Really want to replay Digimon Dawn/Dusk, because i was so fucking stupid when i was a kid that i gave up playing after my Digimon turned into Rookies— thought i fucked up really bad as a Tamer when i couldn’t digivolve my Digimon back to normal after that boss fight with the purple thing. (Context: i didn’t know how to speak English at the time, and i didn’t watch Any gameplay to understand what the hell i was supposed to do).

Opened a box of the new Digimon set today. Here is the 3 Alt-Arts I got in the box, plus the Dusk/Dawn stuff. Was so excited for this set and so I am sharing.

Was super happy to get the alt-art GraceNovamon, as the SEC rare of the box was the other one 😔 But this alt-art is epic and more than makes up for it 😊

If there is ever an official sequel to Digimon's Dusk and Dawn, I want the MC to meet the original navigator digimon, but they've digivolved, so mainly veteran players and fans who know their digimon lore can probably notice.

Like maybe a Porcupamon/Astamon and an Angewomon/Holydramon are the first to greet you and give you a short tour or tutorial in the game intro or functions as a sorta deuteragonist throughout the game.

I believe that the new digimon story game will be announced before the end of this year.

Let's start with the evidence.

We already know there has been a story game in the works since 2018 and that it would feature the Olympus XII

Notably, someone on the Digimon Story team seems to be a fan of Digimon Dawn and Digimon Dusk. After seeing the sayo-centric dlc for cyber sleuth we know that those games are at least a talking point. At the time of cyber sleuths release two other digimon story games came out that never get the kind of attention that Dawn/Dusk do.

On that note, Sayo/Koh and their partners Apollomom and Dianamon just released in the DCG

Apollomon and Dianamon are members of the Olympus XII. Sayoh and Koh are not only from a digimon story game, but are from a digimon story game set place in the digital world. As opposed to cyber sleuth/Hacker's Memory, which took place in the human world.

I think this is a deliberate move in the dcg to put those characters back in people's heads. We know the game has been in development for 5 years, it's about the right time for it. We also know based off Hacker's Memory and Survive that bamco sucks at marketing digimon games, which is why we haven't seen an official announcement. Plus, they may be shy after the fiasco with announcing Digimon Survive and how long it took to actually come out.

That's why I think soon we'll have a DCG set featuring the rest of the Olympus XII. Shortly after, there will be an announcement for the new Digimon story game.

What caused you to be a coronamon fan?

Definitely digimon dawn. It was my first ever digimon game. I still like to replay it every once and awhile but Apollomon is my favorite in the evolution line. Second would be Coronamon. His evolution line is so cool and very thought out. Thanks for the ask, anon!
