It is so true that horror fans are a different breed! I love horror movies and books. My closest friend is not a fan but she goes with me because I love it and will cover her eyes most of the time . . .I sincerely don't get it! haha But she doesn't get how I can watch it. I was shocked that she hadn't read the original Frankenstein or Dracula! or even The Exorcist! I thought everybody had! This is what I mean by a different breed! Of course, my entire family are horror fanatics so it seems like just another movie that hopefully, will make me cringe or jump! I appreciate this post . . .it made me laugh!

“Bring Your A Game”

Your A game doesn’t just refer to sports. It’s about how you interact with and treat people. The enthusiasm you bring into each day. Your honesty, integrity, discipline, focus, etc. Everything that’s done in the dark will always play out under the lights. One bad decision, one moment of weakness, one careless moment can stick with you for the rest of your life. Life is like a boomerang, once you invest in a new one, you’ll spend the rest of your life trying to throw your old one away. No matter how much you change, most will define you by your one moment of weakness. Don’t let your talent take you somewhere that your character can’t keep you. Continue strengthening those good habits, critique your routine. It’s ok to be your biggest critic, but make sure you speak positively to yourself as well. Make each day count. Every word you speak and every move you make can help you or hurt you.

Being around the right people is just as important for adults as it is the teenagers we preach it to. We’re all human and susceptible to mistakes, laziness, complacency, discouraging thoughts, etc. Be around those that demand your best. Those that aren’t afraid to challenge you and willing to open your mind to new positive outlooks. I truly believe, you become old, stale, and replaceable when you stop trying to grow. Bring your best everyday. If you don’t like your surroundings, or the way those around you operate, don’t point fingers. Become the difference maker and someone worth following. 

Whether you walk a mile or sprint a mile, it’s still a mile. You’ll be amazed at how far you get if you just keep going.
