despite often feeling disconnected from humanity, i never felt hatred towards this species as a dragon. although many times i wanted to throw away my life and i shitted on (sometimes still do) the social environment i am forced into, i have never not felt grateful for being able to experience this life, even in its most sufferable, darkest times. even if i'll always remain a stranger, an observer, a feral animal in the crowd, i think i found my peace in it.

let me explain further.(?)

many nonhumans say they are angry that they have to live in a human shaped body, surronded by humans, and that's pretty reasonable, i just. i was always amused by the humans' creativity, compassion, empathy, strenght and endurance. whatever reason is there for i don't have wings to fly with and fangs to hunt with, i am willing to give those up to learn as much in this life as i can. to hoard as many little trinkets as i'd like to and try out flying and hunting in the way the humans do it.

i absolutely adore them, and i am thankful for the nearly infinite possibilities they give me to fulfill. i have to admit, i am indeed mad at them for making me suffer through school and. and many many other bad things. i am mad at them for creating a world so neglectful, when the very thing that makes people suffer is purely neglect. i am indeed mad at them, but only because i have so much faith in them.

if i got the chance to have my own body, i wouldn't hesitant and would leave behind this life – not including my loved ones of course; i would never leave my siblings and lover –, but as i don't really have a chance for that scenario coming true, i will cherish my human life with my human body and human friends.

of course i understand why would someone say the exact opposite; maybe i am one of those dragons who chose a rider, because humans just amazed them a lot. maybe i am just a traveler, content with anything nice that comes along. and sometimes i find peace in the strange delicate palms of this body that allows me to draw, and the weird chords of my voice. i think i am completely okay with living as a human, even tho i am not even a little bit human in heart, even tho i remember my dragon body flawlessly, even tho my freedom in life will be limited. i am okay with it all, because i was given a strange adventure and i want to experience it fully.
