varṣoṅ tak van meṅ ghūm-ghūm,

bādhā-vighnoṅ ko chūm-chūm,

sah dhūp-ghām, pānī-patthar,

pāṅḍav āye kuchh aur nikhar.

saubhāgy n sab din sotā hai,

dekheṅ, āge kyā hotā hai.

maitrī kī rāh batāne ko,

sabako sumārg par lāne ko,

duryodhan ko samajhāne ko,

bhīṣaṇ vidhvaṅs bachāne ko,

bhagavān hastināpur āye,

pāṅḍav kā saṅdeshā lāye.

par, isameṅ bhī yadi bādhā ho,

rakkho apanī dharatī tamām.

ham vahīṅ khushī se khāyeṅge,

parijan par asi n uṭhāyeṅge!

duryodhan vah bhī de nā sakā,

āshīṣ samāj kī le n sakā,

ulaṭe, hari ko bāňdhane chalā,

jo thā asādhy, sādhane chalā.

jab nāsh manuj par chhātā hai,

pahale vivek mar jātā hai.

hari ne bhīṣaṇ huṅkār kiyā,

apanā svarūp -vistār kiyā,

ḍagamag-ḍagamag diggaj ḍole,

bhagavān kupit hokar bole-

‘jaṅjīr baḍhā kar sādh mujhe,

hāň, hāň duryodhan! bāňdh mujhe.

yah dekh, gagan mujhameṅ lay hai,

yah dekh, pavan mujhameṅ lay hai,

mujhameṅ vilīn jhaṅkār sakal ,

mujhameṅ lay hai saṅsār sakal.

amaratv fūlatā hai mujhameṅ,

saṅhār jhūlatā hai mujhameṅ.

udayāchal merā dīpt bhāl,

bhūmaṅḍal vakṣasthal vishāl,

bhuj paridhi-bandh ko ghere haiṅ,

maināk-meru pag mere haiṅ.

dipate jo grah nakṣatr nikar,

sab haiṅ mere mukh ke andar.

‘dṛg hoṅ to dṛshy akāṇḍ dekh,

mujhameṅ sārā brahmāṇḍ dekh,

char-achar jīv, jag, kṣar-akṣar,

nashvar manuṣy surajāti amar.

shat koṭi sūry, shat koṭi chandr,

shat koṭi sarit, sar, sindhu mandr.

‘shat koṭi viṣṇu, brahmā, mahesh,

shat koṭi jiṣṇu, jalapati , dhanesh,

shat koṭi rudr, shat koṭi kāl,

shat koṭi daṇḍadhar lokapāl.

ja~njīr baḍhākar sādh inheṅ,

hāň-hāň duryodhan! bāňdh inheṅ.

‘bhūlok, atal, pātāl dekh,

gat aur anāgat kāl dekh,

yah dekh jagat kā ādi-sṛjan,

yah dekh, mahābhārat kā raṇ,

mṛtakoṅ se paṭī huī bhū hai,

pahachān, isameṅ kahāň tū hai.

‘ambar meṅ kuntal-jāl dekh,

pad ke nīche pātāl dekh,

muṭṭhī meṅ tīnoṅ kāl dekh,

merā svarūp vikarāl dekh.

sab janm mujhī se pāte haiṅ,

fir lauṭ mujhī meṅ āte haiṅ.

‘jihvā se kaḍhtī jvāl saghan,

sāňsoṅ meṅ pātā janm pavan,

paḍ jātī merī dṛṣṭi jidhar,

haňsane lagatī hai sṛṣṭi udhar!

maiṅ jabhī mūňdatā hūň lochan,

chhā jātā chāroṅ or maraṇ.

‘bāňdhane mujhe to āyā hai,

jaṅjīr baḍī kyā lāyā hai?

yadi mujhe bāňdhanā chāhe man,

pahale to bāňdh anant gagan.

sūne ko sādh n sakatā hai,

vah mujhe bāňdh kab sakatā hai?

‘hit-vachan nahīṅ tūne mānā,

maitrī kā mūly n pahachānā,

to le, maiṅ bhī ab jātā hūň,

antim saṅkalp sunātā hūň.

yāchanā nahīṅ, ab raṇ hogā,

jīvan-jay yā ki maraṇ hogā.

‘ṭakarāyeṅge nakṣatr-nikar,

barasegī bhū par vahni prakhar,

faṇ sheṣanāg kā ḍolegā,

vikarāl kāl muňh kholegā.

duryodhan! raṇ aisā hogā.

fir kabhī nahīṅ jaisā hogā.

‘bhāī par bhāī ṭūṭeṅge,

viṣ-bāṇ (arrow) būňd-se chhūṭeṅge,

vāyas-shrṛgāl sukh lūṭeṅge,

saubhāgy manuj ke fūṭeṅge.

ākhir tū bhūshāyī hogā,

hiṅsā kā par, dāyī hogā.’

thī sabhā sann, sab log ḍare,

chup the yā the behosh paḍe.

keval do nar nā aghāte the,

dhṛtarāṣṭr-vidur sukh pāte the.

kar joḍ khaḍe pramudit,
