here he-he-he), but I am so crazy about sending wips so that I created my little rabbit hole (to hide from Cass *giggle*) to stop sending them on tumblr because I want to make full emotional experience from completed work... It's not so cool if you already experienced first emotions from this when you could experience the whole thing biting your knees

I hope something from there was helpful, don't rush, try to understand how it all works firstly, try to understand what kind of animatic you want to make and what you want to show and make it~~~~ You will love it when you'll see what you're able to create~~~

Disclaimer: long, extremely personal rant. Yes, it's also about mdzs and Jiang Cheng but mainly, it's about me trying to deal with my own trauma when I'm being hit in the face (metaphorically) with it by putting my feelings into words. The posting is so I don't erase it and force myself to forget about it.

You know it's funny, but as I was trying to sleep (and failing. Badly. It's 2:38 am.) I kept on finding myself thinking about why I didn't like Jiang Cheng. Because you see, it's rare for me to dislike a character that much, to the point I actually have blacklisted all his tags and avoid any fics that talk about him positively.

(Again, this is an extremely personal post about my own feelings. This is not meant as a rebuke if you love him. On the contrary. Keep doing what sparks joy. Just, you know, far away from me.)

I have a funny history with the mdzs fandom. I first started watching the donghua when it started airing back in... 2018? 2019? Can't remember for sure. Then I was left hungry for more because only the first season had aired, and it ended on a big cliffhanger. I saw it was an adaptation, so I went looking for the source material... and found the manhua (I was used to japanese animation at that point and thought that was it). The manhua was also being fan translated, and despite being extremely different (and confusing for poor past me), ALSO left me on a cliffhanger. I was desperate and saw someone pointing out there was a novel! I finally found it, read it in a few nights, and loved it. I read a bunch of fics, enjoyed myself, met and befriended people. Then I moved on after a while. I remember, distinctly, that I wasn't a big fan of Jiang Cheng but that I could at least stomach him in fics.

Last December, I felt the urge to reread some mdzs fics. I read some popular ones and, after falling into the animatics and amvs rabbit hole, decided to rewatch the donghua. Except for some reason, Jiang Cheng's character rubbed me wrong. I remembered not liking him much but he wasn't that bad in the fics so I couldn't see why he was so distasteful in the donghua. I'd been warned that the donghua wasn't that faithful (my own memory was extremely hazy), so I just shrugged it off. Maybe the people behind the donghua weren't fans of jc?

I saw there was an official translation of the novel and, by that point, DEEP into the hyper fixation, I bought all four available volumes and read them. At the same time, I was still reading fics. It was fine after all, I already knew the story.

By then, I had realized something was a little wrong with the characteristization. Some of the tropes given to Wei Wuxian rubbed me the wrong way. I looked it up a little (remade a tumblr, found amazing meta, the rest is history) and figured "Ah that must be cql fics. That's the problem."

And yes, that's true. In part.

The other problem lies with the particular way some people write Jiang Cheng. I'll be clear again: I have nothing against those people. Most of them I don't know and I'm aware this is very much a, shall we say, "me" problem. It's why I avoid the positive Jiang Cheng content. I don't care if you keep writing it so long as you keep it away from the canon jc tag.

But whenever people write Jiang Cheng and completely erase his crimes and abuse of both Wei Wuxian and Jin Ling, I feel it like a slap on the face.

Last Monday, I saw a therapist and talked about her about many things (I did warn this would be a very personal post). Part of it was my mother and her treatment of me and my brothers. And after barely a few words, she said, very simply "Oh so your mother abused you."

I already knew that. I use those words myself to describe my history with her. But the validation is always nice to hear, you know? Especially because so many people try or have tried to brush it off as "nothing." My own mother did, both about her own behaviour and when I was being abused by other people and tried to seek her help. Hell, even I still do it sometimes.

And I think that's why I hate Jiang Cheng so damn much now. His canon self is... Well, I'm not a fan, but he's a well-written antagonist. But dear gods, I've seen so many people brush off his canon characteristics to make him into a more palatable character, the loving uncle, the funny tsundere brother, the ace guy who hates mushy romance (let me tell you, as an ace person I am also real fucking tired of homophobic characters being hc as ace)... Even the ones who mention his bad parts feel the need to immediately add his achievements, as if they don't dare speak badly of their fave. "Yes, he tortured Wei Wuxian, but he also sacrificed his core to save him!" "Yes, he hit and verbally abused Jin Ling, but he also lovingly raised him!" "Yes, he tortured and killed innocent people but he also has trauma and had to lead a sect when he was so young!"

And this feels familiar, every time. This feels like the people telling me "Yes but it's not that bad" or saying "Yes your mother gave you panic attacks but she made sure you didn't fail at school" or "Yes but she made you love reading" or "Yes but she gave you so much, don't be selfish" or "Yes but she was here for you when you were depressed" or "Yes but she has it hard too" until I fell in the habit of saying "Sure, my mother insulted me and threatened me financially and there was a long, long time I was convinced she didn't love me... but."

Always that damn BUT.

So you might be able to understand why I have a hard time with Jiang Cheng when people pull the same shit all thenfucking time. I'm working on it because I'd rather not be stuck feeling anxious about a silly purple grape just because he happens to be fandom fave in my current hyperfixation but in the meantime, I have to deal with it and it's... annoying. To say the least.

(I'm going to insist here: I know that Jiang Cheng isn't my mother. That's not the point here. I am fully aware he's a fictional character and that me feeling that way is something I should be working on. I am. And I'm not telling people to stop writing positive content for him. This is just me trying to put into words my complicated feelings for a complicated character. And ranting, a little bit, about badly tagged fics I admit.)

It's easier on social media. You just block the characters tag and, if people bother you about it, you block them. Friends being friends, I just need to tell them "I don't feel comfortable talking about this character" or "let's agree to disagree on this interpretation" and because my friends are the best, they agree and we move on.

Fanfiction is where the problem lies.

I know why people erase the 'hard' parts, or at least I have a good guess. It's easier that way. Fanfiction is about having fun! It's about writing about your blorbos the way you want to! I don't want to police anyone's content. I'd just like it if people tagged their OOC and stopped trying to make me feel as if I'm the one who misread the book because I don't feel like erasing the canonical abuse this character did or because I don't like that they keep putting down my favorite character to uplift theirs.

I'm not sure how to conclude this. I should be sleeping honestly.

Let's try this: if you read this to the end, congrats I guess. I want to reiterate I don't care if you make Jiang Cheng into the most loving, best brother and uncle ever. Just be aware of what you're erasing first. And tag your goddamn fics.

Here are my honest thoughts on "Buddha" by Masa Works Design (Not in chronological order):

1.) Right off the bat, I could tell the music video is going to be fire (once it releases)

2.) Anyone who speaks Japanese, do you mind translating the song? Srs need to know what the song is about <3

3.) First (ok maybe not exactly "first") full song where we hear Masa's voice? Also another man's voice, does it belong to Masa's friend/sibling?

4.) I love the chanting parts, although the muffled speaking sound playing distinctively in the background is distracting 💔 have to force my brain to focus on the singing

5.) On the topic of the muffled speaking sound, what is it and where does it originate from? Was it included just for song purposes, or is there a reason why it sounds so distracting while the song plays out? Is it Buddha/a preacher?

6.) Whenever the chanting parts play out, a scenario comes to mind where it's soldiers. As in, they're chanting the lyrics of the song while marching (war/training?). Animators, don't get any ideas 👀 (/j)

7.) Relating to #6, Vladimir Makarov and his Konni men most notably come to mind

8.) Relating to #4-#5, the muffled speaking sound reminds me of when the neighbors speak in "that's not my neighbor"

Update: 11.) Ok, so my mind decided to come up with yet another scenario during the chanting parts. The first time the man chants (beginning of the song), two girls (masked/dressed Egyptian?) dance in an Egyptian-like way while 2 men are tied up and chant the lyrics. The second time the man chants (end of the song), the same thing happens, except the 2 men are presented as having been tortured (injuries on them) and looking defeated

Update: 12.) Y'all ok so I figured out like 3 words only and have my own theory. So in the chanting part, the man says these at the end of his sentences:

~ "watashataha," which means "it's me"

~ "shatawataha"

~ "shataha"

~ Other words ending in "a" or "aha"

Ngl my opinion on these is they're slang (/not real words to translate), since the letters are either moved around or removed. For my theory, I think the man is trying to convince whoever he's talking to that "it's me"? (Buddha). Like, he's a false prophet/teacher trying to speak for Buddha (or act like he's Buddha himself)

I think that's all I have to say? If there's anything else I left out, I will make sure to update this list. I made this post Multifandom (based on the tags) so others could share their opinion, stream the "Angeles" album by Mass Works Design, and work with the songs (if they want to in edits/animatics). So there was this post floating around talking about how egg arc fans were unfairly blaming inniters and just generally being bitter over the lore, I think I might have even reblogged because well I do agree with the sentiment somewhat, I don't think it's suprising or wrong to be at least a little annoyed given the absolute chokehold The Disc plot side of the fandom had and still has. Like of course people are going to be annoyed when you make every part of the lore about c!Tommy. I have been annoyed when people tag the eggpire in unrelated fancontent. Like, it's dsmp lore, I'm not trying to act like egg arc fans are some uniquely silenced portion of the fandom, but yeah. People did and do butcher other characters (often with female characters, in misogynistic ways) to fit the narrative of their fics. It is hard to find a fic without it being mostly about c!Tommy/Tubbo/Ranboo/ what have you, without filtering through a bunch of tags. It is frustrating to see fans who never watched the egg lore call it 'half-lore' or a side plot. It is annoying to see a storyline that has very little to do with c!Tommy, be made about c!Tommy. In animatics, in fanart, and in that one guy's dsmp netflix recap. And you know, this isn't exclusive to inniters. c!Dream fans too, are guilty of the same kind of 'need a filler character so let me just use c!antfrost or something' tropes, just in different ways. This would be a lot more eloquent if I remembered what that post said, and I hope this doesn't come off as too harsh, but yeah. Making c!Tommy the main character in arcs he comparatively had little to do with, arcs which are already seen as background lore and not important due to a self maintained cycle, and seeing your favorite characters butchered is annoying. Just because it makes you uncomfortable doesn't mean it's not true.

Dear Recreyoblr,

Recreyo have outted, the end is now.

I made my first recreyo post on march 28th of 2023, first drawing/comic was on march 14th of 2023, the sharp teethed Curt one. It's not canon to me anymore, for whom it may concern. I like the idea of him being the only human (until he glitched, like soup's idea).

Unfortunately, when I found recreyo, I wasn't logging into any yt accounts, so I have no way of knowing when I fell into this hyperfixation. (A calculated guess would be around Christmas break of 2022, because I remember spending an entire day just scrolling through their page)

More about the present and future, well, I think we can all say that recreyo was awesome with their story-writing & telling, leaving us with some Kristine wisdom and the continuations of stories in fanfiction. (And I'm not taking constructive criticism on this but) (I just feel like the bit with Rock Paper Scissors made it all the more painful to listen to and perfect) (I don't even know how to elaborate on this)

Of course, now that Recreyo overed, a lot of us will be leaving. I wish you all great lives outside of this community of ours. As for me, I still have fanfiction and AU ideas that'll keep me motivated for... God knows how long, but I've at least got 3 aus. For those that depart, maybe you'll remember recreyo and their fandom once in a while. And if you do, check the tag. Youtube, Tiktok, Tumblr, Ao3. Wherever else people go. It might be fun to see the stuff that have popped up over the time, who knows.

A hundred thanks and appreciations goes to people whom I will only generalize and not name so I don't accidently leave someone out: of course, the Recreyo Crew, thank them for created this wonderful year and community; the animators. every single one of them did such great jobs in this channel and for the long term animators it was so fun watching their art styles develop; the editors, who do such awesome jobs in editing their videos and producing what we have; the thumbnail artists -- I knew most of them Ivan drew, but some are by different artist(s?); in terms of the fandom, all the appreciations for the fan artists(in all categories of art) that create crazy awesome stories, art, animatics, edits, etc. I don't know if that's everyone but thank you all.

Fun facts include: I wasn't much of a Tumblr user before this, but the recreyo community on Tumblr is just too alluring :3; the smoke alarm in my house have went off because I was too distracted watching Recreyo.

Sorry for the long jazz, but this was a fantastic community (the best i've ever encounter and i doubt there could be anything that beats this) and I couldn't have hoped for anything better than this.

My story in this one is I became a fan before the donghua even aired. You know me. I see Long haired bishie. I'll definitely check it out. I remember seeing the cool animatics and trailer featuring Wei Wuxian playing his flute. Its one of the first donghua teaser. I can't find it anymore though. If you know, you know. That's when I start to became interested in it. I just love how the story values other characters aside from the main couple. Everyone have their big roles for the story. I love especially the Yunmeng Shuangjie story. My favorite character is Jiang Cheng. My favorite Wangxian scene is mostly before Wei Wuxian's resurrection because I treasure their progress and them getting to know each other. I tone down my love for it now because of what the fandom has become. I swear I can talk about JC here freely during the 1st season of donghua but I don't know what happened after The Untamed. The MDZS tag became a war zone about who's the best ship or which one suffer the most as in someone will attack you just because you talk about your favorite character JC lovingly as if its a crime to like him(Sorry to say that I'm the type of story enjoyer who don't focus only in morally good characters because I appreciate character designs and how he was written like his body language) so I mostly focus my energy now to JC tag and shipping Xicheng. I dislike it when fandom is trying to erase Wangxian's flaws and use it as their weapon to demonize JC because what I like about Wangxian is their flaws in the first place.

Stole my heart completely - Tian Ya Ke (Faraway Wanderers)

I'm grateful to the Word of Honor drama for introducing me to this story. I really like the love story in this. When I said love story, I meant the found family troupe and romance. Both of it! I prefer the book more than WOH but WOH is still decent at least until episode 30 I guess lol. I hate the miscommunication part. I really let my guard down in this one because they said Wen Kexing is the stereotype character I hate the most (pleasure seeking character who frequently visits brothel) but surprisingly I find myself liking him despite how annoying he is. Zhou Zishu is the same. He's a supporting antihero-like character in Qi Ye (prequel) who did atrocious things that hard to forgive. I like both of them. And the fact that both of them is at their late 20s when their first meet. I love how they understand and communicate with each other like a normal person despite not really a normal person lol. They only become normal in the presence of each other and their beloved only disciple, Chengling. I also tend to lose interest to my ship after the confession phase and when they are going out but when it comes to WenZhou, I love imagining their married life. Also, did you know that WKX has already decided ZZS as his lifetime partner without even knowing ZZS true appearance in the book? Like he know ZZS has disguise but he can only imagine his own version of ZZS in his mind lol He's so in love with a hobo just simply because he love his company. I find that cute and heartwarming. I just love the contrast that they look indecent or explicit but they have surprisingly cute sides as couple. I like that they live their 2nd life without rewind button or having the choice to change your past choices. They decided to move forward despite how messed up their past are and even raised a morally good hero, Zhang Chengling who love them dearly. You can tell ZZS' life is no longer his but for WKX and Chengling.

Dark horse - You Yao (Are You OK?)

I found this one because of the donghua adaption in IQIYI knowing its just an isekai comedy donghua. I didn't know its gay and surprisingly has 4 canon gay CP! Imagine how surprise I was! Its very short but I find it interesting and had a hard time moving on from obsessing over it. Their romance is very subtle though but focus in pair's emotional connection. The donghua give them the WOH treatment where the character flaws are toned down. They are antiheroes and morally grey characters in the book. Anyway! What I like about it is it gives a different spin to transmigration genre and every CP play an important role to get across a message to the reader. For example, LouZuo aka the Medicine pair explore the conflicts between natives and outsiders (transmigrators). We have scheming Lou Zhu who only care about himself and have conscience for only selected people which is kinda understandable after knowing how the natives mistreated the outsiders like him from Zuo Yunqi's memories where outsiders are executed publicly just because of their advanced knowledge or jailed if they are useless. Then we have the natives travelling CP, Long Daxia and Qian Zhenduo who witnessed their own world get ruined by outsiders and by emperor that they trusted. Another CP known as the Poison pair, Prince Yu and Li Ke's story explore Prince Yu's revenge against the emperor and his regrets that he can't be a good person for Li Ke. Lastly, the bickering pair Fan Aiguo and Xie Liang from Sick chapter who originally share one body but later enjoyed the company of each other despite their differences. Their story explore the side of ordinary people who are trying their best to help others. So yeah, it has 4 sides of the story. I really love the message of the story where the villains are the people obsessed in escaping reality and we have MCs who treat the new unfamiliar world as their new reality. Its against the charm of Isekai genre. Isekai fantasy is usually story focus on escaping reality but in You Yao, the transmigrator characters don't treat the native people as characters. Instead of thinking about an exit, they adapt.

Surprised me - Sha Po Lang (Stars of Chaos)

My story about SPL is funny. I read it out of spite. MDZS gained puritans in the fandom so I'm like "I shall read the most problematic pseudo-incest age gap danmei with racism I don't agree with but sometimes we need to read problematic stuff to be aware and be a critique hoping there's no puritans here. Yeah, MC wearing a monocle is handsome too so why not?". Also, we have donghua VA of Wei Wuxian and Jiang Cheng for the SPL audio drama as besties here so its a win-win situation to me. I can finally see them living happily in different universe. I was really surprised because its not that problematic? Its problematic still but I imagined worse than this. Like Loveless or Junjou Romantica? That's my standard of worse? I think ChangGu is actually the most romantic Danmei couple I ever encountered that I actually like. I'm saying this as someone who's not into heavy romance story. The main couple has a very well-balanced dynamic, no power imbalance and definitely a power couple. Chang Geng who values Gu Yun's wish, conditions and dreams to the point of changing the country's system for his loved one who's a general is hard to accomplish yet he surprisingly did it? That's romantic to me! The politics and economics aspect are also interesting. Their story made me care about the world. The best selling point of this story for me is the growth of the MCs as a person, their feelings and relationship. Also the ancient China industrial revolution-steampunk setting! Its really one of a kind and something new. I like to believe that Gu Yun started dating Chang Geng out of pity and his platonic love for young Chang Geng. He only fell in love with him romantically when they exchange ideas for future. Like yes, he already care about Chang Geng in probably familial sense. He is his home after all. But loving and being in love are two different things. I like that the text made sure that Gu Yun didn't fall in love with the young Chang Geng but the adult Chang Geng who value his dreams that are hard to achieve.

Nerdy Prudes Must Die: This is, for me, just on there for the sake that it is literally the song they share. That is the only reason it's on here. Also why it's the first song on here.

Take Me Back: This, however, I have no idea why it's on here! Nevermind, secret relationship michie; I'm an idiot. Okay, yeah, I think I can see it. Especially with them having regrets about keeping it a secret. Like, I'm listening to Tom's verse right now and it's like "oh, Max,, maybe you should've just openly loved Richie back thennn." Becky's verse now, okay. I see it a little less. I like the idea of 'i remember something someone asked me back in school,' being Max saying something like "if we could, would you go to prom with me," because of the following line; I think that's cute. Weirdly enough, I think this'll stay.

First Date/Last Night: Yes, I love this for them. Very cute, very nice. Derek Klena's character for max; perfect.

Blast From the Past: So, uh. I skipped this at first. Because I did not like it. This is the last song of these I've listened to because I am/was putting it off. But here we go i guess. Okay, it's not that bad. It kind of reminds me of Will Wood. But it also makes me realise that the musical Zombie Prom isn't the same as the Wizards of Waverly Place Episode, it seems to be about a single zombie who goes to prom. Which I guess makes sense. I'm keeping it, but it's like. That's all I got from it mostly.

Stupid With Love: So I technically added it, because the reprise was on it, I think it's a little silly to have on here, because I don't think Cady is much like Richie, but I think I'm keeping it for purely after (s)he meets Aron. Like, I've literally put that quote where Cady is essentially fantasising about him in tags about Richie and Max; feels wrong to not include it.

Stupid With Love Reprise: So, listening to it makes me nervous because I haven't actually watched all o Mean Girls the Musical, but it's fine. We're gonna do it anyway. Oh, wait, there's a BMC animatic of this, I've seen this, I'm stupid. Okay. I see why the og put it on here. It is very cute, I love it. I don't know enough about factorials to know if that's actually what you're supposed to do with them, and if it's not then it's hilarious. If it is, then it's like... well, I guess PJ did a good job tutoring Max.

Be Nice To Me: I like this song generally speaking, I never thought of it for Max and Richie, but I'm kind of into it. Like, I might do song fics with some of the songs from this playlist, and this is definitely a high high contender.

Two Birds: Thanks og, you mother fucker. I'm sad now. Luckily, I've already thought of them during this song so I can just skip it.... unluckily, it's already started playing and I can't turn it off now. Thems the rules.

Sex with a Ghost: I don't know why this is on there. It's obviously more of a Jagertity song, but I'm still going to listen to it with their context to see if I can figure it out. Okay, listening. Beachboy: Another song I've listened to before, I'm excited to listen to it under Michie context. Like, I could type the lyrics along if I wanted to, I love this song. Yes, this is amazing. Aside from the fact that it's, again, straight, it's absolutely great.

Bloom: We begin the ones where I'm going to have to look up the english translations to these songs. Which I'm fine with, I've listened to all the BSD character songs. It's actually pretty fun to follow along, which is why I'm linking english translations through te name titles, which is why some of the have underlines and others don't. Anyway. HEY SORRY TO BUT IN! @occultwhiskers (my main blog) was tagged by @parisinflamesmp3, thank you so much! i will have to cheat because i usually just listen to albums as a whole, but i'll try to pick some (with the help of Spotify stats and last.fm lmao). oh yeah, also, that's a list sorted purely by vibes.

Autumn Creature — Cuttlephone. starting off strong, i've been listening to Midday Odd a lot lately, mostly because i recommended the album to a friend a while ago and remembered how i used to only listen to it for days in the summer. quite funny that the artist runs around in my mutual circles. quite funny but also kinda scary lmao.

Ancestry — Lena Raine. the minecraft OST is an all-time classic, imo. this one however is special to me, because i typically listen to it when i am feeling very bad… and because i have not been doing so well, both physically and mentally, i listened to it on repeat a few times the last week alone.

There Must Be More Than Blood — Car Seat Headrest. i am not the biggest fan of that album, i think the older CSH albums are much better, but this specific song did stick with me. i really like the part starting at around 5:15 minutes in, and have been imagining some ocs with it. you know how it is, animatics in my head and all the good stuff.

Just — Radiohead. i have been listening to a lot of Radiohead albums, especially the ones they made in the 90s/early 00s. picked this specific song because i really like the rising guitar thing they do (that i'm pretty sure has a name, but i cannot remember it right now lmao).

rare animal — glass beach. gleach :3 big fan of glass beach and especially rare animal, i think i listened to it about 400 times this year alone. also i just really wanted to have them on this list somewhere, even if only as an honourable mention.

Hey guys did you know im clinically insane and have multiple OMORI AUs not just swingset? Yapping below! (Spoilers for canon game sometimes i guess)

Swingset AU / SSAU / TRTT (two ropes tied together)(fic name abbreviation) wasn't even the first au I've made.

The first one i really created was ODS (Omori didn't succumb) but the original concept of that whole au is completely different to what it ended up. Originally it was Sunny surviving the bad ending but I changed it to him just remaining as a ghost that can sorta turn physical at will. No I will not make a fic of this.

The next au i can remember making (after swingset) was Kanpekikel (which i completely forgot existed until a few days ago) which is just your average hikikel au with a side of horrible parenting and lots of Kel angst. No, again, I will not write anything of this. I'm pretty sure Kanpekikel was a really early version of Daburumori without the whole double isolation for the kiddos thing.

Like a few days after i got the general idea of Wasurerumori which basically. Everyone forgets Mari and Sunny ever existed and Sunny has to navigate his new reality of "whoops guess nothing ever happened then! My friends don't know me" - again nothing planned to be written

I don't know when but i had a conversation with my friend which led to RWmori being created. Rain world/Omori au where everyone is a slugcat (but anthro. Clothes and stuff!) and deals with the Omori plot with bonus spice (Sunny is Hunter from rain world, a character that literally is terminally ill. Whoops. Sorry Sunter (the name)). I don't plan to write a fic of this one BUT I did start an animatic of it. Might finish it. We'll see.

Daburumori is my second most fleshed out au. I have some (outdated) reference sheets for the main gang (+headspace vers for Kel and Sunny) just check out the tag i guess. I will probably not write anything of it as the plot isn't really cohesive. Might make little comics though!

The next au(?) is basically more of a fic idea. I called it Fire And Ice and i might write it alongside swingset but without the usual once per week updates. It's basically just suntan with some royalty, magic and transgendering. You know me, i love suntan!

I promise not all of these aus are suntan. I PROMISE. (I might be in denial) (Sorry i love suntan sorry sorry AugghhHHHHH)

The last au i have is sporemori which is a big mess of media i like. Infections, mushrooms that really like growing in your bodies, elements from the ghibli movie 'Nausicaa and the valley of the wind' (I don't remember the name please don't attack me) and a whole lot of body horror! I've actually drawn sunny for this au but since i haven't finished anyone else's designs i won't post it unless i randomly get possessed and finish them all. I MIGHT write something for it. No promises. I tried to write something but it got a bit too messy 2k words in (and it was just like. Before the plot?)

Edit! I somehow forgot the existence of headspaced au. It's not that big of an au and it'd work more as a mod. But i cannot mod. Which is why i refuse to associate myself with this au because it's hell on earth to try to explain the lore. /Hj

The fun thing about my current Tango of the Tek variety brainrot is that I remember being uninterested.

I mean, conceptually I remember being uninterested in all of them - the whole hermit-life-etc experience is a crash course over three months at this point, and my previous brainrots are still here. But some people were for me like "I don't know em, then I love em", some people existed on my background long enough for me to go "ah. you're here. you're cute. I'd probably read a fic about you".

The first time me even acknowledging the name Tango (why the fuck do I remember it) is reading the Last Life text recap. At this point I watched like what, ten animatics and five minutes of actual footage, if I knew names except Grian and Mumbo, I was not Aware of them, and I wanted to know what happened after the whole "we can be friends" ordeal. And my whole knowledge of minecraft arena is what - I knew there were some cool and not-so-cool guys in the past, I drew couple things for minecraft animations like 8 years ago, I've heard DSMP fandom is a hot mess. And I read and I see the life betting thing and my first instinct is to zoom in and "okay, I need to know if this Tango guy is running a scam" and later am genuinely surprised "he's not??"

...Honestly, Life text recap aren't good to get aware of names and events if you aren't already, the read didn't even make me aware of Etho or Scott or whoever. I did start to recognize the name Tango, though... and *that's* when I remembered being uninterested. I can now see the compilation and be like "oh that's Tango alright" and skip past. I can see the picture with him in a hat, go "oh, Tango. ngl this is kinda cute" and skip past. I remember skipping past the first Rancher death!! before I knew the level of relevance.

I... don't remember when I start being interested, though.

I will say Chrisrin's Tango design jits the all buttons of cute to me, and I disyinctively remember liking it. I remember I start liking Impulse, and so Tango is on my orbit more often. I see the Space Man animatic and go a little "ouch". There is Something Happening, and I really, really can't track what and why.

I can't track how do I end up at ranchers tag late in the night, reading every fic with nice summary.

I'm acutely aware what happened *there*, though. The "everywhere, everything" fic by birrdie happened. It swept me off my feet, waited for me to get back up and acknowledge how powerful it is and go reread it, and struck me down dead. If you use phrases like "scarian have never left the desert", then this ref has never left the winter pharmacy. The fic has changed something in me, and that's forever, and I'll be surprised if I ever return to it and don't cry.

I'm... pretty sure all the Tango content I watched right after it was to soothe the pain. I'm also sure that now I was receptive enough to cling to his energy, his sounds, his smarts, and be able to love it, not skip past.

Honestly, no regrets. This is ultimately what I needed.

I was going through your Salem Hawke tag and I have a question! Fenris slept with Isabela after breaking up with Hawke in your story? What was that about? Can you elaborate?

I hazily remember that Isabela and Fenris hook up during the game, and it occurred to me back in 2017 when I did this animatic that it could have happened still, even with an active romance, during their break. I don't know if it's my actual headcanon (it ruins a lot of the fenhawke dynamic maybe?) but I thought it was amusing since Isabela and Fenris are seemingly attracted to each other anyway.... and messy drama is amusinggg.

Does this make them bad... idk. I never thought this through ;v;
